Exodus 14
1 And he spoke Yahweh to Moses saying.
Och Herren talade med Mose, och sade:
2 Speak to [the] people of Israel so they may turn back and they may encamp before Pi-hahiroth between Migdol and between the sea before Baal-Zephon opposite it you will encamp at the sea.
Tala med Israels barn, och säg att de vända om, och slå deras lägre tvärtemot den dalen Hyroth, emellan Migdol och hafvet, emot BaalZephon, och der tvärt öfver slå lägret vid hafvet.
3 And he will say Pharaoh of [the] people of Israel [are] wandering in confusion they in the land it has shut on them the wilderness.
Förty Pharao varder sägandes om Israels barn: De fara ville i landena; öknen hafver beslutit dem.
4 And I will make strong [the] heart of Pharaoh and he will pursue after them and I will gain honor by Pharaoh and by all army his and they will know Egypt that I [am] Yahweh and they did so.
Och jag vill förstocka hans hjerta, att han skall jaga efter dem, och vill vinna pris på Pharao och alla hans magt; och de Egyptier skola förnimma, att jag är Herren. Och de gjorde så.
5 And it was told to [the] king of Egypt that it had fled the people and it was changed [the] heart of Pharaoh and servants his to the people and they said what? this have we done that we have let go Israel from serving us.
Och då det vardt sagdt för Konungenom i Egypten, att folket flydde, vardt hans och hans tjenares hjerta förvandladt emot folket, och sade: Hvi hafvom vi så gjort, att vi hafvom släppt Israel, att de icke skola tjena oss?
6 And he harnessed chariot his and people his he took with him.
Och han gjorde redo sin vagn, och tog sitt folk med sig;
7 And he took six hundred chariot[s] chosen and all [the] chariotry of Egypt and officers [were] over all of it.
Och tog sexhundrade utvalda vagnar, och hvad der eljest var för vagnar i Egypten, och höfvitsmän öfver allan sin här.
8 And he made strong Yahweh [the] heart of Pharaoh [the] king of Egypt and he pursued after [the] people of Israel and [the] people of Israel [were] going out with a hand raised.
Ty Herren förstockade Pharaos hjerta, Konungens i Egypten, att han jagade efter Israels barn, hvilke dock voro genom höga hand utgångne.
9 And they pursued Egypt after them and they overtook them encamped at the sea every horse of [the] chariotry of Pharaoh and horsemen his and army his at Pi-hahiroth before Baal-Zephon.
Och de Egyptier jagade efter dem, och hinde dem der de sig lägrat hade vid hafvet, med hästar och vagnar och resenärer, och med all Pharaos här, uti den dalenom Hyroth, tvärt emot BaalZephon.
10 And Pharaoh he drew near and they lifted up [the] people of Israel eyes their and there! Egypt - [was] marching after them and they were afraid exceedingly and they cried out [the] people of Israel to Yahweh.
Och då Pharao nalkades dem, hofvo Israels barn sin ögon upp, och si, de Egyptier kommo efter dem; och de fruktade sig storliga, och ropade till Herran;
11 And they said to Moses ¿ because not there not [were] graves in Egypt you brought us to die in the wilderness what? this have you done to us by bringing out us from Egypt.
Och sade till Mose: Voro icke grafvar i Egypten, att du måste bortföra oss, att vi skulle dö i öknene? Hvi hafver du så gjort oss, att du hafver fört oss utur Egypten?
12 ¿ Not [is] this the word which we spoke to you in Egypt saying cease from us so let us serve Egypt for [is] better for us serving Egypt than to die us in the wilderness.
Är icke nu detta det, som vi sade dig i Egypten: Låt blifva oss, att vi må tjena de Egyptier? Ty det vore oss ju bättre tjena de Egyptier, än dö i öknene.
13 And he said Moses to the people may not you be afraid stand firm and see [the] deliverance of Yahweh which he will bring about for you this day for which you have seen Egypt this day not you will repeat to see them again until perpetuity.
Mose sade till folket: Frukter eder intet, står och ser till, hvilken en salighet Herren varder görandes i dag med eder; ty dessa Egyptier, som I sen i dag, dem skolen I aldrig mera se i evig tid.
14 Yahweh he will fight for you and you you will keep quiet!
Herren varder stridandes för eder, och I skolen stå stilla dertill.
15 And he said Yahweh to Moses why? are you crying out to me speak to [the] people of Israel so they may set out.
Herren sade till Mose: Hvad ropar du till mig? Säg Israels barnom, att de draga fram.
16 And you raise staff your and stretch out hand your over the sea and divide it so they may go [the] people of Israel in [the] middle of the sea on the dry ground.
Men du häf din staf upp, och räck dina hand öfver hafvet, och skilj det åt, att Israels barn måga gå der midt igenom på det torra.
17 And I here I [am] about to make strong [the] heart of Egypt so they may go after them and I will gain honor by Pharaoh and by all army his by chariot[s] his and by horsemen his.
Si, jag vill förstocka de Egyptiers hjerta, att de skola följa efter eder; så vill jag vinna pris på Pharao, och alla hans magt, uppå hans vagnar och resenärer.
18 And they will know Egypt that I [am] Yahweh when gain honor I by Pharaoh by chariot[s] his and by horsemen his.
Och de Egyptier skola förnimma, att jag är Herren; när jag hafver pris vunnit på Pharao, och hans vagnar och resenärer.
19 And he set out [the] angel of God who had been going before [the] camp of Israel and he went behind them and it set out [the] pillar of cloud from before them and it stood behind them.
Då upphof sig Guds Ängel, den som för Israels lägre gick, och gaf sig bakom dem; och molnstoden gaf sig ock utu deras ansigte, och gick bakom dem;
20 And it went between - [the] camp of Egypt and between [the] camp of Israel and it was the cloud and the darkness and it lit up the night and not it drew near this to this all the night.
Och kom emellan de Egyptiers och Israels lägre; och det var ett mörkt moln, och upplyste nattena, så att desse och hine i den hela nattene icke kunde komma tillsamman.
21 And he stretched out Moses hand his over the sea and he drove Yahweh - the sea by a wind an east wind strong all the night and he made the sea into dry ground and they were divided the waters.
Då nu Mose räckte sin hand öfver hafvet, lät Herren drifva det bort genom ett starkt östanväder i den hela nattene, och gjorde hafvet torrt; och vattnet skiljdes åt.
22 And they went [the] people of Israel in [the] middle of the sea on the dry ground and the water for them [was] a wall from right their and from left their.
Och Israels barn gingo derin, midt i hafvet på det torra; och vattnet var dem för en mur på den högra sidone, och den venstra.
23 And they pursued Egypt and they went after them every horse of Pharaoh chariotry his and horsemen his into [the] middle of the sea.
Och de Egyptier följde, och gingo in efter dem, alle Pharaos hästar och vagnar och resenärer, midt in i hafvet.
24 And it was in [the] watch of the morning and he looked down Yahweh to [the] camp of Egypt in a pillar of fire and cloud and he confused [the] camp of Egypt.
Som nu morgonväkten kom, såg Herren uppå de Egyptiers lägre utur eldstodene och molnena; och gjorde en förskräckelse i deras lägre;
25 And he turned aside [the] wheel[s] of chariots its and he caused to drive it with difficulty and it said Egypt let me flee from before Israel for Yahweh [is] fighting for them (against Egypt. *LB(ha)*)
Och stötte hjulen ifrå deras vagnar, och störte dem väldeliga omkull. Då sade de Egyptier: Låt oss fly ifrån Israel; Herren strider för dem emot de Egyptier.
26 And he said Yahweh to Moses stretch out hand your over the sea so they may return the waters over Egypt over chariot[s] its and over horsemen its.
Men Herren sade till Mose: Räck ut dina hand öfver hafvet, att vattnet igenfaller öfver de Egyptier; öfver deras vagnar och resenärer.
27 And he stretched out Moses hand his over the sea and it returned the sea to [the] turning of morning to normal [state] its and Egypt [were] fleeing to meet it and he shook off Yahweh Egypt in [the] middle of the sea.
Då räckte Mose sina hand ut öfver hafvet, och hafvet kom åter för morgonen i sin ström igen; och då de Egyptier flydde, mötte dem vattnet; och Herren inhvärfde dem midt i hafvena;
28 And they returned the waters and they covered the chariot[s] and the horsemen to all [the] army of Pharaoh which had gone after them in the sea not it remained among them up to one.
Så att vattnet kom igen, och gick utöfver vagnar och resenärer, och alla Pharaos magt, som dem efterföljt hade in i hafvet; så att icke en af dem blef igen.
29 And [the] people of Israel they walked on the dry ground in [the] middle of the sea and the water for them [was] a wall from right their (and from left their *LB(ah)*)
Men Israels barn gingo torre midt igenom hafvet; och vattnet var dem för en mur på högra sidone, och den venstra.
30 and he delivered Yahweh on the day that Israel from [the] hand of Egypt and it saw Israel Egypt dead on [the] shore of the sea.
Och så halp Herren Israel på den dagenom ifrå de Egyptiers hand; och de sågo de Egyptier döda på hafsstrandene;
31 And it saw Israel the hand great which he had used Yahweh on Egypt and they feared the people Yahweh and they believed in Yahweh and in Moses servant his.
Och den stora hand, som Herren hade bevisat på de Egyptier. Och folket fruktade Herran, och trodde Herranom, och hans tjenare Mose.
