< Genesis 10 >

1 And these [are] [the] accounts of [the] sons of Noah Shem Ham and Japheth and they were born to them sons after the flood.
Hæ sunt generationes filiorum Noe, Sem, Cham, et Iapheth: natique sunt eis filii post diluvium.
2 [the] sons of Japheth [were] Gomer and Magog and Madai and Javan and Tubal and Meshech and Tiras.
Filii Iapheth: Gomer, et Magog, et Madai, et Iavan, et Thubal, et Mosoch, et Thiras.
3 And [the] sons of Gomer [were] Ashkenaz and Riphath and Togarmah.
Porro filii Gomer: Ascenez et Riphath et Thogorma.
4 And [the] sons of Javan [were] Elishah and Tarshish Kittim and Dodanim.
Filii autem Iavan: Elisa et Tharsis, Cetthim et Dodanim.
5 From these they separated [the] coastlands of the nations in own lands their each to own language its to clans their in nations their.
Ab his divisæ sunt insulæ Gentium in regionibus suis, unusquisque secundum linguam suam et familias suas in nationibus suis.
6 And [the] sons of Ham [were] Cush and Mizraim and Put and Canaan.
Filii autem Cham: Chus, et Mesraim, et Phuth, et Chanaan.
7 And [the] sons of Cush [were] Seba and Havilah and Sabtah and Raamah and Sabteca and [the] sons of Raamah [were] Sheba and Dedan.
Filii Chus: Saba, et Hevila, et Sabatha, et Regma, et Sabatacha. Filii Regma: Saba, et Dadan.
8 And Cush he fathered Nimrod he he began to be a mighty [man] on the earth.
Porro Chus genuit Nemrod: ipse cœpit esse potens in terra,
9 He he was a mighty [man] of hunting before Yahweh there-fore it is said like Nimrod a mighty [man] of hunting before Yahweh.
et erat robustus venator coram Domino. Ob hoc exivit proverbium: Quasi Nemrod robustus venator coram Domino.
10 And it was [the] beginning of kingdom his Babel and Erech and Akkad and Calneh in [the] land of Shinar.
Fuit autem principium regni eius Babylon, et Arach, et Achad, et Chalanne, in terra Sennaar.
11 From the land that he went forth Assyria and he built Nineveh and Rehoboth-Ir and Calah.
De terra illa egressus est Assur, et ædificavit Niniven, et plateas civitatis, et Chale.
12 And Resen between Nineveh and between Calah that [is] the city great.
Resen quoque inter Niniven et Chale: hæc est civitas magna.
13 And Mizraim he fathered [the] Ludites and [the] Anamites and [the] Lehabites and [the] Naphtuhites.
At vero Mesraim genuit Ludim, et Anamim, et Laabim, Nephthuim,
14 And [the] Pathrusites and [the] Casluhites where they came out from there [the] Philistines and [the] Caphtorites.
et Phetrusim, et Chasluim: de quibus egressi sunt Philisthiim et Caphtorim.
15 And Canaan he fathered Sidon firstborn his and Heth.
Chanaan autem genuit Sidonem primogenitum suum, Hethæum,
16 And the Jebusite[s] and the Amorite[s] and the Girgashite[s].
et Iebusæum, et Amorrhæum, Gergesæum,
17 And the Hivite[s] and the Arkite[s] and the Sinite[s].
Hevæum, et Aracæum: Sinæum,
18 And the Arvadite[s] and the Zemarite[s] and the Hamathite[s] and after they were scattered [the] clans of the Canaanite[s].
et Aradium, Samaræum et Amathæum: et post hæc disseminati sunt populi Chananæorum.
19 And it was [the] border of the Canaanite[s] from Sidon going you Gerar towards to Gaza going you Sodom towards and Gomorrah and Admah and Zeboiim to Lasha.
Factique sunt termini Chanaan venientibus a Sidone Geraram usque Gazam, donec ingrediaris Sodomam et Gomorrham, et Adamam, et Seboim usque Lesa.
20 These [were] [the] sons of Ham to clans their to languages their in lands their in nations their.
Hi sunt filii Cham in cognationibus, et linguis, et generationibus, terrisque et gentibus suis.
21 And to Shem was born also he [the] father of all [the] sons of Eber [the] brother of Japheth old.
De Sem quoque nati sunt, patre omnium filiorum Heber, fratre Iapheth maiore.
22 [the] sons of Shem [were] Elam and Asshur and Arphaxad and Lud and Aram.
Filii Sem: Ælam et Assur, et Arphaxad, et Lud, et Aram.
23 And [the] sons of Aram [were] Uz and Hul and Gether and Mash.
Filii Aram: Us, et Hul, et Gether, et Mes.
24 And Arphaxad he fathered Shelah and Shelah he fathered Eber.
At vero Arphaxad genuit Sale, de quo ortus est Heber.
25 And to Eber was born two sons [the] name of the one [was] Peleg for in days his was divided the earth and [the] name of brother his [was] Joktan.
Natique sunt Heber filii duo: nomen uni Phaleg, eo quod in diebus eius divisa sit terra: et nomen fratris eius Iectan.
26 And Joktan he fathered Almodad and Sheleph and Hazarmaveth and Jerah.
Qui Iectan genuit Elmodad, et Saleph, et Asarmoth, Iare,
27 And Hadoram and Uzal and Diklah.
et Aduram, et Uzal, et Decla,
28 And Obal and Abimael and Sheba.
et Ebal, et Abimael, Saba,
29 And Ophir and Havilah and Jobab all these [were] [the] sons of Joktan.
et Ophir, et Hevila, et Iobab. Omnes isti, filii Iectan.
30 And it was dwelling place their from Mesha going you Sephar towards [the] hill country of the east.
Et facta est habitatio eorum de Messa pergentibus usque Sephar montem orientalem.
31 These [were] [the] sons of Shem to clans their to languages their in lands their to nations their.
Isti filii Sem secundum cognationes et linguas, et regiones in gentibus suis.
32 These [were] [the] clans of [the] sons of Noah to descendants their in nations their and from these they separated the nations on the earth after the flood.
Hæ familiæ Noe iuxta populos et nationes suas. Ab his divisæ sunt gentes in terra post diluvium.
