Genesis 32
1 And Jacob he went to way his and they met him [the] angels of God.
A Jakób też poszedł w drogę swoję i potkali się z nim Aniołowie Boży.
2 And he said Jacob just when he saw them [is] [the] camp of God this and he called [the] name of the place that Mahanaim.
I rzekł Jakób ujrzawszy je: Obóz to Boży; i nazwał imię miejsca onego Mahanaim.
3 And he sent Jacob messengers before him to Esau brother his [the] land of towards Seir [the] region of Edom.
Potem posłał Jakób posły przed sobą do Ezawa, brata swego, do ziemi Seir, do krainy Edomskiej.
4 And he commanded them saying thus you will say! to lord my to Esau thus he says servant your Jacob with Laban I have sojourned and I have delayed until now.
I rozkazał im mówiąc: Tak rzeczecie do pana mego Ezawa: To mówi sługa twój Jakób: U Labana byłem gościem, i mieszkałem z nim aż do tego czasu.
5 And it be[longs] to me ox[en] and donkey[s] flock[s] and [male] servant[s] and female servant[s] and I have sent! to tell to lord my to find favor in view your.
A mam woły i osły, owce, i sługi, i służebnice, a posyłam odpowiedzieć panu memu, żebym znalazł łaskę w oczach twoich.
6 And they returned the messengers to Jacob saying we went to brother your to Esau and also [he is] coming to meet you and four hundred man [are] with him.
I wrócili się posłowie do Jakóba, mówiąc: Przyszliśmy do brata twego Ezawa, który też idzie przeciwko tobie, a cztery sta mężów z nim.
7 And he was afraid Jacob exceedingly and it was distress to him and he divided the people which [was] with him and the flock and the herd and the camels into two camps.
I zląkł się Jakób bardzo a strwożył się; i rozdzielił lud, który z nim był, i owce, i woły, i wielbłądy, na dwa hufce;
8 And he said if he will come Esau to the camp one and he will attack it and it will become the camp which remains an escaped remnant.
I rzekł: Jeźliby przyszedł Ezaw do jednego hufca, a poraziłby go, tedy hufiec, który pozostanie, będzie zachowany.
9 And he said Jacob O God of father my Abraham and [the] God of father my Isaac O Yahweh who said to me return to land your and to kindred your so let me do good with you.
I rzekł Jakób: Boże ojca mego Abrahama, i Boże ojca mego Izaaka, Panie, któryś do mnie rzekł: Wróć się do ziemi twojej, i do rodziny twojej, a uczynięć dobrze.
10 I am [too] insignificant for all the covenant loyalti and for all the faithfulness which you have done with servant your for with staff my I passed over the Jordan this and now I have become two camps.
Mniejszym jest niż wszystkie zmiłowania, i niż wszystka prawda, którąś uczynił z sługą swym. Albowiem tylko o lasce mojej przeszedłem ten Jordan, a teraz mam dwa hufce.
11 Deliver me please from [the] hand of brother my from [the] hand of Esau for [am] fearing I him lest he should come and he will attack me mother with children.
Wyrwij mię proszę z ręki brata mego, z ręki Ezawa; boć się go boję, by snać przyszedłszy nie zabił mię, i matki z synami.
12 And you you have said certainly I will do good with you and I will make offspring your like [the] sand of the sea which not it will be counted from multitude.
Wszakeś rzekł: Dobrze czyniąc będęć dobrze czynił, a rozmnożę nasienie twoje jako piasek morski, który zliczon być nie może, dla mnóstwa.
13 And he stayed [the] night there in the night that and he took some of which came in hand his a gift for Esau brother his.
I przenocował tam onej nocy, i wziął z tego, co miał przy ręku, upominek dla Ezawa, brata swego.
14 Female goats two hundred and male goats twenty ewes two hundred and rams twenty.
To jest kóz dwieście, i kozłów dwadzieścia, owiec dwieście, i baranów dwadzieścia.
15 Camels suckling and young their thirty cows forty and bulls ten female donkeys twenty and male donkeys ten.
Wielbłądzic odchowujących młode, ze źrebięty ich, trzydzieści, krów czterdzieści, i wołów dziesięć, dwadzieścia oślic, i dziesięć ośląt.
16 And he gave [them] in [the] hand of servants his herd herd to only it and he said to servants his pass over before me and a space you will put between a herd and between a herd.
I oddał je w ręce sług swoich, każde stado z osobna, i rzekł do sług swoich: Idźcie przede mną, a plac uczyńcie między stadem a między stadem.
17 And he commanded the first saying that he will meet you Esau brother my and he will ask you saying [belong] to whom? you and where? are you going and [belong] to whom? these [animals] before you.
I rozkazał pierwszemu, mówiąc: Gdy się spotka z tobą Ezaw, brat mój, a spyta cię, mówiąc: Czyjeś ty? i dokąd idziesz? a czyje to stado przed tobą?
18 And you will say to servant your to Jacob [is] a gift it [which has] been sent to lord my to Esau and there! also he [is] behind us.
Tedy powiesz: Sługi twego Jakóba jest to upominek, posłany panu memu Ezawowi, a oto, i sam idzie za nami.
19 And he commanded both the second as well as the third as well as all who were going behind the herds saying according to the manner this you will speak! to Esau when find you him.
Także też rozkazał drugiemu, i trzeciemu, i wszystkim idącym za temi stady, mówiąc: Temiż słowy mówcie do Ezawa, gdy go potkacie.
20 And you will say also there! servant your Jacob [is] behind us for he said I will cover face his by the gift that is going before me and after thus I will see face his perhaps he will lift up face my.
Powiecie mu też: Oto, sługa twój Jakób idzie za nami, mówił bowiem: Ubłagam oblicze jego upominkiem, który idzie przede mną, a potem ujrzę oblicze jego; owa mię snać w łaskę przyjmie.
21 And it passed on the gift on face his and he [was] staying [the] night in the night that in the camp.
I poszedł w przód on upominek przed obliczem jego, a sam przenocował onej nocy z hufcem swoim.
22 And he rose - in the night that and he took [the] two wives his and [the] two maidservants his and one [plus] ten sons his and he passed over [the] ford of Jabbok.
Wstawszy tedy onej nocy, wziął obie żony swe, i dwie służebnice swoje, i jedenaście synów swoich, i przeszedł przez bród Jabok,
23 And he took them and he sent over them the wadi and he sent over [that] which [belonged] to him.
A wziąwszy je, przeprawił je przez tęż rzekę, i przeprowadził wszystko, co miał.
24 And he remained Jacob to only him and he wrestled a man with him until came up the dawn.
A tylko sam Jakób został.
25 And he saw that not he prevailed to him and he touched [the] socket of thigh his and it was dislocated [the] socket of [the] thigh of Jacob when wrestled he with him.
A oto, biedził się z nim mąż aż do wejścia zorzy; który widząc, że go nie mógł przemóc, uderzył Jakóba w staw biodry jego, i wytrąciła się z stawu biodra Jakóbowa, gdy się z nim mocował.
26 And he said let go me for it has come up the dawn and he said not I will let go you that except you have blessed me.
I rzekł: Puść mię, bo już wschodzi zorza. I odpowiedział: Nie puszczę cię, aż mi będziesz błogosławił.
27 And he said to him what? [is] name your and he said Jacob.
Tedy mu rzekł: Co za imię twoje? I odpowiedział: Jakób.
28 And he said not Jacob it will be called again name your that except Israel for you have struggled with God and with people and you have prevailed.
I rzekł: Nie będzie nazywane więcej imię twoje Jakób, ale Izrael; boś sobie mężnie poczynał z Bogiem, i z ludźmi, i przemogłeś.
29 And he asked Jacob and he said tell! please name your and he said why? this do you ask to name my and he blessed him there.
I spytał Jakób mówiąc: Oznajmij mi proszę imię twoje; a on odpowiedział: Czemu się pytasz o imieniu mojem? I tamże mu błogosławił.
30 And he called Jacob [the] name of the place Peniel for I have seen God face to face and it has been delivered life my.
Tedy nazwał Jakób imię miejsca onego Fanuel, mówiąc: Iżem widział Boga twarzą w twarz, a zachowana jest dusza moja.
31 And it rose to him the sun just when he passed over Penuel and he [was] limping on thigh his.
I weszło mu słońce, kiedy minął miejsce Fanuel, a on uchramował na biodrę swoję.
32 There-fore not they eat [the] people of Israel [the] sinew of the tendon which [is] on [the] socket of the thigh until the day this for he touched [the] socket of [the] thigh of Jacob [the] sinew of the tendon.
Przetoż nie jadają synowie Izraelscy żyły skurczonej, która jest przy stawie biodry, aż do dnia tego, iż był uderzył w staw biodry Jakóbowej, i w żyłę skurczoną.
