< Genesis 36 >
1 And these [are] [the] accounts of Esau that [is] Edom.
Voici l’histoire d’Esaü, qui est Edom.
2 Esau he took wives his from [the] daughters of Canaan Adah [the] daughter of Elon the Hittite and Oholibamah [the] daughter of Anah [the] daughter of Zibeon the Hivite.
Esaü prit ses femmes parmi les filles de Canaan: Ada, fille d’Elon, le Hittite; Oolibama, fille d’Ana, fille de Sébéon, le Hévéen;
3 And Basemath [the] daughter of Ishmael [the] sister of Nebaioth.
et Basemath, fille d’Ismaël, sœur de Nabaïoth.
4 And she bore Adah to Esau Eliphaz and Basemath she bore Reuel.
Ada enfanta à Esaü Eliphaz, Basemath enfanta Rahuel,
5 And Oholibamah she bore (Jeush *Q(K)*) and Jalam and Korah these [were] [the] sons of Esau who they were born to him in [the] land of Canaan.
et Oolibama enfanta Jéhus, Ihélon et Coré. Ce sont là les fils d’Esaü, qui lui naquirent au pays de Canaan.
6 And he took Esau wives his and sons his and daughters his and all [the] people of household his and livestock his and all animal[s] his and all possession[s] his which he had accumulated in [the] land of Canaan and he went to a land [away] from before Jacob brother his.
Esaü prit ses femmes, ses fils et ses filles, et toutes les personnes de sa maison, ses troupeaux, tout son bétail et tous les biens qu’il avait acquis dans le pays de Canaan, et il s’en alla dans un autre pays, loin de Jacob, son frère.
7 For it was possession[s] their [too] much for dwelling together and not it was able [the] land of sojournings their to support them because of livestock their.
Car leurs biens étaient trop considérables pour qu’ils demeurassent ensemble, et le pays où ils séjournaient ne pouvait leur suffire à cause de leurs troupeaux.
8 And he dwelt Esau in [the] hill country of Seir Esau that [is] Edom.
Esaü s’établit dans la montagne de Séir; Esaü est Edom.
9 And these [are] [the] accounts of Esau [the] ancestor of Edom in [the] hill country of Seir.
Voici la postérité d’Esaü, père d’Edom, dans la montagne de Séir.
10 These [are] [the] names of [the] sons of Esau Eliphaz [the] son of Adah [the] wife of Esau Reuel [the] son of Basemath [the] wife of Esau.
Voici les noms des fils d’Esaü: Eliphaz, fils d’Ada, femme d’Esaü; Rahuel, fils de Basemath, femme d’Esaü. —
11 And they were [the] sons of Eliphaz Teman Omar Zepho and Gatam and Kenaz.
Les fils d’Eliphaz furent: Théman, Omar, Sépho, Gatham et Cénez.
12 And Timna - she was a concubine of Eliphaz [the] son of Esau and she bore to Eliphaz Amalek these [were] [the] sons of Adah [the] wife of Esau.
Thamna fut concubine d’Eliphaz, fils d’Esaü, et elle enfanta Amalech à Eliphaz. Ce sont là les fils d’Ada, femme d’Esaü. —
13 And these [were] [the] sons of Reuel Nahath and Zerah Shammah and Mizzah these they were [the] sons of Basemath [the] wife of Esau.
Voici les fils de Rahuel: Nahath, Zara, Samma et Méza. Ce sont là les fils de Basemath, femme d’Esaü. —
14 And these they were [the] sons of Oholibamah [the] daughter of Anah [the] daughter of Zibeon [the] wife of Esau and she bore to Esau (Jeush *Q(K)*) and Jalam and Korah.
Voici les fils d’Oolibama, fille d’Ana, fille de Sébéon, femme d’Esaü: elle enfanta à Esaü Jéhus, Ihélon et Coré.
15 These [were] [the] chiefs of [the] sons of Esau [the] sons of Eliphaz [the] firstborn of Esau chief Teman chief Omar chief Zepho chief Kenaz.
Voici les chefs des tribus issues des fils d’Esaü. Fils d’Eliphaz, premier-né d’Esaü: le chef Théman, le chef Omar, le chef Sépho, le chef Cénez,
16 Chief Korah chief Gatam chief Amalek these [were] [the] chiefs of Eliphaz in [the] land of Edom these [were] [the] sons of Adah.
le chef Coré, le chef Gatham, le chef Amalech. Ce sont là les chefs issus d’Eliphaz, au pays d’Edom; ce sont là les fils d’Ada. —
17 And these [were] [the] sons of Reuel [the] son of Esau chief Nahath chief Zerah chief Shammah chief Mizzah these [were] [the] chiefs of Reuel in [the] land of Edom these [were] [the] sons of Basemath [the] wife of Esau.
Fils de Rahuel, fils d’Esaü: le chef Nahath, le chef Zara, le chef Samma et le chef Méza. Ce sont là les chefs issus de Rahuel, au pays d’Edom; ce sont là les fils de Basemath, femme d’Esaü. —
18 And these [were] [the] sons of Oholibamah [the] wife of Esau chief Jeush chief Jalam chief Korah these [were] [the] chiefs of Oholibamah [the] daughter of Anah [the] wife of Esau.
Fils d’Oolibama, femme d’Esaü: le chef Jéhus, le chef Ihélon et le chef Coré. Ce sont là les chefs issus d’Oolibama, fille d’Ana et femme d’Esaü. —
19 These [were] [the] sons of Esau and these [were] chiefs their that [is] Edom.
Ce sont là les fils d’Esaü, et ce sont là leurs chefs; c’est Edom.
20 These [were] [the] sons of Seir the Horite [the] inhabitants of the land Lotan and Shobal and Zibeon and Anah.
Voici les fils de Séir, le Horréen, qui habitaient le pays: Lotan, Sobal, Sébéon, Ana,
21 And Dishon and Ezer and Dishan these [were] [the] chiefs of the Horite[s] [the] sons of Seir in [the] land of Edom.
Dison, Eser et Disan. Ce sont là les chefs des Horréens, fils de Séir, au pays d’Edom. —
22 And they were [the] sons of Lotan Hori and Hemam and [the] sister of Lotan [was] Timna.
Les fils de Lotan furent Hori et Héman, et Thamma était sœur de Lotan. —
23 And these [were] [the] sons of Shobal Alvan and Manahath and Ebal Shepho and Onam.
Voici les fils de Sobal: Alvan, Manahat, Ebal, Sépho et Onam. —
24 And these [were] [the] sons of Zibeon and Aiah and Anah he [was] Anah who he found the hot springs in the wilderness when was pasturing he the donkeys of Zibeon father his.
Voici les fils de Sébéon: Aja et Ana. C’est cet Ana qui trouva les sources chaudes dans le désert, en faisant paître les ânes de Sébéon, son père. —
25 And these [were] [the] children of Anah Dishon and Oholibamah [the] daughter of Anah.
Voici les enfants d’Ana: Dison et Oolibama, fille d’Ana. —
26 And these [were] [the] sons of Dishan Hemdan and Eshban and Ithran and Keran.
Voici les fils de Dison: Hamdan, Eséban, Jéthram et Charan. —
27 These [were] [the] sons of Ezer Bilhan and Zaavan and Akan.
Voici les fils d’Eser: Balan, Zavan et Acan. —
28 These [were] [the] sons of Dishan Uz and Aran.
Voici les fils de Disan: Hus et Aram.
29 These [were] [the] chiefs of the Horite[s] chief Lotan chief Shobal chief Zibeon chief Anah.
Voici les chefs des Horréens: le chef Lotan, le chef Sobal, le chef Sébéon, le chef Ana,
30 Chief Dishon chief Ezer chief Dishan these [were] [the] chiefs of the Horite[s] to chiefs their in [the] land of Seir.
le chef Dison, le chef Eser, le chef Disan. Ce sont là les chefs des Horréens, chacun de leurs chefs au pays de Séir.
31 And these [were] the kings who they reigned in [the] land of Edom before reigned a king of [the] people of Israel.
Voici les rois qui ont régné dans le pays d’Edom, avant qu’un roi régnât sur les enfants d’Israël:
32 And he reigned in Edom Bela [the] son of Beor and [the] name of city his [was] Dinhabah.
Béla, fils de Béor, régna en Edom, et le nom de sa ville était Denaba. —
33 And he died Bela and he reigned in place of him Jobab [the] son of Zerah from Bozrah.
Béla mourut, et à sa place régna Jobab, fils de Zara, de Bosra. —
34 And he died Jobab and he reigned in place of him Husham from [the] land of the Temanite[s].
Jobab mourut, et à sa place régna Husam, du pays des Thémanites. —
35 And he died Husham and he reigned in place of him Hadad [the] son of Bedad who defeated Midian in [the] region of Moab and [the] name of city his [was] Avith.
Husam mourut, et à sa place régna Adad, fils de Badad, qui défit Madian dans les champs de Moab; le nom de sa ville était Avith. —
36 And he died Hadad and he reigned in place of him Samlah from Masrekah.
Hadad mourut, et à sa place régna Semla, de Masréca. —
37 And he died Samlah and he reigned in place of him Shaul from Rehoboth the River.
Semla mourut, et à sa place régna Saül, de Rohoboth sur le fleuve. —
38 And he died Shaul and he reigned in place of him Baal-Hanan [the] son of Achbor.
Saül mourut, et à sa place régna Balanan, fils d’Achor. —
39 And he died Baal-Hanan [the] son of Achbor and he reigned in place of him Hadar and [the] name of city his [was] Pau and [the] name of wife his [was] Mehetabel [the] daughter of Matred [the] daughter of Me-Zahab.
Balanan, fils d’Achor, mourut, et à sa place régna Hadar; le nom de sa ville était Phaü, et le nom de sa femme Méétabel, fille de Matred, fille de Mézaab.
40 And these [were] [the] names of [the] chiefs of Esau to clans their to places their by names their chief Timna chief Alvah chief Jetheth.
Voici les noms des chefs issus d’Esaü, selon leurs tribus, leurs territoires et d’après leurs noms: le chef Thamma, le chef Alva, le chef Jétheth,
41 Chief Oholibamah chief Elah chief Pinon.
le chef Oolibama, le chef Ela, le chef Phinon,
42 Chief Kenaz chief Teman chief Mibzar.
le chef Cénez, le chef Théman, le chef Mabsar,
43 Chief Magdiel chief Iram these - [were] [the] chiefs of Edom to dwelling places their in [the] land of possession their that [was] Esau [the] ancestor of Edom.
le chef Magdiel, le chef Hiram. Ce sont là les chefs d’Edom, selon leurs demeures dans le pays qu’ils occupent. C’est là Esaü, père d’Edom.
