Genesis 23
1 And they were [the] life of Sarah one hundred year[s] and twenty year[s] and seven years [the] years of [the] life of Sarah.
Şi Sara era în vârstă de o sută douăzeci şi şapte de ani, aceştia au fost anii vieţii lui Sara.
2 And she died Sarah at Kiriath Arba that [is] Hebron in [the] land of Canaan and he went Abraham to mourn for Sarah and to weep for her.
Şi Sara a murit în Chiriatarba, adică Hebron, în ţara lui Canaan; şi Avraam a venit să jelească pe Sara şi să o plângă.
3 And he arose Abraham from on [the] face of dead his and he spoke to [the] people of Heth saying.
Şi Avraam a stat în picioare înaintea moartei sale şi a vorbit fiilor lui Het, spunând:
4 [am] a sojourner And a resident alien I with you give to me a possession of a burial site with you so let me bury dead my from to before me.
Eu sunt străin şi locuitor temporar cu voi, daţi-mi în stăpânire un loc de îngropare între voi, ca să înmormântez moarta mea dinaintea feţei mele.
5 And they answered [the] people of Heth Abraham saying to him.
Şi copiii lui Het au răspuns lui Avraam, spunându-i:
6 Listen to us - O lord my [are] a prince of God you in midst of us in [the] choicest of burial sites our bury dead your anyone of us burial site his not he will withhold from you from burying dead your.
Ascultă-ne, domnul meu: tu eşti un prinţ puternic printre noi; îngroapă-ţi moarta în cel mai ales dintre mormintele noastre; niciunul din noi nu va opri de la tine mormântul său, să îţi îngropi moarta.
7 And he arose Abraham and he bowed down to [the] people of the land to [the] people of Heth.
Şi Avraam s-a ridicat şi s-a aplecat până la pământ înaintea poporului ţării, înaintea copiilor lui Het.
8 And he spoke with them saying if there with desire your to bury dead my from to before me listen to me and entreat for me Ephron [the] son of Zohar.
Şi a vorbit îndeaproape cu ei, spunând: Dacă aceasta este dorinţa voastră, să înmormântez moarta mea dinaintea feţei mele, ascultaţi-mă şi rugaţi pentru mine pe Efron, fiul lui Ţohar,
9 So may he give to me [the] cave of Machpelah which [belongs] to him which [is] at [the] end of field his for silver full let him give it to me in midst of you to a possession of a burial site.
Ca să îmi dea peştera din Macpela, pe care o are, care este la capătul câmpului său; pentru atâţia bani cât merită aceasta, să mi-o dea în stăpânire ca loc de îngropare printre voi.
10 And Ephron [was] sitting in among [the] people of Heth and he answered Ephron the Hethite Abraham in [the] ears of [the] people of Heth to all [those who were] entering [the] gate of city his saying.
Şi Efron locuia printre copiii lui Het; şi Efron hititul a răspuns lui Avraam în auzul copiilor lui Het, al tuturor celor ce intrau la poarta cetăţii sale, spunând:
11 No O lord my listen to me the field I give to you and the cave which [is] in it to you I give it to [the] eyes of [the] sons of people my I give it to you bury dead your.
Nu, domnul meu, ascultă-mă, câmpul ţi-l dau şi peştera care este în el, pe aceasta ţi-o dau; înaintea ochilor fiilor poporului meu ţi-o dau, înmormântează-ţi moarta.
12 And he bowed down Abraham before [the] people of the land.
Şi Avraam s-a aplecat până la pământ înaintea poporului ţării.
13 And he spoke to Ephron in [the] ears of [the] people of the land saying nevertheless if you if listen to me I give [the] money of the field take [it] from me so let me bury dead my there.
Şi i-a vorbit lui Efron în auzul poporului ţării, spunând: Dar dacă mi-l vei da, te rog ascultă-mă, îţi voi da bani pentru câmp; ia-i de la mine şi îmi voi înmormânta moarta acolo.
14 And he answered Ephron Abraham saying to him.
Şi Efron a răspuns lui Avraam, spunându-i:
15 O lord my listen to me land of four hundred shekel[s] of silver between me and between you what? [is] it and dead your bury.
Domnul meu, dă-mi ascultare, pământul merită patru sute de şekeli de argint; ce este aceasta între mine şi tine? Înmormântează-ţi aşadar moarta.
16 And he listened Abraham to Ephron and he weighed out Abraham for Ephron the money which he had spoken in [the] ears of [the] people of Heth four hundred shekel[s] of silver passing along to the trader.
Şi Avraam a dat ascultare lui Efron; şi Avraam i-a cântărit lui Efron argintul, pe care l-a spus în auzul fiilor lui Het, patru sute de şekeli de argint, în moneda comerciantului.
17 And it was confirmed - [the] field of Ephron which [was] in Machpelah which [was] before Mamre the field and the cave which [was] in it and every tree which [was] in the field which [was] in all border its round about.
Şi câmpul lui Efron, care era în Macpela, care era în faţă cu Mamre, câmpul şi peştera care era în el şi toţi copacii care erau în câmp, care erau pe toate marginile de jur împrejur, au fost făcute sigure,
18 To Abraham to a possession to [the] eyes of [the] people of Heth for all [those who were] entering [the] gate of city his.
Lui Avraam ca stăpânire înaintea ochilor copiilor lui Het, înaintea tuturor celor ce intrau pe poarta cetăţii sale.
19 And after thus he buried Abraham Sarah wife his into [the] cave of [the] field of Machpelah on [the] face of Mamre that [is] Hebron in [the] land of Canaan.
Şi după aceasta, Avraam a îngropat pe Sara, soţia lui, în peştera din câmpia din Macpela, în faţă cu Mamre, acesta este Hebron, în ţara lui Canaan.
20 And it was confirmed the field and the cave which [was] in it to Abraham to a possession of a burial site from with [the] people of Heth.
Şi câmpul şi peştera care este în el, au fost făcute sigure lui Avraam ca stăpânire a unui loc de îngropare, de fiii lui Het.
