< Genesis 29 >
1 And he lifted up Jacob feet his and he went [the] land of towards [the] people of [the] east.

2 And he saw and there! a well [was] in the field and there! there three flocks of sheep [were] lying down at it for from the well that people watered the flocks and the stone [was] large over [the] mouth of the well.
Anih mah khet naah, lawk thungah tuikhaw maeto a hnuk; tuunawk loe to ih tuikhaw taengah ahmuen thumto ah tabok o; to ih tuikhaw thung ih tui to tuunawk han naek o sak; to ah tuikhaw kraenghaih kalen parai thlung kangphaek maeto oh.
3 And they were gathered there towards all the flocks and they rolled the stone from over [the] mouth of the well and they watered the sheep and they put back the stone over [the] mouth of the well to place its.
Tuutoep kaminawk to ah oh o naah, tuikhaw kraenghaih kalen parai thlung kangphaek to takhoe o moe, tuunawk to tui naek o sak; to pacoengah tuikhaw to thlung hoiah kraeng o let.
4 And he said to them Jacob O brothers my from where? [are] you and they said [are] from Haran we.
Jakob mah tuutoep kaminawk khaeah, Nawkamyanawk naa hoiah maw nang zoh o? tiah lok a dueng. Nihcae mah, Haran hoiah kang zoh o, tiah pathim pae o.
5 And he said to them ¿ do you know Laban [the] son of Nahor and they said we know [him].
Nihcae khaeah, Nahor ih capa Laban to na panoek o maw? tiah a naa. Nihcae mah, Ka panoek o bae, tiah a naa o.
6 And he said to them ¿ [does] health [belong] to him and they said health and there! Rachel daughter his [is] coming with the sheep.
To pacoengah Jakob mah nihcae khaeah, Anih loe ngantui hmang maw? tiah a naa. Nihcae mah, Ngan a tui bae; khenah, a canu Rachel loe tuunawk hoi nawnto angzoh, tiah a naa o.
7 And he said here! still the day [is] great not [the] time of [the] being gathered of the livestock water the sheep and go pasture [them].
Anih mah, Khenah, niduem ai vop; tuunawk huih han atue pha ai vop; tuunawk to tui nae o sak ah loe, rawkcak pacah o rae khae, tiah a naa.
8 And they said not we are able until that they will be gathered all the flocks and people will roll the stone from over [the] mouth of the well and we will water the sheep.

9 Still [was] he speaking with them and Rachel - she came with the sheep which [belonged] to father her for [was] a shepherdess she.
Nihcae hoi lok apaeh li naah, Rachel loe ampa ih tuunawk to huih moe, angzoh; anih loe tuutoep kami ah oh.
10 And it was just as he saw Jacob Rachel [the] daughter of Laban [the] brother of mother his and [the] sheep of Laban [the] brother of mother his and he drew near Jacob and he rolled the stone from over [the] mouth of the well and he watered [the] sheep of Laban [the] brother of mother his.
Jakob mah amno ih tangqoi Laban canu Rachel hoi amno ih thangqoi Laban ih tuunawk to hnuk naah, caeh moe, tuikhaw kraenghaih kalen parai thlung kangphaek to takhoe pae, amno ih thangqoi Laban ih tuunawk to tui a naeksak.
11 And he kissed Jacob Rachel and he lifted up voice his and he wept.
Jakob mah Rachel to mok moe, tha hoi qah.
12 And he told Jacob to Rachel that [was] [the] relative of father her he and that [was] [the] son of Rebekah he and she ran and she told to father her.
Jakob mah Rachel khaeah anih loe ampa ih nawkamya ah oh moe, Rebekah ih capa ah ohhaih kawng to a thuih pae; to pongah Rachel loe cawnh moe, ampa khaeah thuih pae.
13 And it was when heard Laban [the] report of - Jacob [the] son of sister his and he ran to meet him and he embraced him and he kissed him and he brought him to house his and he recounted to Laban all the things these.

14 And he said to him Laban surely [are] bone my and flesh my you and he remained with him a month of days.

15 And he said Laban to Jacob ¿ for relative my [are] you and you will serve me for nothing tell! to me what? [is] wage[s] your.
Laban mah Jakob khaeah, Kai ih nawkamya ah na oh pongah, kai han tih tok doeh nang sah pae mak ai maw? Na toksakhaih atho to na thui ah, tiah a naa.
16 And [belonged] to Laban two daughters [the] name of the old [one] [was] Leah and [the] name of the young [one] [was] Rachel.
Laban loe canu hnetto tawnh; canu kacoeh ahmin loe Leah, canu kanawk ih ahmin loe Rachel.
17 And [the] eyes of Leah [were] weak and Rachel she was beautiful of form and beautiful of appearance.
Leah loe mik hoih parai ai; toe Rachel loe kranghoih moe, palung han koiah oh.
18 And he loved Jacob Rachel and he said I will serve you seven years for Rachel daughter your young.
Jakob loe Rachel to koeh moe, Nang han saning sarihto thung tok kang sak pae han, na canu kanawk Rachel to na paek ah, tiah a naa.
19 And he said Laban ([is] good *LB(ah)*) to give I her to you more than to give I her to a man another remain! with me.
Laban mah anih to minawk kalah han ka paek pongah loe, nang han kang paek to hoih kue, tiah a naa. Kai khaeah mah om poe ah, tiah a naa.
20 And he served Jacob for Rachel seven years and they were in view his like days one in love his her.

21 And he said Jacob to Laban give! wife my for they have been completed days my so I may go into her.

22 And he gathered Laban all [the] people of the place and he prepared a feast.

23 And it was in the evening and he took Leah daughter his and he brought her to him and he went into her.
Toe niduem naah loe a canu Leah to zaeh moe, Jakob khaeah a caeh haih; anih to Jakob mah iih haih.
24 And he had given Laban to her Zilpah maidservant his to Leah daughter his a maidservant.
Laban mah a tamna Zilpah to a canu Leah khenzawnkung ah paek.
25 And it was in the morning and there! she [was] Leah and he said to Laban what? this have you done to me ¿ not for Rachel have I served with you and why? have you deceived me.
Khenah, khawnbang khawnthaw ah loe, Leah ah oh pae ving; to pongah Jakob mah Laban khaeah, Tipongah hae tiah nang sak loe? Rachel han ah ni tok kang sak pae; tipongah kai nang ling loe? tiah a naa.
26 And he said Laban not it is done thus in place our to give the young before the firstborn.
Laban mah, Kaicae prae ah loe, Canu kacoeh sava sah ai naah, kanawk sava sah sai ai.
27 Complete [the] week of this [one] so let us give to you also this [one] for [the] service which you will serve with me again seven years another.
Zu lakhaih ni sarihto boeng rae nasoe; to pacoengah saning sarihto toksah let ah, to naah canu kanawk doeh kang paek han, tiah a naa.
28 And he did Jacob thus and he completed [the] week of this [one] and he gave to him Rachel daughter his of him to a wife.
Jakob loe to tiah toksak hanah oh let; Leah hoi ni sarihto thung oh hoi pacoengah, Laban mah a canu Rachel to zu ah paek.
29 And he had given Laban to Rachel daughter his Bilhah maidservant his to her to [be] a maidservant.
Laban mah a tamna nongpata Billah to, a canu Rachel khenzawnkung tamna ah paek.
30 And he went also into Rachel and he loved also Rachel more than Leah and he served with him again seven years another.
Jakob mah Rachel to iih haih; anih mah Leah pongah Rachel to palung kue; to pacoengah Laban hanah saning sarihto thung toksak pae let.
31 And he saw Yahweh that [was] hated Leah and he opened womb her and Rachel [was] barren.
Jakob mah Leah hnukma, tito Angraeng mah hnuk naah, anih ih caa im to paongh pae, toe Rachel loe caa kaak.
32 And she conceived Leah and she bore a son and she called name his Reuben for she said that he has looked Yahweh on affliction my for now he will love me husband my.
Leah loe zokpomh moe, capa maeto sak; kai patangkhanghaih Angraeng mah hnuk boeh, vaihi loe ka sava mah na palung tih boeh, tiah a poek pongah, a capa to Reuben, tiah ahmin phui.
33 And she conceived again and she bore a son and she said that he has heard Yahweh that [am] hated I and he has given to me also this [one] and she called name his Simeon.
Anih loe zokpomh let moe, capa maeto sak; kai hnukmahaih to Angraeng mah ang panoek pae pongah, hae capa doeh ang paek let, tiah a thuih; to pongah Simeon, tiah ahmin sak.
34 And she conceived again and she bore a son and she said now this time he will join himself husband my to me for I have borne to him three sons there-fore he called name his Levi.
Anih loe zokpomh let moe, capa maeto sak; ka sava hanah capa thumto ka sak pae boeh pongah, anih loe kai khaeah ni akap tih boeh, tiah a thuih. To pongah Levi, tiah ahmin sak.
35 And she conceived again and she bore a son and she said this time I will praise Yahweh there-fore she called name his Judah and she stopped from bearing children.
Anih loe zokpomh let moe, capa maeto sak, to naah vaihi loe Angraeng to ka pakoeh han boeh, tiah a thuih; to pongah Judah, tiah ahmin sak. To pacoeng loe anih caa sah ai boeh.
