Ezekiel 20
1 And it was - in the year seventh in the fifth [month] on the ten of the month they came men from [the] elders of Israel to consult Yahweh and they sat down before me.
Kwasekusithi ngomnyaka wesikhombisa, ngenyanga yesihlanu, ngolwetshumi lwenyanga, abathile babadala bakoIsrayeli beza ukuzabuza iNkosi, bahlala phambi kwami.
2 And it came [the] word of Yahweh to me saying.
Ilizwi leNkosi laselifika kimi lisithi:
3 O son of humankind speak with [the] elders of Israel and you will say to them thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh ¿ to consult me [are] you coming [by] [the] life of me if I will let myself be consulted by you [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh.
Ndodana yomuntu, khuluma kubadala bakoIsrayeli, uthi kubo: Itsho njalo iNkosi uJehova: Lize ukuzangibuza yini? Kuphila kwami, isibili kangiyikubuzwa yini, itsho iNkosi uJehova.
4 ¿ Will you judge them ¿ will you judge O son of humankind [the] abominations of ancestors their make known to them.
Uzabahlulela yini, uzabahlulela yini, ndodana yomuntu? Bazise izinengiso zaboyise;
5 And you will say to them thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh on [the] day chose I Israel and I lifted up hand my to [the] offspring of [the] house of Jacob and I made myself known to them in [the] land of Egypt and I lifted up hand my to them saying I [am] Yahweh God your.
uthi kubo: Itsho njalo iNkosi uJehova: Ngosuku engakhetha ngalo uIsrayeli, ngaphakamisa isandla sami kunzalo yendlu kaJakobe, ngazazisa kubo elizweni leGibhithe, lapho ngiphakamisa isandla sami kibo, ngisithi: NgiyiNkosi uNkulunkulu wenu.
6 On the day that I lifted up hand my to them to bring out them from [the] land of Egypt to a land which I had selected for them flowing of milk and honey [is] beauty it to all the lands.
Ngalolusuku ngaphakamisa isandla sami kubo, ukuthi ngibakhuphe elizweni leGibhithe ngibase elizweni engangibahlolele lona, eligeleza uchago loluju, eliludumo lwawo wonke amazwe.
7 And I said to them everyone [the] detestable things of eyes his throw away and by [the] idols of Egypt may not you make yourselves unclean I [am] Yahweh God your.
Ngasengisithi kubo: Lahlani ngulowo lalowo izinengiso zamehlo akhe, lingazingcolisi ngezithombe zeGibhithe: NgiyiNkosi uNkulunkulu wenu.
8 And they rebelled against me and not they were willing to listen to me anyone [the] detestable things of eyes their not they threw away and [the] idols of Egypt not they forsook and I said to pour out rage my on them to complete anger my on them in [the] midst of [the] land of Egypt.
Kodwa bangivukela, bengavumi ukulalela kimi, kabalahlanga ngulowo lalowo izinengiso zamehlo abo, kabatshiyanga izithombe zeGibhithe. Ngasengisithi ngizathululela ukuthukuthela kwami phezu kwabo, ukuze ngiphelelise ulaka lwami ngimelene labo phakathi kwelizwe leGibhithe.
9 And I acted for [the] sake of name my to not to be profaned to [the] eyes of the nations which they [were] in midst of them which I had made myself known to them to eyes their by bringing out them from [the] land of Egypt.
Kodwa ngakwenza ngenxa yebizo lami, ukuze lingangcoliswa emehlweni ezizwe, ababephakathi kwazo, engazazisa kubo phambi kwamehlo azo, ukubakhupha elizweni leGibhithe.
10 And I brought out them from [the] land of Egypt and I brought them into the wilderness.
Ngakho ngabakhupha elizweni leGibhithe, ngabangenisa enkangala.
11 And I gave to them statutes my and judgments my I made known to them which he will do them the person and he will live by them.
Ngabanika izimiso zami, ngabazisa izahlulelo zami, okuthi nxa umuntu ezenza, uzaphila ngazo.
12 And also sabbaths my I gave to them to become a sign between me and between them to know that I [am] Yahweh [who] sanctified them.
Ngabanika futhi amasabatha ami ukuze abe yisibonakaliso phakathi kwami labo, ukuze bazi ukuthi ngiyiNkosi ebangcwelisayo.
13 And they rebelled against me [the] house of Israel in the wilderness in statutes my not they walked and judgments my they rejected which he will do them the person and he will live by them and sabbaths my they profaned exceedingly and I said to pour out rage my on them in the wilderness to make an end of them.
Kodwa indlu kaIsrayeli yangivukela enkangala; kabahambanga ngezimiso zami, badelela izahlulelo zami, okuthi nxa umuntu ezenza, uzaphila ngazo; lamasabatha ami bawangcolisa kakhulu. Ngasengisithi ngizathululela ukuthukuthela kwami phezu kwabo enkangala, ukuze ngibaqede.
14 And I acted for [the] sake of name my to not to be profaned to [the] eyes of the nations which I had brought out them to eyes their.
Kodwa ngakwenza ngenxa yebizo lami, ukuze lingangcoliswa emehlweni ezizwe, engabakhupha emehlweni azo.
15 And also I I lifted up hand my to them in the wilderness to not to bring them into the land which I had given flowing of milk and honey [is] beauty it to all the lands.
Futhi lami ngabaphakamisela isandla sami enkangala, ukuthi kangiyikubaletha elizweni engangilinike bona, eligeleza uchago loluju, eliludumo lwawo wonke amazwe;
16 Because judgments my they had rejected and statutes my not they had walked in them and sabbaths my they had profaned for after idols their heart their [was] walking.
ngoba badelela izahlulelo zami, kabahambanga ngezimiso zami, kodwa bangcolisa amasabatha ami, ngoba inhliziyo yabo yalandela izithombe zabo.
17 And it looked with compassion eye my on them from destroying them and not I made them complete destruction in the wilderness.
Lanxa kunjalo ilihlo lami labahawukela ukuze ngingababhubhisi, futhi kangibaqedanga enkangala.
18 And I said to children their in the wilderness in [the] statutes of ancestors your may not you walk and judgments their may not you keep and by idols their may not you make yourselves unclean.
Kodwa ngathi kubantwana babo enkangala: Lingahambi ngezimiso zaboyihlo, lingagcini izahlulelo zabo, lingazingcolisi ngezithombe zabo.
19 I [am] Yahweh God your in statutes my walk and judgments my keep and do them.
NgiyiNkosi uNkulunkulu wenu; hambani ngezimiso zami, ligcine izahlulelo zami, lizenze.
20 And sabbaths my keep holy and they will become a sign between me and between you to know that I [am] Yahweh God your.
Lingcwelise amasabatha ami, abe yisibonakaliso phakathi kwami lani, ukuze lazi ukuthi ngiyiNkosi uNkulunkulu wenu.
21 And they rebelled against me the children in statutes my not they walked and judgments my not they kept to observe them which he will do them the person and he will live by them sabbaths my they profaned and I said to pour out rage my on them to complete anger my on them in the wilderness.
Kodwa abantwana bangivukela; kabahambanga ngezimiso zami, kabagcinanga izahlulelo zami ukuthi bazenze; okuthi nxa umuntu ezenza, uzaphila ngazo; bawangcolisa amasabatha ami; ngasengisithi ngizathululela intukuthelo yami phezu kwabo, ukuthi ngiphelelise ulaka lwami ngimelene labo enkangala.
22 And I turned back hand my and I acted for [the] sake of name my to not to be profaned to [the] eyes of the nations which I brought out them to eyes their.
Kodwa ngabuyisa isandla sami, ngenza ngenxa yebizo lami, ukuze lingangcoliswa phambi kwamehlo ezizwe, engangibakhuphe phambi kwamehlo azo.
23 Also I I lifted up hand my to them in the wilderness to scatter them among the nations and to disperse them among the lands.
Mina ngabaphakamisela isandla sami futhi enkangala, ukuthi ngizabahlakaza phakathi kwezizwe, ngibasabalalisele emazweni;
24 Because judgments my not they had done and statutes my they had rejected and sabbaths my they had profaned and after [the] idols of parents their they had been eyes their.
ngoba bengazenzanga izahlulelo zami, kodwa badelela izimiso zami, bangcolisa amasabatha ami, lamehlo abo alandela izithombe zaboyise.
25 And also I I gave to them statutes not good and judgments [which] not they will live by them.
Ngakho mina ngabanika futhi izimiso ezazingalunganga, lezahlulelo ababengeke baphile ngazo.
26 And I made unclean them by gifts their when made pass through every firstborn of a womb so that I may make appalled them so that this they may know that I [am] Yahweh.
Ngasengibangcolisa kuzo izipho zabo, ekudabuliseni kwaboemlilweni konke okuvula isizalo, ukuze ngibachithe, ukuze bazi ukuthi ngiyiNkosi.
27 Therefore speak to [the] house of Israel O son of humankind and you will say to them thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh again this they blasphemed me ancestors your when acted unfaithfully they against me unfaithfulness.
Ngakho, ndodana yomuntu, khuluma kuyo indlu yakoIsrayeli, uthi kubo: Itsho njalo iNkosi uJehova: Lakulokhu oyihlo bangihlambazile, ngokuthi baphambeke isiphambeko bemelene lami.
28 And I brought them into the land which I had lifted up hand my to give it to them and they saw every hill high and every tree leafy and they sacrificed there sacrifices their and they presented there [the] provocation of offering their and they made there [the] odor of soothing their and they poured out there drink offerings their.
Lapho sengibalethe elizweni, engaphakamisela isandla sami ngalo ukuthi ngibanike lona, babona lonke uqaqa oluphakemeyo, lazo zonke izihlahla eziqatha, bahlaba khona imihlatshelo yabo, banikela khona isicunulo somnikelo wabo, bafaka khona iphunga labo elimnandi, bathulula khona iminikelo yabo yokunathwayo.
29 And I said to them what? [is] the high place where you [are] the [ones who] go there and it has been called name its Bamah until the day this.
Ngasengisithi kubo: Iyini indawo ephakemeyo eliya kuyo? Lebizo layo lithiwa yiNdawo ePhakemeyo kuze kube lamuhla.
30 Therefore say - to [the] house of Israel thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh ¿ in [the] way? of ancestors your [are] you making yourselves unclean and after detestable things their [are] you? acting as prostitutes.
Ngakho tshono kuyo indlu kaIsrayeli: Itsho njalo iNkosi uJehova: Lizazingcolisa ngendlela yaboyihlo yini, liphinge lilandela izinengiso zabo?
31 And when lift up gifts your when make pass children your in the fire you [are] making yourselves unclean to all idols your until this day and I will I let myself be consulted? by you O house of Israel [by] [the] life of me [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh if I will let myself be consulted by you.
Ngoba lapho linikela izipho zenu, lapho lisenza amadodana enu adabule emlilweni, liyazingcolisa ngezithombe zenu zonke kuze kube lamuhla. Mina-ke ngizabuzwa yini na, wena ndlu kaIsrayeli? Kuphila kwami, itsho iNkosi uJehova, isibili kangiyikubuzwa yini.
32 And the [thing which] comes up on spirit your certainly not it will happen [that] which - you [are] saying we will be like the nations like [the] clans of the lands to serve wood and stone.
Lalokho okuvela engqondweni yenu kakuyikuba khona ngitsho, elikutshoyo ukuthi: Sizakuba njengabezizwe, njengensapho zamazwe, ukuthi sikhonze isigodo lelitshe.
33 [by] [the] life Of me [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh if not by a hand strong and by an arm outstretched and with rage poured out I will reign over you.
Kuphila kwami, itsho iNkosi uJehova, isibili ngizabusa phezu kwenu ngesandla esilamandla langengalo eyeluliweyo langolaka oluthululiweyo!
34 And I will bring out you from the peoples and I will gather you from the lands which you have been scattered among them by a hand strong and by an arm outstretched and with rage poured out.
Ngoba ngizalikhupha ebantwini, ngiliqoqe emazweni elihlakazekele kuwo, ngesandla esilamandla langengalo eyeluliweyo langolaka oluthululiweyo.
35 And I will bring you into [the] wilderness of the peoples and I will enter into judgment with you there face to face.
Njalo ngizaliletha enkangala yabantu, ngizaphikisana lani lapho ubuso ngobuso.
36 Just as I entered into judgment with ancestors your in [the] wilderness of [the] land of Egypt so I will enter into judgment with you [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh.
Njengalokhu ngaphikisana laboyihlo enkangala yelizwe leGibhithe, ngokunjalo ngizaphikisana lani, itsho iNkosi uJehova.
37 And I will make pass you under the rod and I will bring you in [the] bond of the covenant.
Njalo ngizalidlulisa ngaphansi kwentonga, ngilingenise kusibopho sesivumelwano.
38 And I will purge from you those [who] rebel and those [who] transgress against me from [the] land of sojournings their I will bring out them and into [the] land of Israel not he will go and you will know that I [am] Yahweh.
Ngihlanze ngikhuphe phakathi kwenu abavukeli lalabo abaphambeka bemelene lami, ngibakhuphe elizweni lokuhlala kwabo njengabezizwe, kodwa kabayikungena emhlabathini wakoIsrayeli. Khona lizakwazi ukuthi ngiyiNkosi.
39 And you O house of Israel thus he says - [the] Lord Yahweh everyone idols his go serve and after if not you [will be] listening to me and [the] name of holiness my not you will profane again by gifts your and by idols your.
Lina-ke, ndlu kaIsrayeli, itsho njalo iNkosi uJehova, hambani likhonze, ngulowo lalowo izithombe zakhe, langemva kwalokho, uba lingangilaleli; kodwa lingangcolisi futhi ibizo lami elingcwele ngezipho zenu langezithombe zenu.
40 For on [the] mountain of holiness my on [the] mountain of - [the] height of Israel [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh there they will serve me all [the] house of Israel all of it in the land there I will accept them and there I will seek contributions your and [the] choicest of gifts your with all holy things your.
Ngoba entabeni yami engcwele, entabeni yengqonga yakoIsrayeli, itsho iNkosi uJehova, lapho izangikhonza indlu yonke yakoIsrayeli, bonke elizweni; khona ngizabemukela, lakhona ngibize iminikelo yenu, lezithelo zokuqala zeminikelo yenu, lazo zonke izinto zenu ezingcwele.
41 An odor of soothing I will accept you when bring out I you from the peoples and I will gather you from the lands which you have been scattered among them and I will show myself holy among you to [the] eyes of the nations.
Ngizalemukela ngephunga elimnandi nxa ngilikhupha ebantwini, ngiliqoqe emazweni ebelihlakazelwe kuwo; njalo ngizangcweliswa phakathi kwenu phambi kwamehlo ezizwe.
42 And you will know that I [am] Yahweh when bring I you into [the] land of Israel into the land which I lifted up hand my to give it to ancestors your.
Lizakwazi-ke ukuthi ngiyiNkosi, lapho sengilingenise emhlabathini wakoIsrayeli, elizweni engaliphakamisela isandla sami ukulinika oyihlo.
43 And you will remember there ways your and all practices your which you have made yourselves unclean by them and you will loathe faces your for all wicked deeds your which you have done.
Lapho-ke lizakhumbula izindlela zenu lezenzo zenu zonke, elazingcolisa ngazo; njalo lizazenyanya phambi kobuso benu ngenxa yazo zonke izinto ezimbi elizenzileyo.
44 And you will know that I [am] Yahweh when do I with you for [the] sake of name my not according to ways your wicked and according to practices your corrupt O house of Israel [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh.
Beselisazi ukuthi ngiyiNkosi, nxa ngenze kini ngenxa yebizo lami, hatshi njengokwezindlela zenu ezimbi, kumbe njengokwezenzo zenu zenkohlakalo, lina ndlu kaIsrayeli, itsho iNkosi uJehova.
45 And it came [the] word of Yahweh to me saying.
Ilizwi leNkosi lafika kimi futhi lisithi:
46 O son of humankind set face your [the] direction south-ward and prophesy against [the] south and prophesy against [the] forest of the field [the] south.
Ndodana yomuntu, misa ubuso bakho ngasendleleni yeningizimu, utshumayele ngaseningizimu, uprofethe umelene legusu lensimu yeningizimu;
47 And you will say to [the] forest of the south hear [the] word of Yahweh thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh here I [am] about to kindle in you - a fire and it will consume in you every tree moist and every tree dry not it will be extinguished [the] flame of flame and they will be scorched by it all faces from [the] south [the] north towards.
uthi kilo igusu leningizimu: Zwana ilizwi leNkosi: Itsho njalo iNkosi uJehova: Khangela, ngizaphemba umlilo phakathi kwakho, njalo uzaqeda phakathi kwakho sonke isihlahla esiluhlaza laso sonke isihlahla esomileyo; ilangabi elivuthayo kaliyikucitshwa, kodwa kuzatshiswa ngalo bonke ubuso kusukela eningizimu kuze kufike enyakatho.
48 And they will see all flesh that I Yahweh I have kindled it not it will be extinguished.
Futhi yonke inyama izabona ukuthi mina Nkosi ngiwuphembile, kawuyikucitshwa.
49 And I said alas! O Lord Yahweh they [are] saying of me ¿ not making a parable parables [is] he.
Ngasengisithi: Hawu, Nkosi Jehova! Bathi ngami: Kakhulumi imifanekiso yini?
