Exodus 22
1 If he will steal anyone an ox or a sheep and he will slaughter it or he has sold it five cattle he will repay in place of the ox and four sheep in place of the sheep.
Si quelqu’un vole un bœuf ou une brebis, et qu’il les tue ou les vende, il restituera cinq bœufs pour un bœuf et quatre brebis pour une brebis.
2 If in breaking in he will be found the thief and he will be struck and he will die there not for him [will be] blood.
Si le voleur est trouvé forçant une maison ou la minant, et qu’il meure d’une blessure reçue, celui qui l’a frappé ne sera pas coupable de son sang.
3 If it has risen the sun on him blood [will be] for him certainly he will make restitution if nothing [belongs] to him and he will be sold for theft his.
Que s’il a fait cela, le soleil levé, il a commis un homicide, et il mourra lui-même. S’il n’a pas de quoi rendre pour le larcin, il sera vendu lui-même.
4 If actually it will be found in hand his the thing stolen from an ox unto a donkey unto a sheep alive twofold he will make restitution.
Si ce qu’il a volé est trouvé chez lui, vivant, soit un bœuf, soit un âne, soit une brebis, il restituera le double.
5 If he will cause to be grazed over anyone a field or a vineyard and he will let go (cattle his *Q(K)*) and it will graze in [the] field of another [person] [the] best of field his and [the] best of vineyard his he will make compensation.
Si quelqu’un endommage un champ ou une vigne, et qu’il laisse aller sa bête, pour qu’elle paisse ce qui est à autrui, il rendra tout ce qu’il aura de meilleur dans son champ, ou dans sa vigne, selon l’estimation du dommage.
6 If it will go forth a fire and it will find thornbushes and it will be consumed a heap of sheaves or the standing grain or the field certainly he will make compensation the [one who] kindled the fire.
Si un feu qui s’élève trouve des épines et gagne un tas de gerbes, ou bien les blés sur pied dans les champs, celui qui a allumé le feu réparera le dommage.
7 If he will give anyone to neighbor his money or articles to keep [them] and it will be stolen from [the] house of the person if he will be found the thief he will make restitution twofold.
Si quelqu’un confie en garde à son ami de l’argent ou un objet quelconque, et qu’il soit volé à celui qui l’a reçu, si le voleur est trouvé, il rendra le double.
8 If not he will be found the thief and he will be brought near [the] master of the house to the judges if not he had stretched out hand his on [the] property of neighbor his.
Si le voleur reste inconnu, le maître de la maison sera conduit aux dieux, et il jurera qu’il n’a pas étendu sa main sur le bien de son prochain,
9 On every matter of transgression on an ox on a donkey on a sheep on a garment on every thing lost which anyone will say that [is] it this to the judges it will come [the] case of both of them [the one] whom they will condemn as guilty! [the] judges he will make restitution twofold to neighbor his.
Pour commettre le vol, soit d’un bœuf, soit d’un âne, d’une brebis, d’un vêtement et de tout ce qui peut porter dommage; c’est devant les dieux que viendra la cause de l’un et de l’autre; et si ceux-ci le condamnent, il restituera le double à son prochain.
10 If he will give anyone to neighbor his a donkey or an ox or a sheep and every animal to keep [it] and it will die or it was maimed or it was captured there not [was one who] saw.
Si quelqu’un confie en garde à son prochain un âne, un bœuf, une brebis, ou toute autre bête, et qu’elle meure, ou dépérisse, ou bien soit prise par les ennemis, et que personne ne l’ait vu,
11 [the] oath of Yahweh it will be between [the] two of them if not he had stretched out hand his on [the] property of neighbor his and he will accept [it] owner its and not he will make compensation.
Interviendra le serment qu’il n’a pas étendu sa main sur le bien de son prochain, et le maître recevra le serment, et celui-là ne sera pas contraint de rendre.
12 And if certainly it will be stolen from with him he will make restitution to owner its.
Que si c’est par un vol que la bête a été enlevée, il réparera le dommage envers le maître.
13 Certainly [if] it will be torn in pieces he will bring it evidence the torn animal not he will make restitution.
Si elle a été mangée par une bête sauvage, qu’il lui apporte ce qui sera resté, et il ne restituera pas.
14 And if he will ask anyone from with neighbor his and it will be maimed or it died owner its not [was] with it certainly he will make restitution.
Si quelqu’un demande en prêt à son prochain quelqu’une de ses bêtes, et qu’elle dépérisse ou meure, le maître n’étant pas présent, il sera forcé de la rendre.
15 If owner its [was] with it not he will make restitution if [was] hired it it came for hire its.
Que si le maître se trouve présent, il ne restituera pas, surtout s’il était venu la louer, pour le prix de son travail.
16 And if he will seduce a man a virgin who not she was betrothed and he will lie with her certainly he will pay [the] bride-price for her for himself to a wife.
Si quelqu’un séduit une vierge non encore fiancée, et dort avec elle, il la dotera et la prendra pour femme.
17 If absolutely he will refuse father her to give her to him silver he will weigh out according to [the] bride-price of virgins.
Si le père de la vierge ne veut pas la donner, il rendra de l’argent selon la dot que les vierges ont coutume de recevoir.
18 A sorceress not you will let live.
Tu ne laisseras pas vivre ceux qui usent de maléfices.
19 Any [one who] lies with an animal certainly he will be put to death.
Que celui qui commet un crime avec une bête, meure de mort.
20 [one who] sacrifices To the gods he will be dedicated to destruction except to Yahweh to only him.
Celui qui sacrifie à d’autres dieux qu’au Seigneur seul sera mis à mort.
21 And a sojourner not you must maltreat and not you must oppress him for sojourners you were in [the] land of Egypt.
Tu ne contristeras point l’étranger, et tu ne l’affligeras point; car vous avez été étrangers vous-mêmes dans la terre d’Egypte.
22 Any widow and a fatherless one not you must afflict!
Vous ne nuirez point à la veuve et à l’orphelin.
23 Certainly [if] you will afflict him that except carefully he will cry out to me certainly I will hear cry of distress his.
Si vous les offensez, ils crieront fortement vers moi, et j’entendrai leur clameur;
24 And it will burn anger my and I will kill you with the sword and they will be wives your widows and children your fatherless ones.
Et ma fureur s’indignera, puis je vous frapperai du glaive, et vos femmes seront veuves et vos fils orphelins.
25 If money - you will lend to people my the poor [person] with you not you must be to him like a creditor not you must put! on him interest.
Si tu prêtes de l’argent à mon peuple pauvre qui habite avec toi, tu ne le presseras point comme un exacteur, et tu ne l’accableras point d’usures.
26 Certainly [if] you will take as pledge [the] cloak of neighbor your until goes the sun you will return it to him.
Si tu prends en gage de ton prochain un vêtement, tu lui rendras avant le coucher du soleil.
27 For it ([is] covering his *Q(k)*) to alone it it [is] cloak his for skin his in what? will he lie down and it will be that he will cry out to me and I will hear for [am] gracious I.
Car c’est le seul dont il se couvre, le seul vêtement de sa chair, et il n’en a pas un autre dans lequel il dorme: s’il crie vers moi, je l’exaucerai, parce que je suis miséricordieux.
28 God not you must curse and a leader among people your not you must curse.
Tu ne parleras point mal des dieux, et tu ne maudiras point le prince de ton peuple.
29 Full produce your and juice your not you must delay [the] firstborn of sons your you will give to me.
Tu ne différeras point à rendre tes dîmes et tes prémices: tu me donneras le premier-né de tes fils.
30 Thus you will do to ox your to sheep your seven days it will be with mother its on the day eighth you will give it to me.
Pour tes bœufs aussi et tes brebis tu feras de même: que pendant sept jours le premier-né soit avec sa mère, et au huitième jour tu me le rendras.
31 And people of holiness you will be! of me and flesh in the field a torn animal not you must eat to the dog[s] you will throw! it.
Vous me serez des hommes consacrés; vous ne mangerez point de la chair dont les bêtes sauvages auront déjà goûté, mais vous la jetterez aux chiens.
