Ezekiel 21
1 And it came [the] word of Yahweh to me saying.
Dubbiin Waaqayyoo akkana jedhee gara koo dhufe:
2 O son of humankind set face your against Jerusalem and prophesy against sanctuaries and prophesy against [the] land of Israel.
“Yaa ilma namaa, fuula kee gara Yerusaalemitti garagalfadhuutii iddoo qulqulluu kanaan mormii lallabi. Biyya Israaʼeliinis mormii raajii dubbadhu;
3 And you will say to [the] land of Israel thus he says Yahweh here I [am] against you and I will bring out sword my from sheath its and I will cut off from you [the] righteous and [the] wicked.
akkanas isheen jedhi: ‘Waaqayyo akkana jedha: Ani sitti nan kaʼa. Goraadee koo manʼee isaa keessaa luqqifadhee nama qajeelaas, hamaas si keessaa nan balleessa.
4 Because that I have cut off from you [the] righteous and [the] wicked therefore it will go forth sword my from sheath its against all flesh from [the] south [the] north.
Waan ani nama qajeelaas, nama hamaas balleessuudhaaf goraadeen koo saba kibbaa hamma kaabaatti jirutti ni luqqifama.
5 And they will know all flesh that I Yahweh I have brought out sword my from sheath its not it will go back again.
Akka ani Waaqayyo goraadee koo manʼee isaa keessaa luqqifadhe, namni hundi ni beeka; innis manʼee isaatti hin deebiʼu.’
6 And you O son of humankind groan with breaking of loins and with bitterness you will groan to eyes their.
“Kanaafuu yaa ilma namaa, aadi! Fuula isaanii duratti garaa cabaa fi gadda hadhaaʼaadhaan aadi.
7 And it will be that they will say to you concerning what? [are] you groaning and you will say because of a report that [it is] coming and it will melt every heart and they will hang limp every pair of hands and it will grow faint every spirit and all knees they will go water there! [it is] coming and it will happen [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh.
Yommuu isaan, ‘Ati maaliif aadda?’ jedhanii si gaafatanitti, ‘Sababii oduu dhagaʼamaa jiruutiif. Onneen hundi ni baqxi; harki hundis ni laafa; hafuurri hundi ni gaggaba; jilbi hundis bishaan taʼa.’ Oduuni sun dhagaʼamaa jira! Dhugumaanis ni taʼa, jedha Waaqayyo Gooftaan.”
8 And it came [the] word of Yahweh to me saying.
Ergasii dubbiin Waaqayyoo akkana jedhee gara koo dhufe;
9 O son of humankind prophesy and you will say thus he says [the] Lord say a sword a sword it has been sharpened and also [is] polished.
“Yaa ilma namaa, raajii dubbadhuutii, ‘Gooftaan akkana jedha’ jedhi: “‘Goraadee! Goraadee! Goraadee qaramee cululuqfame,
10 So as to slaughter a slaughter it has been sharpened so as be for it lightning it has been polished or we will rejoice [the] scepter of son my [is] rejecting every tree.
kan ajjeesuuf qarame, akka balaqqee calaqqisuudhaaf cululuqfame! “‘Nu bokkuu ilma koo Yihuudaatiin gammannaa? Goraadeen ulee akkasii hunda tuffata.
11 And someone gave it to polish [it] to grasp [it] in the palm it it has been sharpened a sword and it it has been polished to put it in [the] hand of [one who] slays.
“‘Goraadeen akka harkaan qabatamuuf cululuqfamuuf ramadameera; harka warra nama qaluutti kennamuuf qaramee cululuqfameera.
12 Cry out and wail O son of humankind for it it has come on people my it [is] on all [the] princes of Israel thrown to [the] sword they have been with people my therefore slap a thigh.
Yaa ilma namaa, kun saba kootti, ilmaan mootota Israaʼel hundatti dhufeeraatii, iyyii wawwaadhu. Isaan saba koo wajjin goraadeedhaaf kennamaniiru. Kanaafuu ati laphee kee rukuti.
13 For it has been tested and what? if also a scepter rejecting not it will be [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh.
“‘Qorumsi dhugumaan ni dhufa. Yoo bokkuun goraadeen tuffate sun itti fufuu baate hoo? jedha Waaqayyo Gooftaan.’
14 And you O son of humankind prophesy and strike palm to palm so it may be doubled a sword a third a sword of [those] slain it [is] a sword of [the] slain great which surrounds them.
“Kanaafuu yaa ilma namaa, ati raajii dubbadhu; harka kees walitti rurrukuti. Goraadeen yeroo lama, yeroo sadiis haa dhaʼu. Goraadeen kun goraadee nama fixu, goraadee akka malee nama fixu, kan qixa hundaan isaan marsuu dha.
15 So as - to melt a heart and [may be] many the stumblings at all gates their I have set a slaughter of a sword alas! made for lightning wrapped for slaughtering.
Kunis akka onneen baqxee hedduun isaanii barbadeeffamaniif ani balbala isaanii hunda dura ajjeechaaf goraadee kaaʼeera. Wayyoo! Inni akka calaqqisuuf haxaaʼameera; inni nama ajjeesuuf cululuqfame.
16 Be sharp go to [the] right cause to set go to [the] left where? [is] face your set.
Yaa goraadee, kallattii qara keetii hundaan karaa mirgaatiinis, karaa bitaatiinis kuti.
17 And also I I will strike palm my to palm my and I will give rest to rage my I Yahweh I have spoken.
Anis harka koo walitti nan rurrukuta; dheekkamsi koos ni qabbanaaʼa. Ani Waaqayyo dubbadheeraa.”
18 And it came [the] word of Yahweh to me saying.
Dubbiin Waaqayyoo akkana jedhee gara koo dhufe:
19 And you O son of humankind make for yourself - two roads to come [the] sword of [the] king of Babylon from a land one they will go out both of them and a monument make at [the] beginning of [the] road of a city make [it].
“Yaa ilma namaa, akka goraadeen mootii Baabilon ittiin dhufuuf daandii lama baasi; lachanuu biyyuma tokkoo kaʼu. Iddoo daandiin sun gara magaalaatti goru irras mallattoo dhaabi.
20 A road you will make to come a sword Rabbah of [the] people of Ammon and Judah in Jerusalem fortified.
Goraadee Rabbaa Amoonotaatti dhufuuf daandii tokko mallattoo godhadhu; kan Yihuudaa fi magaalaa Yerusaalem ishee daʼannoo qabdu sanatti dhufu immoo daandii lammaffaa mallattoo godhadhu.
21 For he has stopped [the] king of Babylon to [the] mother of the road at [the] beginning of [the] two the roads to divine divination he has shaken the arrows he has enquired by the teraphim he has looked at the liver.
Mootiin Baabilon milkii ilaallachuuf jedhee iddoo daandiin sun wal gaʼu irra, fiixee daandiiwwan lamaanii irra dhaabata; innis xiyyaan ixaa buufata; waaqota isaa tolfamoo sanaan ni mariʼata; tiruus ni ilaallata.
22 In right [hand] his it was - the divination Jerusalem to set up battering-rams to open a mouth for shattering to raise a sound with a war cry to set up battering-rams on [the] gates to pour out a mound to build a siege-wall.
Akka inni waan ittiin dallaa diigu dhaabuuf, akka ajaja ajjeechaa kennuuf, akka waca waraanaa dhageessisuuf, akka waan ittiin dallaa diigan karra dura kaaʼuuf, akka biyyoo tuuluu fi akka daʼannoo hojjetuuf harka isaa mirgaatti ixaan Yerusaalemiif baʼe.
23 And it will be to them (as divines *Q(k)*) falsehood in view their oaths of oaths [belong] to them and it [will] bring to remembrance iniquity to be seized.
Wanni kunis warra isa wajjin kakuu galaniif milkii sobaa fakkaata; inni garuu dogoggora isaanii isaan yaadachiisee boojuudhaan isaan fudhata.
24 Therefore thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh because brought to remembrance you iniquity your because were uncovered transgressions your to be seen sins your in all practices your because have been remembered you by the hand you will be seized.
“Kanaafuu Waaqayyo Gooftaan akkana jedha: ‘Isin sababii akka cubbuun keessan waan isin hojjettan hunda keessatti mulʼatuuf, akka balleessaan keessan hin dhokanne gochuudhaan waan akka yakki keessan yaadatamu gootaniif jechuunis waan akkana gootaniif ni boojiʼamtu.
25 And you O profane [one] wicked prince of Israel whom it has come day his at a time of punishment of [the] end.
“‘Yaa ilma mootii Israaʼel xuraaʼaa fi hamaa nana, kan guyyaan kee dhiʼaate, kan yeroon adabama keetii fiixee gaʼe,
26 Thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh to remove the turban and to lift off the crown this not this the lowly exalt and the exalted to bring low.
Waaqayyo Gooftaan akkana jedha: Marata of irraa hiiki; gonfoos of irraa fuudhi. Wanti akka amma jirutti hafu hin jiru; kan gad qabame ol qabama; kan ol qabame immoo gad qabama.
27 A ruin a ruin a ruin I will make it also this not it will be until comes [the one] whom [belongs] to him the judgment and I will give it.
Diigama! Diigama! Ani ishee nan diiga! Hamma namni isheen isaaf maltu dhufutti isheen akka kanaan duraa hin taatu; ishees isaaf nan kenna.’
28 And you O son of humankind prophesy and you will say thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh concerning [the] people of Ammon and concerning reproach their and you will say a sword a sword [is] drawn for slaughter [is] polished to contain on account of lightning.
“Yaa ilma namaa, akkana jedhii raajii dubbadhu; ‘Waaqayyo Gooftaan waaʼee Amoonotaa fi arrabsoo isaanii akkana jedha: “‘Goraadee, goraadee, kan ajjeesuuf luqqifame, akka fixuu fi akka calaqqisuuf kan haxaaʼame!
29 When see for you falsehood when divine for you falsehood to give you to [the] necks of [those] profaned of wicked [people] whom it has come day their at a time of punishment of [the] end.
Mulʼanni sobaa waaʼee keetiif, raajiin sobaa siif jiraatu iyyuu, inni morma hamoota ajjeefamuu qaban kanneen guyyaan isaanii dhiʼaate, warra yeroon adabbii isaanii gaʼe irra ni kaaʼama.
30 Put back into sheath its in [the] place where you were created in [the] land of origins your I will judge you.
Goraadee manʼee isaatti deebisi; iddoo ati itti dhalattetti, biyya akaakayyuu keetiitti, ani sitti nan mura.
31 And I will pour out on you indignation my with [the] fire of wrath my I will blow on you and I will give you in [the] hand of men brutish craftsmen of destruction.
Ani dheekkamsa koo sirratti nan dhangalaasa; ibidda aarii kootiis sitti nan buufa; ani namoota hamoo kanneen balleessuudhaan beekamanitti dabarsee sin kenna.
32 For the fire you will become fuel blood your it will be in [the] midst of the land not you will be remembered for I Yahweh I have spoken.
Ati qoraan ibiddaa taata; dhiigni kee biyya kee keessatti dhangalaʼa; siʼachi hin yaadatamtu; ani Waaqayyo dubbadheeraatii.’”
