Genesis 13
1 And he went up Abram from Egypt he and wife his and all that [belonged] to him and Lot with him the Negev towards.
Iz Egipta Abram ode gore u Negeb sa svojom ženom i sa svime što je imao. I Lot bješe s njim.
2 And Abram [was] wealthy very in livestock in silver and in gold.
Abram je bio veoma bogat stokom, srebrom i zlatom.
3 And he went to journeyings his from [the] Negev and to Beth-el to the place where it had been there (tent his *Q(K)*) at the beginning between Beth-el and between Ai.
Od postaje do postaje iz Negeba išao je do Betela,
4 To [the] place of the altar which he had made there at the former [time] and he called there Abram on [the] name of Yahweh.
do mjesta na kojem je bio postavio šator, između Betela i Aja, gdje je prije podigao žrtvenik. Tu je Abram zazivao ime Jahvino.
5 And also to Lot who was traveling with Abram it be[longed] sheep and cattle and tents.
I Lot, koji iđaše s Abramom, imaše ovaca, goveda i šatora,
6 And not it supported them the land to dwell together for it was possession[s] their much and not they were able to dwell together.
tako da ih kraj ne bi izdržavao kad bi zajedno ostali. Njihovo je blago bilo veliko, te zajedno nisu mogli boraviti.
7 And it was quarreling between [the] herdsmen of [the] livestock of Abram and between [the] herdsmen of [the] livestock of Lot and the Canaanite[s] and the Perizzite[s] then [was] dwelling in the land.
Svađa je nastajala između pastira stoke Abramove i pastira stoke Lotove. Tada su zemlju nastavali Kanaanci i Perižani.
8 And he said Abram to Lot may not please there be strife between me and between you and between herdsmen my and between herdsmen your for [are] men brothers we.
Zato Abram reče Lotu: “Neka ne bude svađe između mene i tebe, između pastira mojih i tvojih - tÓa mi smo braća!
9 ¿ Not [is] all the land before you separate please from with me if the left so let me go right and if the right and I will go left.
Nije li sva zemlja pred tobom? Odvoji se od mene! Kreneš li ti nalijevo, ja ću nadesno; ako ćeš ti nadesno, ja ću nalijevo.”
10 And he lifted up Lot eyes his and he saw all [the] valley of the Jordan that all of it [was] well-watered before - destroyed Yahweh Sodom and Gomorrah like [the] garden of Yahweh like [the] land of Egypt going you Zoar.
Lot podiže oči i vidje kako je dobro posvuda natapana sva Jordanska dolina, kao kakav vrt Jahvin, kao zemlja egipatska prema Soaru. - Bilo je to prije nego što je Jahve uništio Sodomu i Gomoru. -
11 And he chose for himself Lot all [the] valley of the Jordan and he set out Lot from [the] east and they separated each from with brother his.
Lot izabere za se svu Jordansku dolinu i ode na istok. Tako se odijele jedan od drugoga.
12 Abram he dwelt in [the] land of Canaan and Lot he dwelt in [the] cities of the valley and he moved tent to Sodom.
Abram ostade u kanaanskoj zemlji, dok je Lot živio po mjestima u dolini i razapeo svoje šatore do Sodome.
13 And [the] people of Sodom [were] wicked and sinful to Yahweh exceedingly.
A žitelji Sodome bijahu veoma opaki, sami grešnici protiv Jahve.
14 And Yahweh he said to Abram after separated Lot from with him lift up please eyes your and look from the place where you [are] there north-ward and south-ward and east-ward and west-ward.
Jahve reče Abramu, pošto se Lot od njega rastao: “Oči svoje podigni i s mjesta na kojem si pogledaj prema sjeveru, jugu, istoku i zapadu;
15 For all the land which you [are] seeing to you I will give it and to offspring your until perpetuity.
jer svu zemlju što je možeš vidjeti dat ću tebi i tvome potomstvu zauvijek.
16 And I will make offspring your like [the] dust of the earth which - if he will be able anyone to count [the] dust of the earth also offspring your it will numbered.
Potomstvo ću tvoje učiniti kao prah na zemlji. Ako tko mogne prebrojiti prah zemlje, i tvoje će potomstvo moći prebrojiti.
17 Arise walk about in the land to length its and to breadth its for to you I will give it.
Na noge! Prođi zemljom uzduž i poprijeko jer ću je tebi predati.”
18 And he moved tent Abram and he went and he dwelt at [the] great trees of Mamre which [are] at Hebron and he built there an altar to Yahweh.
Abram digne šatore i dođe pa se naseli kod hrasta Mamre, što je u Hebronu. Ondje podigne žrtvenik Jahvi.
