Exodus 12
1 And he said Yahweh to Moses and to Aaron in [the] land of Egypt saying.
Khi Môi-se và A-rôn còn ở Ai Cập, Chúa Hằng Hữu phán bảo họ:
2 The month this for you [will be the] beginning of months [will be] first it for you of [the] months of the year.
“Từ nay về sau, tháng này sẽ được kể là tháng thứ nhất, tức là tháng giêng trong năm.
3 Speak to all [the] congregation of Israel saying on the ten of the month this so they may take for themselves everyone a lamb for a household of fathers a lamb for the household.
Phải công bố cho toàn dân Ít-ra-ên biết, vào ngày mồng mười tháng này, mỗi gia đình sẽ bắt một con chiên hay một con dê.
4 And if it will be [too] small the household for being for a lamb and he will take he and neighbor his near to house his by [the] number of people each one to [the] mouth of food his you will estimate on the lamb.
Nếu gia đình có ít người, sẽ chung với một gia đình ít người khác trong vòng láng giềng, tính thế nào cho có đủ người ăn hết thịt.
5 A lamb unblemished male a son of a year it will be for you one of the lambs and one of the goats you will take.
Con chiên hay con dê này phải là một con đực, một tuổi, hoàn toàn tốt lành.
6 And it will be for you for safekeeping until [the] four-teen day of the month this and they will slaughter it all [the] assembly of [the] congregation of Israel between the two evenings.
Đợi đến chiều tối ngày mười bốn tháng giêng, mỗi gia đình sẽ giết con vật đã chọn, lấy máu nó bôi lên khung cửa (hai thanh dọc hai bên và thanh ngang bên trên cửa).
7 And they will take some of the blood and they will put [it] on [the] two the doorposts and on the lintels on the houses which they will eat it in them.
Vậy, mỗi nhà phải lấy máu con chiên mình sẽ ăn thịt đem bôi lên khung cửa nhà mình.
8 And they will eat the meat in the night this roasted of fire and unleavened bread with bitter herbs they will eat it.
Đêm ấy, mỗi người sẽ ăn thịt chiên quay với bánh không men và rau đắng.
9 May not you eat any of it raw and boiled being boiled in water that except roasted of fire head its with legs its and with entrails its.
Phải quay nguyên cả con chiên trên lửa, kể cả đầu, chân, và bộ lòng. Đừng luộc thịt chín hoặc tái mà ăn.
10 And not you will leave over any of it until morning and what is left over of it until morning with fire you will burn.
Đừng để dành gì cả. Nếu ăn còn thừa, sáng hôm sau phải đốt đi.
11 And thus you will eat it loins your girded sandals your on feet your and staff your in hand your and you will eat it in haste [is] a passover it to Yahweh.
Ngày ấy sẽ được gọi là ngày lễ Vượt Qua của Chúa Hằng Hữu. Người ăn lễ phải thắt lưng gọn gàng, tay cầm gậy, chân mang giày, ăn vội vàng.
12 And I will pass in [the] land of Egypt in the night this and I will strike every firstborn in [the] land of Egypt from humankind and unto livestock and on all [the] gods of Egypt I will do acts of judgment I [am] Yahweh.
Đêm ấy, Ta sẽ lướt qua Ai Cập; tất cả các con trưởng nam của dân này sẽ bị giết, luôn cả con đầu lòng của thú vật họ. Ta cũng sẽ trừng phạt các thần của Ai Cập, vì Ta là Chúa Hằng Hữu!
13 And it will become the blood for you a sign on the houses where you [are] there and I will see the blood and I will pass over over you and not it will be among you a plague for destruction when strike I in [the] land of Egypt.
Máu bôi trên khung cửa đánh dấu nhà các ngươi ở. Trong cuộc trừng phạt Ai Cập, khi thấy máu ở trước nhà nào, Ta sẽ bỏ qua nhà ấy.
14 And it will become the day this for you a memorial and you will celebrate a festival it a festival of Yahweh to generations your a statute of perpetuity you will celebrate as a festival it.
Từ nay trở đi, hằng năm các ngươi phải giữ lễ này để kỷ niệm ngày Chúa Hằng Hữu giải cứu mình.
15 Seven days unleavened bread you will eat surely on the day first you will remove leaven from houses your for - any [one who] eats leaven and he will be cut off the person that from Israel from [the] day first until [the] day seventh.
Thời gian hành lễ là bảy ngày. Trong suốt bảy ngày đó, phải ăn bánh không men. Ai ăn bánh có men sẽ bị trục xuất khỏi cộng đồng Ít-ra-ên.
16 And [will be] on the day first a convocation of holiness and on the day seventh a convocation of holiness it will be to you any work not it will be done on them only [that] which it will be eaten by every person it to only it it will be done by you.
Trong ngày thứ nhất và ngày thứ bảy, sẽ có cuộc hội họp thánh. Không ai được làm việc trong những ngày đó, trừ ra việc bếp núc.
17 And you will keep the unleavened bread for on [the] substance of the day this I brought out hosts your from [the] land of Egypt and you will keep the day this to generations your a statute of perpetuity.
Vậy, đây là ngày Lễ Bánh Không Men các ngươi phải giữ từ thế hệ này sang thế hệ khác, để kỷ niệm ngày Ta giải thoát các ngươi khỏi Ai Cập.
18 In the first [month] on [the] four-teen day of the month in the evening you will eat unleavened bread until [the] day one and twenty of the month in the evening.
Các ngươi chỉ ăn bánh không men từ tối ngày mười bốn cho đến tối ngày hai mươi mốt tháng giêng.
19 Seven days leaven not it will be found in houses your for - any [one who] eats a thing leavened and he will be cut off the person that from [the] congregation of Israel in the sojourner and in [the] native-born of the land.
Trong bảy ngày ấy, không ai được giữ bánh có men trong nhà, vì nếu ai ăn bánh có men, dù là người Ít-ra-ên hay người ngoại kiều, sẽ bị trục xuất khỏi cộng đồng Ít-ra-ên.
20 Any thing leavened not you will eat in all dwelling places your you will eat unleavened bread.
Vậy, nhớ ăn bánh không men, đừng đụng đến vật gì có men cả.”
21 And he summoned Moses all [the] elders of Israel and he said to them draw and take for yourselves sheep to clans your and slaughter the passover.
Môi-se họp các bô lão Ít-ra-ên lại, bảo họ: “Các ông lo chọn một số chiên tùy theo số gia đình, để dân chúng giết chiên, cử hành lễ Vượt Qua.
22 And you will take a bunch of hyssop and you will dip [it] in the blood which [is] in the basin and you will make touch the lintels and [the] two the doorposts some of the blood which [is] in the basin and you not you will go out anyone from [the] door of house his until morning.
Phải hứng máu chiên trong chậu, lấy một bó bài hương thảo nhúng vào máu, đem bôi lên khung cửa (hai thanh dọc và một thanh ngang bên trên cửa). Đêm đó, không ai được ra khỏi nhà.
23 And he will pass through Yahweh to strike Egypt and he will see the blood on the lintels and on [the] two the doorposts and he will pass over Yahweh over the doorway and not he will permit the destroyer to come into houses your to strike [you].
Trong cuộc trừng trị Ai Cập, khi Chúa Hằng Hữu đi ngang qua nhà nào có vết máu bôi trên khung cửa; Ngài sẽ vượt qua, không cho kẻ hủy diệt vào nhà ấy.
24 And you will keep the word this to a decree for yourself and for children your until perpetuity.
Việc hành lễ này trở thành một luật vĩnh viễn, từ thế hệ này sang thế hệ khác.
25 And it will be that you will come into the land which he will give Yahweh to you just as he said and you will keep the service this.
Về sau, khi Chúa Hằng Hữu đã cho các ông vào đất hứa, và khi các ông kỷ niệm ngày này,
26 And it will be that they will say to you children your what? [is] the service this to you.
nếu con cháu có hỏi: ‘Ý nghĩa của lễ này là gì?’
27 And you will say [is] a sacrifice of passover it to Yahweh who he passed over over [the] houses of [the] people of Israel in Egypt when struck he Egypt and houses our he delivered and it bowed low the people and they bowed down.
Các ông sẽ đáp: Đây là ngày kỷ niệm Chúa Hằng Hữu giải cứu chúng ta. Trong cuộc trừng phạt Ai Cập, Ngài đã bỏ qua nhà của người Ít-ra-ên, không giết hại chúng ta.” Nghe Môi-se nói xong, họ cúi đầu thờ lạy.
28 And they went and they did [the] people of Israel just as he had commanded Yahweh Moses and Aaron so they did.
Vậy, người Ít-ra-ên làm mọi điều Môi-se và A-rôn dạy bảo họ theo lệnh Chúa Hằng Hữu.
29 And it was - in [the] middle of the night and Yahweh he struck every firstborn in [the] land of Egypt from [the] firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on throne his unto [the] firstborn of the prisoner who [was] in [the] house of the cistern and every firstborn of livestock.
Nửa đêm hôm ấy, Chúa Hằng Hữu đánh phạt các con trưởng nam của người Ai Cập, từ thái tử cho đến con trưởng nam của tù nhân trong ngục tối, luôn cả con đầu lòng của thú vật họ nữa.
30 And he arose Pharaoh night he and all servants his and all Egypt and it was a cry great in Egypt for there not [was] a house where there not there [was] a dead [person].
Pha-ra-ôn, quần thần, và mọi công dân Ai Cập đều chợt thức giấc lúc nửa đêm, vì có tiếng khóc than ai oán vang lên khắp nơi. Không nhà nào trong cả nước mà không có người chết.
31 And he summoned Moses and Aaron night and he said arise go out from among people my both you as well as [the] people of Israel and go serve Yahweh as said you.
Ngay đêm ấy, Pha-ra-ôn đòi Môi-se và A-rôn đến, nói rằng: “Xin đi khỏi chúng ta! Tất cả người Ít-ra-ên cứ đi hết đi, để thờ phụng Chúa Hằng Hữu như các ông đã nói.
32 Both flock[s] your as well as herd[s] your take just as you said and go and you will bless also me.
Cũng đem theo cả bầy súc vật đi nữa, nhưng đừng quên chúc phước lành cho ta.”
33 And it urged Egypt on the people to hurry to send away them from the land for they said all of us [are] about to die.
Người Ai Cập hối thúc người Ít-ra-ên phải ra khỏi nước họ lập tức, vì than rằng: “Chúng ta chết cả còn gì!”
34 And it carried off the people dough its before it was leavened kneading troughs their [were] bound up in clothes their on shoulder their.
Người Ít-ra-ên gói luôn cả thùng nhồi bột vào áo, trong thùng còn nguyên cả bột đã nhồi không pha men, rồi vác lên vai đem đi.
35 And [the] people of Israel they did according to [the] word of Moses and they asked from Egypt articles of silver and articles of gold and clothes.
Họ cũng làm theo lời Môi-se dặn bảo, xin người Ai Cập các món nữ trang vàng và bạc cùng áo xống.
36 And Yahweh he gave [the] favor of the people in [the] eyes of Egypt and they granted [the] request them and they plundered Egypt.
Chúa Hằng Hữu làm cho người Ai Cập quý mến, cho người Ít-ra-ên những gì họ xin. Thế là lần này người Ai Cập bị người Ít-ra-ên tước đoạt của cải!
37 And they set out [the] people of Israel from Rameses Succoth towards [were] about six hundred thousand foot soldier[s] the men apart from little one[s].
Vậy người dân Ít-ra-ên ra đi, từ Ram-se hướng đến Su-cốt; tổng số khoảng 600.000, không kể phụ nữ và trẻ con. Tất cả đều đi bộ.
38 And also a mixed company numerous it went up with them and flock[s] and herd[s] livestock numerous very.
Cũng có nhiều người ngoại tộc cùng đi với họ. Họ dẫn theo vô số súc vật.
39 And they baked the dough which they had brought out from Egypt bread cakes unleavened bread for not it was leavened for they had been driven out from Egypt and not they had been able to delay and also provision[s] not they had made for themselves.
Dọc đường, họ lấy bột mang theo từ Ai Cập, nướng thành bánh mà ăn. Đó là bột không men họ đã vội vàng bọc theo, khi bị đuổi khỏi Ai Cập, vì lúc ấy không kịp dự bị lương thực gì cả.
40 And [the] dwelling of [the] people of Israel which they dwelt in Egypt [was] thirty year[s] and four hundred year[s].
Thời gian người Ít-ra-ên ở Ai Cập là 430 năm.
41 And it was from [the] end of thirty year[s] and four hundred year[s] and it was on [the] substance of the day this they went out all [the] hosts of Yahweh from [the] land of Egypt.
Đúng vào ngày cuối của năm thứ 430, toàn thể quân đội của Chúa Hằng Hữu bắt đầu rời Ai Cập.
42 [was] a night of Vigil it for Yahweh to bring out them from [the] land of Egypt it the night this for Yahweh vigil for all [the] people of Israel to generations their.
Vào đêm ấy, chính Chúa Hằng Hữu đã giải thoát Ít-ra-ên khỏi Ai Cập. Vậy mỗi năm cứ đến đêm này, người Ít-ra-ên tổ chức lễ tri ân Chúa Hằng Hữu.
43 And he said Yahweh to Moses and Aaron this [is] [the] statute of the passover any son of foreignness not he will eat in it.
Chúa Hằng Hữu phán dạy Môi-se và A-rôn rằng: “Đây là các quy tắc về lễ Vượt Qua: Người ngoại tộc không được ăn lễ.
44 And every slave of anyone [the] purchase of silver and you will circumcise him then he will eat in it.
Về các nô lệ người Ít-ra-ên đã mua, chỉ người nào chịu cắt bì mới được phép ăn lễ.
45 A resident alien and a hired laborer not he will eat in it.
Đầy tớ làm mướn và người ngoại tộc tạm trú không được ăn lễ.
46 In a house one it will be eaten not you will bring out from the house any of the meat [the] outside towards and a bone not you will break in it.
Thịt phải ăn nội trong nhà, đừng đem ra ngoài, cũng đừng làm gãy một cái xương nào.
47 All [the] congregation of Israel they will do it.
Tất cả cộng đồng Ít-ra-ên đều dự lễ Vượt Qua.
48 And if he will sojourn with you a sojourner and he will observe a passover to Yahweh he will be circumcised of him every male and then he will draw near to observe it and he will be like [the] native-born of the land and any uncircumcised [man] not he will eat in it.
Người đàn ông ngoại kiều sống chung trong xã hội Ít-ra-ên muốn dự lễ Vượt Qua của Chúa Hằng Hữu thì phải chịu cắt bì, nếu không sẽ không được ăn lễ.
49 Law one it will be[long] to the native-born and to the sojourner who sojourns in midst of you.
Quy tắc này áp dụng chung cho người sinh ra trong đất Ít-ra-ên và cho ngoại kiều tạm trú.”
50 And they did all [the] people of Israel just as he had commanded Yahweh Moses and Aaron so they did.
Người Ít-ra-ên tuân hành mọi huấn lệnh Chúa Hằng Hữu đã truyền cho Môi-se và A-rôn.
51 And it was on [the] substance of the day this he brought out Yahweh [the] people of Israel from [the] land of Egypt on hosts their.
Chính trong ngày đó, Chúa Hằng Hữu dẫn người Ít-ra-ên ra khỏi Ai Cập theo đội ngũ.
