Genesis 17
1 And he was Abram a son of ninety year[s] and nine years and he appeared Yahweh to Abram and he said to him I [am] God Almighty walk about before me and be blameless.
Mgbe Ebram gbara iri afọ itoolu na itoolu, Onyenwe anyị gosiri ya onwe ya sị ya, “Abụ m Chineke Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile. Jegharịa ije nʼihu m, bụrụ onye na-enweghị ịta ụta ọbụla.
2 So let me make covenant my between me and between you so I may increase you with muchness muchness.
Aga m eme ka ọgbụgba ndụ m dịrị nʼetiti mụ na gị, mekwa ka ị mụbaa nke ukwuu nʼọnụọgụgụ.”
3 And he fell Abram on face his and he spoke with him God saying.
Ebram dara nʼala, kpudo ihu ya nʼala. Chineke gwara ya sị,
4 I here! covenant my [is] with you and you will become a father of a multitude of nations.
“Lee, nke a bụ ọgbụgba ndụ dị nʼetiti mụ na gị. Ị ga-abụ nna ọtụtụ mba.
5 And not it will be called again name your Abram and it will be name your Abraham for a father of a multitude of nations I have made you.
Aha gị agaghị abụkwa Ebram, kama ọ ga-abụ Ebraham, nʼihi na emeela m gị nna nke ọtụtụ mba.
6 And I will make fruitful you with muchness muchness and I will make you into nations and kings from you they will come out.
Aga m eme gị ka ị mụbaa nke ukwuu. Aga m eme ka ị ghọọ ọtụtụ mba dị iche iche, ndị eze ga-esitekwa na gị pụta.
7 And I will establish covenant my between me and between you and between offspring your after you for generations their to a covenant of perpetuity to become for you God and for offspring your after you.
Aga m eme ka ọgbụgba ndụ mụ na gị gbara guzosie ike, ka ọ dịkwara ụmụ ụmụ ndị ga-esote gị nʼọgbọ niile na-abịa. Ọ bụ ọgbụgba ndụ na-egosi na m bụ Chineke gị, na Chineke ụmụ ụmụ gị niile ga-eso gị.
8 And I will give to you and to offspring your after you - [the] land of sojournings your all [the] land of Canaan to a possession of perpetuity and I will become for them God.
Ala Kenan niile, ebe ị nọ ugbu a dịka ọbịa ka m ga-enye gị na ụmụ ụmụ gị ga-esote gị dịka ihe nketa ebighị ebi. Aga m abụ Chineke ha.”
9 And he said God to Abraham and you covenant my you will keep you and offspring your after you for generations their.
Chineke gwara Ebraham okwu sị ya, “Ma nʼebe ị nọ, ị ghaghị irube isi imezu ihe ọgbụgba ndụ m kwuru, gị onwe gị na ụmụ ụmụ gị ndị ga-esote gị, ruo ọgbọ niile.
10 This [is] covenant my which you will keep between me and between you and between offspring your after you they will be circumcised of you every male.
Nke a bụ ọgbụgba ndụ dị nʼetiti mụ na gị na ụmụ ụmụ gị ndị ga-esote gị, ọgbụgba ndụ nke unu na-aghaghị idebe. A ga-ebi nwoke ọbụla nʼetiti unu ugwu.
11 And you will be circumcised [the] flesh of foreskin your and it will become a sign of [the] covenant between me and between you.
A ga-ebi unu ugwu, bipụ elu ahụ nke anụ ahụ unu. Nke a ga-abụ ihe ama nke ọgbụgba ndụ dị nʼetiti mụ na unu.
12 And a son of eight days he will be circumcised of you every male for generations your one born of [the] household and a purchase of silver from every son of foreignness who not [is] one of offspring your he.
Nʼoge ọ gbara mkpụrụ ụbọchị asatọ, unu ga-ebi nwoke ọbụla nʼagbụrụ unu ugwu: ndị a mụrụ nʼụlọ, maọbụ ndị eji ego zụta site nʼaka ndị mba ọzọ, ndị na-esighị na mkpụrụ nke afọ gị.
13 Definitely - he will be circumcised [the] one born of household your and [the] purchase of silver your and it will be covenant my in flesh your to a covenant of perpetuity.
A ga-ebi ha niile ugwu. Ma a mụrụ ha nʼezinaụlọ gị ma i ji ego zụta ha site nʼaka onye mba ọzọ. Ọgbụgba ndụ m nke ga-apụta ihe nʼanụ ahụ gị bụ ọgbụgba ndụ ebighị ebi.
14 And an uncircumcised - male who not he will be circumcised [the] flesh of foreskin his and it will be cut off the person that from kinspeople its covenant my he has broken.
Nwoke ọbụla a na-ebighị ugwu nke anụ ahụ ka a ga-ebipụ site nʼetiti ụmụnna ya. Nʼihi na o mehiela megide ọgbụgba ndụ m.”
15 And he said God to Abraham Sarai wife your not you will call name her Sarai for [is] Sarah name her.
Chineke gwakwara Ebraham sị, “Ma nʼebe Serai nwunye gị nọ, ị gaghị akpọkwa ya Serai ọzọ, kama aha ya ga-abụ Sera.
16 And I will bless her and also I will give from her to you a son and I will bless her and she will become nations kings of peoples from her they will be.
Aga m agọzi ya, sitekwa na ya nye gị nwa nwoke. Aga m agọzi ya ruo na ọ ga-abụ nne nke ọtụtụ mba. Ndị eze ga-achị ọtụtụ mmadụ ga-esite na ya pụta.”
17 And he fell Abraham on face his and he laughed and he said in heart his ¿ to a son of one hundred year[s] will he be born and or? Sarah ¿ a daughter of ninety year[s] will she bear a child.
Ebraham dara kpuo ihu nʼala, chịakwa ọchị nʼobi ya sị, “Ọ bụ onye gbara narị afọ ka a ga-amụrụ nwa? Sera, onye gbara iri afọ itoolu ọ ga-amụ nwa?”
18 And he said Abraham to God if Ishmael he will live before you.
Ebraham gwara Chineke sị, “A sịkwa na ị ga-ekwe mee ka Ishmel bụrụ onye dị ndụ nʼihu gị.”
19 And he said God but Sarah wife your [is] about to bear to you a son and you will call name his Isaac and I will establish covenant my with him to a covenant of perpetuity for offspring his after him.
Ma Chineke zara sị ya, “Ee, kama Sera nwunye gị ga-amụtara gị nwa nwoke. Ị ga-agụ ya Aịzik. Ọgbụgba ndụ m ga-adịkwara ya na agbụrụ ya ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.
20 And to Ishmael I have heard you here! - I will bless him and I will make fruitful him and I will multiply him with muchness muchness two [plus] ten princes he will father and I will make him into a nation great.
Ma banyere Ishmel, anụla m ihe i kwuru. Aga m agọzi ya mee ya ka ọ baa ụba ma dịkwa ukwuu nʼọnụọgụgụ. Ọ ga-aghọ nna ndị eze iri na abụọ. Aga m eme ya ka ọ ghọọ mba dị ukwuu.
21 And covenant my I will establish with Isaac whom she will bear to you Sarah to the time this in the year following.
Ma ọgbụgba ndụ m ka m ga-eme ka o guzosie ike nʼebe Aịzik nọ, onye Sera ga-amụtara gị nʼoge dịka ugbu a nʼafọ ọzọ.”
22 And he finished to speak with him and he went up God from with Abraham.
Mgbe ọ gwasịrị Ebraham okwu, Chineke si nʼebe ọ nọ pụọ.
23 And he took Abraham Ishmael son his and all those born of household his and all [the] purchase of silver his every male among [the] men of [the] household of Abraham and he circumcised [the] flesh of foreskin their on [the] substance of the day this just as he had spoken with him God.
Nʼụbọchị ahụ, Ebraham duuru Ishmel nwa ya nwoke, na ndị ikom niile a mụrụ nʼezinaụlọ ya, tinyere ndị e ji ego zụta, ndị ikom niile nọ nʼezinaụlọ ya, bie ha ugwu dịka Chineke gwara ya ka ọ mee.
24 And Abraham [was] a son of ninety and nine year[s] when was circumcised he [the] flesh of foreskin his.
Ebraham gbara iri afọ itoolu na itoolu mgbe e biri ya ugwu,
25 And Ishmael son his [was] a son of thir-teen year[s] when was circumcised he [the] flesh of foreskin his.
Ishmel nwa ya gbara afọ iri na atọ.
26 On [the] substance of the day this he was circumcised Abraham and Ishmael son his.
E biri Ebraham na nwa ya bụ Ishmel ugwu nʼotu ụbọchị ahụ.
27 And all [the] men of household his one born of [the] household and a purchase of silver from with a son of foreignness they were circumcised with him.
Ndị ikom niile nọ nʼezinaụlọ Ebraham, ndị a mụrụ nʼụlọ ya na ndị e si nʼaka ndị mba ọzọ zụta ka e biri ugwu nʼoge Ebraham biri ugwu.
