Genesis 14
1 And it was in [the] days of Amraphel [the] king of Shinar Arioch [the] king of Ellasar Kedorlaomer [the] king of Elam and Tidal [the] king of Goyim.
Pada zaman Amrafel, raja Sinear, Ariokh, raja Elasar, Kedorlaomer, raja Elam, dan Tideal, raja Goyim, terjadilah,
2 They made war with Bera [the] king of Sodom and with Birsha [the] king of Gomorrah Shinab - [the] king of Admah and Shemeber [the] king of (Zeboiim *Q(k)*) and [the] king of Bela that [is] Zoar.
bahwa raja-raja ini berperang melawan Bera, raja Sodom, Birsya, raja Gomora, Syinab, raja Adma, Syemeber, raja Zeboim dan raja negeri Bela, yakni negeri Zoar.
3 All these they joined together to [the] valley of Siddim that [is] [the] Sea of Salt.
Raja-raja yang disebut terakhir ini semuanya bersekutu dan datang ke lembah Sidim, yakni Laut Asin.
4 Two [plus] ten year[s] they had served Kedorlaomer and thir-teen year they rebelled.
Dua belas tahun lamanya mereka takluk kepada Kedorlaomer, tetapi dalam tahun yang ketiga belas mereka memberontak.
5 And in four-teen year he came Kedorlaomer and the kings who [were] with him and they defeated [the] Rephaites in Ashteroth Karnaim and the Zuzites in Ham and the Emites in Shaveh Kiriathaim.
Dalam tahun yang keempat belas datanglah Kedorlaomer serta raja-raja yang bersama-sama dengan dia, lalu mereka mengalahkan orang Refaim di Asyterot-Karnaim, orang Zuzim di Ham, orang Emim di Syawe-Kiryataim
6 And the Horite[s] in hill country of their Seir to El Paran which [is] at the wilderness.
dan orang Hori di pegunungan mereka yang bernama Seir, sampai ke El-Paran di tepi padang gurun.
7 And they turned back and they came to En Mishpat that [is] Kadesh and they defeated all [the] region of the Amalekite[s] and also the Amorite[s] who was dwelling in Hazezon Tamar.
Sesudah itu baliklah mereka dan sampai ke En-Mispat, yakni Kadesh, dan mengalahkan seluruh daerah orang Amalek, dan juga orang Amori, yang diam di Hazezon-Tamar.
8 And he went out [the] king of Sodom and [the] king of Gomorrah and [the] king of Admah and [the] king of (Zeboiim *Q(k)*) and [the] king of Bela that [is] Zoar and they deployed with them battle in [the] valley of Siddim.
Lalu keluarlah raja negeri Sodom, raja negeri Gomora, raja negeri Adma, raja negeri Zeboim dan raja negeri Bela, yakni negeri Zoar, dan mengatur barisan perangnya melawan mereka di lembah Sidim,
9 With Kedorlaomer [the] king of Elam and Tidal [the] king of Goyim and Amraphel [the] king of Shinar and Arioch [the] king of Ellasar four kings with the five.
melawan Kedorlaomer, raja Elam, Tideal, raja Goyim, Amrafel, raja Sinear, dan Ariokh, raja Elasar, empat raja lawan lima.
10 And [the] valley of Siddim [was] pits pits of bitumen and they fled [the] king of Sodom and Gomorrah and they fell there towards and those [who] survived [the] hill country towards they fled.
Di lembah Sidim itu di mana-mana ada sumur aspal. Ketika raja Sodom dan raja Gomora melarikan diri, jatuhlah mereka ke dalamnya, dan orang-orang yang masih tinggal hidup melarikan diri ke pegunungan.
11 And they took all [the] possession[s] of Sodom and Gomorrah and all food their and they went.
Segala harta benda Sodom dan Gomora beserta segala bahan makanan dirampas musuh, lalu mereka pergi.
12 And they took Lot and possession[s] his [the] son of [the] brother of Abram and they went and he [was] dwelling in Sodom.
Juga Lot, anak saudara Abram, beserta harta bendanya, dibawa musuh, lalu mereka pergi--sebab Lot itu diam di Sodom.
13 And he came the fugitive and he told to Abram the Hebrew and he [was] dwelling at [the] great trees of Mamre the Amorite [the] brother of Eshcol and [the] brother of Aner and they [were] [the] partners of [the] covenant of Abram.
Kemudian datanglah seorang pelarian dan menceritakan hal ini kepada Abram, orang Ibrani itu, yang tinggal dekat pohon-pohon tarbantin kepunyaan Mamre, orang Amori itu, saudara Eskol dan Aner, yakni teman-teman sekutu Abram.
14 And he heard Abram that he had been taken captive relative his and he drew out trained men his those born of household his eight-teen and three hundred and he pursued to Dan.
Ketika Abram mendengar, bahwa anak saudaranya tertawan, maka dikerahkannyalah orang-orangnya yang terlatih, yakni mereka yang lahir di rumahnya, tiga ratus delapan belas orang banyaknya, lalu mengejar musuh sampai ke Dan.
15 And divided himself on them - night he and servants his and he attacked them and he pursued them to Hobah which [is] from [the] north of Damascus.
Dan pada waktu malam berbagilah mereka, ia dan hamba-hambanya itu, untuk melawan musuh; mereka mengalahkan dan mengejar musuh sampai ke Hoba di sebelah utara Damsyik.
16 And he brought back all the possession[s] and also Lot relative his and possession[s] his he brought back and also the women and the people.
Dibawanyalah kembali segala harta benda itu; juga Lot, anak saudaranya itu, serta harta bendanya dibawanya kembali, demikian juga perempuan-perempuan dan orang-orangnya.
17 And he went out [the] king of Sodom to meet him after returned he from defeating (Kedor-laomer *LBH(A)*) and the kings who [were] with him to [the] valley of Shaveh that [is] [the] valley of the king.
Setelah Abram kembali dari mengalahkan Kedorlaomer dan para raja yang bersama-sama dengan dia, maka keluarlah raja Sodom menyongsong dia ke lembah Syawe, yakni Lembah Raja.
18 And Melchi-zedek [the] king of Salem he brought out bread and wine and he [was] a priest of God Most High.
Melkisedek, raja Salem, membawa roti dan anggur; ia seorang imam Allah Yang Mahatinggi.
19 And he blessed him and he said [be] blessed Abram by God Most High [the] creator of heaven and earth.
Lalu ia memberkati Abram, katanya: "Diberkatilah kiranya Abram oleh Allah Yang Mahatinggi, Pencipta langit dan bumi,
20 And [be] blessed God Most High who he has delivered opponents your in hand your and he gave to him a tenth from everything.
dan terpujilah Allah Yang Mahatinggi, yang telah menyerahkan musuhmu ke tanganmu." Lalu Abram memberikan kepadanya sepersepuluh dari semuanya.
21 And he said [the] king of Sodom to Abram give to me the person[s] and the possession[s] take for yourself.
Berkatalah raja Sodom itu kepada Abram: "Berikanlah kepadaku orang-orang itu, dan ambillah untukmu harta benda itu."
22 And he said Abram to [the] king of Sodom I raise hand my to Yahweh God Most High [the] creator of heaven and earth.
Tetapi kata Abram kepada raja negeri Sodom itu: "Aku bersumpah demi TUHAN, Allah Yang Mahatinggi, Pencipta langit dan bumi:
23 If from a thread and unto a thong of a sandal and if I will take any of all that [belongs] to you and not you will say I I made rich Abram.
Aku tidak akan mengambil apa-apa dari kepunyaanmu itu, sepotong benang atau tali kasutpun tidak, supaya engkau jangan dapat berkata: Aku telah membuat Abram menjadi kaya.
24 Apart from me only [that] which they have eaten the young men and [the] share of the men who went with me Aner Eshcol and Mamre they let them take share their.
Kalau aku, jangan sekali-kali! Hanya apa yang telah dimakan oleh bujang-bujang ini dan juga bagian orang-orang yang pergi bersama-sama dengan aku, yakni Aner, Eskol dan Mamre, biarlah mereka itu mengambil bagiannya masing-masing."
