Ezra 5

1 And he prophesied Haggai (prophet the *Q(K)*) and Zechariah [the] son of Iddo (prophets the *Q(k)*) to Jews the who [were] in Judah and in Jerusalem in [the] name of [the] God of Israel [who was] over them.

E o profeta Ageu, e Zacarias filho de Ido, profetas, profetizaram aos judeus que estavam em Judá e em Jerusalém, em nome do Deus de Israel, a eles.

2 Then they arose Zerubbabel [the] son of Shealtiel and Jeshua [the] son of Jozadak and they began to build [the] house of God which [is] in Jerusalem and [were] with them (prophets the *Q(k)*) of God supporting them.

Então se levantaram Zorobabel, filho de Sealtiel, e Jesua, filho de Jozadaque; e começaram a reconstruir a casa de Deus que está em Jerusalém; e com eles os profetas de Deus, que os ajudavam.

3 At it time the he came to them Tattenai [the] governor of [the] region beyond river the and Shethar-Bozenai and associates their and as follows [they were] saying to them who? did he make for you a decree house the this to build and structure the this to finish.

Naquele tempo veio a eles Tatenai, capitão da região além do rio, e Setar-Bozenai e seus companheiros, e lhes perguntaram assim: Quem vos deu ordem para reconstruir esta casa, e restaurar estes muros?

4 Then as follows we said to them what? [are] they [the] names of men the who this building the [are] building.

Então assim lhes dissemos quais eram os nomes dos homens que reconstruíam este edifício.

Mas os olhos de seu Deus estavam sobre os anciãos dos judeus, e não os impediram, até que a causa viesse a Dario; e então responderam por carta sobre isso.

Teor da carta que Tatenai, o governador além do rio, e Setar-Bozenai, e seus companheiros os afarsaquitas, que estavam além do rio, enviaram ao rei Dario.

Seja conhecido do rei, que fomos à província de Judeia, à casa do grande Deus, a qual é edificada com grandes pedras; e a madeira é posta nas paredes, e a obra se faz apressadamente, e tem sido próspera a em suas mãos.

9 Then we asked to elders the these as follows we said to them who? did he make for you a decree house the this to build and structure the this to finish.

Então perguntamos aos anciãos, dizendo-lhes assim: Quem vos deu ordem para reconstruir esta casa, e para restaurar estes muros?

10 And also names their we asked (to them *LA(bh)*) to make known to you that we will write [the] name of men the who [are] at heads their.

E também lhes perguntamos seus nomes para os informar a ti; para que pudéssemos escrever a ti os nomes dos homens que eram os seus líderes.

11 And as follows word the they sent back to us to say we they [are] servants his of [the] God of heavens the and earth the and [we are] building house the which it was built from [the] former time of this years many and a king of Israel great he built it and he finished it.

E nos deram esta resposta, dizendo: Nós somos servos de Deus do céu e da terra, e reconstruímos a casa que a muitos anos antes tinha sido construída, a qual um grande rei de Israel iniciou e terminou de construir.

12 But from that they enraged fathers our [the] God of heavens the he gave them in [the] hand of Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon (Chaldean the *Q(k)*) and house the this he destroyed it and people the he took into exile to Babylon.

Mas depois que nossos pais provocaram à ira o Deus dos céus, ele os entregou nas mãos de Nabucodonosor, rei de Babilônia, o caldeu, o qual destruiu esta casa, e transportou o povo para a Babilônia.

13 Nevertheless in year one of Cyrus king the of Babylon Cyrus king the he made a decree [the] house of God this to build.

Porém no primeiro ano de Ciro, rei da Babilônia, o rei Ciro fez um decreto para reconstruir esta casa de Deus.

14 And also vessels the of [the] house of God of gold and silver which Nebuchadnezzar he had brought out from temple the which [was] in Jerusalem and he carried them to temple the of Babylon he brought out them Cyrus king the from temple the of Babylon and they were given to Sheshbazzar name his whom governor he had made him.

E até os utensílios de ouro e de prata da casa de Deus, que Nabucodonosor tinha tomado do templo que estava em Jerusalém, e os tinha posto no templo da Babilônia, o rei Ciro os tirou do templo da Babilônia, e foram entregues a um chamado Sesbazar, a quem pusera por governador.

15 And he said to him - (these *Q(K)*) vessels the take! go! deposit! them in temple the which [is] in Jerusalem and [the] house of God let it be built on place its.

E disse-lhe: Toma estes utensílios, vai, [e] põe-os no templo que está em Jerusalém; e seja reconstruída a casa de Deus em seu lugar.

16 Then Sheshbazzar this he came he laid foundations the of [the] house of God which [is] in Jerusalem and from then and until now [it is] being built and not [it is] finished.

Então este Sesbazar veio, e pôs os fundamentos da casa de Deus, que está em Jerusalém, e desde então até agora foi reconstruída, e ainda não foi terminada.

17 And now if to king the [it is] good let it be searched in [the] house of treasures the of king the there which [are] in Babylon whether there [is] that from Cyrus king the it was made [is] a decree to build [the] house of God this in Jerusalem and [the] will of king the concerning this let him send to us.

Agora, pois, se for do agrado do rei, busque-se na casa dos tesouros do rei que está ali na Babilônia, se é [verdade] que rei Ciro foi feito decreto para reconstruir esta casa de Deus em Jerusalém, e seja nos enviada a vontade do rei acerca disto.
