Genesis 13
1 And he went up Abram from Egypt he and wife his and all that [belonged] to him and Lot with him the Negev towards.
Abramo dunque risalì dall’Egitto con sua moglie, con tutto quel che possedeva e con Lot, andando verso il mezzogiorno di Canaan.
2 And Abram [was] wealthy very in livestock in silver and in gold.
Abramo era molto ricco di bestiame, d’argento e d’oro.
3 And he went to journeyings his from [the] Negev and to Beth-el to the place where it had been there (tent his *Q(K)*) at the beginning between Beth-el and between Ai.
E continuò il suo viaggio dal mezzogiorno fino a Bethel, al luogo ove da principio era stata la sua tenda, fra Bethel ed Ai,
4 To [the] place of the altar which he had made there at the former [time] and he called there Abram on [the] name of Yahweh.
al luogo dov’era l’altare ch’egli avea fatto da prima; e quivi Abramo invocò il nome dell’Eterno.
5 And also to Lot who was traveling with Abram it be[longed] sheep and cattle and tents.
Or Lot, che viaggiava con Abramo, aveva anch’egli pecore, buoi e tende.
6 And not it supported them the land to dwell together for it was possession[s] their much and not they were able to dwell together.
E il paese non era sufficiente perch’essi potessero abitarvi assieme; poiché le loro facoltà erano grandi ed essi non potevano stare assieme.
7 And it was quarreling between [the] herdsmen of [the] livestock of Abram and between [the] herdsmen of [the] livestock of Lot and the Canaanite[s] and the Perizzite[s] then [was] dwelling in the land.
E nacque una contesa fra i pastori del bestiame d’Abramo e i pastori del bestiame di Lot. I Cananei e i Ferezei abitavano a quel tempo nel paese.
8 And he said Abram to Lot may not please there be strife between me and between you and between herdsmen my and between herdsmen your for [are] men brothers we.
E Abramo disse a Lot: “Deh, non ci sia contesa fra me e te, né fra i miei pastori e i tuoi pastori, poiché siam fratelli!
9 ¿ Not [is] all the land before you separate please from with me if the left so let me go right and if the right and I will go left.
Tutto il paese non sta esso davanti a te? Deh, separati da me! Se tu vai a sinistra, io andrò a destra; e se tu vai a destra, io andrò a sinistra”.
10 And he lifted up Lot eyes his and he saw all [the] valley of the Jordan that all of it [was] well-watered before - destroyed Yahweh Sodom and Gomorrah like [the] garden of Yahweh like [the] land of Egypt going you Zoar.
E Lot alzò gli occhi e vide l’intera pianura del Giordano. Prima che l’Eterno avesse distrutto Sodoma e Gomorra, essa era tutta quanta irrigata fino a Tsoar, come il giardino dell’Eterno, come il paese d’Egitto.
11 And he chose for himself Lot all [the] valley of the Jordan and he set out Lot from [the] east and they separated each from with brother his.
E Lot si scelse tutta la pianura del Giordano, e partì andando verso oriente. Così si separarono l’uno dall’altro.
12 Abram he dwelt in [the] land of Canaan and Lot he dwelt in [the] cities of the valley and he moved tent to Sodom.
Abramo dimorò nel paese di Canaan, e Lot abitò nelle città della pianura e andò piantando le sue tende fino a Sodoma.
13 And [the] people of Sodom [were] wicked and sinful to Yahweh exceedingly.
Ora la gente di Sodoma era scellerata e oltremodo peccatrice contro l’Eterno.
14 And Yahweh he said to Abram after separated Lot from with him lift up please eyes your and look from the place where you [are] there north-ward and south-ward and east-ward and west-ward.
E l’Eterno disse ad Abramo, dopo che Lot si fu separato da lui: “Alza ora gli occhi tuoi e mira, dal luogo dove sei, a settentrione, a mezzogiorno, a oriente, a occidente.
15 For all the land which you [are] seeing to you I will give it and to offspring your until perpetuity.
Tutto il paese che vedi, lo darò a te e alla tua progenie, in perpetuo.
16 And I will make offspring your like [the] dust of the earth which - if he will be able anyone to count [the] dust of the earth also offspring your it will numbered.
E farò si che la tua progenie sarà come la polvere della terra; in guisa che, se alcuno può contare la polvere della terra, anche la tua progenie si potrà contare.
17 Arise walk about in the land to length its and to breadth its for to you I will give it.
Lèvati, percorri il paese quant’è lungo e quant’è largo, poiché io te lo darò”.
18 And he moved tent Abram and he went and he dwelt at [the] great trees of Mamre which [are] at Hebron and he built there an altar to Yahweh.
Allora Abramo levò le sue tende, e venne ad abitare alle querce di Mamre, che sono a Hebron; e quivi edificò un altare all’Eterno.
