Galatians 1
1 Paul an apostle not from men nor through man but through Jesus Christ and God [the] Father the [One who] having raised Him out from [the] dead —
| פולוס השליח לא מבני אדם ולא על ידי בן אדם כי אם על ידי ישוע המשיח ואלהים האב אשר העירו מן המתים׃ |
2 and the with me myself all brothers To the churches of Galatia:
| וכל האחים אשר עמדי אל הקהלות אשר בגלטיא׃ |
3 Grace to you and peace from God Father of us and of [the] Lord Jesus Christ,
| חסד לכם ושלום מאת האלהים אבינו ומאת אדנינו ישוע המשיח׃ |
4 the [One who] having given Himself (for *NK(o)*) the sins of us, so that He may deliver us out of the age of which having come presently evil according to the will of the God and Father of us, (aiōn g165)
| אשר נתן את נפשו בעד חטאתינו לחלצנו מן העולם הרע הזה כרצון אלהינו אבינו׃ (aiōn g165) |
| אשר לו הכבוד לעולמי עולמים אמן׃ (aiōn g165) |
6 I am astonished that so soon you are deserting from the [One who] having called you in [the] grace of Christ to a different gospel
| תמה אני כי סרתם מהר מאחרי הקרא אתכם בחסד המשיח אל בשורה זרה׃ |
7 which not is another, only except some there are who are troubling you and are desiring to pervert the gospel of Christ.
| והיא איננה אחרת רק שיש אנשים העכרים אתכם וחפצים להפך את בשורת המשיח׃ |
8 But even if we ourselves or an angel out of heaven (shall evangelise *NK(o)*) to you contrary to what we evangelised to you, accursed he should be.
| אבל גם אנחנו או מלאך מן השמים אם יבוא לבשר אתכם בשורה מבלעדי זאת אשר בשרנו אתכם חרם יהיה׃ |
9 As we have said before, even now again I say, if anyone [to] you is evangelising contrary to what you received, accursed he should be.
| כמו שאמרנו כבר כן אמר עתה עוד הפעם איש כי יבשר אתכם בשורה מבלעדי אשר קבלתם חרם יהיה׃ |
10 Presently for of men do I seek approval or God? Or do I seek men to please? if (for *k*) yet men I were pleasing, of Christ a servant not then would I was being.
| ועתה המתרצה אנכי אל בני אדם אם אל האלהים או המבקש אנכי למצא חן בעיני בני אדם כי במצאי חן בעיני בני אדם לא אהיה עוד עבד המשיח׃ |
11 I make known (for *N(k)O*) to you, brothers, the gospel which having been evangelised by me that not it is according to man;
| אבל מודיע אני אתכם אחי כי הבשורה אשר בשרתי לא לפי דרך אדם היא׃ |
12 Neither for I myself from man received it (nor *NK(o)*) was I taught [it] but through a revelation of Jesus Christ.
| כי גם אנכי לא קבלתיה מאדם ולא למדוני אתה כי אם בחזיון ישוע המשיח׃ |
13 You have heard of for my way of life former in Judaism that beyond exceeding measure I was persecuting the church of God and was destroying it;
| כי הלא שמעתם את דרכי אשר התהלכתי מלפנים בין היהודים ואת אשר רדפתי על יתר את עדת אלהים ואבדתיה׃ |
14 And I was advancing in Judaism beyond many contemporaries in the countrymen of mine more abundantly zealous being of the fathers of mine traditions.
| ואהי הולך וחזק בדת היהודית על רבים מבני גילי בעמי בקנאתי הגדולה לקבלות אבותי׃ |
15 When however was pleased God the [One] having selected me from [the] womb of mother of mine and having called [me] through the grace of Him
| אך כאשר היה רצון האלהים אשר הבדיל אתי מרחם אמי ויקראני בחסדו׃ |
16 to reveal the Son of Him in me myself, that I may evangelise Him among the Gentiles, immediately not I consulted with flesh and with blood,
| לגלות בי את בנו שאבשרנו בגוים מיד לא נועצתי עם בשר ודם׃ |
17 nor did I go up to Jerusalem to the before me apostles, but I went away into Arabia and again returned to Damascus.
| גם לא עליתי ירושלים אל אשר היו שליחים לפני כי אם הלכתי לערב ומשם שבתי אל דמשק׃ |
18 Then after years three I went up to Jerusalem to make acquaintance with (Cephas *N(K)O*) and I remained with him days fifteen;
| אחרי כן מקץ שלש שנים עליתי ירושלים לראות את כיפא ואשב עמו חמשה עשר יום׃ |
19 Other however of the apostles none I saw, only except James the brother of the Lord.
| ואחר מן השליחים לא ראיתי זולתי את יעקב אחי אדנינו׃ |
20 In what now I write to you, behold before God that not I lie.
| ואשר אני כתב אליכם הנה נגד האלהים כי לא אכזב׃ |
21 Then I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;
| אחרי כן באתי אל גלילות סוריא וקיליקיא׃ |
22 I was then unknown by face to the churches of Judea that [are] in Christ,
| אבל קהלות יהודה אשר במשיח הנה לא ידעו את פני׃ |
23 Only however hearing they were that the [one] persecuting us formerly now is evangelising the faith which once he was destroying;
| רק זאת בלבד שמעו כי האיש ההוא אשר היה רדף אתנו מאז עתה הוא מבשר את האמונה אשר האבידה מלפנים׃ |
24 And they were glorifying in me myself God.
| ויהללו בי את האלהים׃ |
