Exodus 2
1 And he went a man from [the] house of Levi and he took [the] daughter of Levi.
És elméne egy Lévi nemzetségéből való férfiú és Lévi-leányt vőn feleségűl.
2 And she conceived the woman and she bore a son and she saw him that [was] good he and she hid him three months.
És fogada méhében az asszony és fiat szűle; és látá, hogy szép az és rejtegeté három hónapig.
3 And not she was able still to hide him and she took for him a basket of papyrus and sealed it she with bitumen and with pitch and she put in it the child and she put [it] among the rush[es] at [the] bank of the River.
De mikor tovább nem rejtegetheté, szerze annak egy gyékény-ládácskát, és bekené azt gyantával és szurokkal s belétevé a gyermeket és letevé a folyóvíz szélén a sás közé.
4 And she stood sister his from a distance to know what? will it be done to him.
Az ő nénje pedig megáll vala távolról, hogy megtudja: mi történik vele?
5 And she went down [the] daughter of Pharaoh to bathe at the River and female attendants her [were] walking on [the] side of the River and she saw the basket in among the rush[es] and she sent maid her (and fetched it she *L(abh)*)
És aláméne a Faraó leánya, hogy megfürödjék a folyóvízben, szolgálóleányai pedig járkálnak vala a víz partján. És meglátá a ládácskát a sás között s elküldé az ő szolgálóleányát és kihozatá azt.
6 and she opened [it] and she saw him the child and there! a lad [was] crying and she had compassion on him and she said [is] one of [the] children of the Hebrews this.
És kinyitá és látá a gyermeket; és ímé egy síró fiú. És könyörűle rajta és monda: A héberek gyermekei közűl való ez.
7 And she said sister his to [the] daughter of Pharaoh ¿ will I go and will I call? for you a woman a suckling-nurse from the Hebrew [women] so she may suckle for you the child.
Az ő nénje pedig monda a Faraó leányának: Elmenjek-é s hívjak-é egy szoptatós asszonyt a héber asszonyok közűl, hogy szoptassa néked a gyermeket?
8 And she said to her [the] daughter of Pharaoh go and she went the young woman and she called [the] mother of the child.
És a Faraó leánya monda néki: Eredj el. Elméne azért a leányzó, és elhívá a gyermek anyját.
9 And she said to her [the] daughter of Pharaoh take the child this and suckle him for me and I I will pay wage[s] your and she took the woman the child and she suckled him.
És monda néki a Faraó leánya: Vidd el ezt a gyermeket és szoptasd fel nékem, és én megadom a te jutalmadat. És vevé az asszony a gyermeket és szoptatá azt.
10 And he grew up the child and she took him to [the] daughter of Pharaoh and he became to her a son and she called name his Moses and she said that from the water I drew him.
És felnevekedék a gyermek, és vivé őt a Faraó leányához, és fia gyanánt lőn annak, és nevezé nevét Mózesnek, és mondá: Mert a vízből húztam ki őt.
11 And it was - in the days those and he grew up Moses and he went out to brothers his and he looked on forced labor their and he saw a man Egyptian striking a man Hebrew one of brothers his.
Lőn pedig azokban a napokban, mikor Mózes felnevekedék, kiméne az ő atyjafiaihoz és látá az ő nehéz munkájokat s látá, hogy egy Égyiptombeli férfi üt vala egy héber férfit az ő atyjafiai közűl.
12 And he turned thus and thus and he saw that there not [was] a person and he struck down the Egyptian and he hid him in the sand.
Mikor ide-oda tekinte és látá hogy senki sincs, agyonüté az Égyiptombelit és elrejté azt a homokba.
13 And he went out on the day second and there! two men Hebrew [were] struggling together and he said to the guilty [one] why? are you striking companion your.
Másnap is kiméne és ímé két héber férfi veszekedik vala. És monda annak a ki bűnös vala: Miért vered a te atyádfiát?
14 And he said who? did he appoint you to a man a chief and a judge over us ¿ to kill me [are] you saying just as you killed the Egyptian and he was afraid Moses and he thought truly it is known the matter.
Az pedig monda: Kicsoda tett téged fő emberré és bíróvá mi rajtunk? Talán engem is meg akarsz ölni, mint megöléd az égyiptomit? Mózes pedig megfélemlék és monda: Bizony kitudódott a dolog.
15 And he heard Pharaoh the matter this and he sought to kill Moses and he fled Moses from before Pharaoh and he dwelt in [the] land of Midian and he sat at the well.
A Faraó is meghallá azt a dolgot és Mózest halálra keresteti vala: de elfuta Mózes a Faraó elől és lakozék Midián földén; leűle pedig egy kútnál.
16 And [belonged] to [the] priest of Midian seven daughters and they came and they drew and they filled the drinking troughs to water [the] flock of father their.
Midián papjának pedig hét leánya vala, és oda menének és vizet húzának és tele merék a válúkat, hogy megitassák atyjoknak juhait.
17 And they came the shepherds and they drove away them and he arose Moses and he delivered them and he watered flock their.
A pásztorok is oda menének és elűzék őket. Mózes pedig felkele és segítséggel lőn nékik és megitatá juhaikat.
18 And they went to Reuel father their and he said why? did you hurry to come this day.
Mikor atyjokhoz Réhuelhez menének, monda ez: Mi az oka, hogy ma ilyen hamar megjöttetek?
19 And they said a man Egyptian he rescued us from [the] hand of the shepherds and also carefully he drew for us and he watered the flock.
Ők pedig mondának: Egy égyiptombeli férfi oltalmaza minket a pásztorok ellen, annakfelette vizet is húzott nékünk, és megitatta a juhokat.
20 And he said to daughters his and where [is]? he why? this have you left the man invite him so he may eat food.
S monda leányainak: És hol van ő? miért hagytátok ott azt a férfit? hívjátok el, hogy egyék kenyeret.
21 And he was willing Moses to dwell with the man and he gave Zipporah daughter his to Moses.
És tetszék Mózesnek, hogy ott maradjon e férfiúnál, és ez feleségül adá Mózesnek az ő leányát, Czipporát.
22 And she bore a son and he called name his Gershom for he said a sojourner I have become in a land foreign.
És fiat szűle ez és nevezé nevét Gersomnak, mert mondá: Jövevény voltam az idegen földön.
23 And it was in the days many those and he died [the] king of Egypt and they groaned [the] people of Israel from the labor and they cried out and it went up cry for help their to God from the labor.
És lőn ama hosszú idő alatt, meghala az Égyiptom királya, Izráel fiai pedig fohászkodnak vala a szolgaság miatt, és kiáltnak vala és feljuta a szolgaság miatt való kiáltásuk Istenhez.
24 And he heard God groaning their and he remembered God covenant his with Abraham with Isaac and with Jacob.
És meghallá Isten az ő fohászkodásukat és megemlékezék Isten az Ábrahámmal, Izsákkal és Jákóbbal kötött szövetségéről.
25 And he saw God [the] people of Israel and he knew God.
És megtekinté Isten az Izráel fiait és gondja vala rájok Istennek.
