< Ezekiel 42 >

1 And he brought out me to the courtyard outer the way [the] direction of the north and he brought me to the room which [was] before the separate place and which [was] before the structure to the north.
Then he brought me forth into the outer court, the way toward the north: and he brought me into the room that was over against the separate place, and which was over against the building toward the north.
2 To [the] face of length cubits the hundred [the] entrance of the north and the breadth [was] fifty cubits.
The length of the front at the north entrance was one hundred seventy-two feet three inches, and the breadth was eighty-six feet two inches.
3 Before the twenty [cubits] which [belonged] to the courtyard inner and before [the] pavement which [belonged] to the courtyard outer a gallery [was] to [the] face of a gallery in the thirds.
Facing the inner court of thirty-four feet five inches, and facing the pavement which belonged to the outer court, was gallery facing gallery in three stories.
4 And [was] before the rooms a passage of ten cubits breadth to the inner [court] a way of a cubit one and entrances their [were] to the north.
Before the rooms was a walk of seventeen feet three inches breadth inward, a way of one hundred seventy-two feet three inches; and their doors were toward the north.
5 And the rooms upper [were] short for they consumed galleries from them more than the lower [rooms] and more than the middle [rooms] [the] structure.
Now the upper rooms were shorter; for the galleries took away from these, more than from the lower and the middle, in the building.
6 For [were] divided into three parts they and not [belonged] to them columns like [the] columns of the courtyards there-fore it was shortened more than the lower [rooms] and more than the middle [rooms] from the ground.
For they were in three stories, and they didn't have pillars as the pillars of the courts: therefore the uppermost was straitened more than the lowest and the middle from the ground.
7 And [the] wall which [was] to the outside close to the rooms [the] direction of the courtyard outer to [the] face of the rooms length its [was] fifty cubit[s].
The wall that was outside by the side of the rooms, toward the outer court before the rooms, its length was eighty-six feet two inches.
8 For [the] length of the rooms which [belonged] to the courtyard outer [was] fifty cubit[s] and there! on [the] face of the temple a hundred cubit[s].
For the length of the rooms that were in the outer court was eighty-six feet two inches: and look, before the temple were one hundred seventy-two feet three inches.
9 (And [was] from under the rooms *Q(K)*) these (the [one] bringing *Q(K)*) from the east when comes he to them from the courtyard outer.
From under these rooms was the entry on the east side, as one goes into them from the outer court.
10 In [the] breadth of - [the] wall of the courtyard [the] direction of the east [were] to [the] face of the separate place and to [the] face of the structure rooms.
In the thickness of the wall of the court toward the south, before the separate place, and before the building, there were rooms.
11 And a way [was] before them like [the] appearance of the rooms which [were] [the] direction of the north like length their [was] so breadth their and all exits their and like plans their and like entrances their.
The way before them was like the appearance of the way of the rooms which were toward the north; according to their length so was their breadth: and all their exits were both according to their fashions, and according to their doors.
12 And like [the] entrances of the rooms which [were] [the] direction of the south an entrance [was] at [the] head of a way a way in front of the wall corresponding [the] direction of the east when come [to] them.
According to the doors of the rooms that were toward the south was a door at the head of the way, even the way directly before the wall toward the east, as one enters into them.
13 And he said to me [the] rooms of the north [the] rooms of the south which [are] to [the] face of the separate place they - [are] [the] rooms of holiness where they will eat there the priests who [are] near to Yahweh [the] holy things of the holy things there they will set down - [the] holy things of the holy things and the grain offering and the sin offering and the guilt offering for the place [is] holy.
Then he said to me, "The north rooms and the south rooms, which are before the separate place, they are the holy rooms, where the cohanim who are near to Jehovah shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meal offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place is holy.
14 When go they the priests and not they will go out from the holy place into the courtyard outer and there they will set down clothes their which they will serve in them for [are] a holy thing they (and they will put on *Q(K)*) clothes other and they will draw near to [that] which [is] for the people.
When the cohanim enter in, then shall they not go out of the holy place into the outer court, but there they shall lay their garments in which they minister; for they are holy: and they shall put on other garments, and shall approach to that which pertains to the people."
15 And he had completed [the] measurements of the house inner and he brought out me [the] way of the gate which face its [was] [the] direction of the east and he measured it all around - all around.
Now when he had made an end of measuring the inner house, he brought me forth by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east, and measured it all around.
16 He measured [the] side of the east with [the] reed of measurement five (hundred *Q(K)*) reeds by [the] reed of measurement all around.
He measured on the east side with the measuring reed eight hundred sixty-one feet three inches, with the measuring reed all around.
17 He measured [the] side of the north five hundred reeds by [the] reed of measurement all around.
The ledge shall be twenty-four feet one inch long by twenty-four feet one inch broad in the four sides of it; and the border about it shall be ten and a half inches; and its bottom shall be twenty-one inches around; and its steps shall look toward the east."
18 [the] side of The south he measured five hundred reeds by [the] reed of measurement.
He measured on the south side eight hundred sixty-one feet three inches with the measuring reed.
19 He turned to [the] side of the sea he measured [it] five hundred reeds by [the] reed of measurement.
He turned about to the west side, and measured eight hundred sixty-one feet three inches with the measuring reed.
20 To four sides he measured it a wall [belonged] to it all around - all around [the] length [was] five hundred [cubits] and [the] breadth [was] five hundred [cubits] to make a distinction between holy thing and a profane thing.
He measured it on the four sides: it had a wall around it, the length eight hundred sixty-one feet three inches, and the breadth eight hundred sixty-one feet three inches, to make a separation between that which was holy and that which was common.
