Ezra 6
1 Then Darius king the he made a decree and they searched - in [the] house books the where treasures the [were] deposited there in Babylon.
Sesudah itu, sesuai perintah Raja Darius, diadakanlah penyelidikan terhadap arsip kerajaan yang disimpan di Babel.
2 And it was found in Ecbatana in citadel the which [is] in Media province the a scroll one and as follows it was written in midst its memorandum.
Kemudian sebuah gulungan ditemukan di benteng Ahmeta di provinsi Media. Keputusan dalam gulungan tersebut dituliskan pada surat balasan kepada para pejabat provinsi, yakni sebagai berikut:
3 In year one of Cyrus king the Cyrus king the he made a decree [the] house of God in Jerusalem house the let it be built a place which [they were] sacrificing sacrifices and foundations its [be] retained height its cubits sixty width its cubits sixty.
“Pada tahun pertama pemerintahannya, Raja Kores memerintahkan pembangunan rumah Allah di Yerusalem. Rumah itu harus dibangun kembali sebagai tempat untuk mempersembahkan kurban. Pondasinya harus diletakkan dengan kukuh. Tinggi bangunan itu dua puluh tujuh meter dan lebarnya dua puluh tujuh meter.
4 Rows of stone of rolling three and a row of timber new and expense the from [the] house of king the let it be given.
Bangunan itu harus dibuat dari batu-batu besar yang disusun secara berlapis. Setelah tiga lapisan batu diletakkan, di atasnya harus diletakkan lapisan kayu. Pembangunan ini akan dibiayai dengan kas kerajaan.
5 And also [the] vessels of [the] house of God of gold and silver which Nebuchadnezzar he brought out from temple the which [was] in Jerusalem and he carried to Babylon let them send back and let it go to temple the which [is] in Jerusalem to place its so you may deposit [them] in [the] house of God.
Semua perkakas dari emas dan perak yang diambil Raja Nebukadnezar dari rumah Allah di Yerusalem dan dibawa ke Babel harus dikembalikan ke Yerusalem. Semuanya harus dimasukkan ke dalam rumah Allah.”
6 Now O Tattenai [the] governor of [the] region beyond river the Shethar-Bozenai and associates their officials the who [are] in [the] region beyond river the far be! from there.
Selanjutnya surat balasan raja, “Oleh karena itu, Tatnai, gubernur Provinsi Sebelah Barat sungai Efrat, bersama dengan Syetar Boznai, dan semua pejabat lain: Biarkan mereka dan jauhilah proyek pembangunan itu!
7 Leave! [the] work of [the] house of God this [the] governor of Jews the and [the] elders of Jews the [the] house of God this let them build on place its.
Jangan mengganggu pembangunan rumah Allah. Biarlah rumah itu dibangun kembali di tempatnya semula, dan jangan menghalangi gubernur wilayah Yehuda dan pemimpin orang Yahudi dalam pembangunan itu.
8 And from me it is made a decree to whatever that you will do with [the] elders of Jews the these to build [the] house of God this and from [the] properti of king the which [is] [the] tribute of [the] region beyond river the diligently expense the let it be given to men the these that not to make to cease.
“Lagipula saya memutuskan bahwa kalian juga harus membantu para pemimpin Yahudi itu dalam membangun kembali rumah Allah. Kalian harus membayar penuh biaya pembangunan dengan menggunakan pajak yang terkumpul di provinsi kalian, agar pekerjaan itu tidak tertunda.
9 And whatever things needed and young of bulls and rams and lambs - for burnt offerings - to [the] God of heavens the wheat salt - wine and oil according to [the] word of priests the who [are] in Jerusalem it will be given to them day - by day that not negligence.
Tanyakanlah kepada imam-imam di Yerusalem untuk mengetahui berapa jumlah sapi jantan muda, domba jantan, dan anak-anak domba yang mereka butuhkan untuk kurban yang dibakar habis yang dipersembahkan kepada Allah Penguasa surga. Siapkan juga gandum, garam, anggur, dan minyak zaitun yang mereka butuhkan setiap hari. Semua itu harus diberikan kepada mereka hari demi hari, tanpa henti.
10 That they will be offering soothing offerings to [the] God of heavens the and praying for [the] life of king the and sons his.
Dengan demikian mereka dapat mempersembahkan kurban yang dibakar habis, yang harum kepada Allah Penguasa surga, serta mendoakan saya dan anak-anak saya.
11 And from me it is made a decree that every person who he will violate command the this let it be pulled away a beam from house his and [he will] be lifted up let him be impaled on it and house his a refuse-heap let it be made on this.
Di samping itu, saya memerintahkan bahwa jika ada orang yang tidak taat pada perintah ini, dia harus dihukum mati dengan cara ditancapkan pada balok kayu dari rumahnya sendiri. Rumahnya itu juga harus dijadikan timbunan sampah.
12 And God who he has caused to dwell name his there may he overthrow every king and people who - he will stretch out hand his to violate to destroy [the] house of God this which [is] in Jerusalem I Darius I make a decree diligently let it be done.
“Semoga Allah, yang memilih Yerusalem sebagai tempat-Nya disembah, akan menghancurkan raja atau bangsa mana pun yang menentang perintah ini dan yang mencoba menghancurkan rumah Allah. Saya, Raja Darius, sudah memberikan perintah ini. Laksanakanlah dengan sebaik-baiknya.”
13 Then Tattenai [the] governor of [the] region beyond river the Shethar-Bozenai and associates their before that he had sent Darius king the accordingly diligently they did.
Kemudian Gubernur Tatnai, Syetar Boznai, dan para pejabat segera melakukan persis sesuai perintah raja.
14 And [the] elders of Jews the [were] building and prospering by [the] prophesying of Haggai (prophet the *Q(K)*) and Zechariah [the] son of Iddo and they built and they finished according to [the] decree of [the] God of Israel and according to [the] decree of Cyrus and Darius and Artaxerxes [the] king of Persia.
Jadi para pemimpin Yahudi melanjutkan pekerjaan mereka, dan mereka sangat bersemangat karena khotbah nabi Hagai dan Zakaria anak Ido. Akhirnya pembangunan rumah Allah selesai, sesuai dengan perintah Allah Israel dan keputusan tiga raja Persia, yaitu Kores, Darius, dan Artasasta.
15 And it was brought forth house the this until day three of [the] month of Adar which it [was] year six of [the] reign of Darius king the.
Rumah itu selesai dibangun pada hari ketiga bulan Adar, pada tahun keenam pemerintahan Raja Darius.
16 And they made [the] people of Israel priests the and Levites the and [the] rest of [the] people of exile the [the] dedication of [the] house of God this with joy.
Rakyat Israel, para imam, orang Lewi, dan semua orang yang sudah pulang dari pembuangan di Babel merayakan peresmian rumah Allah dengan sukacita.
17 And they offered for [the] dedication of [the] house of God this bulls one hundred rams two hundred lambs four hundred and he-goats of goats (for a sin offering *Q(K)*) on all Israel two [plus] ten to [the] number of [the] tribes of Israel.
Dalam perayaan itu mereka mempersembahkan seratus ekor sapi jantan, dua ratus ekor domba, dan empat ratus ekor anak domba sebagai kurban sembelihan, juga dua belas kambing jantan sebagai kurban penghapus dosa, setiap ekor mewakili satu suku Israel.
18 And they appointed priests the in divisions their and Levites the in classes their over [the] service of God which [is] in Jerusalem according to [the] writing of [the] book of Moses.
Kemudian para imam dan orang-orang Lewi dibagi menjadi beberapa kelompok untuk melayani di rumah Allah di Yerusalem, sesuai dengan perintah yang tercatat dalam Kitab Musa.
19 And they celebrated [the] children of the exile the passover on [day] four-teen of the month the first.
Pada tanggal empat belas bulan pertama, orang-orang yang kembali dari pembuangan itu merayakan Paskah.
20 For they had purified themselves the priests and the Levites as one all of them [were] pure and they slaughtered the passover for all [the] children of the exile and for brothers their the priests and for themselves.
Semua imam dan orang Lewi sudah mengikuti upacara penyucian diri. Para pelayan dari suku Lewi menyembelih semua binatang kurban Paskah untuk seluruh keluarga yang sudah kembali dari pembuangan, juga untuk para imam dan diri mereka sendiri.
21 And they ate [the] people of Israel who had returned from the exile and every [one who] had separated himself from [the] uncleanness of [the] nations of the land to them to seek Yahweh [the] God of Israel.
Daging kurban itu dimakan oleh rakyat Israel yang sudah kembali dari pembuangan. Tetapi tidak semuanya mengikuti perayaan ini, hanya orang-orang yang bertekad untuk menyembah TUHAN Allah Israel, yaitu mereka yang menolak terlibat dalam cara hidup bangsa-bangsa kafir yang tinggal di tanah ini.
22 And they celebrated [the] feast of unleavened bread seven days with joy for - he had made rejoice them Yahweh and he had turned [the] heart of [the] king of Assyria towards them to make strong hands their in [the] work of [the] house of God [the] God of Israel.
Mereka merayakan hari raya Roti Tidak Beragi selama tujuh hari dengan bersukacita, karena TUHAN sudah mengubah sikap raja Asyur terhadap mereka sehingga raja mau membantu mereka membangun kembali rumah Allah Israel.
