< Genesis 29 >
1 And he lifted up Jacob feet his and he went [the] land of towards [the] people of [the] east.

2 And he saw and there! a well [was] in the field and there! there three flocks of sheep [were] lying down at it for from the well that people watered the flocks and the stone [was] large over [the] mouth of the well.

3 And they were gathered there towards all the flocks and they rolled the stone from over [the] mouth of the well and they watered the sheep and they put back the stone over [the] mouth of the well to place its.
Te la tuping boeih a tingtun vaengah tuito rhai kah lungto te a paluet uh tih boiva te a tul uh. Te phoeiah lungto te tuito kah a rhai ah amah hmuen la a khueh uh.
4 And he said to them Jacob O brothers my from where? [are] you and they said [are] from Haran we.
Te dongah Jakob loh amih te, “Ka manuca rhoek nangmih he me lamkah rhoek lae,” a ti nah hatah, “Kaimih he Haran lamkah ni,” a ti uh.
5 And he said to them ¿ do you know Laban [the] son of Nahor and they said we know [him].
Te phoeiah amih te, “Nakhaw capa Laban te na ming uh a?” a ti nah hatah, “Ka ming uh ta,” a ti uh.
6 And he said to them ¿ [does] health [belong] to him and they said health and there! Rachel daughter his [is] coming with the sheep.
Te dongah Jakob loh amih taengah, “Anih te a sading ngawn a?” a ti nah hatah, “A sading tih a canu Rakhel khaw boiva neh halo ke,” a ti na uh.
7 And he said here! still the day [is] great not [the] time of [the] being gathered of the livestock water the sheep and go pasture [them].
Te vaengah, “Kho muep om pueng ta he, boiva a tingtun tue moenih. Boiva te tui tul, te phoeiah hlah lamtah luem sak,” a ti nah.
8 And they said not we are able until that they will be gathered all the flocks and people will roll the stone from over [the] mouth of the well and we will water the sheep.
Tedae amih loh, “Tuping rhoek boeih tingtun tih tuito rhai lamkah lungto te ka paluet uh daengah ni boiva khaw tui ka tul uh. Ka paluet thai uh pawt atah ka tul uh thai pawh,” a ti uh.
9 Still [was] he speaking with them and Rachel - she came with the sheep which [belonged] to father her for [was] a shepherdess she.
Amih te a voek li vaengah Rakhel loh a napa kah tu dawn ham tu neh ha puei uh.
10 And it was just as he saw Jacob Rachel [the] daughter of Laban [the] brother of mother his and [the] sheep of Laban [the] brother of mother his and he drew near Jacob and he rolled the stone from over [the] mouth of the well and he watered [the] sheep of Laban [the] brother of mother his.

11 And he kissed Jacob Rachel and he lifted up voice his and he wept.
Te phoeiah Jakob loh Rakhel te a mok dae a ol a huel tih rhap.
12 And he told Jacob to Rachel that [was] [the] relative of father her he and that [was] [the] son of Rebekah he and she ran and she told to father her.
Tedae Jakob loh Rakhel taengah amah te a napa kah huiko neh Rebekah capa ni tila a puen dongah Rakhel te yong tih a napa taengah puen.
13 And it was when heard Laban [the] report of - Jacob [the] son of sister his and he ran to meet him and he embraced him and he kissed him and he brought him to house his and he recounted to Laban all the things these.
Laban long khaw a ngannu capa Jakob kah olthang te a yaak van neh anih doe ham yong tih a kop phoeiah a mok tih amah im la a khuen vaengah hekah olka boeih te Laban taengah a tae pah.
14 And he said to him Laban surely [are] bone my and flesh my you and he remained with him a month of days.
Te dongah Laban loh Jakob taengah, “Nang tah kamah rhuh neh saa pai ni,” a ti nah. Tedae anih taengah a khohnin hla la puet kho a sak.
15 And he said Laban to Jacob ¿ for relative my [are] you and you will serve me for nothing tell! to me what? [is] wage[s] your.
Te vaengah Laban loh Jakob taengah, “Nang he kamah huiko la na om dongah a hoeihae lam a kai taengah na thohtat eh? Kai taengah na thapang te thui,” a ti nah.
16 And [belonged] to Laban two daughters [the] name of the old [one] [was] Leah and [the] name of the young [one] [was] Rachel.
Te vaengkah Laban canu rhoi tah, a ham ming te Leah tih, a noe ming te Rakhel la om.
17 And [the] eyes of Leah [were] weak and Rachel she was beautiful of form and beautiful of appearance.

18 And he loved Jacob Rachel and he said I will serve you seven years for Rachel daughter your young.
Tedae Jakob loh Rakhel te a lungnah dongah, “Na canu a noe Rakhel ham nang taengah kum rhih ka tho ka tat ni,” a ti nah.
19 And he said Laban ([is] good *LB(ah)*) to give I her to you more than to give I her to a man another remain! with me.
Te dongah Laban loh, “Hlang tloe te ka paek lakah nang taengah anih kan paek te then ngai tih kamah taengah khosa mai,” a ti nah.
20 And he served Jacob for Rachel seven years and they were in view his like days one in love his her.
Te vaengah Jakob loh Rakhel ham kum rhih thotat dae anih te a lungnah dongah a mik ah hnin at bangla om.
21 And he said Jacob to Laban give! wife my for they have been completed days my so I may go into her.
Te phoeiah Jakob loh Laban te, “Ka khohnin khaw cup coeng tih ka yuu te m'pae lamtah anih taengah ka yalh pawn ni,” a ti nah.
22 And he gathered Laban all [the] people of the place and he prepared a feast.
Te dongah Laban loh te hmuen kah hlang boeih te a coi tih buhkoknah a saii.
23 And it was in the evening and he took Leah daughter his and he brought her to him and he went into her.
Tedae hlaem a pha vaengah tah a canu Leah te a khuen tih a paek dongah anih taengah Jakob yalh.
24 And he had given Laban to her Zilpah maidservant his to Leah daughter his a maidservant.
Te phoeiah Laban loh a canu Leah taengah amah kah taengom Zilpah te taengom la a paek.
25 And it was in the morning and there! she [was] Leah and he said to Laban what? this have you done to me ¿ not for Rachel have I served with you and why? have you deceived me.
Tedae mincang ah tah Leah te tarha a om pah. Te dongah Laban te, “Kai taengah balae na saii he? Rakhel ham nang taengah ka thoh ka tat moenih a? Tedae balae tih kai nan phok,” a ti nah.
26 And he said Laban not it is done thus in place our to give the young before the firstborn.
Te vaengah Laban loh, “Kaimih kho ah caming hlanah a noe a paek ham te a saii noek moenih.
27 Complete [the] week of this [one] so let us give to you also this [one] for [the] service which you will serve with me again seven years another.
Tahae yalh he a boeih phoeiah kai ham kum rhih koep na thohtat atah tekah thohtatnah yuengla anih te nang taengah kan paek bal ni,” a ti nah.
28 And he did Jacob thus and he completed [the] week of this [one] and he gave to him Rachel daughter his of him to a wife.
Te dongah Jakob loh a saii van tih tekah yalh a boeih phoeiah a canu Rakhel te anih yuu la amah taengah a paek.
29 And he had given Laban to Rachel daughter his Bilhah maidservant his to her to [be] a maidservant.
Te phoeiah Laban loh a canu Rakhel taengah amah kah taengom Bilhah te taengom la a paek.
30 And he went also into Rachel and he loved also Rachel more than Leah and he served with him again seven years another.
Te vaengah Rakhel taengah a yalh bal hatah Rakhel te Leah lakah a lungnah ngai dongah anih ham kum rhih koep thotat.
31 And he saw Yahweh that [was] hated Leah and he opened womb her and Rachel [was] barren.
Leah a hnoel te BOEIPA loh a hmuh dongah a bung tah a ong. Tedae Rakhel te a yaa sak.
32 And she conceived Leah and she bore a son and she called name his Reuben for she said that he has looked Yahweh on affliction my for now he will love me husband my.
Te dongah Leah te pumrhih tih capa a cun hatah, “BOEIPA loh kai kah phacipphabaem te a hmuh tih ka va loh kai n'lungnah taktak pawn ni,” a ti. Te dongah a ming te Reuben a sui.
33 And she conceived again and she bore a son and she said that he has heard Yahweh that [am] hated I and he has given to me also this [one] and she called name his Simeon.
Te phoeiah koep pumrhih tih capa a cun hatah, “Kai n'hnoel te BOEIPA loh a yaak dongah he khaw kai m'paek,” a ti. Te dongah anih ming te Simeon a sui.
34 And she conceived again and she bore a son and she said now this time he will join himself husband my to me for I have borne to him three sons there-fore he called name his Levi.
Te phoeiah koep pumrhih tih capa a cun hatah, “Anih ham capa voei thum ka cun pah dongah ka va loh kai taengah naep pawn ni,” a ti. Te dongah anih ming te Levi a sui.
35 And she conceived again and she bore a son and she said this time I will praise Yahweh there-fore she called name his Judah and she stopped from bearing children.
Te phoeiah koep pumrhih tih capa a cun hatah, “BOEIPA te voei vai khaw ka uem eh,” a ti. Te dongah anih ming te Judah a sui. Te phoeiah a ca cun te duem.
