Genesis 18
1 And he appeared to him Yahweh at [the] great trees of Mamre and he [was] sitting [the] opening of the tent when [the] heat of the day.
Yahvé lui apparut près des chênes de Mamré, comme il était assis à l'entrée de la tente, dans la chaleur du jour.
2 And he lifted up eyes his and he saw and there! three men [were] standing with him and he saw and he ran to meet them from [the] opening of the tent and he bowed down [the] ground towards.
Il leva les yeux et regarda, et il vit que trois hommes se tenaient près de lui. Il courut à leur rencontre depuis l'entrée de la tente, se prosterna à terre
3 And he said Lord my if please I have found favor in view your may not please you pass by from with servant your.
etdit: « Seigneur, si j'ai trouvé grâce à tes yeux, ne te sépare pas de ton serviteur.
4 Let it be brought please a little of water and wash feet your and support yourself under the tree.
Allez maintenant chercher un peu d'eau, lavez vos pieds, et reposez-vous sous l'arbre.
5 So let me bring a piece of bread and sustain heart your (after *L(S)*) you will pass on for since you have passed by at servant your and they said thus you will do just as you have said.
Je vais chercher un morceau de pain pour que vous puissiez vous rafraîchir le cœur. Après cela, vous pourrez vous en aller, maintenant que vous êtes venus vers votre serviteur. » Ils ont dit: « Très bien, faites ce que vous avez dit. »
6 And he hurried Abraham the tent towards to Sarah and he said bring quickly three seahs flour fine flour knead [it] and make bread cakes.
Abraham se précipita dans la tente vers Sara, et dit: « Prépare vite trois seahs de fleur de farine, pétris-la et fais des gâteaux. »
7 And to the herd he ran Abraham and he took a young one of [the] herd tender and good and he gave [it] to the servant and he hurried to prepare it.
Abraham courut au troupeau, prit un veau tendre et bon, et le donna au serviteur. Celui-ci s'empressa de le panser.
8 And he brought curd and milk and [the] young one of the herd which he had prepared and he set [it] before them and he [was] standing with them under the tree and they ate.
Il prit du beurre, du lait et le veau qu'il avait habillé, et il le mit devant eux. Il se tint près d'eux sous l'arbre, et ils mangèrent.
9 And they said to him where? [is] Sarah wife your and he said there! in the tent.
Ils lui demandèrent: « Où est Sarah, ta femme? » Il a dit: « Là, dans la tente. »
10 And he said certainly I will return to you about the time living and there! a son [will belong] to Sarah wife your and Sarah [was] listening [the] opening of the tent and it [was] behind him.
Il dit: « Je reviendrai certainement chez toi l'année prochaine à peu près à la même époque; et voici que Sarah, ta femme, aura un fils. » Sara entendit à la porte de la tente, qui était derrière lui.
11 And Abraham and Sarah [were] old [having] come in days it had ceased to be to Sarah a way like women.
Or Abraham et Sara étaient vieux, d'un âge avancé. Sara avait dépassé l'âge de procréer.
12 And she laughed Sarah in inner being her saying after am worn out I has it be[longed]? to me pleasure and lord my he is old.
Sara riait en elle-même, disant: « Quand je serai vieille, aurai-je du plaisir, mon seigneur étant vieux aussi? »
13 And he said Yahweh to Abraham why? this did she laugh Sarah saying ¿ also really will I bear a child and I I am old.
Yahvé dit à Abraham: « Pourquoi Sarah a-t-elle ri en disant: « Aurai-je vraiment un enfant quand je serai vieille?
14 ¿ Is it [too] difficult for Yahweh anything to the appointed time I will return to you about the time living and [will belong] to Sarah a son.
Y a-t-il quelque chose de trop difficile pour Yahvé? Au temps fixé, je reviendrai vers toi, à la saison qui vient, et Sara aura un fils. »
15 And she denied Sarah - saying not I laughed for - she was afraid and he said - In-deed you laughed.
Alors Sarah le nia, disant: « Je n'ai pas ri », car elle avait peur. Il a dit: « Non, mais vous avez ri. »
16 And they arose from there the men and they looked down on [the] face of Sodom and Abraham [was] walking with them to send off them.
Les hommes se levèrent de là et regardèrent vers Sodome. Abraham alla avec eux pour les voir en chemin.
17 And Yahweh he said ¿ [be] concealing [will] I from Abraham [that] which I [am] about to do.
Yahvé dit: « Est-ce que je cacherai à Abraham ce que je fais,
18 And Abraham certainly he will become a nation great and mighty and they will be blessed by him all [the] nations of the earth.
puisque Abraham deviendra une nation grande et puissante, et que toutes les nations de la terre seront bénies en lui?
19 For I have known him so that that he may command children his and household his after him and they will keep [the] way of Yahweh by doing righteousness and justice so that will bring Yahweh on Abraham [that] which he has spoken on him.
Car je l'ai connu, afin qu'il commande à ses enfants et à sa famille après lui, pour qu'ils gardent la voie de l'Éternel, en pratiquant la justice et l'équité, afin que l'Éternel fasse venir sur Abraham ce qu'il a dit de lui. »
20 And he said Yahweh [the] outcry of Sodom and Gomorrah for it is great and sin their that it is heavy exceedingly.
Yahvé dit: « Puisque le cri de Sodome et de Gomorrhe est grand, et que leur péché est très grave,
21 I will go down please so I may see ¿ according to outcry its that has come to me have they done - completion and if not I will know.
je descendrai maintenant, et je verrai si leurs actes sont aussi mauvais que les rapports qui me sont parvenus. Si ce n'est pas le cas, je le saurai. »
22 And they turned away from there the men and they went Sodom towards (and Abraham *L(S)*) still [was] he standing before (Yahweh. *L(S)*)
Les hommes se détournèrent de là et allèrent vers Sodome, mais Abraham se tenait encore devant Yahvé.
23 And he drew near Abraham and he said ¿ also will you sweep away [the] righteous with [the] wicked.
Abraham s'approcha, et dit: Veux-tu consumer les justes avec les méchants?
24 Perhaps there [are] fifty righteous [people] in [the] midst of the city ¿ also will you sweep [it] away and not will you forgive? the place for [the] sake of fifty the righteous [people] who [are] in midst its.
Et s'il y a cinquante justes dans la ville? Vas-tu consumer et ne pas épargner la place pour les cinquante justes qui s'y trouvent?
25 Far be it to you from doing - according to the manner this to put to death [the] righteous with [the] wicked and it will be as the righteous [person] as the wicked [person] far be it to you ¿ [the] judge of all the earth not will he do justice.
Qu'il soit loin de toi de faire de telles choses, de tuer les justes avec les méchants, afin que les justes soient comme les méchants. Que cela soit loin de vous. Le Juge de toute la terre ne devrait-il pas faire ce qui est juste? »
26 And he said Yahweh if I will find in Sodom fifty righteous [people] in [the] midst of the city and I will forgive all the place for sake of them.
Yahvé dit: « Si je trouve à Sodome cinquante justes dans la ville, j'épargnerai tout le lieu à cause d'eux. »
27 And he answered Abraham and he said here! please I have undertaken to speak to [the] Lord and I [am] dust and ash[es].
Abraham répondit: « Voici, j'ai pris sur moi de parler au Seigneur, bien que je sois poussière et cendre.
28 Perhaps they will lack! fifty the righteous [people] five ¿ will you destroy for five all the city and he said not I will destroy [it] if I will find there forty and five.
Et s'il manque cinq des cinquante justes? Détruiras-tu toute la ville par manque de cinq? » Il a dit: « Je ne la détruirai pas si j'y trouve quarante-cinq personnes. »
29 And he repeated again to speak to him and he said perhaps they will be found! there forty and he said not I will do [it] for sake of the forty.
Il lui parla encore, et dit: « Et s'il y en a quarante qui se trouvent là? » Il a dit: « Je ne le ferai pas pour l'amour des quarante. »
30 And he said may not please it burn to [the] Lord and let me speak perhaps they will be found! there thirty and he said not I will do [it] if I will find there thirty.
Il dit: « Oh, ne laissez pas le Seigneur se mettre en colère, et je parlerai. Et s'il y en a trente trouvés là? » Il a dit: « Je ne le ferai pas si j'en trouve trente là-bas. »
31 And he said here! please I have undertaken to speak to [the] Lord perhaps they will be found! there twenty and he said not I will destroy [it] for sake of the twenty.
Il dit: « Voici, j'ai pris sur moi de parler au Seigneur. Et s'il y en a vingt qui se trouvent là? » Il a dit: « Je ne la détruirai pas à cause des vingt. »
32 And he said may not please it burn to [the] Lord and let me speak only this time perhaps they will be found! there ten and he said not I will destroy [it] for sake of the ten.
Il dit: « Oh, que le Seigneur ne se mette pas en colère, et je ne parlerai qu'une fois de plus. Et si l'on en trouve dix là-bas? » Il a dit: « Je ne la détruirai pas à cause des dix. »
33 And he went Yahweh just as he had finished to speak to Abraham and Abraham he returned to place his.
Yahvé s'en alla dès qu'il eut fini de s'entretenir avec Abraham, et Abraham retourna à sa place.
