Ezekiel 5
1 And you O son of humankind take yourself - a sword sharp razor of barbers you will take it yourself and you will make [it] pass over head your and over beard your and you will take yourself scales of weight and you will divide them.
| ואתה בן אדם קח לך חרב חדה תער הגלבים תקחנה לך והעברת על ראשך ועל זקנך ולקחת לך מאזני משקל וחלקתם׃ |
2 A third [part] in the fire you will burn in [the] midst of the city when are completed [the] days of the siege and you will take third [part] you will strike [it] with the sword around it and third [part] you will disperse to the wind and a sword I will draw after them.
| שלשית באור תבעיר בתוך העיר כמלאת ימי המצור ולקחת את השלשית תכה בחרב סביבותיה והשלשית תזרה לרוח וחרב אריק אחריהם׃ |
3 And you will take from there a few in number and you will confine them in skirts your.
| ולקחת משם מעט במספר וצרת אותם בכנפיך׃ |
4 And some of them again you will take and you will throw them into [the] middle of the fire and you will burn them in the fire from it it will go out a fire to all [the] house of Israel.
| ומהם עוד תקח והשלכת אותם אל תוך האש ושרפת אתם באש ממנו תצא אש אל כל בית ישראל׃ |
5 Thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh this [is] Jerusalem in [the] middle of the nations I have set it and [are] around it lands.
| כה אמר אדני יהוה זאת ירושלם בתוך הגוים שמתיה וסביבותיה ארצות׃ |
6 And it has rebelled against judgments my to wickedness more than the nations and statutes my more than the lands which [are] around it for judgments my they have rejected and statutes my not they have walked in them.
| ותמר את משפטי לרשעה מן הגוים ואת חקותי מן הארצות אשר סביבותיה כי במשפטי מאסו וחקותי לא הלכו בהם׃ |
7 Therefore thus he says - [the] Lord Yahweh because tumult your [is] more than the nations which [are] around you in statutes my not you have walked and judgments my not you have observed and according to [the] judgments of the nations which [are] around you not you have done.
| לכן כה אמר אדני יהוה יען המנכם מן הגוים אשר סביבותיכם בחקותי לא הלכתם ואת משפטי לא עשיתם וכמשפטי הגוים אשר סביבותיכם לא עשיתם׃ |
8 Therefore thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh here I [am] on you also I and I will bring about in [the] midst of you judgments to [the] eyes of the nations.
| לכן כה אמר אדני יהוה הנני עליך גם אני ועשיתי בתוכך משפטים לעיני הגוים׃ |
9 And I will bring about in you [that] which not I have brought about and [that] which not I will do like it again because of all abominations your.
| ועשיתי בך את אשר לא עשיתי ואת אשר לא אעשה כמהו עוד יען כל תועבתיך׃ |
10 Therefore parents they will eat children in [the] midst of you and children they will eat parents their and I will bring about on you judgments and I will disperse all [the] rest of you to every wind.
| לכן אבות יאכלו בנים בתוכך ובנים יאכלו אבותם ועשיתי בך שפטים וזריתי את כל שאריתך לכל רוח׃ |
11 Therefore [by] [the] life of me [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh if not because sanctuary my you have made unclean by all detestable things your and by all abominations your and also I I will shave [you] and not it will look with compassion eye my and also I not I will show pity.
| לכן חי אני נאם אדני יהוה אם לא יען את מקדשי טמאת בכל שקוציך ובכל תועבתיך וגם אני אגרע ולא תחוס עיני וגם אני לא אחמול׃ |
12 third [part] of You by pestilence they will die and by famine they will come to an end in [the] midst of you and third [part] by the sword they will fall around you and third [part] to every wind I will disperse and a sword I will draw after them.
| שלשתיך בדבר ימותו וברעב יכלו בתוכך והשלשית בחרב יפלו סביבותיך והשלישית לכל רוח אזרה וחרב אריק אחריהם׃ |
13 And it will be spent anger my and I will give rest to rage my on them and I will gain relief and they will know that I Yahweh I have spoken in jealousy my when complete I rage my on them.
| וכלה אפי והנחותי חמתי בם והנחמתי וידעו כי אני יהוה דברתי בקנאתי בכלותי חמתי בם׃ |
14 And I will make you into a ruin and into a reproach among the nations which [are] around you to [the] eyes of every [one who] passes by.
| ואתנך לחרבה ולחרפה בגוים אשר סביבותיך לעיני כל עובר׃ |
15 And it will be a reproach and a taunt a warning and a horror to the nations which [are] around you when bring about I on you judgments in anger and in rage and with rebukes of rage I Yahweh I have spoken.
| והיתה חרפה וגדופה מוסר ומשמה לגוים אשר סביבותיך בעשותי בך שפטים באף ובחמה ובתכחות חמה אני יהוה דברתי׃ |
16 When shoot I [the] arrows of famine harmful on them which they will be for destruction which I will shoot them to destroy you and famine I will increase on you and I will break of you staff of bread.
| בשלחי את חצי הרעב הרעים בהם אשר היו למשחית אשר אשלח אותם לשחתכם ורעב אסף עליכם ושברתי לכם מטה לחם׃ |
17 And I will send on you famine and animal[s] wild and they will make childless you and pestilence and blood it will pass in you and sword I will bring on you I Yahweh I have spoken.
| ושלחתי עליכם רעב וחיה רעה ושכלך ודבר ודם יעבר בך וחרב אביא עליך אני יהוה דברתי׃ |
