Ezekiel 1
1 And it was - in thirty year in the fourth [month] on [day] five of the month and I [was] in among the exile[s] at [the] river of Kebar they were opened the heavens and I saw visions of God.
Or, la trentième année, le quatrième mois, le cinquième jour du mois, comme j'étais au milieu des captifs près du fleuve Kebar, les cieux s'ouvrirent, et je vis des visions de Dieu.
2 On [day] five of the month it [was] the year fifth of [the] exile of the king Jehoiachin.
Le 5 du mois, qui était la cinquième année de la captivité du roi Jojakin,
3 Expressly it came [the] word of Yahweh to Ezekiel [the] son of Buzi the priest in [the] land of [the] Chaldeans at [the] river of Kebar and it was on him there [the] hand of Yahweh.
la parole de Yahvé fut adressée à Ézéchiel, le prêtre, fils de Buzi, au pays des Chaldéens, près du fleuve Kebar; et la main de Yahvé était là sur lui.
4 And I saw and there! a wind of storm [was] coming from the north a cloud great and fire flashing and brightness [belonged] to it all around and [was] from [the] middle of it like [the] appearance of shining substance from [the] middle of the fire.
Je regardai, et voici, un vent impétueux venait du septentrion: c'était une grande nuée, avec des éclairs étincelants, et un éclat autour d'elle, et au milieu d'elle comme un métal incandescent, au milieu du feu.
5 And [was] from [the] middle of it a likeness of four living creatures and this [was] appearance their a likeness of a human [belonged] to them.
De son centre sortait l'image de quatre êtres vivants. Telle était leur apparence: Ils avaient la ressemblance d'un homme.
6 And four faces [belonged] to one and four wings [belonged] to one of them.
Tous avaient quatre visages, et chacun d'eux avait quatre ailes.
7 And feet their [was] a foot straight and [the] sole of feet their [was] like [the] sole of [the] foot of a calf and [they were] gleaming like [the] appearance of bronze burnished.
Leurs pieds étaient des pieds droits. La plante de leurs pieds était comme la plante du pied d'un veau, et ils étincelaient comme de l'airain poli.
8 (And [the] hands of *Q(K)*) a human [were] under wings their on [the] four sides their and faces their and wings their [belonged] to [the] four of them.
Ils avaient les mains d'un homme sous leurs ailes, sur leurs quatre côtés. Tous les quatre avaient leur visage et leurs ailes ainsi:
9 [were] touching Each sister its wings their not they turned when moved they each to [the] side of face its they moved.
Leurs ailes étaient jointes l'une à l'autre. Ils ne se tournaient pas quand ils allaient. Chacun allait droit devant lui.
10 And [the] likeness of faces their [was the] face of a human and [the] face of a lion to the right [side] [belonged] to [the] four of them and [the] face of an ox from the left [side] [belonged] to [the] four of them and [the] face of an eagle [belonged] to [the] four of them.
Quant à la ressemblance de leurs visages, ils avaient un visage d'homme. Les quatre autres avaient à droite la face d'un lion. Les quatre autres avaient, à gauche, une face de bœuf. Les quatre autres avaient une face d'aigle.
11 And faces their and wings their [were] spread out from to above each two [wings] [were] touching each and two [wings] [were] covering bodies their.
Tels étaient leurs visages. Leurs ailes étaient étendues en haut. Deux de leurs ailes se touchaient, et deux recouvraient leur corps.
12 And each to [the] side of face its they moved to where it was there the spirit [about] to go they moved not they turned when moved they.
Chacun allait droit devant lui. Là où l'esprit devait aller, ils allaient. Ils ne se retournaient pas en allant.
13 And [the] likeness of the living creatures appearance their [was] like coals of fire burning like [the] appearance of torches it [was] moving about between the living creatures and brightness [belonged] to the fire and from the fire [was] coming out lightning.
Quant à la ressemblance des êtres vivants, leur aspect était comme des charbons ardents, comme l'aspect de torches. Le feu montait et descendait parmi les êtres vivants. Le feu était brillant, et des éclairs sortaient du feu.
14 And the living creatures they were running and they were returning like [the] appearance of lightning.
Les êtres vivants couraient et revenaient comme l'aspect d'un éclair.
15 And I saw the living creatures and there! a wheel one [was] on the ground beside the living creatures for [the] four faces its.
Comme je voyais les êtres vivants, voici, il y avait sur la terre, à côté des êtres vivants, une roue pour chacune de ses quatre faces.
16 [the] appearance of The wheels and construction their [was] like [the] appearance of chrysolite and a likeness one [belonged] to [the] four of them and appearance their and construction their [was] just as it was the wheel in [the] middle of the wheel.
L'aspect des roues et de leur travail était semblable à un béryl. Les quatre roues avaient la même apparence. Leur aspect et leur travail étaient comme une roue dans une roue.
17 On [the] four sides their when moved they they moved not they turned when moved they.
Quand elles allaient, elles allaient dans leurs quatre directions. Ils ne tournaient pas en marchant.
18 And rims their and height [belonged] to them and fear [belonged] to them and rims their [were] full of eyes all around to [the] four of them.
Leurs bords étaient hauts et redoutables, et les quatre avaient leurs bords remplis d'yeux tout autour.
19 And when moved the living creatures they moved the wheels beside them and when were lifted up the living creatures from on the ground they were lifted up the wheels.
Quand les êtres vivants allaient, les roues allaient à côté d'eux. Quand les êtres vivants étaient soulevés de la terre, les roues étaient soulevées.
20 To where it was there the spirit [about] to go they moved there towards the spirit to go and the wheels they were lifted up close by them for [the] spirit of the living creature [was] in the wheels.
Là où l'esprit devait aller, elles allaient. L'esprit devait aller là. Les roues s'élevaient à côté d'eux, car l'esprit de l'être vivant était dans les roues.
21 When moved they they moved and when stood still they they stood still and when were lifted up they from on the ground they were lifted up the wheels close by them for [the] spirit of the living creature [was] in the wheels.
Quand ils allaient, ceux-ci allaient. Quand ils se tenaient debout, ils se tenaient debout. Quand ils étaient enlevés de la terre, les roues étaient élevées à côté d'eux, car l'esprit de l'être vivant était dans les roues.
22 And a likeness [was] above [the] heads of the living creature an expanse like [the] appearance of frost awesome spread out above heads their from to above.
Au-dessus de la tête de l'être vivant, il y avait une sorte d'étendue, comme un cristal impressionnant à regarder, qui s'étendait au-dessus de leurs têtes.
23 And under the expanse wings their [were] straight each to sister its [belonged] to each two [wings] covering them [belonged] to each two [wings] covering them bodies their.
Sous l'étendue, leurs ailes étaient droites, l'une vers l'autre. Chacun en avait deux qui le couvraient de ce côté, et chacun en avait deux qui couvraient son corps de ce côté.
24 And I heard [the] sound of wings their like [the] sound of waters many like [the] sound of [the] Almighty when moved they [the] sound of a rainstorm like [the] sound of an army when stood still they they let drop wings their.
Quand ils partaient, j'entendais le bruit de leurs ailes comme le bruit de grandes eaux, comme la voix du Tout-Puissant, un bruit de tumulte comme le bruit d'une armée. Quand ils se sont arrêtés, ils ont laissé tomber leurs ailes.
25 And it came a sound above the expanse which [was] above head their when stood still they they let drop wings their.
Il y eut une voix au-dessus de l'étendue qui était au-dessus de leurs têtes. Quand ils se tinrent debout, ils abaissèrent leurs ailes.
26 And [was] from above the expanse which [was] above head their like [the] appearance of a stone of sapphire [the] likeness of a throne and [was] on [the] likeness of the throne a likeness like [the] appearance of a human on it from to above.
Au-dessus de l'étendue qui était au-dessus de leurs têtes, il y avait la ressemblance d'un trône, comme l'apparence d'une pierre de saphir. Sur la ressemblance du trône était une ressemblance comme l'apparence d'un homme au-dessus.
27 And I saw - like [the] appearance of a shining substance like [the] appearance of fire within to it [was] all around from [the] appearance of hips his and upwards and from [the] appearance of hips his and downwards I saw like [the] appearance of fire and brightness of him [was] all around.
Je vis comme un métal incandescent, comme l'apparence du feu en lui tout autour, depuis l'apparence de sa taille et en haut; et depuis l'apparence de sa taille et en bas, je vis comme l'apparence du feu, et il y avait de l'éclat autour de lui.
28 Like [the] appearance of rainbow which it is in the cloud[s] on [the] day of rain so [the] appearance of the brightness all around that [was] [the] appearance of [the] likeness of [the] glory of Yahweh and I saw [it] and I fell on face my and I heard a voice speaking.
Comme l'apparence de l'arc-en-ciel qui est dans la nuée au jour de la pluie, ainsi était l'apparence de la clarté tout autour. C'était l'apparition de la ressemblance de la gloire de Yahvé. Quand je la vis, je tombai sur ma face, et j'entendis la voix de quelqu'un qui parlait.
