Genesis 38
1 And it was at the time that and he went down Judah from with brothers his and he turned aside to a man an Adullamite and name his [was] Hirah.
১ঐ দিনের যিহূদা নিজের ভাইদের কাছ থেকে চলে গিয়ে অদুল্লমীয় হীরা নামে একটি লোকের কাছে গেল।
2 And he saw there Judah a daughter of a man a Canaanite and name his [was] Shua and he took her and he went into her.
২সে জায়গায় শূয় নামে এক কনানীয় পুরুষের মেয়েকে দেখে যিহূদা তাকে গ্রহণ করে তার কাছে গেল।
3 And she conceived and she bore a son and he called name his Er.
৩পরে সে গর্ভবতী হয়ে ছেলে প্রসব করল ও যিহূদা তার নাম এর রাখল।
4 And she conceived again and she bore a son and she called name his Onan.
৪পরে আবার তার গর্ভ হলে সে ছেলে প্রসব করে তার নাম ওনন রাখল।
5 And she repeated again and she bore a son and she called name his Shelah and he was in Kezib when bore she him.
৫আবার তার গর্ভ হলে সে ছেলে প্রসব করে তার নাম শেলা রাখল; এর জন্মের দিনের যিহূদা কষীবে ছিল।
6 And he took Judah a wife for Er firstborn his and name her [was] Tamar.
৬পরে যিহূদা তামর নামে একটি মেয়েকে এনে নিজের বড় ছেলে এরের সঙ্গে বিয়ে দিল।
7 And he was Er [the] firstborn of Judah evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh and he put to death him Yahweh.
৭কিন্তু যিহূদার বড় ছেলে এর সদাপ্রভুর দৃষ্টিতে দুষ্ট হওয়াতে সদাপ্রভু তাকে মেরে ফেললেন।
8 And he said Judah to Onan go into [the] wife of brother your and act as a husband's brother for her and raise up offspring for brother your.
৮তাতে যিহূদা ওননকে বলল, “তুমি নিজের ভাইয়ের স্ত্রীর কাছে যাও ও তার প্রতি দেবরের কর্তব্য সাধন করে নিজের ভাইয়ের জন্য বংশ উৎপন্ন কর।”
9 And he knew Onan that not to him it will belong the offspring and it was if he went into [the] wife of brother his and he spoiled [the] ground towards to not to give offspring to brother his.
৯কিন্তু ঐ বংশ নিজের হবে না, এই বুঝে ওনন ভাইয়ের স্ত্রীর কাছে গেলেও ভাইয়ের বংশ উৎপন্ন করবার অনিচ্ছাতে মাটিতে বীর্যপাত করল।
10 And it was evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh [that] which he had done and he put to death also him.
১০তার সেই কাজ সদাপ্রভুর দৃষ্টিতে মন্দ হওয়াতে তিনি তাকেও হত্যা করলেন।
11 And he said Judah to Tamar daughter-in-law his dwell a widow [the] house of father your until he will grow up Shelah son my for he said lest he should die also he like brothers his and she went Tamar and she dwelt [the] house of father her.
১১তখন যিহূদা ছেলের স্ত্রী তামরকে বলল, “যে পর্যন্ত আমার ছেলে শেলা বড় না হয়, ততক্ষণ তুমি নিজের বাবার বাড়ি গিয়ে বিধবাই থাক।” কারণ সে বলল যদি ভাইদের মতো সেও মারা যায়। অতএব তামর বাবার বাড়ি গিয়ে বাস করল।
12 And they increased the days and she died [the] daughter of Shua [the] wife of Judah and he was comforted Judah and he went up to [the] shearers of sheep his he and Hirah friend his the Adullamite Timnah towards.
১২পরে অনেক দিন গেলে শূয়ের মেয়ে যিহূদার স্ত্রী মারা গেল, পরে যিহূদা সান্ত্বনাযুক্ত হয়ে নিজের বন্ধু অদুল্লমীয় হীরার সঙ্গে তিম্নায়, যারা তাঁর মেষদের লোম কাটছিল, তাদের কাছে গেল।
13 And it was told to Tamar saying there! father-in-law your [is] going up Timnah towards to shear sheep his.
১৩তখন কেউ তামরকে বলল, “দেখ, তোমার শ্বশুর নিজের মেষদের লোম কাটতে তিম্নায় যাচ্ছেন।”
14 And she removed [the] clothes of widowhood her from on her and she covered with the veil and she wrapped herself up and she sat at [the] entrance of Enaim which [is] on [the] road of Timnah towards for she had seen that he had grown up Shelah and she not she had been given to him to a wife.
১৪তখন সে বিধবার বস্ত্র ত্যাগ করে ঘোমটা দিয়ে নিজেকে ঢাকলেন ও গায়ে কাপড় দিয়ে তিম্নার পথের পাশে অবস্থিত ঐনয়িমের প্রবেশস্থানে বসে থাকল; কারণ সে দেখল, শেলা বড় হলেও তার সঙ্গে তার বিয়ে হল না।
15 And he saw her Judah and he considered her to a prostitute for she had covered face her.
১৫পরে যিহূদা তাকে দেখে বেশ্যা মনে করল, কারণ সে মুখ আচ্ছাদন করেছিল।
16 And he turned aside to her to the road and he said give! please let me go into you for not he knew that [was] daughter-in-law his she and she said what? will you give to me that you will come into me.
১৬তাই সে ছেলের স্ত্রীকে চিনতে না পারাতে পথের পাশে তার কাছে গিয়ে বলল, “এস, আমি তোমার কাছে যাই।” তামর বলল, “আমার কাছে আসার জন্য আমাকে কি দেবে?”
17 And he said I I will send a kid of goats from the flock and she said if you will give a pledge until sending [it] you.
১৭সে বলল, “পাল থেকে একটি ছাগল ছানা পাঠিয়ে দেব। তামর বলল, যতক্ষণ তা না পাঠাও, ততক্ষণ আমার কাছে কি কিছু বন্ধক রাখবে?”
18 And he said what? [is] the pledge which I will give to you and she said seal your and cord your and staff your which [is] in hand your and he gave [them] to her and he went into her and she conceived to him.
১৮সে বলল, “কি বন্ধক রাখব?” তামর বলল, “তোমার এই মোহর ও সুতো ও হাতের লাঠি।” তখন সে তাকে সেইগুলি দিয়ে তার কাছে গেল; তাতে সে তা থেকে গর্ভবতী হল।
19 And she arose and she went and she removed veil her from on her and she put on [the] clothes of widowhood her.
১৯পরে সে উঠে চলে গেল এবং সেই আবরণ ত্যাগ করে নিজের বৈধব্য বস্ত্র পরিধান করল।
20 And he sent Judah [the] kid of the goats by [the] hand of friend his the Adullamite to take the pledge from [the] hand of the woman and not he found her.
২০পরে যিহূদা সেই স্ত্রীলোকের কাছ থেকে বন্ধক দ্রব্য নেবার জন্য নিজের অদুল্লমীয় বন্ধুর হাতে ছাগল ছানাটি পাঠিয়ে দিল, কিন্তু সে তাকে পেল না।
21 And he asked [the] men of place her saying where? [is] the cult prostitute she [was] at Enaim at the road and they said not she was in this [place] a cult prostitute.
২১তখন সে সেখানকার লোকদেরকে জিজ্ঞাসা করল, “ঐনয়িমের পথের পাশে যে বেশ্যা ছিল, সে কোথায়?” তারা বলল, “এ জায়গায় কোনো বেশ্যা আসেনি।
22 And he returned to Judah and he said not I found her and also [the] men of the place they said not she was in this [place] a cult prostitute.
২২পরে সে যিহূদার কাছে ফিরে গিয়ে বলল, আমি তাকে পেলাম না এবং সেখানকার লোকেরাও বলল, এ জায়গায় কোনো বেশ্যা আসেনি।”
23 And he said Judah let her take [them] for herself lest we should become contempt there! I sent the kid this and you not you found her.
২৩তখন যিহূদা বলল, “তার কাছে যা আছে, সে তা রাখুক, না হলে আমরা লজ্জায় পড়ব। দেখ, আমি এই ছাগল ছানাটি পাঠিয়েছিলাম, কিন্তু তুমি তাকে পেলে না।”
24 And it was - when from three months and it was told to Judah saying she has acted as a prostitute Tamar daughter-in-law your and also here! [she is] pregnant to prostitution and he said Judah bring out her so she may be burned.
২৪প্রায় তিন মাস পরে কেউ যিহূদাকে বলল, “তোমার ছেলের স্ত্রী তামর ব্যভিচারিণী হয়েছে, আরো দেখ, ব্যভিচারের জন্য তার গর্ভ হয়েছে।” তখন যিহূদা বলল, “তাকে বাইরে এনে পুড়িয়ে দাও।”
25 She [was being] brought out and she she sent to father-in-law her saying to a man whom these [belong] to him I [am] pregnant and she said investigate please [belong] to whom? the seal and the cord and the staff these.
২৫পরে বাইরে আনার দিনের সে শ্বশুরকে বলে পাঠাল, যার এই সব বস্তু, সেই পুরুষ থেকে আমার গর্ভ হয়েছে। সে আরো বলল, “এই মোহর, সুতো ও লাঠি কার? চিনে দেখ।”
26 And he recognized [them] Judah and he said she is righteous more than me for since not I gave her to Shelah son my and not he repeated again to know her.
২৬তখন যিহূদা সেগুলি চিনে বলল, “সে আমার থেকেও অনেক ধার্মিক, কারণ আমি তাকে নিজের ছেলে শেলাকে দিইনি। পরে যিহূদা তাঁর সঙ্গে আর কোনো শারীরিক সম্পর্ক স্থাপন করলেন না।”
27 And it was at [the] time gave birth she and there! twins [were] in womb her.
২৭পরে তামরের প্রসবকাল উপস্থিত হল, আর দেখ। তার গর্ভে যমজ সন্তান।
28 And it was when gave birth she and he put out a hand and she took the midwife and she tied on hand his a scarlet thread saying this one he came out first.
২৮তার প্রসবকালে একটি বালক হাত বের করল; তাতে ধাত্রী তার সেই হাত ধরে রক্তবর্ণ সুতো বেঁধে বলল, “এই প্রথমে ভূমিষ্ট হল।”
29 And it was - when [he was] withdrawing hand his and there! he came out brother his and she said how! you have made a breach on yourself a breach and someone called name his Perez.
২৯কিন্তু সে নিজের হাত টেনে নিলে দেখ, তার ভাই ভূমিষ্ট হল; তখন ধাত্রী বলল, “তুমি কিভাবে নিজের জন্য ভেদ করে আসলে?” অতএব তার নাম পেরস [ভেদ] হল।
30 And after he came out brother his whom [was] on hand his the scarlet thread and someone called name his Zerah.
৩০পরে হাতে রক্তবর্ণ সুতো বাঁধা তার ভাই ভূমিষ্ট হলে তার নাম সেরহ হল।
