Genesis 12
1 And he said Yahweh to Abram go for yourself from land your and from kindred your and from [the] household of father your to the land which I will show you.
Or l'Eternel avait dit à Abram: Sors de ton pays, et d'avec ta parenté, et de la maison de ton père, [et viens] au pays que je te montrerai.
2 So I may make you into a nation great and I will bless you and I will make great name your and you be a blessing.
Et je te ferai devenir une grande nation, et te bénirai, et je rendrai ton nom grand, et tu seras béni.
3 So let me bless [those who] bless you and [one who] disdains you I will curse and they will be blessed by you all [the] clans of the earth.
Je bénirai ceux qui te béniront, et je maudirai ceux qui te maudiront; et toutes les familles de la terre seront bénies en toi.
4 And he went Abram just as he had said to him Yahweh and he went with him Lot and Abram [was] a son of five years and seventy year[s] when came out he from Haran.
Abram donc partit, comme l'Eternel lui avait dit, et Lot alla avec lui; et Abram était âgé de soixante et quinze ans, quand il sortit de Caran.
5 And he took Abram Sarai wife his and Lot [the] son of brother his and all possession[s] their which they had accumulated and the person[s] whom they had acquired in Haran and they went out to go [the] land of towards Canaan and they came [the] land of towards Canaan.
Abram prit aussi Saraï sa femme, et Lot fils de son frère, et tout leur bien, qu'ils avaient acquis, et les personnes qu'ils avaient eues à Caran; et ils partirent pour venir au pays de Canaan, auquel ils entrèrent.
6 And he passed Abram in the land to [the] place of Shechem to [the] great tree of Moreh and the Canaanite[s] then [was] in the land.
Et Abram passa au travers de ce pays-là jusqu'au lieu de Sichem, [et] jusqu'en la plaine de Moré; et les Cananéens étaient alors dans ce pays-là.
7 And he appeared Yahweh to Abram and he said to offspring your I will give the land this and he built there an altar to Yahweh who had appeared to him.
Et l'Eternel apparut à Abram, et lui dit: Je donnerai ce pays à ta postérité. Et Abram bâtit là un autel à l'Eternel qui lui était apparu.
8 And he moved on from there the hill country towards from [the] east of Beth-el and he pitched (tent his *Q(K)*) Beth-el [was] from [the] west and Ai [was] from [the] east and he built there an altar to Yahweh and he called on [the] name of Yahweh.
Et il se transporta de là vers la montagne, qui est à l'Orient de Béthel, et y tendit ses tentes, ayant Béthel à l'Occident, et Haï à l'Orient; et il bâtit là un autel à l'Eternel, et invoqua le nom de l'Eternel.
9 And he journeyed Abram going and journeying the south towards.
Puis Abram partit [de là], marchant et s'avançant vers le Midi.
10 And it was a famine in the land and he went down Abram Egypt towards to sojourn there for [was] heavy the famine in the land.
Mais la famine étant survenue dans le pays, Abram descendit en Egypte pour s'y retirer; car la famine était grande au pays.
11 And it was just as he drew near to enter Egypt and he said to Sarai wife his here! please I know that [are] a woman beautiful of appearance you.
Et il arriva comme il était près d'entrer en Egypte, qu'il dit à Saraï, sa femme: Voici, je sais que tu es une fort belle femme;
12 And it will be that they will see you the Egyptians and they will say [is] wife his this and they will kill me and you they will let live.
C'est pourquoi il arrivera que quand les Egyptiens t'auront vue, ils diront: C'est la femme de cet homme, et ils me tueront, mais ils te laisseront vivre.
13 Say please [are] sister my you so that it may go well for me for sake of you and it will live life my on account of you.
[Dis donc], je te prie, que tu es ma sœur, afin que je sois bien traité à cause de toi, et que, par ton moyen ma vie soit préservée.
14 And it was when entered Abram Egypt and they saw the Egyptians the woman that [was] beautiful she very.
Il arriva donc qu'aussitôt qu'Abram fut venu en Egypte, les Egyptiens virent que cette femme était fort belle.
15 And they saw her [the] officials of Pharaoh and they praised her to Pharaoh and she was taken the woman [the] house of Pharaoh.
Les principaux de la cour de Pharaon la virent aussi, et la louèrent devant lui, et elle fut enlevée [pour être menée] dans la maison de Pharaon.
16 And to Abram he did good for sake of her and it be[longed] to him sheep and cattle and [male] donkeys and [male] servants and female servants and female donkeys and camels.
Lequel fit du bien à Abram, à cause d'elle; de sorte qu'il en eut des brebis, des bœufs, des ânes, des serviteurs, des servantes, des ânesses, et des chameaux.
17 And he struck Yahweh - Pharaoh plagues great and house his on [the] matter of Sarai [the] wife of Abram.
Mais l'Eternel frappa de grandes plaies Pharaon et sa maison, à cause de Saraï femme d'Abram.
18 And he summoned Pharaoh Abram and he said what? this have you done to me why? not did you tell to me that [was] wife your she.
Alors Pharaon appela Abram, et lui dit: Qu'est-ce que tu m'as fait? pourquoi ne m'as-tu pas déclaré que c'était ta femme?
19 Why? did you say [is] sister my she and I took her for myself to a wife and now here! wife your take [her] and go.
Pourquoi as-tu dit, c'est ma sœur? car je l'avais prise pour ma femme; mais maintenant, voici ta femme, prends-la, et t'en va.
20 And he commanded on him Pharaoh men and they sent away him and wife his and all that [belonged] to him.
Et Pharaon ayant donné ordre à ses gens, ils le conduisirent, lui, sa femme, et tout ce qui était à lui.
