Genesis 22
1 And it was after the things these and God he put to [the] test Abraham and he said to him O Abraham and he said here [am] I.
En het geschiedde na deze dingen, dat God Abraham verzocht; en Hij zeide tot hem: Abraham! En hij zeide: Zie, hier ben ik!
2 And he said take please (son your *LA(bh)*) only [son] your whom you love Isaac and go for yourself to [the] land of Moriah and offer up him there to a burnt offering on one of the mountains which I will tell to you.
En Hij zeide: Neem nu uw zoon, uw enige, dien gij liefhebt, Izak, en ga heen naar het land Moria, en offer hem aldaar tot een brandoffer, op een van de bergen, dien Ik u zeggen zal.
3 And he rose early Abraham in the morning and he saddled donkey his and he took two of servants his with him and Isaac son his and he cut wood of burnt offering and he arose and he went to the place which he had said to him God.
Toen stond Abraham des morgens vroeg op, en zadelde zijn ezel, en nam twee van zijn jongeren met zich, en Izak zijn zoon; en hij kloofde hout tot het brandoffer, en maakte zich op, en ging naar de plaats, die God hem gezegd had.
4 On the day third and he lifted up Abraham eyes his and he saw the place from a distance.
Aan den derden dag, toen hief Abraham zijn ogen op, en zag die plaats van verre.
5 And he said Abraham to servants his remain for yourselves here with the donkey and I and the lad we will go to there so we may bow down and we will return to you.
En Abraham zeide tot zijn jongeren: Blijft gij hier met den ezel, en ik en de jongen zullen heengaan tot daar; als wij aangebeden zullen hebben, dan zullen wij tot u wederkeren.
6 And he took Abraham [the] wood of the burnt offering and he put [it] on Isaac son his and he took in hand his the fire and the knife and they went [the] two of them together.
En Abraham nam het hout des brandoffers, en legde het op Izak, zijn zoon; en hij nam het vuur en het mes in zijn hand, en zij beiden gingen samen.
7 And he said Isaac to Abraham father his and he said O father my and he said here [am] I O son my and he said here! the fire and the wood and where? [is] the sheep for a burnt offering.
Toen sprak Izak tot Abraham, zijn vader, en zeide: Mijn vader! En hij zeide: Zie, hier ben ik, mijn zoon! En hij zeide: Zie het vuur en het hout; maar waar is het lam tot het brandoffer?
8 And he said Abraham God he will see for himself the sheep for a burnt offering O son my and they went [the] two of them together.
En Abraham zeide: God zal Zichzelven een lam ten brandoffer voorzien, mijn zoon! Zo gingen zij beiden samen.
9 And they came to the place which he had said to him God and he built there Abraham the altar and he arranged the wood and he bound Isaac son his and he put him on the altar from above the wood.
En zij kwamen ter plaatse, die hem God gezegd had; en Abraham bouwde aldaar een altaar, en hij schikte het hout, en bond zijn zoon Izak, en legde hem op het altaar boven op het hout.
10 And he stretched out Abraham hand his and he took the knife to slaughter son his.
En Abraham strekte zijn hand uit, en nam het mes om zijn zoon te slachten.
11 And he called to him [the] angel of Yahweh from the heavens and he said O Abraham - Abraham and he said here [am] I.
Maar de Engel des HEEREN riep tot hem van den hemel en zeide: Abraham, Abraham! En hij zeide: Zie, hier ben ik!
12 And he said may not you stretch out hand your against the lad and may not you do to him anything for - now I know that [are one] fearing God you and not you have withheld son your only [son] your from me.
Toen zeide Hij: Strek uw hand niet uit aan den jongen, en doe hem niets! want nu weet Ik, dat gij God vrezende zijt, en uw zoon, uw enige, van Mij niet hebt onthouden.
13 And he lifted up Abraham eyes his and he saw and there! a ram behind it was caught in the thicket by horns its and he went Abraham and he took the ram and he offered up it to a burnt offering in place of son his.
Toen hief Abraham zijn ogen op, en zag om, en ziet, achter was een ram in de verwarde struiken vast met zijn hoornen; en Abraham ging, en nam dien ram, en offerde hem ten brandoffer in zijns zoons plaats.
14 And he called Abraham [the] name of the place that Yahweh - he will see that it is said this day on [the] mountain of Yahweh it will be seen.
En Abraham noemde den naam van die plaats: De HEERE zal het voorzien! Waarom heden ten dage gezegd wordt: Op den berg des HEEREN zal het voorzien worden!
15 And he called [the] angel of Yahweh to Abraham a second [time] from the heavens.
Toen riep de Engel des HEEREN tot Abraham ten tweeden male van den hemel;
16 And he said by myself I swear [the] utterance of Yahweh that because that you have done the thing this and not you have withheld son your only [son] your.
En zeide: Ik zweer bij Mijzelven, spreekt de HEERE; daarom dat gij deze zaak gedaan hebt, en uw zoon, uw enige, niet onthouden hebt;
17 For surely I will bless you and certainly I will increase offspring your like [the] stars of the heavens and like the sand which [is] on [the] shore of the sea so may take possession of offspring your [the] gate of enemies its.
Voorzeker zal Ik u grotelijks zegenen, en uw zaad zeer vermenigvuldigen, als de sterren des hemels, en als het zand, dat aan den oever der zee is; en uw zaad zal de poorten zijner vijanden erfelijk bezitten.
18 And they will bless themselves by offspring your all [the] nations of the earth consequence that you have listened to voice my.
En in uw zaad zullen gezegend worden alle volken der aarde, naardien gij Mijn stem gehoorzaam geweest zijt.
19 And he returned Abraham to servants his and they arose and they went together to Beer Sheba and he dwelt Abraham in Beer Sheba.
Toen keerde Abraham weder tot zijn jongeren, en zij maakten zich op, en zij gingen samen naar Ber-seba; en Abraham woonde te Ber-seba.
20 And it was after the things these and it was told to Abraham saying there! she has borne Milcah also she children to Nahor brother your.
En het geschiedde na deze dingen, dat men Abraham boodschapte, zeggende: Zie, Milka heeft ook Nahor, uw broeder, zonen gebaard:
21 Uz firstborn his and Buz brother his and Kemuel [the] father of Aram.
Uz, zijn eerstgeborene, en Buz, zijn broeder, en Kemuel, de vader van Aram,
22 And Kesed and Hazo and Pildash and Jidlaph and Bethuel.
En Chesed, en Hazo, en Pildas, en Jidlaf, en Bethuel;
23 And Bethuel he fathered Rebekah eight [sons] these she bore Milcah to Nahor [the] brother of Abraham.
(En Bethuel gewon Rebekka) deze acht baarde Milka aan Nahor, den broeder van Abraham.
24 And concubine his and name her [was] Reumah and she bore also she Tebah and Gaham and Tahash and Maacah.
En zijn bijwijf, welker naam was Reuma, diezelve baarde ook Tebah, en Gaham, en Tahas, en Maacha.
