Ezekiel 15
1 And it came [the] word of Yahweh to me saying.
Me llegó un mensaje del Señor que decía:
2 O son of humankind what? is it [the] wood of the vine more than any tree the vine branch which it is among [the] trees of the forest.
“Hijo de hombre, ¿es mejor la madera de la vid que la de cualquier otro árbol del bosque?
3 ¿ Is it taken from it wood to make into a product or? do people take from it a peg to hang on it any vessel.
¿Puedes hacer algo útil con la madera de la vid? ¿Puedes usarla para hacer aunque sea una clavija para colgar ollas y sartenes?
4 There! to the fire it is given for fuel [the] two ends its it consumes the fire and [the] middle of it it is charred ¿ is it successful for a product.
“No, sólo hay que echarla al fuego para mantenerlo encendido. Incluso así, el fuego quema los dos extremos, pero sólo carboniza la parte del centro. ¿Se puede utilizar para algo?
5 There! when was it complete not it was made into a product indeed? if a fire it has consumed it and it has been charred and will it be made? again into a product.
Ni siquiera antes de quemarla podrías convertirla en algo útil. Y aún es menos útil una vez que el fuego la ha quemado y carbonizado.
6 Therefore thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh just as [the] wood of the vine among [the] tree[s] of the forest which I have given it to the fire for fuel so I have given [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem.
“Así que esto es lo que dice el Señor Dios: De la misma manera que he tomado la madera de una vid del bosque y la he arrojado al fuego para que se queme, así voy a arrojar al pueblo de Jerusalén.
7 And I will set face my on them from the fire they have come out and the fire it will consume them and you will know that I [am] Yahweh when set I face my on them.
Me volveré contra ellos. Aunque hayan escapado de este fuego, otro fuego los va a quemar. Cuando me vuelva contra ellos, entonces sabrán que yo soy el Señor.
8 And I will make the land a desolation because they have acted unfaithfully unfaithfulness [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh.
“Voy a convertir el país en un desierto, porque me fueron infieles, declara el Señor Dios”.
