Ezekiel 11

1 And it lifted up me a spirit and it brought me to [the] gate of [the] house of Yahweh eastern which faces east-ward and there! [were] at [the] entrance of the gate twenty and five man and I saw in midst of them Jaazaniah [the] son of Azzur and Pelatiah [the] son of Benaiah [the] leaders of the people.

L’esprit m’enleva, et me transporta à la porte orientale de la maison de l’Éternel, à celle qui regarde l’orient. Et voici, à l’entrée de la porte, il y avait vingt-cinq hommes; et je vis au milieu d’eux Jaazania, fils d’Azzur, et Pelathia, fils de Benaja, chefs du peuple.

2 And he said to me O son of humankind these [are] the people who plan wickedness and who counsel counsel of evil in the city this.

Et l’Éternel me dit: Fils de l’homme, ce sont les hommes qui méditent l’iniquité, et qui donnent de mauvais conseils dans cette ville.

3 Who say not [is] in [the] near [future] to build houses it [is] the pot and we [are] the meat.

Ils disent: Ce n’est pas le moment! Bâtissons des maisons! La ville est la chaudière, et nous sommes la viande.

4 Therefore prophesy on them prophesy O son of humankind.

C’est pourquoi prophétise contre eux, prophétise, fils de l’homme!

5 And it fell on me [the] spirit of Yahweh and he said to me say thus he says Yahweh thus you have said O house of Israel and [the] thoughts of spirit your I I know it.

Alors l’esprit de l’Éternel tomba sur moi. Et il me dit: Dis: Ainsi parle l’Éternel: Vous parlez de la sorte, maison d’Israël! Et ce qui vous monte à la pensée, je le sais.

6 You have multiplied slain [ones] your in the city this and you have filled streets its [the] slain.

Vous avez multiplié les meurtres dans cette ville, Vous avez rempli les rues de cadavres.

7 Therefore thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh slain [ones] your which you have put in [the] midst of it they [are] the meat and it [is] the pot and you he will bring out from [the] midst of it.

C’est pourquoi ainsi parle le Seigneur, l’Éternel: Vos morts que vous avez étendus au milieu d’elle, C’est la viande, et elle, c’est la chaudière; Mais vous, on vous en fera sortir.

8 A sword you have feared and a sword I will bring on you [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh.

Vous avez peur de l’épée, Et je ferai venir sur vous l’épée, Dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel.

9 And I will bring out you from [the] midst of it and I will give you in [the] hand of strangers and I will bring about on you judgments.

Je vous ferai sortir du milieu d’elle, Je vous livrerai entre les mains des étrangers, Et j’exercerai contre vous mes jugements.

10 By the sword you will fall on [the] territory of Israel I will judge you and you will know that I [am] Yahweh.

Vous tomberez par l’épée, Je vous jugerai sur la frontière d’Israël, Et vous saurez que je suis l’Éternel.

11 It not it will become for you a pot and you you will become in [the] midst of it meat to [the] border of Israel I will judge you.

La ville ne sera pas pour vous une chaudière, Et vous ne serez pas la viande au milieu d’elle: C’est sur la frontière d’Israël que je vous jugerai.

12 And you will know that I [am] Yahweh whom in statutes my not you have walked and judgments my not you have done and according to [the] judgments of the nations which [are] around you you have done.

Et vous saurez que je suis l’Éternel, Dont vous n’avez pas suivi les ordonnances Et pratiqué les lois; Mais vous avez agi selon les lois des nations qui vous entourent.

13 And it was when prophesied I and Pelatiah [the] son of Benaiah he died and I fell on face my and I cried out a voice great and I said alas! O Lord Yahweh complete destruction [are] you? making with [the] remnant of Israel.

Comme je prophétisais, Pelathia, fils de Benaja, mourut. Je tombai sur ma face, et je m’écriai à haute voix: Ah! Seigneur Éternel, anéantiras-tu ce qui reste d’Israël?

14 And it came [the] word of Yahweh to me saying.

Et la parole de l’Éternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:

15 O son of humankind brothers your brothers your [the] people of redemption your and all [the] house of Israel all of it whom they said to them [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem be distant from with Yahweh to us it it has been given the land to a possession.

Fils de l’homme, ce sont tes frères, tes frères, Ceux de ta parenté, et la maison d’Israël tout entière, A qui les habitants de Jérusalem disent: Restez loin de l’Éternel, Le pays nous a été donné en propriété.

16 Therefore say thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh that I have removed far away them among the nations and that I have scattered them among the lands and I have become for them a sanctuary a little in the lands where they have gone there.

C’est pourquoi tu diras: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l’Éternel: Si je les tiens éloignés parmi les nations, Si je les ai dispersés en divers pays, Je serai pour eux quelque temps un asile Dans les pays où ils sont venus.

17 Therefore say thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh and I will gather you from the peoples and I will gather you from the lands which you have been scattered among them and I will give to you [the] land of Israel.

C’est pourquoi tu diras: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l’Éternel: Je vous rassemblerai du milieu des peuples, Je vous recueillerai des pays où vous êtes dispersés, Et je vous donnerai la terre d’Israël.

18 And they will come there towards and they will remove all detestable things its and all abominations its from it.

C’est là qu’ils iront, Et ils en ôteront toutes les idoles et toutes les abominations.

19 And I will give to them a heart one and a spirit new I will put in inner being your and I will remove [the] heart of stone from flesh their and I will give to them a heart of flesh.

Je leur donnerai un même cœur, Et je mettrai en vous un esprit nouveau; J’ôterai de leur corps le cœur de pierre, Et je leur donnerai un cœur de chair,

20 So that in statutes my they may walk and judgments my they may keep and they will do them and they will become for me a people and I I will become for them God.

Afin qu’ils suivent mes ordonnances, Et qu’ils observent et pratiquent mes lois; Et ils seront mon peuple, et je serai leur Dieu.

21 And to [the] heart of detestable things their and abominations their heart their [is] going conduct their on own head their I will requite [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh.

Mais pour ceux dont le cœur se plaît à leurs idoles et à leurs abominations, Je ferai retomber leurs œuvres sur leur tête, Dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel.

22 And they lifted up the cherubim wings their and the wheels [were] close by them and [the] glory of [the] God of Israel [was] above them from to above.

Les chérubins déployèrent leurs ailes, accompagnés des roues; et la gloire du Dieu d’Israël était sur eux, en haut.

23 And it went up [the] glory of Yahweh from over [the] middle of the city and it stood still over the mountain which [was] from [the] east of the city.

La gloire de l’Éternel s’éleva du milieu de la ville, et elle se plaça sur la montagne qui est à l’orient de la ville.

24 And a spirit it lifted up me and it brought me Chaldea towards to the exile[s] in the vision by [the] spirit of God and it went up from on me the vision which I had seen.

L’esprit m’enleva, et me transporta en Chaldée auprès des captifs, en vision par l’esprit de Dieu; et la vision que j’avais eue disparut au-dessus de moi.

25 And I spoke to the exile[s] all [the] words of Yahweh which he had shown me.

Je dis aux captifs toutes les paroles de l’Éternel, qu’il m’avait révélées.
