Exodus 24
1 And to Moses he said come up to Yahweh you and Aaron Nadab and Abihu and seventy of [the] elders of Israel and you will bow down from a distance.
Kisha Mungu akamwambia Mose, “Njooni huku juu kwa Bwana, wewe na Aroni, Nadabu na Abihu, pamoja na wazee sabini wa Israeli. Mniabudu kwa mbali,
2 And he will draw near Moses to only him to Yahweh and they not they will draw near and the people not they will come up with him.
lakini Mose peke yake ndiye atakayemkaribia Bwana; wengine wasije karibu. Nao watu wasije wakapanda pamoja naye.”
3 And he went Moses and he recounted to the people all [the] words of Yahweh and all the judgments and it answered all the people a voice one and they said all the words which he has spoken Yahweh we will do.
Mose alipokwenda na kuwaambia watu maneno yote na sheria zote za Bwana, wakaitikia kwa sauti moja, “Kila kitu alichosema Bwana tutakifanya.”
4 And he wrote Moses all [the] words of Yahweh and he rose early in the morning and he built an altar under the mountain and two [plus] ten pillar[s] for two [plus] ten [the] tribes of Israel.
Ndipo Mose akaandika kila kitu Bwana alichokuwa amesema. Akaamka kesho yake asubuhi na mapema na kujenga madhabahu chini ya mlima na kusimamisha nguzo kumi na mbili za mawe kuwakilisha makabila kumi na mawili ya Israeli.
5 And he sent [the] young men of [the] people of Israel and they offered up burnt offerings and they sacrificed sacrifices peace offerings to Yahweh young bulls.
Kisha akawatuma vijana wanaume wa Kiisraeli, nao wakatoa sadaka za kuteketezwa na dhabihu za mafahali wachanga kuwa sadaka za amani kwa Bwana.
6 And he took Moses half of the blood and he put [it] in bowls and [the] half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.
Mose akachukua nusu ya damu ya wale wanyama na kuiweka kwenye mabakuli na nusu nyingine akainyunyiza juu ya madhabahu.
7 And he took [the] book of the covenant and he read [it] aloud in [the] ears of the people and they said all that he has spoken Yahweh we will do and we may obey.
Kisha akachukua kile Kitabu cha Agano na kuwasomea watu. Nao wakajibu, “Tutafanya kila kitu alichosema Bwana, nasi tutatii.”
8 And he took Moses the blood and he sprinkled [it] on the people and he said here! [the] blood of the covenant which he has made Yahweh with you on all the words these.
Ndipo Mose akachukua ile damu, akawanyunyizia wale watu, akasema, “Hii ni damu ya agano ambalo Bwana amelifanya nanyi kufuatana na maneno haya yote.”
9 And he went up Moses and Aaron Nadab and Abihu and seventy of [the] elders of Israel.
Mose na Aroni, Nadabu na Abihu, pamoja na wazee sabini wa Israeli wakapanda mlimani,
10 And they saw [the] God of Israel and [was] under feet his like [the] working of pavement of sapphire and like [the] substance of the heavens to purity.
nao wakamwona Mungu wa Israeli. Chini ya miguu yake kulikuwa na kitu kama sakafu ya mawe ya yakuti samawi, iliyo safi kama anga angavu.
11 And against [the] nobles of [the] people of Israel not he stretched out hand his and they saw God and they ate and they drank.
Lakini Mungu hakuinua mkono wake dhidi ya hawa viongozi wa Waisraeli; walimwona Mungu, nao wakala na kunywa.
12 And he said Yahweh to Moses come up to me the mountain towards and be there so let me give to you [the] tablets of stone and the law and the commandment which I have written to teach them.
Bwana akamwambia Mose, “Panda uje kwangu huku mlimani na ukae hapa, nami nitakupa vibao vya mawe, vyenye sheria na amri ambazo nimeziandika ziwe mwongozo wao.”
13 And he arose Moses and Joshua servant his and he went up Moses to [the] mountain of God.
Basi Mose akaondoka na Yoshua mtumishi wake, naye Mose akapanda juu kwenye mlima wa Mungu.
14 And to the elders he said remain for us in this [place] until that we will return to you and here! Aaron and Hur [are] with you whoever [is] a master of matters he will draw near to them.
Mose akawaambia wazee wa Israeli, “Tungojeni hapa mpaka tutakapowarudia. Aroni na Huri wako pamoja nanyi, na kila aliye na neno aweza kuwaendea wao.”
15 And he went up Moses to the mountain and it covered the cloud the mountain.
Mose alipopanda juu mlimani, wingu liliufunika huo mlima,
16 And it settled down [the] glory of Yahweh on [the] mountain of Sinai and it covered it the cloud six days and he summoned Moses on the day seventh from [the] middle of the cloud.
nao utukufu wa Bwana ukatua juu ya Mlima Sinai. Kwa muda wa siku sita wingu lilifunika mlima, na siku ya saba Bwana akamwita Mose kutoka katikati ya lile wingu.
17 And [the] appearance of [the] glory of Yahweh [was] like a fire consuming on [the] top of the mountain to [the] eyes of [the] people of Israel.
Kwa Waisraeli utukufu wa Bwana ulionekana kama moto uteketezao juu ya mlima.
18 And he went Moses in [the] midst of the cloud and he went up to the mountain and he was Moses on the mountain forty day[s] and forty night[s].
Kisha Mose akaingia ndani ya lile wingu alivyokuwa akipanda mlimani. Naye akakaa huko mlimani kwa muda wa siku arobaini, usiku na mchana.
