Genesis 18
1 And he appeared to him Yahweh at [the] great trees of Mamre and he [was] sitting [the] opening of the tent when [the] heat of the day.
TUHAN menampakkan diri kepada Abraham dekat pohon-pohon keramat tempat ibadat di Mamre. Pada waktu itu hari sangat panas, dan Abraham sedang duduk di pintu kemahnya.
2 And he lifted up eyes his and he saw and there! three men [were] standing with him and he saw and he ran to meet them from [the] opening of the tent and he bowed down [the] ground towards.
Ketika ia mengangkat kepalanya, ia melihat tiga orang berdiri di depannya. Abraham segera berlari hendak menyambut mereka. Dengan bersujud
3 And he said Lord my if please I have found favor in view your may not please you pass by from with servant your.
ia berkata, "Tuan-tuan, janganlah melewati kemah saya tanpa singgah dahulu; perkenankanlah saya melayani Tuan-tuan.
4 Let it be brought please a little of water and wash feet your and support yourself under the tree.
Biarlah saya mengambil air untuk membasuh kaki Tuan-tuan. Silakan Tuan-tuan melepaskan lelah di bawah pohon ini.
5 So let me bring a piece of bread and sustain heart your (after *L(S)*) you will pass on for since you have passed by at servant your and they said thus you will do just as you have said.
Saya akan menghidangkan makanan sekedarnya, supaya Tuan-tuan mendapat kekuatan baru untuk meneruskan perjalanan. Tuan-tuan telah menghormati saya dengan singgah ke rumah hambamu ini." Jawab mereka, "Terima kasih atas kebaikanmu. Kami akan singgah."
6 And he hurried Abraham the tent towards to Sarah and he said bring quickly three seahs flour fine flour knead [it] and make bread cakes.
Lekas-lekas Abraham masuk ke dalam kemah dan berkata kepada Sara, "Cepatlah, ambil sekarung tepung yang paling baik, dan buatlah roti bundar."
7 And to the herd he ran Abraham and he took a young one of [the] herd tender and good and he gave [it] to the servant and he hurried to prepare it.
Kemudian ia lari ke tempat kawanan ternaknya, memilih anak sapi yang gemuk serta empuk dagingnya, lalu memberikannya kepada pelayannya, yang segera menyiapkannya.
8 And he brought curd and milk and [the] young one of the herd which he had prepared and he set [it] before them and he [was] standing with them under the tree and they ate.
Setelah itu Abraham mengambil susu, kepala susu, dan daging yang sudah dimasak itu, lalu menghidangkannya kepada tamu-tamunya. Sementara mereka makan, Abraham sendiri melayani mereka di bawah pohon itu.
9 And they said to him where? [is] Sarah wife your and he said there! in the tent.
Kemudian mereka bertanya, "Di mana Sara, istrimu?" "Di sana, di dalam kemah," jawab Abraham.
10 And he said certainly I will return to you about the time living and there! a son [will belong] to Sarah wife your and Sarah [was] listening [the] opening of the tent and it [was] behind him.
Seorang dari mereka berkata, "Sembilan bulan lagi Aku akan kembali. Dan pada waktu itu Sara istrimu akan mendapat anak laki-laki." Pada saat itu Sara sedang mendengarkan di pintu kemah, di belakang tamu itu.
11 And Abraham and Sarah [were] old [having] come in days it had ceased to be to Sarah a way like women.
Adapun Abraham dan Sara sudah sangat tua, dan Sara sudah mati haid.
12 And she laughed Sarah in inner being her saying after am worn out I has it be[longed]? to me pleasure and lord my he is old.
Sebab itu Sara tertawa dalam hatinya dan berkata, "Aku yang sudah tua dan layu begini, mana mungkin masih ingin campur dengan suamiku? --Lagipula suamiku sudah tua juga."
13 And he said Yahweh to Abraham why? this did she laugh Sarah saying ¿ also really will I bear a child and I I am old.
Lalu TUHAN bertanya kepada Abraham, "Mengapa Sara tertawa dan meragukan apakah ia masih bisa melahirkan anak pada masa tuanya?
14 ¿ Is it [too] difficult for Yahweh anything to the appointed time I will return to you about the time living and [will belong] to Sarah a son.
Adakah sesuatu yang mustahil bagi TUHAN? Seperti telah Kukatakan tadi, sembilan bulan lagi Aku akan kembali ke sini. Dan pada waktu itu Sara akan melahirkan anak laki-laki."
15 And she denied Sarah - saying not I laughed for - she was afraid and he said - In-deed you laughed.
Karena Sara takut, ia menyangkal, katanya, "Saya tidak tertawa." Tetapi TUHAN menjawab, "Engkau memang tertawa tadi."
16 And they arose from there the men and they looked down on [the] face of Sodom and Abraham [was] walking with them to send off them.
Setelah itu berangkatlah ketiga tamu itu diantar oleh Abraham. Lalu sampailah mereka ke suatu tempat dari mana mereka dapat memandang Sodom.
17 And Yahweh he said ¿ [be] concealing [will] I from Abraham [that] which I [am] about to do.
TUHAN berkata dalam hati, "Aku tak mau merahasiakan kepada Abraham apa yang akan Kulakukan.
18 And Abraham certainly he will become a nation great and mighty and they will be blessed by him all [the] nations of the earth.
Bukankah keturunannya akan menjadi bangsa yang besar dan berkuasa? Bukankah melalui dia, semua bangsa di bumi akan Kuberkati?
19 For I have known him so that that he may command children his and household his after him and they will keep [the] way of Yahweh by doing righteousness and justice so that will bring Yahweh on Abraham [that] which he has spoken on him.
Dia telah Kupilih supaya memerintah anak-anaknya dan keturunannya untuk mentaati Aku dan melakukan apa yang baik dan adil. Jika hal itu mereka lakukan, segala janji-Ku kepada Abraham akan Kupenuhi."
20 And he said Yahweh [the] outcry of Sodom and Gomorrah for it is great and sin their that it is heavy exceedingly.
Selanjutnya TUHAN berkata kepada Abraham, "Ada tuduhan yang berat terhadap Sodom dan Gomora, dan memang dosa mereka itu sangat besar.
21 I will go down please so I may see ¿ according to outcry its that has come to me have they done - completion and if not I will know.
Sebab itu Aku hendak turun ke sana untuk memeriksa apakah semua tuduhan yang Kudengar itu benar atau tidak."
22 And they turned away from there the men and they went Sodom towards (and Abraham *L(S)*) still [was] he standing before (Yahweh. *L(S)*)
Lalu dua di antara tamu-tamu itu berangkat menuju ke Sodom, tetapi TUHAN masih tinggal dengan Abraham.
23 And he drew near Abraham and he said ¿ also will you sweep away [the] righteous with [the] wicked.
Abraham mendekati TUHAN dan bertanya, "Benarkah TUHAN hendak membinasakan orang yang tidak bersalah bersama-sama dengan orang yang bersalah?
24 Perhaps there [are] fifty righteous [people] in [the] midst of the city ¿ also will you sweep [it] away and not will you forgive? the place for [the] sake of fifty the righteous [people] who [are] in midst its.
Seandainya ada lima puluh orang yang tidak bersalah di dalam kota itu, apakah seluruh kota itu akan TUHAN binasakan? Tidakkah TUHAN mau mengampuninya supaya kelima puluh orang itu selamat?
25 Far be it to you from doing - according to the manner this to put to death [the] righteous with [the] wicked and it will be as the righteous [person] as the wicked [person] far be it to you ¿ [the] judge of all the earth not will he do justice.
Janganlah orang-orang yang tidak bersalah itu dibunuh bersama-sama dengan yang bersalah. Jangan TUHAN! Sebab jika TUHAN melakukannya, orang yang tidak bersalah pasti akan dihukum bersama-sama dengan yang bersalah. Mana mungkin hakim alam semesta bertindak tidak adil!"
26 And he said Yahweh if I will find in Sodom fifty righteous [people] in [the] midst of the city and I will forgive all the place for sake of them.
TUHAN berkata, "Seandainya Kudapati lima puluh orang yang tidak bersalah di Sodom, akan Kuampuni seluruh kota itu demi mereka."
27 And he answered Abraham and he said here! please I have undertaken to speak to [the] Lord and I [am] dust and ash[es].
Abraham berkata lagi, "Ampunilah keberanian saya menyambung pembicaraan ini, Tuhan. Saya ini hanya manusia, dan tidak berhak untuk mengatakan sesuatu.
28 Perhaps they will lack! fifty the righteous [people] five ¿ will you destroy for five all the city and he said not I will destroy [it] if I will find there forty and five.
Tetapi barangkali hanya ada empat puluh lima orang yang tidak bersalah, dan bukan lima puluh. Apakah Tuhan akan membinasakan seluruh kota itu hanya karena selisih lima orang saja?" TUHAN berkata, "Kota itu tidak akan Kubinasakan seandainya di sana Kudapati empat puluh lima orang yang tidak bersalah."
29 And he repeated again to speak to him and he said perhaps they will be found! there forty and he said not I will do [it] for sake of the forty.
Abraham berkata lagi, "Bagaimana kalau hanya ada empat puluh orang?" TUHAN menjawab, "Demi empat puluh orang itu, akan Kubatalkan niat-Ku."
30 And he said may not please it burn to [the] Lord and let me speak perhaps they will be found! there thirty and he said not I will do [it] if I will find there thirty.
Abraham berkata, "Jangan marah, Tuhan, jika saya berbicara lagi. Bagaimana seandainya hanya ada tiga puluh orang saja?" TUHAN berkata, "Jika Kudapati tiga puluh orang, akan Kuurungkan niat-Ku."
31 And he said here! please I have undertaken to speak to [the] Lord perhaps they will be found! there twenty and he said not I will destroy [it] for sake of the twenty.
Abraham berkata, "Ampunilah keberanian saya meneruskan pembicaraan ini, Tuhan. Seandainya hanya ada dua puluh orang saja?" TUHAN menjawab, "Jika Kudapati dua puluh orang, kota itu tak akan Kubinasakan."
32 And he said may not please it burn to [the] Lord and let me speak only this time perhaps they will be found! there ten and he said not I will destroy [it] for sake of the ten.
Akhirnya Abraham berkata, "Janganlah marah, Tuhan, saya hanya akan berbicara sekali lagi. Bagaimana jika hanya terdapat sepuluh orang saja?" TUHAN berkata, "Jika ada sepuluh orang yang tidak bersalah, Aku tidak akan membinasakan kota itu."
33 And he went Yahweh just as he had finished to speak to Abraham and Abraham he returned to place his.
Setelah selesai berbicara dengan Abraham, TUHAN pergi, dan Abraham pulang ke rumahnya.
