< Genesis 12 >

1 And he said Yahweh to Abram go for yourself from land your and from kindred your and from [the] household of father your to the land which I will show you.

2 So I may make you into a nation great and I will bless you and I will make great name your and you be a blessing.

3 So let me bless [those who] bless you and [one who] disdains you I will curse and they will be blessed by you all [the] clans of the earth.
Te phoeiah nang yoe aka then sak rhoek te a yoe ka then sak vetih nang aka kosinah te khaw thae ka phoei ni. Nang kong ah diklai huiko boeih a yoethen uh ni,” a ti nah.
4 And he went Abram just as he had said to him Yahweh and he went with him Lot and Abram [was] a son of five years and seventy year[s] when came out he from Haran.
Te dongah BOEIPA loh anih taengah a thui bangla Abram a caeh hatah Lot khaw anih taengah cet van. Tedae Abram Haran lamkah a caeh vaengah kum sawmrhih neh kum nga lo ca coeng.
5 And he took Abram Sarai wife his and Lot [the] son of brother his and all possession[s] their which they had accumulated and the person[s] whom they had acquired in Haran and they went out to go [the] land of towards Canaan and they came [the] land of towards Canaan.
Abram loh a yuu Sarai te khaw, a maya capa Lot te khaw, khuehtawn a dang uh boeih te khaw, Haran ah a dang hinglu te khaw a khuen. Te phoeiah Kanaan khohmuen la caeh ham hlah uh tih Kanaan khohmuen te a paan uh.
6 And he passed Abram in the land to [the] place of Shechem to [the] great tree of Moreh and the Canaanite[s] then [was] in the land.

7 And he appeared Yahweh to Abram and he said to offspring your I will give the land this and he built there an altar to Yahweh who had appeared to him.

8 And he moved on from there the hill country towards from [the] east of Beth-el and he pitched (tent his *Q(K)*) Beth-el [was] from [the] west and Ai [was] from [the] east and he built there an altar to Yahweh and he called on [the] name of Yahweh.

9 And he journeyed Abram going and journeying the south towards.
Te phoeiah Abram te aka puen uh ham cet tih Negev la puen uh.
10 And it was a famine in the land and he went down Abram Egypt towards to sojourn there for [was] heavy the famine in the land.
Tedae khohmuen ah khokha a om dongah Abram te Egypt la cet. Te la a bakuep akhaw khohmuen ah khokha te a nah dongah ni.
11 And it was just as he drew near to enter Egypt and he said to Sarai wife his here! please I know that [are] a woman beautiful of appearance you.
Tedae Egypt la kun ham a yoei vaengah a yuu Sarai taengah, “Na mueimae sakthen nu tila ka ming coeng ne.
12 And it will be that they will see you the Egyptians and they will say [is] wife his this and they will kill me and you they will let live.
Te dongah Egypt rhoek loh nang te m'hmuh uh vaengah, 'Anih yuu ni he,’ a ti uh ni. Te vaengah kai n'ngawn uh vetih nang te n'hing sak uh ni he.
13 Say please [are] sister my you so that it may go well for me for sake of you and it will live life my on account of you.
Namah te kai ngannu la thui mai. Te daengah ni nang kong neh kai ham khaw thuem vetih nang kong ah ka hinglu khaw a hing eh?,” a ti nah.
14 And it was when entered Abram Egypt and they saw the Egyptians the woman that [was] beautiful she very.
Abram Egypt la kun tih Egypt loh a hmuh uh vaengah a yuu te a sakthen tangkik.
15 And they saw her [the] officials of Pharaoh and they praised her to Pharaoh and she was taken the woman [the] house of Pharaoh.
Pharaoh kah mangpa rhoek loh anih te a hmuh uh vaengah Pharaoh ham anih te a thangthen uh. Te dongah huta te Pharaoh im la a khuen uh.
16 And to Abram he did good for sake of her and it be[longed] to him sheep and cattle and [male] donkeys and [male] servants and female servants and female donkeys and camels.
Anih rhang neh Abram ham khaw then tih tu khaw saelhung khaw, laak khaw, salpa khaw, salnu khaw, laak tal khaw, kalauk khaw Abram taengla boeih kun.
17 And he struck Yahweh - Pharaoh plagues great and house his on [the] matter of Sarai [the] wife of Abram.
Tedae Abram yuu Sarai kah dumlai kongah Pharaoh neh anih imkhui te BOEIPA loh a nah la lucik neh a vuek.
18 And he summoned Pharaoh Abram and he said what? this have you done to me why? not did you tell to me that [was] wife your she.
Te dongah Pharaoh loh Abram te a khue tih, “Hekah he ba ham lae kai taengah na saii. Balae tih anih he namah yuu tila kai taengah na puen pawh?
19 Why? did you say [is] sister my she and I took her for myself to a wife and now here! wife your take [her] and go.
Balae tih, anih he ka ngannu na ti. Te dongah ni anih he ka yuu la kamah taengah ka loh. Tedae na yuu he lo lamtah cet laeh,” a ti nah.
20 And he commanded on him Pharaoh men and they sent away him and wife his and all that [belonged] to him.
Te dongah anih ham Pharaoh loh a hlang rhoek te a uen tih, Abram khaw, a yuu khaw, a taengkah aka om boeih te khaw a tueih uh.
