Ezekiel 17
1 And it came [the] word of Yahweh to me saying.
Seyè a pale avè m' ankò, li di m' konsa:
2 O son of humankind ask a riddle a riddle and speak a parable a parable concerning [the] house of Israel.
-Nonm o! Bay moun pèp Izrayèl yo yon pawoli. Rakonte yo yon parabòl.
3 And you will say thus he says - [the] Lord Yahweh the eagle great great of wings long of pinion full plumage which [belonged] to it variegated plumage it came to Lebanon and it took [the] treetop of the cedar.
Di yo men mesaj Seyè sèl Mèt la voye ba yo: Vwala, se te yon gwo gwo malfini ak zèl li yo byen laj. Plim li yo te long epi yo te tout kalite koulè. Li vole li ale nan peyi Liban, li kase tèt yon pye sèd.
4 [the] top Shoots its it plucked off and it brought it to a land of merchant[s] in a city of traders it placed it.
Li pran l', li pote l' ale nan yon peyi kote moun se trafik ase y'ap fè la. Li mete l' nan yon lavil kote se kòmèsan ase ki rete la.
5 And it took one of [the] seed of the land and it put it in a field of seed take [it] at waters many a willow it placed it.
Lèfini, li pran yon ti plan nan peyi Izrayèl la, li plante l' nan yon bon venn tè, toupre yon larivyè ki toujou plen dlo, pou l' ka grandi tankou yon pye sikren.
6 And it sprouted and it became a vine spreading low of stature to turn branches its to it and roots its under it they were and it became a vine and it produced shoots and it sent out boughs.
Ti plan an pran, li fè yon bèl pye rezen ki pa twò wo. Branch li yo grandi, yo moute nan direksyon malfini an, men rasin li yo menm desann fon anba tè. Li bay yon bèl pye rezen ak anpil branch plen fèy.
7 And it was an eagle one great great of wings and great of plumage and there! the vine this it bent roots its on it and branches its it sent out to it to water it from [the] beds of planting its.
Te vin gen yon lòt gwo malfini ak gwo zèl byen laj ak anpil plim sou li. Lè sa a, pye rezen an pouse rasin nan direksyon malfini sa a. Li vire tout branch li yo nan direksyon l' tou. Li te konprann malfini sa a tapral wouze l' pi byen pase jaden kote l' te plante a.
8 To a field good to waters many it [was] planted to produce branch[es] and to bear fruit to become a vine of splendor.
Men, pye rezen an te deja plante nan yon bon venn tè, kote yon kannal ki toujou gen dlo, pou l' te ka fè fèy, pou l' te ka donnen, pou li te ka rive fè yon bèl pye rezen.
9 Say thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh will it prosper? ¿ not roots its will it pull up and fruit its - will it strip off? and it will wither all [the] fresh [things] of growth its it will wither and not by an arm great and by a people numerous to lift up it from roots its.
Di yo men mesaj Seyè sèl Mèt la voye ba yo: Eske pye rezen an ap grandi vre? Eske premye malfini an p'ap dechouke l', rache tout grap rezen l' yo, kase tout branch li yo pou yo mouri? Li p'ap bezwen anpil fòs ni yon lame moun pou l' dechouke l'.
10 And there! [it is] planted ¿ will it prosper ¿ not when touches it [the] wind of the east will it wither completely on [the] beds of growth its it will wither.
Wi, yo te plante l'. Men, èske l'ap grandi? Eske li p'ap mouri lè van lès la va soufle sou li? Eske li p'ap mouri lamenm kote li t'ap pouse a?
11 And it came [the] word of Yahweh to me saying.
Seyè a pale avè m', li di m' konsa:
12 Say please to [the] house of rebellion ¿ not do you know what? [are] these [things] say there! he went [the] king of Babylon Jerusalem and he took king its and princes its and he brought them to himself Babylon towards.
-Pale ak bann moun tèt di sa yo. Mande yo si yo konprann sans parabòl la. Di yo konsa: Wa lavil Babilòn lan te vini lavil Jerizalèm, li pran wa a ansanm ak tout chèf li yo, li mennen yo ansanm avè l' lavil Babilòn.
13 And he took one of [the] offspring of royalty and he made with him a covenant and he made go him in an oath and [the] leaders of the land he took.
Li pran yon moun nan fanmi wa a, li pase kontra avè l', li fè l' sèmante pou l' toujou soumèt devan li. Li pran tout grannèg ki nan peyi a, li fè yo prizonye, li depòte yo.
14 To be a kingdom lowly to not to exalt itself to keep covenant his to continue it.
Konsa, li sèten peyi a va rete tou piti anba men l', yo p'ap ka leve tèt devan li, y'a toujou kenbe kontra li te pase ak yo a.
15 And he rebelled against him by sending messengers his Egypt to give to him horses and a people numerous ¿ will he prosper ¿ will he escape the [one who] does these [things] and will he break? a covenant and will he escape?
Men, wa peyi Jida a revòlte. Li voye mesaje nan peyi Lejip al chache chwal ak anpil sòlda. Eske l'ap rive fè sa li vle fè a? Eske li ka soti nan sitiyasyon kote l' ye a? Depi li kase kontra a, fòk li peye l'.
16 [by] [the] life Of me [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh if not in [the] place of the king who made king him whom he despised oath his and whom he broke covenant his with him in [the] midst of Babylon he will die.
Se mwen menm, Seyè sèl Mèt la, k'ap pale: Jan nou konnen mwen vivan vre a, wa a pral lavil Babilòn, paske li te kase kontra a, li pa t' respekte kondisyon li te pase ak wa lavil Babilòn lan ki te mete l' la pou gouvènen peyi a.
17 And not with an army large and with a company great he will do with him Pharaoh in battle when pour out a mound and when build a siege-wall to cut off lives many.
Farawon an te mèt vini ak yon gwo lame ansanm ak anpil sòlda, li p'ap ka ede l' goumen nan lagè a, lè moun Babilòn yo va vin moute ranblè ak fouye gwo kannal pou yo touye moun san gad dèyè.
18 And he despised [the] oath by breaking [the] covenant and there! he had given hand his and all these [things] he did not he will escape.
Wa peyi Izrayèl la pa respekte pawòl li, li kase kontra a. Malgre angajman li te pran yo, li fè tout bagay sa yo. Sa p'ap pase konsa pou li.
19 Therefore thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh [by] [the] life of me if not oath my which he despised and covenant my which he broke and I will requite it on own head his.
Se poutèt sa, men sa Seyè Sèl Mèt la di: Jan nou konnen mwen vivan vre a, ou pa respekte pawòl ou avè m'. Ou pa kenbe kontra mwen te pase avè ou la. Mwen gen pou m' pini ou pou sa.
20 And I will spread over him net my and he will be caught in hunting net my and I will bring him Babylon towards and I will enter into judgment with him there unfaithfulness his which he has acted unfaithfully against me.
M'ap voye privye m' sou ou, w'ap pran nan may yo, m'ap trennen ou lavil Babilòn. Se la m'ap pini ou pou kenbe ou pa te kenbe pawòl ou avè m'.
21 And all (fugitives his *Q(K)*) among all troops his by the sword they will fall and the [ones who] survive to every wind they will be scattered and you will know that I Yahweh I have spoken.
Tout pi bon sòlda li yo pral mouri nan lagè. Sa ki chape yo, yo pral gaye yo toupatou sou latè. Lè sa a, n'a konnen se mwen menm, Seyè a, ki pale.
22 Thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh and I will take I from [the] treetop of the cedar high and I will place [it] from [the] top of young shoots its a tender [shoot] I will pluck off and I will plant [it] I on a mountain high and lofty.
Men sa Seyè sèl Mèt la di: -M'ap koupe boujon tèt yon pye sèd ki byen wo. M'ap kase yon jenn ti boujon nan branch ki pi wo yo. M'ap plante l' sou tèt yon mòn byen wo,
23 On [the] mountain of [the] height of Israel I will plant it and it will bear branch[es] and it will produce fruit and it will become a cedar majestic and they will dwell under it every bird every wing in [the] shadow of branches its they will dwell.
sou tèt mòn ki pi wo nan peyi Izrayèl la. L'ap fè branch, l'ap donnen. L'ap vin fè yon bèl bèl pye sèd. Tout kalite zwezo pral rete ladan l'. Y'ap pare solèy nan lonbraj branch li yo.
24 And they will know all [the] trees of the field that I Yahweh I bring low - a tree tall I raise up a tree low I make dry a tree moist and I make sprout a tree dry I Yahweh I have spoken and I will act.
Tout pyebwa nan peyi a va konnen se mwen menm ki Seyè a. Mwen koupe gwo pyebwa yo mete atè. Ti pyebwa piti yo, m'ap fè yo grandi. Mwen cheche pyebwa ki vèt yo. Pyebwa ki fin mouri yo, mwen fè yo boujonnen ankò. Se mwen menm Seyè a ki pale. Sa mwen di m'ap fè a, m'ap fè l'.
