Exodus 2
1 And he went a man from [the] house of Levi and he took [the] daughter of Levi.
और लावी के घराने के एक शख़्स ने जाकर लावी की नसल की एक 'औरत से ब्याह किया।
2 And she conceived the woman and she bore a son and she saw him that [was] good he and she hid him three months.
वह 'औरत हामिला हुई और उसके बेटा हुआ, और उस ने यह देखकर कि बच्चा ख़ूबसूरत है तीन महीने तक उसे छिपा कर रखा।
3 And not she was able still to hide him and she took for him a basket of papyrus and sealed it she with bitumen and with pitch and she put in it the child and she put [it] among the rush[es] at [the] bank of the River.
और जब उसे और ज़्यादा छिपा न सकी तो उसने सरकंडों का एक टोकरा लिया, और उस पर चिकनी मिट्टी और राल लगा कर लड़के को उसमें रख्खा, और उसे दरिया के किनारे झाऊ में छोड़ आई।
4 And she stood sister his from a distance to know what? will it be done to him.
और उसकी बहन दूर खड़ी रही ताकि देखे कि उसके साथ क्या होता है।
5 And she went down [the] daughter of Pharaoh to bathe at the River and female attendants her [were] walking on [the] side of the River and she saw the basket in among the rush[es] and she sent maid her (and fetched it she *L(abh)*)
और फ़िर'औन की बेटी दरिया पर ग़ुस्ल करने आई और उसकी सहेलियाँ दरिया के किनारे — किनारे टहलने लगीं। तब उसने झाऊ में वह टोकरा देख कर अपनी सहेली की भेजा कि उसे उठा लाए।
6 and she opened [it] and she saw him the child and there! a lad [was] crying and she had compassion on him and she said [is] one of [the] children of the Hebrews this.
जब उसने उसे खोला तो लड़के को देखा, और वह बच्चा रो रहा था। उसे उस पर रहम आया और कहने लगी, “यह किसी 'इब्रानी का बच्चा है।”
7 And she said sister his to [the] daughter of Pharaoh ¿ will I go and will I call? for you a woman a suckling-nurse from the Hebrew [women] so she may suckle for you the child.
तब उसकी बहन ने फ़िर'औन की बेटी से कहा, “क्या मैं जा कर 'इब्रानी 'औरतों में से एक दाई तेरे पास बुला लाऊँ, जो तेरे लिए इस बच्चे को दूध पिलाया करे?”
8 And she said to her [the] daughter of Pharaoh go and she went the young woman and she called [the] mother of the child.
फ़िर'औन की बेटी ने उसे कहा, “जा!” वह लड़की जाकर उस बच्चे की माँ को बुला लाई।
9 And she said to her [the] daughter of Pharaoh take the child this and suckle him for me and I I will pay wage[s] your and she took the woman the child and she suckled him.
फ़िर'औन की बेटी ने उसे कहा, “तू इस बच्चे को ले जाकर मेरे लिए दूध पिला, मैं तुझे तेरी मज़दूरी दिया करूँगी।” वह 'औरत उस बच्चे को ले जाकर दूध पिलाने लगी।
10 And he grew up the child and she took him to [the] daughter of Pharaoh and he became to her a son and she called name his Moses and she said that from the water I drew him.
जब बच्चा कुछ बड़ा हुआ तो वह उसे फ़िर'औन की बेटी के पास ले गई और वह उसका बेटा ठहरा और उसने उसका नाम मूसा यह कह कर रख्खा, “मैंने उसे पानी से निकाला।”
11 And it was - in the days those and he grew up Moses and he went out to brothers his and he looked on forced labor their and he saw a man Egyptian striking a man Hebrew one of brothers his.
इतने में जब मूसा बड़ा हुआ तो बाहर अपने भाइयों के पास गया। और उनकी मशक़्क़तों पर उसकी नज़र पड़ी और उसने देखा कि एक मिस्री उसके एक 'इब्रानी भाई को मार रहा है।
12 And he turned thus and thus and he saw that there not [was] a person and he struck down the Egyptian and he hid him in the sand.
फिर उसने इधर उधर निगाह की और जब देखा कि वहाँ कोई दूसरा आदमी नहीं है, तो उस मिस्री को जान से मार कर उसे रेत में छिपा दिया।
13 And he went out on the day second and there! two men Hebrew [were] struggling together and he said to the guilty [one] why? are you striking companion your.
फिर दूसरे दिन वह बाहर गया और देखा कि दो 'इब्रानी आपस में मार पीट कर रहे हैं। तब उसने उसे जिसका कु़सूर था कहा, कि “तू अपने साथी को क्यूँ मारता है?”
14 And he said who? did he appoint you to a man a chief and a judge over us ¿ to kill me [are] you saying just as you killed the Egyptian and he was afraid Moses and he thought truly it is known the matter.
उसने कहा, “तुझे किसने हम पर हाकिम या मुन्सिफ़ मुक़र्रर किया? क्या जिस तरह तूने उस मिस्री को मार डाला, मुझे भी मार डालना चाहता है?” तब मूसा यह सोच कर डरा, “बिला शक यह राज़ खुल गया।”
15 And he heard Pharaoh the matter this and he sought to kill Moses and he fled Moses from before Pharaoh and he dwelt in [the] land of Midian and he sat at the well.
जब फ़िर'औन ने यह सुना तो चाहा कि मूसा को क़त्ल करे। पर मूसा फ़िर'औन के सामने से भाग कर मुल्क — ए — मिदियान में जा बसा। वहाँ वह एक कुएँ के नज़दीक बैठा था।
16 And [belonged] to [the] priest of Midian seven daughters and they came and they drew and they filled the drinking troughs to water [the] flock of father their.
और मिदियान के काहिन की सात बेटियाँ थी। वह आईं और पानी भर — भर कर कठरों में डालने लगीं ताकि अपने बाप की भेड़ — बकरियों को पिलाएँ।
17 And they came the shepherds and they drove away them and he arose Moses and he delivered them and he watered flock their.
और गड़रिये आकर उनको भगाने लगे, लेकिन मूसा खड़ा हो गया और उसने उनकी मदद की और उनकी भेड़ — बकरियों को पानी पिलाया।
18 And they went to Reuel father their and he said why? did you hurry to come this day.
और जब वह अपने बाप र'ऊएल के पास लौटीं तो उसने पूछा, “आज तुम इस क़दर जल्द कैसे आ गई?”
19 And they said a man Egyptian he rescued us from [the] hand of the shepherds and also carefully he drew for us and he watered the flock.
उन्होंने कहा, “'एक मिस्री ने हम को गड़रियों के हाथ से बचाया, और हमारे बदले पानी भर — भर कर भेड़ बकरियों को पिलाया।”
20 And he said to daughters his and where [is]? he why? this have you left the man invite him so he may eat food.
उसने अपनी बेटियों से कहा, “वह आदमी कहाँ है? तुम उसे क्यूँ छोड़ आई? उसे बुला लाओ कि रोटी खाए।”
21 And he was willing Moses to dwell with the man and he gave Zipporah daughter his to Moses.
और मूसा उस शख़्स के साथ रहने को राज़ी हो गया। तब उसने अपनी बेटी सफ़्फूरा मूसा को ब्याह दी।
22 And she bore a son and he called name his Gershom for he said a sojourner I have become in a land foreign.
और उसके एक बेटा हुआ, और मूसा ने उसका नाम जैरसोम यह कहकर रख्खा, “मैं अजनबी मुल्क में मुसाफ़िर हूँ।”
23 And it was in the days many those and he died [the] king of Egypt and they groaned [the] people of Israel from the labor and they cried out and it went up cry for help their to God from the labor.
और एक मुद्दत के बाद यूँ हुआ कि मिस्र का बादशाह मर गया। और बनी — इस्राईल अपनी ग़ुलामी की वजह से आह भरने लगे और रोए; और उनका रोना जो उनकी ग़ुलामी की वजह था ख़ुदा तक पहुँचा।
24 And he heard God groaning their and he remembered God covenant his with Abraham with Isaac and with Jacob.
और ख़ुदा ने उनका कराहना सुना, और ख़ुदा ने अपने 'अहद को जो अब्रहाम और इस्हाक़ और या'क़ूब के साथ था याद किया।
25 And he saw God [the] people of Israel and he knew God.
और ख़ुदा ने बनी — इस्राईल पर नज़र की और उनके हाल को मा'लूम किया।
