Genesis 10
1 And these [are] [the] accounts of [the] sons of Noah Shem Ham and Japheth and they were born to them sons after the flood.
Inilah keturunan anak-anak Nuh, yaitu Sem, Yafet dan Ham. Sesudah banjir, ketiganya mendapat anak-anak lelaki.
2 [the] sons of Japheth [were] Gomer and Magog and Madai and Javan and Tubal and Meshech and Tiras.
Anak-anak Yafet ialah Gomer, Magog, Madai, Yawan, Tubal, Mesekh dan Tiras.
3 And [the] sons of Gomer [were] Ashkenaz and Riphath and Togarmah.
Keturunan Gomer adalah penduduk Askenas, Rifat dan Togarma.
4 And [the] sons of Javan [were] Elishah and Tarshish Kittim and Dodanim.
Keturunan Yawan adalah penduduk Elisa, Spanyol, Siprus dan Rodes.
5 From these they separated [the] coastlands of the nations in own lands their each to own language its to clans their in nations their.
Mereka leluhur bangsa-bangsa yang tinggal di sepanjang pantai dan di pulau-pulau. Itulah semua keturunan Yafet. Setiap bangsa dan suku tinggal di negerinya masing-masing, dan mempunyai bahasanya sendiri.
6 And [the] sons of Ham [were] Cush and Mizraim and Put and Canaan.
Anak-anak Ham ialah Kus, Mesir, Libia dan Kanaan.
7 And [the] sons of Cush [were] Seba and Havilah and Sabtah and Raamah and Sabteca and [the] sons of Raamah [were] Sheba and Dedan.
Keturunan Kus ialah penduduk Seba, Hawila, Sabta, Raema dan Sabtekha. Keturunan Raema ialah penduduk Syeba dan Dedan.
8 And Cush he fathered Nimrod he he began to be a mighty [man] on the earth.
Kus mempunyai anak laki-laki bernama Nimrod yang menjadi orang perkasa pertama di dunia.
9 He he was a mighty [man] of hunting before Yahweh there-fore it is said like Nimrod a mighty [man] of hunting before Yahweh.
Dengan pertolongan TUHAN dia menjadi pemburu yang ulung. Sebab itu orang biasa berkata, "Semoga TUHAN menjadikan engkau seorang pemburu yang ulung seperti Nimrod."
10 And it was [the] beginning of kingdom his Babel and Erech and Akkad and Calneh in [the] land of Shinar.
Mula-mula kerajaannya meliputi Babel, Erekh, dan Akad, ketiga-tiganya di Babilonia.
11 From the land that he went forth Assyria and he built Nineveh and Rehoboth-Ir and Calah.
Dari sana ia pergi ke Asyur, lalu mendirikan kota Niniwe, Rehobot-Ir, Kalah,
12 And Resen between Nineveh and between Calah that [is] the city great.
dan Resen yang terletak di antara Niniwe dan Kalah. Semuanya itu adalah kota-kota besar.
13 And Mizraim he fathered [the] Ludites and [the] Anamites and [the] Lehabites and [the] Naphtuhites.
Keturunan Mesir adalah penduduk Lidia, Anamim, Lehabim, Naftuhim,
14 And [the] Pathrusites and [the] Casluhites where they came out from there [the] Philistines and [the] Caphtorites.
Patrusim, Kasluhim, dan Kaftorim. Bangsa Kasluhim itu leluhur bangsa Filistin.
15 And Canaan he fathered Sidon firstborn his and Heth.
Anak-anak Kanaan, ialah Sidon, yang sulung, dan Het.
16 And the Jebusite[s] and the Amorite[s] and the Girgashite[s].
Kanaan juga leluhur bangsa Yebusi, Amori, Girgasi,
17 And the Hivite[s] and the Arkite[s] and the Sinite[s].
orang Hewi, Arki, Sini,
18 And the Arvadite[s] and the Zemarite[s] and the Hamathite[s] and after they were scattered [the] clans of the Canaanite[s].
Arwadi, Semari dan Hamati. Suku-suku bangsa Kanaan itu tersebar jauh,
19 And it was [the] border of the Canaanite[s] from Sidon going you Gerar towards to Gaza going you Sodom towards and Gomorrah and Admah and Zeboiim to Lasha.
sehingga batas-batas negeri mereka meluas dari Sidon ke selatan menuju Gerar, sampai dekat Gaza, dan ke timur menuju Sodom, Gomora, Adma, dan Zeboim, sampai dekat Lasa.
20 These [were] [the] sons of Ham to clans their to languages their in lands their in nations their.
Itulah semua keturunan Ham. Setiap bangsa dan suku tinggal di negerinya masing-masing dan mempunyai bahasanya sendiri.
21 And to Shem was born also he [the] father of all [the] sons of Eber [the] brother of Japheth old.
Sem, abang Yafet, adalah leluhur semua bangsa Ibrani.
22 [the] sons of Shem [were] Elam and Asshur and Arphaxad and Lud and Aram.
Anak-anak Sem ialah Elam, Asyur, Arpakhsad, Lud dan Aram.
23 And [the] sons of Aram [were] Uz and Hul and Gether and Mash.
Keturunan Aram ialah penduduk Us, Hul, Geter dan Mas.
24 And Arphaxad he fathered Shelah and Shelah he fathered Eber.
Arpakhsad ayah Selah. Dan Selah ayah Eber.
25 And to Eber was born two sons [the] name of the one [was] Peleg for in days his was divided the earth and [the] name of brother his [was] Joktan.
Eber mempunyai dua anak laki-laki; yang pertama bernama Peleg, karena pada zamannya bangsa-bangsa di dunia menjadi terbagi-bagi; yang kedua bernama Yoktan.
26 And Joktan he fathered Almodad and Sheleph and Hazarmaveth and Jerah.
Keturunan Yoktan adalah penduduk Almodad, Selef, Hazar-Mawet dan Yerah,
27 And Hadoram and Uzal and Diklah.
Hadoram, Uzal, Dikla,
28 And Obal and Abimael and Sheba.
Obal, Abimael, Syeba,
29 And Ophir and Havilah and Jobab all these [were] [the] sons of Joktan.
Ofir, Hawila dan Yobab. Semuanya itu keturunan Yoktan.
30 And it was dwelling place their from Mesha going you Sephar towards [the] hill country of the east.
Daerah tempat tinggal mereka meluas dari Mesa ke Sefar, yaitu daerah pegunungan di sebelah timur.
31 These [were] [the] sons of Shem to clans their to languages their in lands their to nations their.
Itulah semua keturunan Sem. Setiap bangsa dan suku tinggal di negerinya masing-masing dan mempunyai bahasanya sendiri.
32 These [were] [the] clans of [the] sons of Noah to descendants their in nations their and from these they separated the nations on the earth after the flood.
Semuanya itu keturunan Nuh, bangsa demi bangsa, menurut garis keturunan mereka masing-masing. Merekalah yang menurunkan bangsa-bangsa di dunia ini sesudah banjir besar itu.
