Ezekiel 20
1 And it was - in the year seventh in the fifth [month] on the ten of the month they came men from [the] elders of Israel to consult Yahweh and they sat down before me.
Im siebenten Jahr aber, im fünften Monat, am zehnten des Monats, erschienen Männer von den Vornehmen Israels, um Jahwe zu befragen, und ließen sich vor mir nieder.
2 And it came [the] word of Yahweh to me saying.
Da erging das Wort Jahwes an mich folgendermaßen:
3 O son of humankind speak with [the] elders of Israel and you will say to them thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh ¿ to consult me [are] you coming [by] [the] life of me if I will let myself be consulted by you [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh.
Menschensohn, rede mit den Vornehmen Israels und sprich zu ihnen: So spricht der Herr Jahwe: Mich zu befragen kommt ihr? So wahr ich lebe, ich lasse mich nicht von euch befragen, ist der Spruch des Herrn Jahwe.
4 ¿ Will you judge them ¿ will you judge O son of humankind [the] abominations of ancestors their make known to them.
Willst du sie aber richten, willst du richten, o Menschensohn, so thue ihnen die Greuel ihrer Väter kund
5 And you will say to them thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh on [the] day chose I Israel and I lifted up hand my to [the] offspring of [the] house of Jacob and I made myself known to them in [the] land of Egypt and I lifted up hand my to them saying I [am] Yahweh God your.
und sprich zu ihnen: So spricht der Herr Jahwe: An dem Tage, da ich Israel erwählte, da erhob ich den Nachkommen des Hauses Jakob meine Hand zum Schwur und macht mich ihnen kund in Ägypten; da erhob ich ihnen meine Hand und sprach: Ich bin Jahwe, euer Gott!
6 On the day that I lifted up hand my to them to bring out them from [the] land of Egypt to a land which I had selected for them flowing of milk and honey [is] beauty it to all the lands.
An jenem Tag erhob ich ihnen mein Hand und schwur, daß ich sie aus Ägypten hinausführen wolle in ein Land, daß ich für sie ausgekundschaftet hatte, das von Milch und Honig überfließt, - ein Kleinod ist es unter allen Ländern!
7 And I said to them everyone [the] detestable things of eyes his throw away and by [the] idols of Egypt may not you make yourselves unclean I [am] Yahweh God your.
Und ich sprach zu ihnen: Werft ein jeder die vor euren Augen stehenden Scheusale fort und an den Götzen Ägyptens verunreinigt euch nicht! Ich bin Jahwe, euer Gott!
8 And they rebelled against me and not they were willing to listen to me anyone [the] detestable things of eyes their not they threw away and [the] idols of Egypt not they forsook and I said to pour out rage my on them to complete anger my on them in [the] midst of [the] land of Egypt.
Aber sie waren widerspenstig gegen mich und wolten nicht auf mich hören; die Scheusale ihrer Augen warfen sie nicht fort und die Götzen Ägyptens ließen sie nicht fahren. Da gedachte ich meinen Grimm über sie auszuschütten, meinen Zorn an ihnen zu erschöpfen inmitten des Landes Ägypten.
9 And I acted for [the] sake of name my to not to be profaned to [the] eyes of the nations which they [were] in midst of them which I had made myself known to them to eyes their by bringing out them from [the] land of Egypt.
Doch ich thats nicht um meines Namens willen, damit dieser nicht entweiht würde vor den Augen der Völker, in deren Mitte sie waren, vor deren Augen ich mich ihnen kund gethan hatte, indem ich sie aus Ägypten herausführte.
10 And I brought out them from [the] land of Egypt and I brought them into the wilderness.
Und ich führte sie aus Ägypen heraus und führte sie in die Wüste;
11 And I gave to them statutes my and judgments my I made known to them which he will do them the person and he will live by them.
und ich gab ihnen meine Satzungen und that ihnen meine Rechte kund, die der Mensch üben soll, damit er sein Leben durch sie erhalte,
12 And also sabbaths my I gave to them to become a sign between me and between them to know that I [am] Yahweh [who] sanctified them.
Auch meine Sabbate gab ich ihnen, daß sie ein Zeichen seien zwischen mir und ihnen, damit man erkenne, daß ich, Jahwe, es bin, der sie heiligt.
13 And they rebelled against me [the] house of Israel in the wilderness in statutes my not they walked and judgments my they rejected which he will do them the person and he will live by them and sabbaths my they profaned exceedingly and I said to pour out rage my on them in the wilderness to make an end of them.
Aber das Haus Israel war widerspenstig gegen mich in der Wüste; nach meinen Satzungen wandelten sie nicht und meine Rechte verachteten sie, die der Mensch üben soll, damit er sein Leben durch sie erhalte, und meine Sabbate entweihten sie sehr. Da gedachte ich meinen Grimm über sie auszuschütten in der Wüste, um ihnen den Garaus zu machen
14 And I acted for [the] sake of name my to not to be profaned to [the] eyes of the nations which I had brought out them to eyes their.
Aber ich thats nicht um meines Namens willen, damit dieser nicht entweiht würde vor den Augen der Völker, vor deren Augen ich sie herausgeführt hatte.
15 And also I I lifted up hand my to them in the wilderness to not to bring them into the land which I had given flowing of milk and honey [is] beauty it to all the lands.
Doch erhob ich ihnen meine Hand in der Wüste und schwur, daß ich sie nicht in das Land bringen wolle, das ich ihnen verliehen hatte, das von Milch und Honig überfließt, - ein Kleinod ist's unter allen Ländern! -
16 Because judgments my they had rejected and statutes my not they had walked in them and sabbaths my they had profaned for after idols their heart their [was] walking.
weil sie meine Rechte verachteten und nach meinen Satzungen nicht wandelten und meine Sabbate entweihten; denn ihr Herz ging ihren Götzen nach.
17 And it looked with compassion eye my on them from destroying them and not I made them complete destruction in the wilderness.
Doch ich hatte zu viel Mitleid mit ihnen, um sie zu Grunde zu richten, und machte es mit ihnen nicht gar aus in der Wüste.
18 And I said to children their in the wilderness in [the] statutes of ancestors your may not you walk and judgments their may not you keep and by idols their may not you make yourselves unclean.
Und ich sprach zu ihren Söhnen in der Wüste: Wandelt nicht nach der Gewohnheit eurer Väter und beobachtet nicht die von ihnen befolgten Rechte und verunreinigt euch nicht an ihren Götzen!
19 I [am] Yahweh God your in statutes my walk and judgments my keep and do them.
Ich bin Jahwe, euer Gott: nach meinen Satzungen wandelt und meine Rechte beobachtet und übt sie!
20 And sabbaths my keep holy and they will become a sign between me and between you to know that I [am] Yahweh God your.
Und meine Sabbate haltet heilig, daß sie ein Zeichen seien zwischen mir und euch, damit man erkenne, daß ich, Jahwe, euer Gott, bin.
21 And they rebelled against me the children in statutes my not they walked and judgments my not they kept to observe them which he will do them the person and he will live by them sabbaths my they profaned and I said to pour out rage my on them to complete anger my on them in the wilderness.
Aber auch die Söhne waren widerspenstig gegen mich: nach meinen Satzungen wandelten sie nicht und meine Rechte beachteten sie nicht, daß sie sie geübt hätten, die doch der Mensch üben soll, damit er sein Leben durch sie erhalte; meine Sabbate entweihten sie. Da gedachte ich meinen Grimm über sie auszuschütten, meinen Zorn an ihnen zu erschöpfen in der Wüste.
22 And I turned back hand my and I acted for [the] sake of name my to not to be profaned to [the] eyes of the nations which I brought out them to eyes their.
Doch ich zog meine Hand wieder zurück und that's nicht um meines Namens willen, damit dieser nicht entweiht würde vor den Augen der Völker, vor deren Augen ich sie hergeführt hatte.
23 Also I I lifted up hand my to them in the wilderness to scatter them among the nations and to disperse them among the lands.
Doch erhob ich ihnen meine Hand in der Wüste und schwur, daß ich sie unter die Völker zerstreuen und in die Länder versprengen wolle,
24 Because judgments my not they had done and statutes my they had rejected and sabbaths my they had profaned and after [the] idols of parents their they had been eyes their.
weil sie meine Rechte nicht übten und meine Satzungen verachteten und meine Sabbate entweihten, und ihre Augen an den Götzen ihrer Väter hingen.
25 And also I I gave to them statutes not good and judgments [which] not they will live by them.
So gab ich ihnen denn Satzungen, die nicht ersprießlich waren, und Rechte, durch die sie nicht ihr Leben erhalten konnten.
26 And I made unclean them by gifts their when made pass through every firstborn of a womb so that I may make appalled them so that this they may know that I [am] Yahweh.
Ich machte sie unrein durch ihre Opfergaben - dadurch, daß sie alles, was den Mutterschoß durchbricht, dem Feuer weihten, - um ihnen ein Grausen einzuflößen, damit sie erkennen sollten, daß ich Jahwe bin.
27 Therefore speak to [the] house of Israel O son of humankind and you will say to them thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh again this they blasphemed me ancestors your when acted unfaithfully they against me unfaithfulness.
Darum rede zum Hause Israel, o Menschensohn, und sprich zu ihnen: So spricht der Herr Jahwe: Weiter haben mich eure Väter dadurch verhöhnt, daß sie von mir abtrünnig wurden.
28 And I brought them into the land which I had lifted up hand my to give it to them and they saw every hill high and every tree leafy and they sacrificed there sacrifices their and they presented there [the] provocation of offering their and they made there [the] odor of soothing their and they poured out there drink offerings their.
Als ich sie in das Land gebracht, dessen Verleihung ich ihnen zugeschworen hatte, und sie irgendwo eines hohen Hügels und eines dicht belaubten Baumes ansichtig wurden, so schlachteten sie daselbst ihre Opfer und brachten daselbst ihre widerwärtige Gabe dar und stellten daselbst ihre lieblich duftenden Opfer auf und spendeten daselbst Trankopfer.
29 And I said to them what? [is] the high place where you [are] the [ones who] go there and it has been called name its Bamah until the day this.
Da sprach ich zu ihnen: Was ist das für eine Höhe, zu der ihr da hochsteigt? Darum giebt man ihr den Namen Höhe bis auf den heutigen Tag.
30 Therefore say - to [the] house of Israel thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh ¿ in [the] way? of ancestors your [are] you making yourselves unclean and after detestable things their [are] you? acting as prostitutes.
Darum sprich zum Hause Israel: So spricht der Herr Jahwe: Wollt ihr euch in der Weise eurer Väter verunreinigen und ihren Scheusalen nachhuren?
31 And when lift up gifts your when make pass children your in the fire you [are] making yourselves unclean to all idols your until this day and I will I let myself be consulted? by you O house of Israel [by] [the] life of me [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh if I will let myself be consulted by you.
Ja, durch das Darbieten eurer Opfergaben, dadurch, daß ihr eure Söhne durchs Feuer gehen laßt, verunreinigt ihr euch an allen euren Götzen bis auf diesen Tag, und ich sollte mich von euch befragen lassen, Haus Israel? So wahr ich lebe, ist der Spruch des Herrn Jahwe, ich will mich nicht von euch befragen lassen!
32 And the [thing which] comes up on spirit your certainly not it will happen [that] which - you [are] saying we will be like the nations like [the] clans of the lands to serve wood and stone.
Und das, was euch in den Sinn kommt, soll gewiß nicht geschehen, daß ihr denkt: wir wollen den übrigen Völkern gleichen, den Geschlechtern der Heidenländer, indem wir Holz und Steine verehren!
33 [by] [the] life Of me [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh if not by a hand strong and by an arm outstretched and with rage poured out I will reign over you.
So wahr ich lebe, ist der Spruch des Herrn Jahwe, mit starker Hand und ausgerecktem Arm und mit ausgeschüttetem Grimme will ich mich als König über euch erzeigen.
34 And I will bring out you from the peoples and I will gather you from the lands which you have been scattered among them by a hand strong and by an arm outstretched and with rage poured out.
Und ich werde euch aus den Völkern herausführen und euch sammeln aus den Ländern, in die ihr zerstreut wurdet, mit starker Hand und ausgerecktem Arm und ausgeschüttetem Grimm,
35 And I will bring you into [the] wilderness of the peoples and I will enter into judgment with you there face to face.
und werde euch in die Wüste inmitten der Völker bringen und daselbst mit euch rechten von Angesicht zu Angesicht.
36 Just as I entered into judgment with ancestors your in [the] wilderness of [the] land of Egypt so I will enter into judgment with you [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh.
Wie ich in der ägyptischen Wüste mit euren Vätern gerechtet habe, so werde ich auch mit euch rechten, ist der Spruch des Herrn Jahwe.
37 And I will make pass you under the rod and I will bring you in [the] bond of the covenant.
Und ich werde euch unter dem Stabe hindurchgehen lassen und euch in Fesseln bringen.
38 And I will purge from you those [who] rebel and those [who] transgress against me from [the] land of sojournings their I will bring out them and into [the] land of Israel not he will go and you will know that I [am] Yahweh.
Und ich scheide von euch aus, die sich gegen mich empörten und von mir abfielen. Aus dem Lande, wo sie als Fremdlinge weilten, will ich sie herausführen, aber ins Land Israel sollen sie nicht gelangen, damit ihr erkennet, daß ich Jahwe bin.
39 And you O house of Israel thus he says - [the] Lord Yahweh everyone idols his go serve and after if not you [will be] listening to me and [the] name of holiness my not you will profane again by gifts your and by idols your.
Ihr aber, Haus Israel, - so spricht der Herr Jahwe: Geht hin und verbrennt ein jeder seine Götzen; dann aber - solltet ihr wirklich nicht auf mich hören? - werdet ihr meinen heiligen Namen noch länger durch eure Opfergaben und eure Götzen entweihen?
40 For on [the] mountain of holiness my on [the] mountain of - [the] height of Israel [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh there they will serve me all [the] house of Israel all of it in the land there I will accept them and there I will seek contributions your and [the] choicest of gifts your with all holy things your.
Vielmehr auf meinem heiligen Berg, auf der Bergeshöhe Israels, ist der Spruch des Herrn Jahwe, da wird mir dann insgesamt das ganze Haus Israel dienen; da werde ich sie gnädig annehmen und da werde ich eure Hebeopfer und eure Erstlingsgaben - alles, was ihr an heiligen Gaben darbringt - begehren.
41 An odor of soothing I will accept you when bring out I you from the peoples and I will gather you from the lands which you have been scattered among them and I will show myself holy among you to [the] eyes of the nations.
Als einen lieblichen Geruch will ich euch gnädig annehmen, wenn ich euch aus den Völkern herausführe und euch aus den Ländern sammle, in die ihr zerstreut wurdet, und will mich an euch vor den Augen der Völker als den Heiligen erweisen.
42 And you will know that I [am] Yahweh when bring I you into [the] land of Israel into the land which I lifted up hand my to give it to ancestors your.
Da sollt ihr dann erkennen, daß ich Jahwe bin, wenn ich euch in das Land Israel bringe, in das Land, dessen Verleihung ich euren Vätern einst zugeschworen habe.
43 And you will remember there ways your and all practices your which you have made yourselves unclean by them and you will loathe faces your for all wicked deeds your which you have done.
Da werdet ihr dann eures Wandels und aller eurer schlimmen Thaten gedenken, durch die ihr euch verunreinigt habt, und werdet vor euch selbst Ekel empfinden wegen aller der Schlechtigkeiten, die ihr begangen gabt.
44 And you will know that I [am] Yahweh when do I with you for [the] sake of name my not according to ways your wicked and according to practices your corrupt O house of Israel [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh.
Und ihr sollt erkennen, daß ich Jahwe bin, wenn ich so mit euch verfahre um meines Namens willen, nicht gemäß eurem bösen Wandel und euren verruchten Thaten, o Haus Israel, ist der Spruch des Herrn Jahwe.
45 And it came [the] word of Yahweh to me saying.
Und das Wort Jahwes erging an mich folgendermaßen:
46 O son of humankind set face your [the] direction south-ward and prophesy against [the] south and prophesy against [the] forest of the field [the] south.
Menschensohn, richte dein Angesicht nach Süden zu und ergieße deine Rede gegen Mittag und weissage wider den Wald des Gefildes im Südland
47 And you will say to [the] forest of the south hear [the] word of Yahweh thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh here I [am] about to kindle in you - a fire and it will consume in you every tree moist and every tree dry not it will be extinguished [the] flame of flame and they will be scorched by it all faces from [the] south [the] north towards.
und sprich zum Walde des Südlandes: Höre das Wort Jahwes! So spricht der Herr Jahwe: Fürwahr, ich zünde ein Feuer in dir an, das soll alle frischen Bäume und alle dürren Bäume in dir verzehren. Die Flammenlohe soll nicht erlöschen, und alle gesichter vom Südlande bis zum Norden sollen durch sie versengt werden.
48 And they will see all flesh that I Yahweh I have kindled it not it will be extinguished.
Und alles Fleisch soll sehen, daß ich, Jahwe, sie entzündet habe; sie soll nicht erlöschen.
49 And I said alas! O Lord Yahweh they [are] saying of me ¿ not making a parable parables [is] he.
Da sprach ich: Wehe, Herr Jahwe! Sie sagen von mir: Trägt der nicht immer Gedichte vor?
