Genesis 26
1 And it was a famine in the land besides the famine former which it was in [the] days of Abraham and he went Isaac to Abimelech [the] king of [the] Philistines Gerar towards.
Og der var Hunger i Landet, foruden den forrige Hunger, som var i Abrahams Tid, og Isak drog til Abimelek, Filisternes Konge i Gerar.
2 And he appeared to him Yahweh and he said may not you go down Egypt towards dwell in the land which I will say to you.
Da aabenbaredes Herren for ham og sagde: Drag ikke ned til Ægypten, bo i det Land, hvilket jeg siger dig.
3 Sojourn in the land this so I may be with you and I will bless you for to you and to offspring your I will give all the lands these and I will establish the oath which I swore to Abraham father your.
Vær en Udlænding i dette Land, og jeg vil være med dig og velsigne dig; thi dig og din Sæd vil jeg give alle disse Lande og stadfæste den Ed, som jeg har svoret Abraham, din Fader.
4 And I will multiply offspring your like [the] stars of the heavens and I will give to offspring your all the lands these and they will bless themselves by offspring your all [the] nations of the earth.
Og jeg vil gøre din Sæd mangfoldig som Stjernerne paa Himmelen og give din Sæd alle disse Lande, og i din Sæd skulle alle Folk paa Jorden velsignes,
5 Consequence that he listened Abraham to voice my and he kept duty my commandments my statutes my and laws my.
fordi Abraham lød min Røst og bevarede det, jeg vil have bevaret, mine Bud, mine Skikke og mine Love.
6 And he dwelt Isaac in Gerar.
Saa boede Isak i Gerar.
7 And they asked [the] men of the place of wife his and he said [is] sister my she for he was afraid to say wife my lest they should kill me [the] men of the place on Rebekah for [was] good of appearance she.
Og de Mænd paa samme Sted spurgte om hans Hustru; da sagde han: Hun er min Søster; thi han frygtede at sige: Hun er min Hustru, idet han tænkte, at ikke Mændene paa dette Sted maaske skulle slaa mig ihjel for Rebekkas Skyld, thi hun var dejlig af Anseelse.
8 And it was that they had become long to him there the days and he looked down Abimelech [the] king of [the] Philistines through the window and he saw and there! Isaac [was] playing with Rebekah wife his.

9 And he summoned Abimelech Isaac and he said surely here! [is] wife your she and how? did you say [is] sister my she and he said to him Isaac for I thought lest I should die on her.
Da kaldte Abimelek ad Isak og sagde: Visselig, se, hun er din Hustru, og hvorledes har du sagt: hun er min Søster? Og Isak sagde til ham: Thi jeg tænkte: Maaske jeg maatte slaas ihjel for hendes Skyld.
10 And he said Abimelech what? this have you done to us like a little he lay with one of the people wife your and you will bring on us guilt.
Da sagde Abimelek: Hvi har du gjort os dette? En af Folket kunde snart have ligget hos din Hustru, saa havde du ført Skyld over os.
11 And he commanded Abimelech all the people saying who [-ever] touches the man this and wife his certainly he will be put to death.
Saa bød Abimelek alt Folket og sagde: Hvo, som rører ved denne Mand og ved hans Hustru, skal visselig dødes.
12 And he sowed Isaac in the land that and he found in the year that one hundred measures and he blessed him Yahweh.
Og Isak saaede der i Landet og fik samme Aar hundrede Fold, og Herren velsignede ham.
13 And he became great the man and he went continuously and becoming great until for he became great exceedingly.
Og Manden blev mægtig og gik frem og blev mægtig, indtil han blev saare mægtig.
14 And it be[longed] to him livestock of flock and livestock of herd and service much and they envied him [the] Philistines.
Og han ejede Faar og ejede Kvæg og mange Tyende; derfor bare Filisterne Avind mod ham.
15 And all the wells which they had dug [the] servants of father his in [the] days of Abraham father his they stopped up them [the] Philistines and they filled them earth.
Og alle Brøndene, som hans Faders Tjenere havde gravet i Abrahams, hans Faders Tid, dem tilstoppede Filisterne og fyldte dem med Jord.
16 And he said Abimelech to Isaac go from with us for you have become [too] powerful for us much.
Og Abimelek sagde til Isak: Drag fra os; thi du er bleven os alt for mægtig.
17 And he went from there Isaac and he encamped in [the] wadi of Gerar and he dwelt there.
Saa drog Isak derfra og slog Telt i Dalen Gerar og boede der.
18 And he returned Isaac and he dug - [the] wells of water which people had dug in [the] days of Abraham father his and they had stopped up them [the] Philistines after [the] death of Abraham and he called them names like the names which he had called them father his.
Og Isak lod igen de Vandbrønde opgrave, som de havde gravet i Abrahams, hans Faders Tid, og som Filisterne havde tilstoppet efter Abrahams Død, og han gav dem Navne efter de Navne, som hans Fader havde kaldet dem.
19 And they dug [the] servants of Isaac in the wadi and they found there a well of water living.

20 And they disputed [the] herdsmen of Gerar with [the] herdsmen of Isaac saying [belongs] to us the water and he called [the] name of the well Esek for they quarreled with him.
Men Hyrderne af Gerar kivedes med Isaks Hyrder og sagde: Vandet hører os til; saa kaldte han den Brønds Navn Esek, thi de kivedes med ham.
21 And they dug a well another and they disputed also on it and he called name its Sitnah.
Saa grove de en anden Brønd, og de kivedes og om den; derfor kaldte de dens Navn Sitna.
22 And he moved on from there and he dug a well another and not they disputed on it and he called name its Rehoboth and he said that now he has made space Yahweh for us and we will be fruitful in the land.
Da flyttede han derfra og grov en anden Brønd, og de kivedes ikke om den, og han kaldte dens Navn Rekoboth og sagde: thi nu har Herren gjort Rum for os, og vi ere voksede i Landet.
23 And he went up from there Beer Sheba.
Og han drog op derfra til Beersaba.
24 And he appeared to him Yahweh in the night that and he said I [am] [the] God of Abraham father your may not you be afraid for [am] with you I and I will bless you and I will multiply offspring your for sake of Abraham servant my.
Og Herren aabenbaredes for ham i den samme Nat og sagde: Jeg er din Fader Abrahams Gud; frygt ikke, thi jeg er med dig og vil velsigne dig og formere din Sæd for min Tjener Abrahams Skyld.
25 And he built there an altar and he called on [the] name of Yahweh and he pitched there tent his and they dug there [the] servants of Isaac a well.
Saa byggede han der et Alter og paakaldte Herrens Navn og opslog der sit Telt, og Isaks Tjenere grove der en Brønd.
26 And Abimelech he came to him from Gerar and Ahuzzah close friend his and Phicol [the] commander of army his.
Og Abimelek drog til ham fra Gerar med Akusat sin Ven og Pikol sin Stridshøvedsmand.
27 And he said to them Isaac why? have you come to me and you you hate me and you sent away me from with you.
Da sagde Isak til dem: Hvi komme I til mig, da I dog have hadet mig og drevet mig fra Eder?
28 And they said certainly we have seen that he has been Yahweh - with you and we said let it be please an oath between us between us and between you and let us make a covenant with you.
Og de svarede: Vi se klarligen, at Herren er med dig; derfor sagde vi: Kære, lad være en Ed imellem os, imellem os og dig, og vi ville gøre et Forbund med dig,
29 If you will do with us harm just as not we have touched you and just as we have done with you only good and we sent away you in peace you now [are] blessed of Yahweh.
at du ikke skal gøre ondt imod os, ligesom vi ikke have rørt dig, og ligesom vi ikke have gjort dig andet end godt, og vi lode dig fare i Fred; du er nu Herrens velsignede.
30 And he prepared for them a feast and they ate and they drank.
Saa gjorde han dem et Gæstebud, og de aade og drak.
31 And they rose early in the morning and they swore an oath each to brother his and he sent off them Isaac and they went from with him in peace.
Og de stode tidlig op om Morgenen og tilsvore hinanden gensidig, og Isak ledsagede dem, og de droge fra ham i Fred.
32 And it was - on the day that and they came [the] servants of Isaac and they told to him on [the] causes of the well which they had dug and they said to him we have found water.
Og det skete, paa den samme Dag kom Isaks Tjenere og forkyndte ham angaaende den Brønd, som de havde gravet, og de sagde til ham: Vi have fundet Vand.
33 And he called it Shibah there-fore [the] name of the city [is] Beer Sheba until the day this.
Og han kaldte den Skibea, deraf er Stadens Navn Beersaba indtil denne Dag.
34 And he was Esau a son of forty year[s] and he took a wife Judith [the] daughter of Beeri the Hittite and Basemath [the] daughter of Elon the Hittite.
Og Esau var fyrretyve Aar gammel og tog en Hustru, Judith, Beeriden Hethiters Datter, og Basmat, Elon den Hethiters Datter.
35 And they were bitterness of spirit to Isaac and to Rebekah.
Og de vare Aands Bitterhed for Isak og Rebekka.
