< Genesis 30 >

1 And she saw Rachel that not she had borne children to Jacob and she was jealous Rachel of sister her and she said to Jacob give! to me children and if not [am] about to die I.
2 And it burned [the] anger of Jacob on Rachel and he said ¿ in place of God [am] I who he has withheld from you fruit of [the] womb.
Na ka mura ake te riri a Hakopa ki a Rahera: ka mea ia, Ko te atua ranei ahau e kaiponu atu nei i te hua mo tou kopu?
3 And she said here! maidservant my Bilhah go into her so she may bear children on knees my so I may be built up also I from her.
4 And she gave to him Bilhah maidservant her to a wife and he went into her Jacob.
5 And she conceived Bilhah and she bore to Jacob a son.
Na ka hapu a Piriha, a ka whanau ta raua tama ko Hakopa.
6 And she said Rachel he has vindicated me God and also he has listened to voice my and he has given to me a son there-fore she called name his Dan.
Na ka mea a Rahera, Kua whakarite te Atua i taku whakawakanga, kua rongo ano ki toku reo, kua homai hoki e ia tetahi tama ki ahau: na reira i huaina ai e ia tona ingoa ko Rana.
7 And she conceived again and she bore Bilhah [the] maidservant of Rachel a son second to Jacob.
8 And she said Rachel wrestling of God - I have wrestled with sister my also I have prevailed and she called name his Naphtali.
Na ka mea a Rahera, Nui whakaharahara nga nonoketanga i nonoke ai maua ko toku tuakana, a taea ana ia e ahau: na huaina iho e ia tona ingoa ko Napatari.
9 And she saw Leah that she had stopped from bearing children and she took Zilpah maidservant her and she gave her to Jacob to a wife.
I te kitenga o Rea ka mutu ia te whanau ka tango ia i a Tiripa, i tana pononga wahine, a hoatu ana e ia ki a Hakopa hei wahine.
10 And she bore Zilpah [the] maidservant of Leah to Jacob a son.
Na ka whanau te tama a Hakopa raua ko Tiripa, pononga a Rea.
11 And she said Leah (it has come good fortune *Q(K)*) and she called name his Gad.
A ka mea a Rea, He waimarie!
12 And she bore Zilpah [the] maidservant of Leah a son second to Jacob.
13 And she said Leah in happiness my for they will call happy me daughters and she called name his Asher.
A ka mea a Rea, E hari ana ahau, ka kiia nei hoki ahau e nga tamahine he mea hari: a huaina ana e ia tona ingoa ko Ahera.
14 And he went Reuben in [the] days of [the] harvest of wheat and he found mandrakes in the field and he brought them to Leah mother his and she said Rachel to Leah give please to me some of [the] mandrakes of son your.
15 And she said to her ¿ small taking you husband my and to take also [the] mandrakes of son my and she said Rachel therefore he will lie with you this night for [the] mandrakes of son your.
Na ko te meatanga a tera ki a ia, He mea nohinohi ianei tau tangohanga i taku tahu? a me tango ano koe i nga manitareki a taku tama? A ka mea atu a Rahera, Na, me takoto ia ki a koe i tenei po hei utu mo nga manitareki a tau tama.
16 And he came Jacob from the field in the evening and she went out Leah to meet him and she said into me you will come for certainly I have hired you for [the] mandrakes of son my and he lay with her in the night that.
A i te ahiahi ka, haere mai a Hakopa i te mara, na ka puta atu a Rea ki te whakatau i a ia, ka mea, Me haere mai koe ki ahau; kua oti hoki koe te hoko e ahau ki nga manitareki a taku tama. Na ka takoto ia ki a ia i taua po.
17 And he listened God to Leah and she conceived and she bore to Jacob a son fifth.
18 And she said Leah he has given God reward my that I gave maidservant my to husband my and she called name his Issachar.
Na ka mea a Rea, Kua homai e te Atua toku utu, moku i hoatu i taku pononga ki taku tahu: a huaina ana e ia tona ingoa ko Ihakara.
19 And she conceived again Leah and she bore a son sixth to Jacob.
Na ka hapu ano a Rea, a ka whanau te tokoono o a raua tama ko Hakopa.
20 And she said Leah he has endowed me God - me an endowment good this time he will honor me husband my for I have borne to him six sons and she called name his Zebulun.
21 And after she bore a daughter and she called name her Dinah.
A muri iho ka whanau he kotiro, a huaina ana e ia tona ingoa ko Rina.
22 And he remembered God Rachel and he listened to her God and he opened womb her.
23 And she conceived and she bore a son and she said he has removed God reproach my.
Na ka hapu ia, a ka whanau he tama; a ka mea ia, Kua whakamutua e te Atua toku tawainga:
24 And she called name his Joseph saying may he add Yahweh to me a son another.
Na huaina ana e ia tona ingoa ko Hohepa: a ka mea, Ka tapiritia mai e Ihowa tetahi atu tama maku.
25 And it was just as she had borne Rachel Joseph and he said Jacob to Laban send off me so let me go to place my and to land my.
Na, ka whanau ra a Hohepa i a Rahera, ka mea a Hakopa ki a Rapana, Tukua ahau, kia haere ai ahau ki toku ake wahi, ki toku whenua.
26 Give! wives my and children my whom I have served you for them so I may go for you you know service my which I have served you.
Homai aku wahine me aku tamariki i mahi ai ahau ki a koe, a ka haere ahau: e mohio ana hoki koe ki taku mahi i mahi ai ahau ki a koe.
27 And he said to him Laban if please I have found favor in view your I have learned by divination and he has blessed me Yahweh on account of you.
Na ka mea a Rapana ki a ia, Ki te mea e manakohia ana anau e koe, e noho: kua kite hoki ahau nau i manaakitia ai ahau e Ihowa.
28 And he said designate! wage[s] your on me so let me give [it].
I mea ano ia, Whakaritea ki ahau te utu mou, a ka hoatu e ahau.
29 And he said to him you you know how I have served you and how it has been livestock your with me.
A ka mea ia ki a ia, E mohio ana koe ki taku mahinga ki a koe, ki au kararehe hoki i ahau, to ratou peheatanga.
30 For a little which it be[longed] to you before me and it has increased to abundance and he has blessed Yahweh you to foot my and now when? will I work also I for own household my.
I mua atu hoki i ahau he iti au mea, na kua nui noa atu tenei; a kua manaakitia koe e Ihowa ahakoa tahuri ahau ki hea, ki hea: na inaianei ahea ranei ahau mea ai hoki i tetahi mea mo toku ake whare?
31 And he said what? will I give to you and he said Jacob not you will give to me anything if you will do for me the thing this I will return I will tend flock your I will protect [it].
A ka mea tera, Ko te aha taku e hoatu ai ki a koe? A ka mea a Hakopa, Kaua e homai tetahi mea ki ahau: ki te meatia mai e koe tenei mea aku, ka whangai ano ahau, ka tiaki i au hipi.
32 Let me pass in all flock your this day I will remove from there every sheep - speckled and spotted and every sheep dark among the lambs and [the] spotted and [the] speckled among the goats and it will be wage[s] my.
33 And it will testify for me righteousness my on a day in future time for you will come on wage[s] my before you all that not [is] it speckled and spotted among the goats and dark among the lambs [is] stolen it with me.
Penei ka whakatikaia ahau e toku tika apopo ake nei, ina tae atu ki tou aroaro ki te utu moku: ko nga mea i roto i nga koati kahore nei he tongitongi, kahore he purepure, me nga mea kahore e pakaka i roto i nga hipi, he mea tahae tena naku.
34 And he said Laban there! if let it be according to word your.
Na ka mea a Rapana, Ae, pai tonu kia pena me tau i ki mai na.
35 And he removed on the day that the male goats striped and spotted and all the female goats speckled and spotted all that white [was] on it and every dark [one] among the lambs and he gave [them] in [the] hand of sons his.
Na ka wehea e ia i taua rangi nga koati toa, nga mea whakahekeheke, me nga mea purepure, me nga koati uha e whai tongitongi ana, me nga mea purepure, nga mea he ma tetahi wahi, me nga mea pakaka o nga hipi, a hoatu ana ki nga ringa o ana tama;
36 And he put a journey of three days between himself and between Jacob and Jacob [was] pasturing [the] flock of Laban which remained.
Na ka whakatakiwatia e ia he takiwa i waenganui i a ia, i a Hakopa, kia toru nga ra e haerea ai; a ka whangai a Hakopa i nga hipi a Rapana i mahue iho.
37 And he took for himself Jacob branch[es] of poplar freshly cut and almond and plane tree and he stripped on them strips white [the] peeling of the white [wood] which [was] on the branches.
Katahi ka tikina e Hakopa etahi rakau mana, he papara mata, he aramona, he pereni; a tihorea ana e ia etahi tihorenga ma i aua mea, a ka meinga kia ata kitea te wahi ma o nga rakau.
38 And he placed the branches which he had stripped in the drinking troughs in [the] watering channels of water which they came the flock to drink to before the flock and they mated when came they to drink.
39 And they mated the flock to the branches and they bore the flock striped [ones] speckled [ones] and spotted [ones].
Na ka whakahaputia nga kahui ki mau i nga rakau, a he whakahekeheke, he mea tongitongi, he purepure nga kuao i whanau.
40 And the lambs he separated Jacob and he set [the] faces of the flock to [the] striped and every dark [one] among [the] flock of Laban and he made for himself flocks to only him and not he put them with [the] flock of Laban.
41 And it was in all [the] being in heat of the sheep vigorous [female] and he put out Jacob the branches to [the] eyes of the sheep in the drinking troughs to mate her at the branches.
Na, i nga wa katoa e whakahaputia ai nga mea kaha o te kahui ka whakaturia e Hakopa nga rakau ki te tirohanga a te kahui, ki roto ki nga hake, kia whakahaputia ai ratou ki waenga i nga rakau;
42 And when was feeble the sheep not he put [them] out and it was the enfeebled ones [belonged] to Laban and the vigorous [ones] [belonged] to Jacob.
A ki te mea he ngoikore te kahui, kihai i whakaturia e ia: na i a Rapana nga mea ngoikore, a i a Hakopa nga mea kaha.
43 And he increased the man very very and it be[longed] to him sheep many and female servants and [male] servants and camels and donkeys.
