Ezekiel 38
1 And it came [the] word of Yahweh to me saying.
| ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר |
2 O son of humankind set face your to Gog [the] land of Magog [the] prince of [the] head of Meshech and Tubal and prophesy on him.
| בן אדם שים פניך אל גוג ארץ המגוג--נשיא ראש משך ותבל והנבא עליו |
3 And you will say thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh here I [am] against you O Gog [the] prince of [the] head of Meshech and Tubal.
| ואמרת כה אמר אדני יהוה הנני אליך גוג--נשיא ראש משך ותבל |
4 And I will turn around you and I will put hooks in jaws your and I will bring out you and all army your horses and horsemen clothed of perfection all of them a company great body shield and shield wielders of swords all of them.
| ושובבתיך ונתתי חחים בלחייך והוצאתי אותך ואת כל חילך סוסים ופרשים לבשי מכלול כלם--קהל רב צנה ומגן תפשי חרבות כלם |
5 Persia Cush and Put [will be] with them all of them shield and helmet.
| פרס כוש ופוט אתם כלם מגן וכובע |
6 Gomer and all troops its Beth Togarmah [the] remotest parts of [the] north and all troops its peoples many [will be] with you.
| גמר וכל אגפיה--בית תוגרמה ירכתי צפון ואת כל אגפיו עמים רבים אתך |
7 Be prepared and prepare for yourself O you and all company your that have assembled with you and you will become for them a guard.
| הכן והכן לך--אתה וכל קהלך הנקהלים עליך והיית להם למשמר |
8 From days many you will be mustered at [the] end of the years you will go - into a land - restored from [the] sword gathered together from peoples many on [the] mountains of Israel which they had become a desolation continually and it from peoples it had been brought out and they will be dwelling to security all of them.
| מימים רבים תפקד--באחרית השנים תבוא אל ארץ משובבת מחרב מקבצת מעמים רבים על הרי ישראל אשר היו לחרבה תמיד והיא מעמים הוצאה וישבו לבטח כלם |
9 And you will go up like storm you will go like cloud [about] to cover the land you are you and all troops your and peoples many with you.
| ועלית כשאה תבוא כענן לכסות הארץ תהיה--אתה וכל אגפיך ועמים רבים אותך |
10 Thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh and it will be - on the day that they will come up words on heart your and you will plan a plan evil.
| כה אמר אדני יהוה והיה ביום ההוא יעלו דברים על לבבך וחשבת מחשבת רעה |
11 And you will say I will go up on a land of villages I will go those at peace [who] dwell to security all of them [are] dwelling with not a wall and bar[s] and gates not [belong] to them.
| ואמרת אעלה על ארץ פרזות--אבוא השקטים ישבי לבטח כלם ישבים באין חומה ובריח ודלתים אין להם |
12 To plunder plunder and to take as spoil spoil to turn hand your on waste places inhabited and against a people gathered from nations [who] have acquired livestock and possession[s] [who] dwell at [the] center of the earth.
| לשלל שלל ולבז בז--להשיב ידך על חרבות נושבות ואל עם מאסף מגוים עשה מקנה וקנין ישבי על טבור הארץ |
13 Sheba and Dedan and [the] traders of Tarshish and all young lions its they will say to you ¿ to plunder plunder [are] you coming ¿ to take as spoil spoil have you assembled company your to carry away - silver and gold to take livestock and possession[s] to plunder plunder great.
| שבא ודדן וסחרי תרשיש וכל כפיריה יאמרו לך הלשלל שלל אתה בא הלבז בז הקהלת קהלך--לשאת כסף וזהב לקחת מקנה וקנין לשלל שלל גדול |
14 Therefore prophesy O son of humankind and you will say to Gog thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh ¿ not - on the day that when dwell people my Israel to security will you know.
| לכן הנבא בן אדם ואמרת לגוג כה אמר אדני יהוה הלוא ביום ההוא בשבת עמי ישראל לבטח--תדע |
15 And you will come from place your from [the] remotest parts of [the] north you and peoples many with you riders of horses all of them a company great and an army great.
| ובאת ממקומך מירכתי צפון--אתה ועמים רבים אתך רכבי סוסים כלם קהל גדול וחיל רב |
16 And you will go up on people my Israel like cloud to cover the land at [the] end of the days it will happen and I will bring you on land my so as to know the nations me when I show holy myself by you to eyes their O Gog.
| ועלית על עמי ישראל כענן לכסות הארץ באחרית הימים תהיה והבאותיך על ארצי למען דעת הגוים אתי בהקדשי בך לעיניהם גוג |
17 Thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh ¿ [are] you he whom I spoke in days former by [the] hand of servants my [the] prophets of Israel who prophesied in the days those years to bring you on them.
| כה אמר אדני יהוה האתה הוא אשר דברתי בימים קדמונים ביד עבדי נביאי ישראל הנבאים בימים ההם שנים--להביא אתך עליהם |
18 And it will be - on the day that on [the] day comes Gog on [the] land of Israel [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh it will rise rage my in anger my.
| והיה ביום ההוא ביום בוא גוג על אדמת ישראל--נאם אדני יהוה תעלה חמתי באפי |
19 And in jealousy my in [the] fire of wrath my I have spoken if not - on the day that it will be an earthquake great on [the] land of Israel.
| ובקנאתי באש עברתי דברתי אם לא ביום ההוא יהיה רעש גדול על אדמת ישראל |
20 And they will shake from before me [the] fish of the sea and [the] bird[s] of the heavens and [the] animal[s] of the field and every creeping thing which creeps on the ground and all humankind which [is] on [the] surface of the ground and they will be thrown down the mountains and they will fall the steep places and every wall to the ground it will fall.
| ורעשו מפני דגי הים ועוף השמים וחית השדה וכל הרמש הרמש על האדמה וכל האדם אשר על פני האדמה ונהרסו ההרים ונפלו המדרגות וכל חומה לארץ תפול |
21 And I will summon on him to all mountains my a sword [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh [the] sword of each on brother his it will be.
| וקראתי עליו לכל הרי חרב נאם אדני יהוה חרב איש באחיו תהיה |
22 And I will enter into judgment with him by pestilence and by blood and rain overflowing and stones of hail fire and sulfur I will rain down on him and on troops his and on peoples many which [are] with him.
| ונשפטתי אתו בדבר ובדם וגשם שוטף ואבני אלגביש אש וגפרית אמטיר עליו ועל אגפיו ועל עמים רבים אשר אתו |
23 And I will show myself great and I will show myself holy and I will make myself known to [the] eyes of nations many and they will know that I [am] Yahweh.
| והתגדלתי והתקדשתי ונודעתי לעיני גוים רבים וידעו כי אני יהוה |
