Genesis 33
1 And he lifted up Jacob eyes his and he saw and there! Esau [was] coming and [were] with him four hundred man and he divided the children with Leah and with Rachel and with [the] two the maidservants.
யாக்கோபு நிமிர்ந்து பார்த்தபோது, தொலைவில் ஏசா நானூறு பேருடன் வருவதைக் கண்டான்; ஆகவே அவன் லேயாளிடமும், ராகேலிடமும், இரு பணிப்பெண்களிடமும் பிள்ளைகளைப் பிரித்துக்கொடுத்தான்.
2 And he put the maidservants and children their first and Leah and children her behind and Rachel and Joseph behind.
இருபணிப் பெண்களையும் அவர்கள் பிள்ளைகளையும், முன்னால் நிறுத்தினான். அடுத்தாக லேயாளையும் அவள் பிள்ளைகளையும், கடைசியில் ராகேலையும் யோசேப்பையும் நிறுத்தினான்.
3 And he he passed on before them and he bowed down [the] ground towards seven times until drew near he to brother his.
அவர்களுக்கு முன்பாகச் சென்ற யாக்கோபு, தன் சகோதரனாகிய ஏசா நெருங்கிவந்து கொண்டிருப்பதைக் கண்டு, ஏழுமுறை தரைமட்டும் குனிந்து அவனை வாழ்த்தினான்.
4 And he ran Esau to meet him and he embraced him and he fell on (neck his *Q(k)*) and he kissed him and they wept.
ஆனால் ஏசாவோ, யாக்கோபைக் கண்டதும் ஓடிப்போய், அவனைத் தழுவி, அவன் கழுத்தைக் கட்டிப்பிடித்து முத்தமிட்டான். இருவருமே அழுதார்கள்.
5 And he lifted up eyes his and he saw the women and the children and he said who? [are] these to you and he said the children whom he has shown favor to God servant your.
பின்பு ஏசா நிமிர்ந்து பார்த்து, பெண்களையும் பிள்ளைகளையும் கண்டபோது, “உன்னோடிருக்கும் இவர்கள் யார்?” என்று யாக்கோபிடம் கேட்டான். அதற்கு அவன், “இவர்கள் உமது அடியவனாகிய எனக்கு இறைவன் கிருபையாய்த் தந்த பிள்ளைகள்” என்றான்.
6 And they approached the maidservants they and children their and they bowed down.
அப்பொழுது பணிப்பெண்களும் அவர்களுடைய பிள்ளைகளும் வந்து குனிந்து வணங்கினார்கள்.
7 And she approached also Leah and children her and they bowed down and after he approached Joseph and Rachel and they bowed down.
அடுத்ததாக லேயாளும் தன் பிள்ளைகளுடன் வந்து வணங்கினாள். கடைசியாக ராகேலும் யோசேப்பும் வந்து வணங்கினார்கள்.
8 And he said who? to you [is] all the camp this which I have met and he said to find favor in [the] eyes of lord my.
அப்பொழுது ஏசா, “நான் வழியிலே சந்தித்த மிருகக் கூட்டங்களை நீ அனுப்பியதன் காரணம் என்ன?” என்று கேட்டான். அதற்கு யாக்கோபு, “ஆண்டவனே! அது உம்முடைய கண்களில் தயவு கிடைக்கவேண்டும் என்பதற்காகவே” என்றான்.
9 And he said Esau there [belongs] to me much O brother my let it be[long] to you [that] which [belongs] to you.
அதற்கு ஏசா, “என் சகோதரனே, ஏற்கெனவே என்னிடம் ஏராளம் இருக்கின்றன. உன்னிடம் உள்ளவற்றை நீயே வைத்துக்கொள்” என்றான்.
10 And he said Jacob may not [it be] please if please I have found favor in view your and you will accept gift my from hand my for since I have seen face your like seeing [the] face of God and you have accepted favorably me.
அதற்கு யாக்கோபு, “அப்படியல்ல, உம்முடைய கண்களில் எனக்குத் தயவு கிடைக்குமானால், என்னிடமிருந்து இந்த அன்பளிப்பை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும். இப்பொழுது என்னை நீர் தயவாய் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டிருக்கிறபடியால், நான் உமது முகத்தைப் பார்ப்பது இறைவனுடைய முகத்தைப் பார்ப்பதுபோல் இருக்கிறது.
11 Take please blessing my which it was brought to you for he has shown favor to me God and that there [belongs] to me everything and he urged him and he took [it].
இறைவன் என்மேல் இரக்கமுடையவராயிருக்கிறார், எனக்குத் தேவையானவை எல்லாம் என்னிடம் இருக்கின்றன. எனவே உமக்குக் கொண்டுவரப்பட்ட அன்பளிப்புகளைத் தயவுசெய்து ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும்” என்று சொன்னான். அவ்வாறு அவன் வற்புறுத்தியபடியால் ஏசா அவற்றை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டான்.
12 And he said let us set out and let us go and I will go to before you.
அதன்பின்பு ஏசா, “வா, நாம் புறப்பட்டுச் செல்வோம்; நான் உன்முன் செல்கிறேன்” என்று யாக்கோபைக் கூப்பிட்டான்.
13 And he said to him lord my [is] knowing that the children [are] weak and the sheep and the cattle [are] nursing with me and people will drive hard them a day one and they will die all the flock.
அதற்கு யாக்கோபு ஏசாவிடம், “எனது பிள்ளைகளோ சிறு குழந்தைகள், அதோடு பால் கொடுக்கும் ஆடுகளையும், பசுக்களையும் நான் கவனிக்க வேண்டும் என்றும் என் ஆண்டவனுக்குத் தெரியும். அவற்றை ஒரே நாளில் வருத்தி ஓட்டிக்கொண்டு போனால் எல்லா மிருகங்களும் இறந்துவிடும்.
14 Let him pass on please lord my before servant his and I (I will journey on *LBH(a)*) to gentleness my to [the] foot of the property which [is] before me and to [the] foot of the children until that I will come to lord my Seir towards.
ஆகையால் என் ஆண்டவனாகிய நீர் உமது அடியானுக்கு முன்னே செல்லும்; நான் உமக்குப் பின்னால் என் பிள்ளைகளுடைய மந்தைகளுடைய நடையின் வேகத்திற்குத் தக்கதாக நடந்து, உமது இருப்பிடமாகிய சேயீரை வந்து சேருவேன்” என்றான்.
15 And he said Esau let me place please with you some of the people which [is] with me and he said why? this let me find favor in [the] eyes of lord my.
அப்பொழுது ஏசா, “அப்படியானால் என்னுடைய ஆட்களில் சிலரை உன்னுடன் விட்டுப் போகிறேன்” என்றான். அதற்கு யாக்கோபு, “அப்படிச் செய்வானேன்? என் ஆண்டவனுடைய கண்களில் எனக்குத் தயவு கிடைத்தால் மட்டும் போதும்” என்றான்.
16 And he returned on the day that Esau to way his Seir towards.
எனவே ஏசா, அன்றைக்கே சேயீருக்குத் திரும்பிப் போகப் புறப்பட்டான்.
17 And Jacob he set out Succoth towards and he built for himself a house and for livestock his he made shelters there-fore he called [the] name of the place Succoth.
ஆனால் யாக்கோபு, சுக்கோத்துக்குப் போய் அங்கே தனக்கு ஒரு இடத்தை அமைத்து, தன் வளர்ப்பு மிருகங்களுக்கும் குடில்களைப் போட்டான், அதினாலேயே அந்த இடத்திற்குச் சுக்கோத் என்னும் பெயர் வந்தது.
18 And he came Jacob safe [the] city of Shechem which [is] in [the] land of Canaan when came he from Paddan Aram and he camped with [the] face of the city.
பின்பு யாக்கோபு பதான் அராமிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு, பாதுகாப்பாக கானான் நாட்டிலுள்ள சீகேம் பட்டணத்திற்கு வந்து, அங்கே அந்த பட்டணம் தெரியக்கூடிய இடத்தில் கூடாரம் அமைத்தான்.
19 And he bought [the] portion of the field where he had pitched there tent his from [the] hand of [the] sons of Hamor [the] father of Shechem for a hundred piece[s] of money.
யாக்கோபு தான் கூடாரம் அமைத்த அந்த நிலத்தை, ஏமோரின் மகன்களிடமிருந்து நூறு வெள்ளிக்காசுக்கு வாங்கினான். இந்த ஏமோர் சீகேமின் தகப்பன்.
20 And he set up there an altar and he called it El Elohe Israel.
அங்கே யாக்கோபு ஒரு பலிபீடத்தைக் கட்டி அதற்கு, ஏல்எல்லோகே இஸ்ரயேல் என்று பெயரிட்டான்.
