< Genesis 17 >

1 And he was Abram a son of ninety year[s] and nine years and he appeared Yahweh to Abram and he said to him I [am] God Almighty walk about before me and be blameless.
A, i te mea ka iwa tekau ma iwa nga tau o Aperama, ka puta mai a Ihowa ki a Aperama, ka mea ki a ia, Ko ahau te Atua Kaha Rawa; haereere i mua i toku aroaro, kia tapatahi hoki te whakaaro.
2 So let me make covenant my between me and between you so I may increase you with muchness muchness.
A ka waiho e ahau taku kawenata ki waenganui i a taua, ka tino whakanui rawa ano ahau i a koe.
3 And he fell Abram on face his and he spoke with him God saying.
4 I here! covenant my [is] with you and you will become a father of a multitude of nations.
Na ko ahau, kei a koe taku kawenata, a ka matua koe mo nga iwi maha.
5 And not it will be called again name your Abram and it will be name your Abraham for a father of a multitude of nations I have made you.
6 And I will make fruitful you with muchness muchness and I will make you into nations and kings from you they will come out.
Ka meinga ano koe e ahau kia tino hua rawa, ka meinga koe e ahau hei take mo nga iwi, a ka puta mai nga kingi i roto i a koe.

8 And I will give to you and to offspring your after you - [the] land of sojournings your all [the] land of Canaan to a possession of perpetuity and I will become for them God.
9 And he said God to Abraham and you covenant my you will keep you and offspring your after you for generations their.
I mea ano te Atua ki a Aperahama, Ina, ko koe, me whakarite e koe taku kawenata, e koutou ko ou uri i muri i a koe, e tera whakatupuranga, e tera whakatupuranga o ratou.
10 This [is] covenant my which you will keep between me and between you and between offspring your after you they will be circumcised of you every male.
Ko taku kawenata tenei hei whakaritenga ma koutou i waenganui oku, o koutou ko ou uri i muri i a koe; Me kokoti a koutou tane katoa.
11 And you will be circumcised [the] flesh of foreskin your and it will become a sign of [the] covenant between me and between you.
Me kokoti e koutou to koutou kiri matamata: a ka waiho tena hei tohu mo te kawenata i waenganui oku, o koutou.
12 And a son of eight days he will be circumcised of you every male for generations your one born of [the] household and a purchase of silver from every son of foreignness who not [is] one of offspring your he.
13 Definitely - he will be circumcised [the] one born of household your and [the] purchase of silver your and it will be covenant my in flesh your to a covenant of perpetuity.
Me kokoti tonu te tangata i whanau i roto i tou whare, i hokona ranei ki tau moni, a ka mau taku kawenata ki o koutou kikokiko, hei kawenata mau tonu.
14 And an uncircumcised - male who not he will be circumcised [the] flesh of foreskin his and it will be cut off the person that from kinspeople its covenant my he has broken.
A, ko te tane kihai i kotia, kihai nei i kotia tona kiri matamata, ka hatepea atu tena wairua i roto i tona iwi; kua whakataka e ia taku kawenata.
15 And he said God to Abraham Sarai wife your not you will call name her Sarai for [is] Sarah name her.
A ka mea te Atua ki a Aperahama, Ko Harai, ko tau wahine, kaua e huaina tona ingoa ko Harai, engari ko Hara he ingoa mona.
16 And I will bless her and also I will give from her to you a son and I will bless her and she will become nations kings of peoples from her they will be.
A ko manaaki ahau i a ia, ka hoatu ano hoki i tetahi tama ki a koe i roto i a ia: ina, ka manaaki ahau i a ia, a hei whaea ia mo nga iwi; ka puta mai nga kingi mo nga iwi i roto i a ia.
17 And he fell Abraham on face his and he laughed and he said in heart his ¿ to a son of one hundred year[s] will he be born and or? Sarah ¿ a daughter of ninety year[s] will she bear a child.
Na ka kupapa te kanohi o Aperahama ki raro, a ka kata ia, ka mea hoki i roto i tona ngakau, Tera ranei e whanau he tama ma te tangata kua kotahi rau nei ona tau? e whanau tamariki ranei a Hara, te wahine kua iwa tekau nei ona tau?
18 And he said Abraham to God if Ishmael he will live before you.
19 And he said God but Sarah wife your [is] about to bear to you a son and you will call name his Isaac and I will establish covenant my with him to a covenant of perpetuity for offspring his after him.
Na ka mea te Atua, Ehara, ka whanau ta korua tama ko Hara; a me hua e koe tona ingoa ko Ihaka: ka whakapumau ano ahau i taku kawenata ki a ia, ki ona uri hoki i muri i a ia, hei kawenata mau tonu.
20 And to Ishmael I have heard you here! - I will bless him and I will make fruitful him and I will multiply him with muchness muchness two [plus] ten princes he will father and I will make him into a nation great.
Ko Ihimaera ia, na, kua whakarongo ahau ki a koe; nana, kua oti ia te manaaki e ahau, a ka meinga ia e ahau kia hua, kia tino nui rawa hoki; ka whanau ana tamariki kotahi tekau ma rua he ariki, a ka meinga ia e ahau hei iwi nui.
21 And covenant my I will establish with Isaac whom she will bear to you Sarah to the time this in the year following.
22 And he finished to speak with him and he went up God from with Abraham.
23 And he took Abraham Ishmael son his and all those born of household his and all [the] purchase of silver his every male among [the] men of [the] household of Abraham and he circumcised [the] flesh of foreskin their on [the] substance of the day this just as he had spoken with him God.
Katahi ka tongo a Aperahama i a Ihimaera i tana tama, ratou ko nga mea katoa i whanau i roto i tona whare, me nga mea katoa i hokona ki tana moni, nga tane katoa i roto i nga tangata o te whare o Aperahama; a kotia ana e ia to ratou kiri matamat a i taua ra pu ano, i pera me ta te Atua i korero ai ki a ia.
24 And Abraham [was] a son of ninety and nine year[s] when was circumcised he [the] flesh of foreskin his.
25 And Ishmael son his [was] a son of thir-teen year[s] when was circumcised he [the] flesh of foreskin his.
Kotahi tekau ma toru hoki nga tau o tana tama o Ihimaera i te kotinga o tona kiri matamata.
26 On [the] substance of the day this he was circumcised Abraham and Ishmael son his.
No taua rangi pu ano i kotia ai a Aperahama, raua ko tana tama, ko Ihimaera.
27 And all [the] men of household his one born of [the] household and a purchase of silver from with a son of foreignness they were circumcised with him.
A i kotia ngatahitia me ia nga tangata katoa o tona whare, nga mea i whanau i roto i te whare, me nga mea i hokona ki te moni i te tangata iwi ke.
