Genesis 17

1 And he was Abram a son of ninety year[s] and nine years and he appeared Yahweh to Abram and he said to him I [am] God Almighty walk about before me and be blameless.

Då nu Abram nio och niotio år gammal var, syntes honom Herren, och sade till honom: Jag är Gud allsmäktig; vandra för mig och var fullkomlig.

2 So let me make covenant my between me and between you so I may increase you with muchness muchness.

Och jag skall göra mitt förbund emellan mig och dig, och jag skall föröka dig svårliga.

3 And he fell Abram on face his and he spoke with him God saying.

Och Abram föll på sitt ansigte. Och Gud talade yttermera med honom, och sade:

4 I here! covenant my [is] with you and you will become a father of a multitude of nations.

Si, jag äret, och hafver mitt förbund med dig, och du skall varda en fader för mycket folk.

5 And not it will be called again name your Abram and it will be name your Abraham for a father of a multitude of nations I have made you.

Derföre skall du icke mer heta Abram, utan Abraham skall vara ditt namn; ty jag hafver gjort dig till en fader för mycket folk.

6 And I will make fruitful you with muchness muchness and I will make you into nations and kings from you they will come out.

Och skall göra dig ganska mycket fruktsamman, och skall göra folk af dig; skola ock Konungar komma af dig.

7 And I will establish covenant my between me and between you and between offspring your after you for generations their to a covenant of perpetuity to become for you God and for offspring your after you.

Och jag vill göra mitt förbund emellan mig och dig, och dina säd efter dig, i deras afkommandom, att det skall vara ett evigt förbund, så att jag skall vara din Gud, och dine säds efter dig.

8 And I will give to you and to offspring your after you - [the] land of sojournings your all [the] land of Canaan to a possession of perpetuity and I will become for them God.

Och skall gifva dig, och dine säd efter dig, det land, der du en främling uti äst, nemliga, det hela landet Canaan, till evig besittning; och skall vara deras Gud.

9 And he said God to Abraham and you covenant my you will keep you and offspring your after you for generations their.

Och Gud sade yttermera till Abraham: Så håll nu mitt förbund, du, och din säd efter dig, i deras afkommandom.

10 This [is] covenant my which you will keep between me and between you and between offspring your after you they will be circumcised of you every male.

Och detta är förbundet, som I hålla skolen, emellan mig och dig, och dina säd efter dig: Allt det mankön ibland eder är skall omskäras.

11 And you will be circumcised [the] flesh of foreskin your and it will become a sign of [the] covenant between me and between you.

Men I skolen omskära edars kötts förhud. Det samma skall vara ett tecken till förbundet emellan mig och eder.

12 And a son of eight days he will be circumcised of you every male for generations your one born of [the] household and a purchase of silver from every son of foreignness who not [is] one of offspring your he.

Hvart och ett piltebarn, då det är åtta dagar gammalt, skolen I omskära i edra afkommander. Sammalunda hvar och en tjenare, hemma födder eller köpter, eller eljest främmande, och icke af edro säd är.

13 Definitely - he will be circumcised [the] one born of household your and [the] purchase of silver your and it will be covenant my in flesh your to a covenant of perpetuity.

Och så skall mitt förbund vara på edro kötte, till ett evigt förbund.

14 And an uncircumcised - male who not he will be circumcised [the] flesh of foreskin his and it will be cut off the person that from kinspeople its covenant my he has broken.

Och hvar något piltebarn icke varder omskoret i hans kötts förhud, hans själ skall utrotas utu hans folk, derföre att han mitt förbund icke hållit hafver.

15 And he said God to Abraham Sarai wife your not you will call name her Sarai for [is] Sarah name her.

Och Gud sade åter till Abraham: Dina hustru Sarai skall du icke mer kalla Sarai, utan Sara skall vara hennes namn.

16 And I will bless her and also I will give from her to you a son and I will bless her and she will become nations kings of peoples from her they will be.

Ty jag skall välsigna henne, och af henne skall jag gifva dig en son, hvilken jag skall välsigna, och folk skola varda af honom, och Konungar öfver mycket folk.

17 And he fell Abraham on face his and he laughed and he said in heart his ¿ to a son of one hundred year[s] will he be born and or? Sarah ¿ a daughter of ninety year[s] will she bear a child.

Då föll Abraham på sitt ansigte, och log, och sade i sitt hjerta: Skulle mig, som hundrade år gammal är, födas en son? Och Sara, som niotio år gammal är, skulle föda?

18 And he said Abraham to God if Ishmael he will live before you.

Och Abraham sade till Gud: Ack, att dock Ismael måtte få lefva för dig.

19 And he said God but Sarah wife your [is] about to bear to you a son and you will call name his Isaac and I will establish covenant my with him to a covenant of perpetuity for offspring his after him.

Då sade Gud: Ja, Sara din hustru skall föda dig en son, hvilken du skall kalla Isaac; ty med honom skall jag upprätta mitt eviga förbund, och med hans säd efter honom.

20 And to Ishmael I have heard you here! - I will bless him and I will make fruitful him and I will multiply him with muchness muchness two [plus] ten princes he will father and I will make him into a nation great.

Dertill hafver jag ock bönhört dig om Ismael: Si, jag hafver välsignat honom, och skall göra honom fruktsamman, och föröka honom ganska svårliga; tolf Förstar skall han föda, och jag skall göra honom till mycket folk.

21 And covenant my I will establish with Isaac whom she will bear to you Sarah to the time this in the year following.

Men mitt förbund skall jag upprätta med Isaac, den Sara dig föda skall, på denna tidenom åt året.

22 And he finished to speak with him and he went up God from with Abraham.

Och som talet vardt ändadt, for Gud upp ifrån Abraham.

23 And he took Abraham Ishmael son his and all those born of household his and all [the] purchase of silver his every male among [the] men of [the] household of Abraham and he circumcised [the] flesh of foreskin their on [the] substance of the day this just as he had spoken with him God.

Och Abraham tog sin son Ismael och alla tjenare, hemma födda och köpta, och allt det mankön var i hans huse, och omskar förhudena på deras kött, straxt på samma dagenom, som Gud honom sagt hade.

24 And Abraham [was] a son of ninety and nine year[s] when was circumcised he [the] flesh of foreskin his.

Och Abraham var nio och niotio år gammal, då han omskar förhudena på sitt kött.

25 And Ishmael son his [was] a son of thir-teen year[s] when was circumcised he [the] flesh of foreskin his.

Men Ismael hans son var tretton år gammal, då hans kötts förhud omskoren vardt.

26 On [the] substance of the day this he was circumcised Abraham and Ishmael son his.

Allt på enom dag vordo de alle omskorne, Abraham och hans son Ismael;

27 And all [the] men of household his one born of [the] household and a purchase of silver from with a son of foreignness they were circumcised with him.

Och allt det mankön var i hans huse, både hemfödde tjenare och köpte, och eljest främmande; alle vordo de omskorne med honom.
