Genesis 10
1 And these [are] [the] accounts of [the] sons of Noah Shem Ham and Japheth and they were born to them sons after the flood.
এই হল নোহের ছেলে শেম, হাম ও যেফতের বিবরণ, যারা স্বয়ং বন্যার পর সন্তান লাভ করলেন।
2 [the] sons of Japheth [were] Gomer and Magog and Madai and Javan and Tubal and Meshech and Tiras.
যেফতের ছেলেরা: গোমর, মাগোগ, মাদয়, যবন, তূবল, মেশক ও তীরস।
3 And [the] sons of Gomer [were] Ashkenaz and Riphath and Togarmah.
গোমরের ছেলেরা: অস্কিনস, রীফৎ, এবং তোগর্ম।
4 And [the] sons of Javan [were] Elishah and Tarshish Kittim and Dodanim.
যবনের ছেলেরা: ইলীশা, তর্শীশ, কিত্তীম এবং রোদানীম।
5 From these they separated [the] coastlands of the nations in own lands their each to own language its to clans their in nations their.
(এদের থেকেই সমুদ্র-উপকূল নিবাসী লোকেরা, প্রত্যেকে তাদের নিজস্ব ভাষা সমেত নিজেদের বংশানুসারে, তাদের এলাকায় ছড়িয়ে পড়েছিল।)
6 And [the] sons of Ham [were] Cush and Mizraim and Put and Canaan.
হামের ছেলেরা: কূশ, মিশর, পূট ও কনান।
7 And [the] sons of Cush [were] Seba and Havilah and Sabtah and Raamah and Sabteca and [the] sons of Raamah [were] Sheba and Dedan.
কূশের ছেলেরা: সবা, হবীলা, সব্তা, রয়মা ও সব্তেকা। রয়মার ছেলেরা: শিবা ও দদান।
8 And Cush he fathered Nimrod he he began to be a mighty [man] on the earth.
কূশ সেই নিম্রোদের বাবা, যিনি পৃথিবীতে এক বলশালী যোদ্ধা হয়ে উঠলেন।
9 He he was a mighty [man] of hunting before Yahweh there-fore it is said like Nimrod a mighty [man] of hunting before Yahweh.
সদাপ্রভুর সামনে তিনি বলশালী এক শিকারি হলেন; তাই বলা হয়ে থাকে, “সদাপ্রভুর সামনে নিম্রোদের মতো বলশালী এক শিকারি।”
10 And it was [the] beginning of kingdom his Babel and Erech and Akkad and Calneh in [the] land of Shinar.
শিনারে অবস্থিত ব্যাবিলন, এরক, অক্কদ, ও কল্নী তাঁর রাজ্যের মূলকেন্দ্র হল।
11 From the land that he went forth Assyria and he built Nineveh and Rehoboth-Ir and Calah.
সেই দেশ থেকে তিনি সেই আসিরিয়া দেশে গেলেন, যেখানে তিনি নীনবী, রহোবোৎ ঈর, কেলহ
12 And Resen between Nineveh and between Calah that [is] the city great.
ও সেই রেষণ নগরটি গড়ে তুললেন যা নীনবী ও কেলহের মাঝখানে অবস্থিত; সেটিই সেই মহানগর।
13 And Mizraim he fathered [the] Ludites and [the] Anamites and [the] Lehabites and [the] Naphtuhites.
মিশর ছিলেন সেই লূদীয়, অনামীয়, লহাবীয়, নপ্তুহীয়,
14 And [the] Pathrusites and [the] Casluhites where they came out from there [the] Philistines and [the] Caphtorites.
পথ্রোষীয়, কস্লূহীয় (যাদের থেকে ফিলিস্তিনীরা উৎপন্ন হয়েছে) ও কপ্তোরীয়দের বাবা।
15 And Canaan he fathered Sidon firstborn his and Heth.
কনান ছিলেন তাঁর বড়ো ছেলে সীদোনের, ও হিত্তীয়,
16 And the Jebusite[s] and the Amorite[s] and the Girgashite[s].
যিবূষীয়, ইমোরীয়, গির্গাশীয়,
17 And the Hivite[s] and the Arkite[s] and the Sinite[s].
হিব্বীয়, অর্কীয়, সীনীয়,
18 And the Arvadite[s] and the Zemarite[s] and the Hamathite[s] and after they were scattered [the] clans of the Canaanite[s].
অর্বদীয়, সমারীয় ও হমাতীয়দের বাবা। (পরবর্তীকালে কনানীয় বংশ ইতস্তত ছড়িয়ে পড়ল
19 And it was [the] border of the Canaanite[s] from Sidon going you Gerar towards to Gaza going you Sodom towards and Gomorrah and Admah and Zeboiim to Lasha.
এবং কনানের সীমানা সীদোন থেকে গরারের দিকে গাজা পর্যন্ত, ও পরে লাশার দিকে সদোম, ঘমোরা, অদ্মা, ও সবোয়ীম পর্যন্ত বিস্তৃত হল)
20 These [were] [the] sons of Ham to clans their to languages their in lands their in nations their.
তাদের এলাকা ও জাতি ধরে এরাই হল বংশ ও ভাষা অনুসারে হামের সন্তান।
21 And to Shem was born also he [the] father of all [the] sons of Eber [the] brother of Japheth old.
সেই শেমেরও কয়েকটি ছেলে জন্মাল, যাঁর দাদা ছিলেন যেফৎ; শেম হলেন এবরের সব সন্তানের পূর্বপুরুষ।
22 [the] sons of Shem [were] Elam and Asshur and Arphaxad and Lud and Aram.
শেমের ছেলেরা: এলম, অশূর, অর্ফক্ষদ, লূদ ও অরাম।
23 And [the] sons of Aram [were] Uz and Hul and Gether and Mash.
অরামের ছেলেরা: ঊষ, হূল, গেথর, ও মেশক।
24 And Arphaxad he fathered Shelah and Shelah he fathered Eber.
অর্ফক্ষদ হলেন শেলহের বাবা, এবং শেলহ এবরের বাবা।
25 And to Eber was born two sons [the] name of the one [was] Peleg for in days his was divided the earth and [the] name of brother his [was] Joktan.
এবরের দুটি ছেলের জন্ম হল: একজনের নাম দেওয়া হল পেলগ, কারণ তাঁর সময়কালেই পৃথিবী বিভিন্ন ভাষাবাদী জাতির আধারে বিভক্ত হল; তাঁর ভাইয়ের নাম দেওয়া হল যক্তন।
26 And Joktan he fathered Almodad and Sheleph and Hazarmaveth and Jerah.
যক্তন হলেন অলমোদদ, শেলফ, হৎসর্মাবৎ, যেরহ,
27 And Hadoram and Uzal and Diklah.
হদোরাম, ঊষল, দিক্ল,
28 And Obal and Abimael and Sheba.
ওবল, অবীমায়েল, শিবা,
29 And Ophir and Havilah and Jobab all these [were] [the] sons of Joktan.
ওফীর, হবীলা ও যোববের বাবা। তারা সবাই যক্তনের বংশধর ছিলেন।
30 And it was dwelling place their from Mesha going you Sephar towards [the] hill country of the east.
(পূর্বদিকের পার্বত্য দেশের যে এলাকায় তারা বসবাস করতেন, সেটি মেষা থেকে সফার পর্যন্ত বিস্তৃত ছিল)
31 These [were] [the] sons of Shem to clans their to languages their in lands their to nations their.
তাদের এলাকা ও জাতি ধরে বংশ ও ভাষা অনুসারে এরাই শেমের সন্তান।
32 These [were] [the] clans of [the] sons of Noah to descendants their in nations their and from these they separated the nations on the earth after the flood.
তাদের জাতিগুলির মধ্যে, বংশানুক্রমিকভাবে এরাই নোহের ছেলেদের বংশধর। বন্যার পর এদের থেকেই বিভিন্ন জাতি সমগ্র পৃথিবীতে ছড়িয়ে পড়ল।
