< Genesis 17 >
1 And he was Abram a son of ninety year[s] and nine years and he appeared Yahweh to Abram and he said to him I [am] God Almighty walk about before me and be blameless.

2 So let me make covenant my between me and between you so I may increase you with muchness muchness.

3 And he fell Abram on face his and he spoke with him God saying.
Te dongah Abram loh a hmai la a bakop hatah Pathen loh,
4 I here! covenant my [is] with you and you will become a father of a multitude of nations.
“Kai khaw he, nang taengah ka paipi a om vanbangla namtom hlangping kah a napa la na om ni.
5 And not it will be called again name your Abram and it will be name your Abraham for a father of a multitude of nations I have made you.
Nang he namtom hlangping kah a napa la kan khueh coeng dongah na ming khaw Abram la n'khue voel mahpawh. Tedae nang ming te Abraham la om pawn ni.
6 And I will make fruitful you with muchness muchness and I will make you into nations and kings from you they will come out.
Nang te muep muep kan pungtai sak vetih namtom rhoek la kan khueh ni. Te vaengah nang taeng lamkah manghai rhoek ha thoeng ni.
7 And I will establish covenant my between me and between you and between offspring your after you for generations their to a covenant of perpetuity to become for you God and for offspring your after you.
Te vaengah ka paipi he kamah laklo neh nang laklo ah khaw, nang phoeikah na tiingan, amih kah cadilcahma laklo ah kumhal paipi la ka thoh ni. Nang ham neh nang phoeikah na tiingan ham Pathen la ka om ni.
8 And I will give to you and to offspring your after you - [the] land of sojournings your all [the] land of Canaan to a possession of perpetuity and I will become for them God.
Te vaengah na lampahnah khohmuen Kanaan kho pum te kumhal khohut la nang neh nang phoeikah na tiingan taengah kam paek vetih amih taengah Pathen la ka om ni “a ti nah.
9 And he said God to Abraham and you covenant my you will keep you and offspring your after you for generations their.
Te phoeiah Pathen loh Abraham taengah, “Te dongah ka paipi he nang namah ham khaw, nang phoeikah na tiingan ham khaw, amih kah cadilcahma ham khaw ngaithuen.
10 This [is] covenant my which you will keep between me and between you and between offspring your after you they will be circumcised of you every male.
Ka paipi he kamah laklo neh nang laklo ah khaw, nang phoeikah na tiingan laklo ah ngaithuen vetih nangmih khuikah tongpa boeih te yahhmui rhet pah.
11 And you will be circumcised [the] flesh of foreskin your and it will become a sign of [the] covenant between me and between you.
Te dongah yahhmui na rhet vaengkah na yahhmui saa te kai laklo neh nang laklo kah paipi miknoek la om ni.
12 And a son of eight days he will be circumcised of you every male for generations your one born of [the] household and a purchase of silver from every son of foreignness who not [is] one of offspring your he.
Te phoeiah nangmih khuikah neh na cadilcahma, im kah cahlah, neh namah tiingan lamkah pawt tih tangka neh na lai kholong ca boeih khuikah tongpa boeih loh hnin rhet a lo ca vaengah yahhmui rhet saeh.
13 Definitely - he will be circumcised [the] one born of household your and [the] purchase of silver your and it will be covenant my in flesh your to a covenant of perpetuity.
Na im kah cahlah long khaw, na tangka neh na lai long khaw, yahhmui a rhet rhoela a rhet daengah ni ka paipi loh na pumsa dongah kumhal paipi la a om eh.
14 And an uncircumcised - male who not he will be circumcised [the] flesh of foreskin his and it will be cut off the person that from kinspeople its covenant my he has broken.
Tedae amah kah yahhmui saa aka rhet mueh tongpa pumdul te tah ka paipi a kak sak dongah a pilnam khui lamkah tekah hinglu te khoe saeh,” a ti nah.
15 And he said God to Abraham Sarai wife your not you will call name her Sarai for [is] Sarah name her.
Te phoeiah Pathen loh Abraham taengah, “Na yuu Sarai amah ming neh na khue mahpawh. Anih ming Sarah te Sarai yuengla om coeng.
16 And I will bless her and also I will give from her to you a son and I will bless her and she will become nations kings of peoples from her they will be.
Anih khaw yoethen ka paek vetih anih rhang neh nang ham capa khaw kan paek ni. Anih yoethen ka paek vetih namtom la coeng ni. Pilnam rhoek kah manghai rhoek khaw anih khui lamkah ha thoeng uh ni,” a ti nah.
17 And he fell Abraham on face his and he laughed and he said in heart his ¿ to a son of one hundred year[s] will he be born and or? Sarah ¿ a daughter of ninety year[s] will she bear a child.
Te vaengah Abraham tah a maelhmai neh bakop tih a nueih doela a lungbuei khuiah, “Kum yakhat pa loh a sak vetih kum sawmko nu Sarah loh ca a cun koinih?” a ti.
18 And he said Abraham to God if Ishmael he will live before you.
Te dongah Abraham loh Pathen taengah, “Na hmai ah Ishmael mah hing mai koinih,” a ti nah.
19 And he said God but Sarah wife your [is] about to bear to you a son and you will call name his Isaac and I will establish covenant my with him to a covenant of perpetuity for offspring his after him.
Tedae Pathen loh, “Thuem ngawn dae na yuu Sarah loh nang ham capa han cun vetih a ming te Isaak na sui ni. Ka paipi khaw anih neh anih phoeikah a tiingan ham dungyan paipi la ka thoh ni.
20 And to Ishmael I have heard you here! - I will bless him and I will make fruitful him and I will multiply him with muchness muchness two [plus] ten princes he will father and I will make him into a nation great.
Tedae Ishmael ham khaw ka yaak ngawn ne. Anih khaw yoethen ka paek vetih ka pungtai sak ni. Muep muep ka ping sak phoeiah khoboei hlai nit a sak vetih pilnu la ka khueh ni.
21 And covenant my I will establish with Isaac whom she will bear to you Sarah to the time this in the year following.
Tedae ka paipi he Isaak taengah ni ka thoh eh. Anih te hmai kum kah tahae khoning vaengah Sarah loh nang hamla a cun ni,” a ti nah.
22 And he finished to speak with him and he went up God from with Abraham.
Anih taengah thui ham te a khah van neh Pathen khaw Abraham taeng lamkah nong.
23 And he took Abraham Ishmael son his and all those born of household his and all [the] purchase of silver his every male among [the] men of [the] household of Abraham and he circumcised [the] flesh of foreskin their on [the] substance of the day this just as he had spoken with him God.
Te dongah Abraham loh a capa Ishmael khaw, a im kah cahlah boeih khaw, Abraham imkhui tongpa rhoek khuikah a tangka neh a lai tongpa boeih te a khuen tih Pathen loh a thui bangla amah khohnin van ah amih kah yahhmui saa te a rhet pah.
24 And Abraham [was] a son of ninety and nine year[s] when was circumcised he [the] flesh of foreskin his.
Te dongah Abraham loh a yahhmui saa a rhet vaengah kum sawmko neh kum ko lo ca coeng.
25 And Ishmael son his [was] a son of thir-teen year[s] when was circumcised he [the] flesh of foreskin his.
A capa Ishmael khaw kum hlai thum a lo ca vaengah a yahhmui saa te a rhet pah.
26 On [the] substance of the day this he was circumcised Abraham and Ishmael son his.
Tekah khohnin van ah Abraham neh a capa Ishmael te yahhmui rhet pah la om.
27 And all [the] men of household his one born of [the] household and a purchase of silver from with a son of foreignness they were circumcised with him.
Te phoeiah a im kah hlang boeih, im kah cahlah neh kholong ca tangka neh a lai te khaw amah neh yahhmui a rhet uh.
