Ezekiel 18

1 And it came [the] word of Yahweh to me saying.

Et la parole de l’Éternel vint à moi, disant:

2 What? [is] to you you [are] speaking a proverb the proverb this on [the] land of Israel saying parents they eat sour grape[s] and [the] teeth of the children (they are blunt. *LA(bh)*)

Que voulez-vous dire, vous qui usez de ce proverbe dans la terre d’Israël, disant: Les pères mangent du raisin vert, et les dents des fils en sont agacées?

3 [by] [the] life Of me [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh if it will belong to you again to speak a proverb the proverb this in Israel.

Je suis vivant, dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel, si vous usez encore de ce proverbe en Israël!

4 Here! all lives [belong] to me they as [the] life of the parent and as [the] life of the child [belong] to me they the soul which sins it it will die.

Voici, toutes les âmes sont à moi; comme l’âme du père, ainsi aussi l’âme du fils est à moi: l’âme qui péchera, celle-là mourra.

5 And anyone for he will be righteous and he will do justice and righteousness.

Et si un homme est juste, et pratique le jugement et la justice;

6 To the mountains not he has eaten and eyes his not he has lifted up to [the] idols of [the] house of Israel and [the] wife of neighbor his not he has defiled and to a woman menstruation not he drew near.

s’il n’a pas mangé sur les montagnes, et s’il n’a pas levé ses yeux vers les idoles de la maison d’Israël, et n’a pas rendu impure la femme de son prochain, et ne s’est pas approché d’une femme pendant sa séparation,

7 And anyone not he oppressed pledge his a debt he returned robbery not he robbed food his to [the] hungry he gave and [the] naked he covered clothing.

et s’il n’a opprimé personne; s’il a rendu le gage de sa créance, n’a pas commis de rapine, a donné son pain à celui qui avait faim, et a couvert d’un vêtement celui qui était nu;

8 For interest not he lent and interest not he took from injustice he turned away hand his justice of faithfulness he did between a person and a person.

s’il n’a pas donné à intérêt, et n’a pas pris d’usure; s’il a détourné sa main de l’iniquité, a rendu un jugement juste entre homme et homme,

9 In statutes my he walked and judgments my he has kept by doing faithfulness [is] righteous he certainly he will live [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh.

a marché dans mes statuts, et a gardé mes ordonnances pour agir fidèlement, celui-là est juste: certainement il vivra, dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel.

10 And he will father a son violent [who] sheds blood and he will do alas! any one of these [things].

Et s’il a engendré un fils qui soit un homme violent, qui verse le sang, et qui fasse seulement l’une de ces choses,

11 And he all these [things] not he did for also to the mountains he has eaten and [the] wife of neighbor his he has defiled.

et de ces autres choses n’en fasse aucune, – qui aussi a mangé sur les montagnes, a rendu impure la femme de son prochain,

12 [the] poor And [the] needy he has oppressed robberies he has robbed a pledge not he returned and to the idols he has lifted up eyes his abomination he has done.

a foulé l’affligé et le pauvre, a commis des rapines, n’a pas rendu le gage, a levé ses yeux vers les idoles, a commis l’abomination,

13 For interest he has lent and interest he has taken and will he live? not he will live all the abominations these he has done certainly he will be put to death blood his on him it will be.

a donné à intérêt, et a pris de l’usure: vivra-t-il? Il ne vivra pas, il a fait toutes ces abominations: certainement il mourra, son sang sera sur lui.

14 And there! he has fathered a child and he has seen all [the] sins of father his which he did and he saw and not he did like them.

Mais voici, s’il a engendré un fils qui voie tous les péchés que son père a commis, et qui y prenne garde, et ne fasse pas selon ces choses:

15 On the mountains not he has eaten and eyes his not he has lifted up to [the] idols of [the] house of Israel [the] wife of neighbor his not he has defiled.

il n’a pas mangé sur les montagnes, et n’a pas levé ses yeux vers les idoles de la maison d’Israël; il n’a pas rendu impure la femme de son prochain,

16 And anyone not he has oppressed a pledge not he has taken as pledge and robbery not he has robbed food his to [the] hungry he has given and [the] naked he has covered clothing.

et n’a opprimé personne; il n’a pas pris de gage, et n’a pas commis de rapine; il a donné son pain à celui qui avait faim, et a couvert d’un vêtement celui qui était nu;

17 From [the] poor he has turned away hand his interest and interest not he has taken judgments my he has done in statutes my he has walked he not he will die for [the] iniquity of father his certainly he will live.

il a détourné sa main de dessus l’affligé, il n’a pas pris d’intérêt ni d’usure, il a pratiqué mes ordonnances [et] a marché dans mes statuts: celui-là ne mourra pas pour l’iniquité de son père; certainement il vivra.

18 Father his for he has extorted extortion he has robbed robbery of a brother and [that] which not [was] good he has done in among people his and there! he will die for iniquity his.

Quant à son père, parce qu’il a pratiqué l’extorsion, qu’il a commis des rapines contre son frère, et a fait au milieu de son peuple ce qui n’est pas bien, voici, il mourra dans son iniquité.

19 And you say why? not has he borne the child in [the] iniquity of the parent and the child justice and righteousness he has done all statutes my he has kept and he has done them certainly he will live.

Et vous direz: Pourquoi le fils ne portera-t-il pas l’iniquité de son père? Mais le fils a pratiqué le jugement et la justice, il a gardé tous mes statuts et les a pratiqués: certainement il vivra.

20 The soul which sins it it will die a child not he will bear - in [the] iniquity of the parent and a parent not he will bear in [the] iniquity of the child [the] righteousness of the righteous [person] on him it will be and [the] wickedness of (the wicked [person] *Q(K)*) on him it will be.

L’âme qui a péché, celle-là mourra. Le fils ne portera pas l’iniquité du père, et le père ne portera pas l’iniquité du fils; la justice du juste sera sur lui, et la méchanceté du méchant sera sur lui.

21 And the wicked [person] if he will turn away from all (sins his *Q(K)*) which he has done and he will keep all (statutes my *LAB(h)*) and he will do justice and righteousness certainly he will live not he will die.

Et le méchant, s’il se détourne de tous ses péchés qu’il a commis, et qu’il garde tous mes statuts, et qu’il pratique le jugement et la justice, certainement il vivra; il ne mourra pas.

22 All transgressions his which he has done not they will be remembered to him for righteousness his which he has done he will live.

De toutes ses transgressions qu’il aura commises, aucune ne viendra en mémoire contre lui; dans sa justice qu’il a pratiquée, il vivra.

23 ¿ Really do I take pleasure in [the] death of [the] wicked [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh ¿ not when turning back he from ways his and he will live.

Est-ce que je prends plaisir à la mort du méchant? dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel; n’est-ce pas [plutôt] à ce qu’il se détourne de ses voies, et qu’il vive?

24 And when turns away [the] righteous from righteousness his and he will do injustice according to all the abominations which he did the wicked [person] he will do and will he live? all (righteousness his *Q(K)*) which he did not they will be remembered for unfaithfulness his which he has acted unfaithfully and for sin his which he has sinned for them he will die.

Et si le juste se détourne de sa justice et commet l’iniquité, faisant selon toutes les abominations que le méchant commet, vivra-t-il? De tous ses actes justes qu’il aura faits, aucun ne viendra en mémoire; dans son iniquité qu’il aura commise et dans son péché qu’il a fait, en eux il mourra.

25 And you say not it is correct [the] way of [the] Lord listen please O house of Israel ¿ way my not is it correct ¿ not ways your not are they correct.

Et vous dites: La voie du Seigneur n’est pas réglée. Écoutez donc, maison d’Israël: Ma voie n’est-elle pas réglée? Ne sont-ce pas vos voies qui ne sont pas réglées?

26 When turns away [the] righteous from righteousness his and he will do injustice and he will die on them for injustice his which he has done he will die.

Quand le juste se détournera de sa justice, et qu’il pratiquera l’iniquité, il mourra pour cela; dans son iniquité qu’il aura commise, il mourra.

27 And when turns away [the] wicked from wickedness his which he has done and he did justice and righteousness he life his he will preserve alive.

Et quand le méchant se détournera de sa méchanceté qu’il aura commise, et qu’il pratiquera le jugement et la justice, celui-là fera vivre son âme.

28 And he saw (and he turned away *Q(k)*) from all transgressions his which he had done certainly he will live not he will die.

Puisqu’il prend garde, et se détourne de toutes ses transgressions qu’il a commises, certainement il vivra, il ne mourra point.

29 And they say [the] house of Israel not it is correct [the] way of [the] Lord ¿ ways my not are they correct O house of Israel ¿ not ways your not is it correct.

Et la maison d’Israël dit: La voie du Seigneur n’est pas réglée. Maison d’Israël! mes voies ne sont-elles pas réglées? Ne sont-ce pas vos voies qui ne sont pas réglées?

30 Therefore everyone according to ways his I will judge you O house of Israel [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh turn back and turn away from all transgressions your and not it will become for you a stumbling block iniquity.

C’est pourquoi je vous jugerai, chacun selon ses voies, maison d’Israël, dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel. Revenez, et détournez-vous de toutes vos transgressions, et l’iniquité ne vous sera pas une pierre d’achoppement.

31 Throw away from with you all transgressions your which you have transgressed by them and make for yourselves a heart new and a spirit new and why? will you die O house of Israel.

Jetez loin de vous toutes vos transgressions dans lesquelles vous vous êtes rebellés, et faites-vous un cœur nouveau et un esprit nouveau; et pourquoi mourriez-vous, maison d’Israël?

32 For not I take pleasure in [the] death of the [one who] dies [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh and turn away and live.

Car je ne prends point plaisir à la mort de celui qui meurt, dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel. Revenez donc, et vivez.
