Exodus 16

1 And they set out from Elim and they came all [the] congregation of [the] people of Israel to [the] wilderness of Sin which [is] between Elim and between Sinai on [the] fif-teen day of the month second of going out their from [the] land of Egypt.

Toute l'assemblée des enfants d'Israël, étant partie d'Élim, vint au désert de Sin, qui est entre Élim et Sinaï, au quinzième jour du second mois, après leur sortie du pays d'Égypte.

2 (And they grumbled *Q(K)*) all [the] congregation of [the] people of Israel on Moses and on Aaron in the wilderness.

Et toute l'assemblée des enfants d'Israël murmura dans ce désert contre Moïse et contre Aaron.

3 And they said to them [the] people of Israel who? will he give died we by [the] hand of Yahweh in [the] land of Egypt when sat we at [the] pot of the meat when ate we food to abundance for you have brought out us into the wilderness this to put to death all the assembly this by hunger.

Et les enfants d'Israël leur dirent: Ah! que ne sommes-nous morts par la main de l'Éternel au pays d'Égypte, quand nous étions assis près des potées de viande, quand nous mangions du pain à satiété! Car vous nous avez amenés dans ce désert, pour faire mourir de faim toute cette assemblée.

4 And he said Yahweh to Moses here I [am] about to rain down for you bread from the heavens and it will go out the people and they will gather a matter of a day in day its so that I should put to [the] test it ¿ will it walk in law my or? not.

Alors l'Éternel dit à Moïse: Voici, je vais vous faire pleuvoir des cieux du pain, et le peuple sortira, et ils en recueilleront chaque jour ce qu'il faut pour la journée, afin que je l'éprouve, pour voir s'il marchera, ou non, dans ma loi.

5 And it will be on the day sixth and they will prepare [that] which they will bring and it will be double to [that] which they will gather day - day.

Mais, le sixième jour, ils apprêteront ce qu'ils auront apporté, et il y en aura le double de ce qu'ils recueilleront chaque jour.

6 And he said Moses and Aaron to all [the] people of Israel evening and you will know that Yahweh he brought out you from [the] land of Egypt.

Moïse et Aaron dirent donc à tous les enfants d'Israël: Ce soir vous saurez que c'est l'Éternel qui vous a retirés du pays d'Égypte;

7 And morning and you will see [the] glory of Yahweh because has heard he grumblings your on Yahweh and [are] we what? that (you will cause to grumble *Q(K)*) on us.

Et au matin vous verrez la gloire de l'Éternel, parce qu'il a entendu vos murmures contre l'Éternel. Que sommes-nous, en effet, pour que vous murmuriez contre nous?

8 And he said Moses when gives Yahweh to you in the evening meat to eat and bread in the morning to be satisfied because has heard Yahweh grumblings your which you [are] grumbling on him and [are] we what? not [are] on us grumblings your for on Yahweh.

Et Moïse dit: Ce sera quand l'Éternel vous donnera ce soir de la chair à manger, et au matin du pain en abondance; parce que l'Éternel a entendu vos murmures, que vous élevez contre lui. Que sommes-nous en effet? Vos murmures ne sont pas contre nous, mais contre l'Éternel.

9 And he said Moses to Aaron say to all [the] congregation of [the] people of Israel draw near before Yahweh for he has heard grumblings your.

Et Moïse dit à Aaron: Dis à toute l'assemblée des enfants d'Israël: Approchez-vous devant l'Éternel, car il a entendu vos murmures.

10 And it was when spoke Aaron to all [the] congregation of [the] people of Israel and they turned to the wilderness and there! [the] glory of Yahweh it appeared in the cloud.

Et comme Aaron parlait à toute l'assemblée des enfants d'Israël, ils se tournèrent vers le désert, et voici, la gloire de l'Éternel se montra dans la nuée;

11 And he spoke Yahweh to Moses saying.

Et l'Éternel parla à Moïse, en disant:

12 I have heard [the] grumblings of [the] people of Israel speak to them saying between the two evenings you will eat meat and in the morning you will be satisfied bread and you will know that I [am] Yahweh God your.

J'ai entendu les murmures des enfants d'Israël. Parle-leur, et leur dis: Entre les deux soirs vous mangerez de la chair, et au matin vous vous rassasierez de pain, et vous saurez que je suis l'Éternel votre Dieu.

13 And it was in the evening and it came up the quail and it covered the camp and in the morning it was [the] layer of the dew around the camp.

Le soir donc les cailles montèrent et couvrirent le camp, et au matin il y eut une couche de rosée à l'entour du camp.

14 And it went up [the] layer of dew and there! [was] on [the] surface of the wilderness thin [stuff] flake-like thin [stuff] like frost on the ground.

Et la couche de rosée s'évanouit, et voici il y avait sur la surface du désert une chose menue, perlée, menue comme le givre sur la terre.

15 And they saw [the] people of Israel and they said each to brother his what? [is] it for not they knew what? [was] it and he said Moses to them it [is] the bread which he has given Yahweh to you to food.

Quand les enfants d'Israël la virent, ils se dirent l'un à l'autre: Qu'est cela? car ils ne savaient ce que c'était. Et Moïse leur dit: C'est le pain que l'Éternel vous a donné à manger.

16 This [is] the word which he commands Yahweh gather some of it everyone to [the] mouth of food his an omer for the head [the] number of people your everyone for [those] who [are] in tent his you will take.

Voici ce que l'Éternel a commandé: Recueillez-en chacun en proportion de ce qu'il mange, un homer par tête, selon le nombre de vos personnes; vous en prendrez chacun pour ceux qui sont dans sa tente.

17 And they did so [the] people of Israel and they gathered [it] the [one who] made much and the [one who] made little.

Les enfants d'Israël firent donc ainsi; et ils recueillirent, l'un plus et l'autre moins.

18 And they measured [it] by the omer and not he had a surplus the [one who] made much and the [one who] made little not he had a lack everyone to [the] mouth of food his they had gathered.

Et ils le mesurèrent par homer; et celui qui en recueillait beaucoup, n'en eut pas trop, et celui qui en recueillait peu, n'en manqua pas; ils en recueillirent chacun en proportion de ce qu'il mangeait.

19 And he said Moses to them everyone may not him leave over any of it until morning.

Et Moïse leur dit: Que personne n'en laisse de reste jusqu'au matin.

20 And not they listened to Moses and they left over people some of it until morning and it became rotten worms and it stank and he was angry towards them Moses.

Mais ils n'obéirent point à Moïse, et quelques-uns en laissèrent jusqu'au matin, et il s'y engendra des vers et une mauvaise odeur; et Moïse se mit en colère contre eux.

21 And they gathered it in the morning in the morning everyone according to [the] mouth of food his and it was warm the sun and it melted.

Ils en recueillirent donc tous les matins, chacun en proportion de ce qu'il mangeait; et lorsque le soleil était chaud, cela fondait.

22 And it was - on the day sixth they gathered bread of double two omer[s] for the one and they came all [the] leaders of the congregation and they told to Moses.

Et le sixième jour, ils recueillirent du pain au double, deux homers pour chacun. Et tous les principaux de l'assemblée vinrent le rapporter à Moïse.

23 And he said to them it [is that] which he said Yahweh a sabbath observance a sabbath of holiness to Yahweh [is] tomorrow [that] which you will bake bake and [that] which you will boil boil and all the surplus leave for yourselves for keeping until the morning.

Et il leur répondit: C'est ce que l'Éternel a dit: Demain est le repos, le sabbat consacré à l'Éternel; faites cuire ce que vous avez à cuire, et faites bouillir ce que vous avez à bouillir, et serrez tout le surplus, pour le garder jusqu'au matin.

24 And they left it until the morning just as he had commanded Moses and not it stank and a maggot not it was in it.

Ils le serrèrent donc jusqu'au matin, comme Moïse l'avait commandé, et il ne sentit point mauvais, et il n'y eut point de vers.

25 And he said Moses eat it this day for [is] a sabbath this day to Yahweh this day not you will find it in the field.

Alors Moïse dit: Mangez-le aujourd'hui; car c'est aujourd'hui le sabbat de l'Éternel; aujourd'hui vous n'en trouverez point dans les champs.

26 Six days you will gather it and on the day seventh a sabbath not it will be in it.

Pendant six jours vous le recueillerez, mais au septième jour, qui est le sabbat, il n'y en aura point.

27 And it was on the day seventh they went out some of the people to gather [it] and not they found [it].

Et le septième jour, quelques-uns du peuple sortirent pour en recueillir; mais ils n'en trouvèrent point.

28 And he said Yahweh to Moses until when? have you refused to keep commandments my and laws my.

Alors l'Éternel dit à Moïse: Jusqu'à quand refuserez-vous de garder mes commandements et mes lois?

29 Consider that Yahweh he has given to you the sabbath there-fore he [is] giving to you on the day sixth bread of two days remain - everyone in place his may not him go out anyone from place his on the day seventh.

Considérez que l'Éternel vous a donné le sabbat, c'est pourquoi il vous donne au sixième jour du pain pour deux jours; que chacun demeure à sa place, et que personne ne sorte de son lieu le septième jour.

30 And they rested the people on the day seventh.

Le peuple se reposa donc le septième jour.

31 And they called [the] household of Israel name its manna and it [was] like [the] seed of coriander white and taste its [was] like a wafer with honey.

Et la maison d'Israël nomma cette nourriture, manne; elle était comme de la semence de coriandre, blanche, et avait le goût de beignets au miel.

32 And he said Moses this [is] the word which he commands Yahweh [the] fullness of the omer of it [will be] for keeping to generations your so that - they may see the bread which I caused to eat you in the wilderness when brought out I you from [the] land of Egypt.

Et Moïse dit: Voici ce que l'Éternel a commandé: Qu'on en remplisse un homer, pour le garder d'âge en âge, afin qu'on voie le pain que je vous ai fait manger au désert, quand je vous ai retirés du pays d'Égypte.

33 And he said Moses to Aaron take a jar one and put there [the] fullness of the omer manna and deposit it before Yahweh for keeping to generations your.

Et Moïse dit à Aaron: Prends une cruche, et mets-y un plein homer de manne, et dépose-le devant l'Éternel, pour être gardé d'âge en âge.

34 Just as he had commanded Yahweh to Moses and he deposited it Aaron before the testimony for keeping.

Comme le Seigneur l'avait commandé à Moïse, Aaron le déposa devant le Témoignage, pour qu'il fût gardé.

35 And [the] people of Israel they ate the manna forty year[s] until came they into a land inhabited the manna they ate until came they to [the] border of [the] land of Canaan.

Et les enfants d'Israël mangèrent la manne quarante ans, jusqu'à ce qu'ils fussent venus dans un pays habité; ils mangèrent la manne, jusqu'à ce qu'ils fussent venus à la frontière du pays de Canaan.

36 And the omer [is] [the] tenth [part] of the ephah it.

Or, le homer est la dixième partie de l'épha.
