< Genesis 40 >

1 And it was after the things these they sinned [the] cup bearer of [the] king of Egypt and the baker to master their to [the] king of Egypt.
Le ɣeyiɣi aɖe megbe la, Egipte fia ƒe ahakula kple aboloƒola da vo ɖe woƒe aƒetɔ ŋu.
2 And he was angry Pharaoh towards two of officials his towards [the] chief of the cup bearers and towards [the] chief of the bakers.
Farao do dɔmedzoe ɖe dɔwɔla eve siawo, ahakulawo ƒe amegã kple aboloƒolawo ƒe amegã ŋu,
3 And he put them in [the] custody of [the] house of [the] commander of the bodyguards into [the] house of the prison [the] place where Joseph [was] imprisoned there.
eye wòlé wo ame eveawo de gaxɔ si me Yosef nɔ le Potifar, ame si nye fiaŋumewo ƒe amegã la ƒe mɔ me.
4 And he appointed [the] commander of the bodyguards Joseph with them and he served them and they were days in custody.
Wonɔ afi ma eteƒe didi, eye Potifar ɖoe na Yosef be wòakpɔ wo dzi.
5 And they dreamed a dream both of them each own dream his in a night one each according to [the] interpretation of dream his the cup bearer and the baker who [belonged] to [the] king of Egypt who [were] imprisoned in [the] house of the prison.
Le zã aɖe me la, ame eve siawo dometɔ ɖe sia ɖe, fia ƒe ahakula kple abolomela ku drɔ̃e vovovowo. Drɔ̃e ɖe sia ɖe kple egɔmeɖeɖe.
6 And he came to them Joseph in the morning and he saw them and [were] they looking dejected.
Esi ŋu ke la, Yosef kpɔ be wolé blanui.
7 And he asked [the] officials of Pharaoh who [were] with him in [the] custody of [the] house of master his saying why? [are] faces your sad this day.
Yosef bia wo be, “Nu ka tututue le mia wɔm?”
8 And they said to him a dream we dreamed and [is one who] interprets there not it and he said to them Joseph ¿ not [belong] to God [do] interpretations recount [it] please to me.
Woɖo eŋu be, “Mí ame evea míeku drɔ̃e le zã si va yi la me, ke ame aɖeke mele afi sia aɖe drɔ̃eawo gɔme na mí o.” Yosef gblɔ na wo be, “Mawue ɖea drɔ̃e gɔme; ke milĩ drɔ̃eawo nam kpɔ.”
9 And he recounted [the] chief of the cup bearers dream his to Joseph and he said to him in dream my and there! a vine [was] before me.
Ale ahakulawo ƒe amegã la lĩ eƒe drɔ̃e la na Yosef. Egblɔ nɛ be, “Mekpɔ wainka aɖe le ŋgɔnye le nye drɔ̃e la me,
10 And [were] on the vine three branches and it when [it was] budding it went up blossom its they ripened clusters its grapes.
eye alɔ etɔ̃ nɔ wainka la ŋu. Esi wode asi dzedze kple seƒoƒo me ko la, woƒe tsetsewo de asi ɖiɖi me.
11 And [the] cup of Pharaoh [was] in hand my and I took the grapes and I squeezed them into [the] cup of Pharaoh and I put the cup on [the] palm of Pharaoh.
Melé Farao ƒe ahakplu ɖe asi, ale megbe waintsetseawo, eye mefia wo ɖe kplu la me hetsɔ na fia la be wòano.”
12 And he said to him Joseph this [is] interpretation its [the] three the branches [are] three days they.
Yosef gblɔ nɛ be, “Mese wo drɔ̃e la gɔme. Alɔdze etɔ̃awo fia ŋkeke etɔ̃!
13 In again - three days he will lift up Pharaoh head your and he will restore you to office your and you will put [the] cup of Pharaoh in hand his according to the custom former when you were cup bearer his.
Le ŋkeke etɔ̃ megbe la, Farao aɖe wò tso gaxɔ me, eye wòana nàgayi wò dɔ dzi abe ahakula ene.
14 That except you have remembered me with you when it will go well for you and you will do please with me loyalty and you will bring to remembrance me to Pharaoh and you will bring out me from the house this.
Ne ègatrɔ yi wò dɔ me, eye mi kple Farao dome gava nyo la, meɖe kuku na wò be nàve nunye, aɖo ŋku dzinye na Farao be wòaɖem le gaxɔ me,
15 For certainly I was stolen from [the] land of the Hebrews and also here not I have done anything that they have put me in the pit.
elabena woƒlem dzoe tso nye amewo, Hebritɔwo dome; kpe ɖe esia ŋu la, meva le gaxɔ me le afi sia le esime nyemewɔ naneke si dze na gaxɔmenɔnɔ o.”
16 And he saw [the] chief of the bakers that good he had interpreted and he said to Joseph also I in dream my and there! three baskets of white bread [were] on head my.
Esi aboloƒolawo ƒe amegã kpɔ be nya nyui le drɔ̃e gbãtɔ ƒe gɔmeɖeɖe me la, eya hã lĩ eƒe drɔ̃e la na Yosef hegblɔ be, “Le nye drɔ̃ekuku me la, melé abolokusi etɔ̃ ɖe ta;
17 And [was] in the basket upper some of all [the] food of Pharaoh [the] work of a baker and the bird[s] [was] eating them from the basket from on head my.
abolo ƒomevi vovovowo le kusi edzitɔ me na Farao, ke xeviwo va ɖu wo keŋkeŋ.”
18 And he answered Joseph and he said this [is] interpretation its [the] three the baskets [are] three days they.
Yosef gblɔ nɛ be, “Drɔ̃e la gɔmee nye be kusi etɔ̃awo fia ŋkeke etɔ̃.
19 In again - three days he will lift up Pharaoh head your from on you and he will hang you on a tree and it will eat the bird[s] flesh your from on you.
Le ŋkeke etɔ̃ megbe la, Farao atso ta le nuwò, ahe wò ɖe ati ŋu, eye xeviwo aɖu wò lã.”
20 And it was - on the day third ([the] day of *LAH(b)*) being born Pharaoh and he made a feast for all servants his and he lifted up [the] head of - [the] chief of the cup bearers and [the] head of [the] chief of the bakers in among servants his.
Le ŋkeke etɔ̃ megbe la, Farao ɖu eƒe dzigbezã, eye wòɖo kplɔ gã aɖe na eŋumewo kple eƒe aƒemetɔwo. Ena wokplɔ ahakula la kple aboloƒolawo ƒe amegã la tso gaxɔ me vɛ.
21 And he restored [the] chief of the cup bearers to cup bearing his and he put the cup on [the] palm of Pharaoh.
Tete wògatsɔ ahakulawo ƒe amegã ƒe dɔ nɛ;
22 And [the] chief of the bakers he hanged just as he had interpreted for them Joseph.
ke etso kufia na aboloƒolawo ƒe amegã ya be woatɔ eƒe ŋutilã ɖe ati nu abe ale si Yosef gblɔe do ŋgɔ tututu ene.
23 And not he remembered [the] chief of the cup bearers Joseph and he forgot him.
Ke Farao ƒe ahakulawo ƒe amegã la ŋlɔ Yosef be enumake, eye megabua eŋu kura o.
