< Genesis 12 >
1 And he said Yahweh to Abram go for yourself from land your and from kindred your and from [the] household of father your to the land which I will show you.
El Señor dijo a Abram: “Deja tu país, tus parientes y la casa de tu padre, y vete a la tierra que te mostraré.
2 So I may make you into a nation great and I will bless you and I will make great name your and you be a blessing.
Haré de ti una gran nación. Te bendeciré y engrandeceré tu nombre. Serás una bendición.
3 So let me bless [those who] bless you and [one who] disdains you I will curse and they will be blessed by you all [the] clans of the earth.
Bendeciré a los que te bendigan y maldeciré a los que te traten con desprecio. Todas las familias de la tierra serán bendecidas por ti”.
4 And he went Abram just as he had said to him Yahweh and he went with him Lot and Abram [was] a son of five years and seventy year[s] when came out he from Haran.
Así que Abram se fue, como Yahvé le había dicho. Lot lo acompañó. Abram tenía setenta y cinco años cuando partió de Harán.
5 And he took Abram Sarai wife his and Lot [the] son of brother his and all possession[s] their which they had accumulated and the person[s] whom they had acquired in Haran and they went out to go [the] land of towards Canaan and they came [the] land of towards Canaan.
Abram tomó a Sarai, su esposa, a Lot, el hijo de su hermano, todas las posesiones que habían reunido y el pueblo que habían adquirido en Harán, y se fueron a la tierra de Canaán. Entraron en la tierra de Canaán.
6 And he passed Abram in the land to [the] place of Shechem to [the] great tree of Moreh and the Canaanite[s] then [was] in the land.
Abram pasó por la tierra hasta el lugar de Siquem, hasta la encina de Moreh. En ese momento, los cananeos estaban en la tierra.
7 And he appeared Yahweh to Abram and he said to offspring your I will give the land this and he built there an altar to Yahweh who had appeared to him.
Yahvé se le apareció a Abram y le dijo: “Le daré esta tierra a tu descendencia”. Allí construyó un altar a Yahvé, que se le había aparecido.
8 And he moved on from there the hill country towards from [the] east of Beth-el and he pitched (tent his *Q(K)*) Beth-el [was] from [the] west and Ai [was] from [the] east and he built there an altar to Yahweh and he called on [the] name of Yahweh.
Salió de allí para ir a la montaña que está al este de Betel y acampó, teniendo Betel al oeste y Hai al este. Allí construyó un altar a Yahvé e invocó el nombre de Yahvé.
9 And he journeyed Abram going and journeying the south towards.
Abram siguió viajando, todavía en dirección al sur.
10 And it was a famine in the land and he went down Abram Egypt towards to sojourn there for [was] heavy the famine in the land.
Hubo hambre en la tierra. Abram bajó a Egipto para vivir como extranjero allí, porque el hambre era grave en la tierra.
11 And it was just as he drew near to enter Egypt and he said to Sarai wife his here! please I know that [are] a woman beautiful of appearance you.
Cuando estuvo a punto de entrar en Egipto, le dijo a Sarai, su esposa: “Mira ahora, sé que eres una mujer hermosa de ver.
12 And it will be that they will see you the Egyptians and they will say [is] wife his this and they will kill me and you they will let live.
Sucederá que cuando los egipcios te vean, dirán: ‘Esta es su mujer’. A mí me matarán, pero a ti te salvarán viva.
13 Say please [are] sister my you so that it may go well for me for sake of you and it will live life my on account of you.
Por favor, di que eres mi hermana, para que me vaya bien por ti y para que mi alma viva gracias a ti.”
14 And it was when entered Abram Egypt and they saw the Egyptians the woman that [was] beautiful she very.
Cuando Abram llegó a Egipto, los egipcios vieron que la mujer era muy hermosa.
15 And they saw her [the] officials of Pharaoh and they praised her to Pharaoh and she was taken the woman [the] house of Pharaoh.
Los príncipes del faraón la vieron y la alabaron ante el faraón; y la mujer fue llevada a la casa del faraón.
16 And to Abram he did good for sake of her and it be[longed] to him sheep and cattle and [male] donkeys and [male] servants and female servants and female donkeys and camels.
Este trató bien a Abram por causa de ella. Tuvo ovejas, ganado, asnos machos, siervos machos, siervas hembras, asnos hembras y camellos.
17 And he struck Yahweh - Pharaoh plagues great and house his on [the] matter of Sarai [the] wife of Abram.
El Señor afligió al faraón y a su casa con grandes plagas a causa de Sarai, la esposa de Abram.
18 And he summoned Pharaoh Abram and he said what? this have you done to me why? not did you tell to me that [was] wife your she.
El faraón llamó a Abram y le dijo: “¿Qué es esto que me has hecho? ¿Por qué no me dijiste que era tu mujer?
19 Why? did you say [is] sister my she and I took her for myself to a wife and now here! wife your take [her] and go.
¿Por qué dijiste: ‘Es mi hermana’, para que la tomara por esposa? Ahora, pues, ve a tu mujer, tómala y vete”.
20 And he commanded on him Pharaoh men and they sent away him and wife his and all that [belonged] to him.
El faraón ordenó a los hombres que se ocuparan de él, y lo escoltaron con su mujer y todo lo que tenía.
