Esther 9
1 And in two [plus] ten month that [is] [the] month of Adar on thir-teen day in it when it approached [the] word of the king and law his to be done on the day when they had hoped [the] enemies of the Jews to domineer over them and it was reversed it that they domineered the Jews they over [those who] hated them.
Il decimosecondo mese, cioè il mese di Adàr, il tredici del mese, quando l'ordine del re e il suo decreto dovevano essere eseguiti, il giorno in cui i nemici dei Giudei speravano di averli in loro potere, avvenne invece tutto il contrario; poiché i Giudei ebbero in mano i loro nemici.
2 They assembled the Jews in cities their in all [the] provinces of the king Ahasuerus to stretch out a hand on those seeking harm their and anyone not he stood before them for it had fallen dread of them on all the peoples.
I Giudei si radunarono nelle loro città, in tutte le province del re Assuero, per aggredire quelli che cercavano di fare loro del male; nessuno potè resistere loro, perché il timore dei Giudei era piombato su tutti i popoli.
3 And all [the] officials of the provinces and the satraps and the governors and [the] doers of the work which [belonged] to the king [were] supporting the Jews for it had fallen [the] dread of Mordecai on them.
Tutti i capi delle province, i satrapi, i governatori e quelli che curavano gli affari del re diedero man forte ai Giudei, perché il timore di Mardocheo si era impadronito di essi.
4 For [was] great Mordecai in [the] house of the king and [the] report of him [was] going in all the provinces for the man Mordecai [was] going and becoming great.
Perché Mardocheo era grande nella reggia e per tutte le province si diffondeva la fama di quest'uomo; Mardocheo cresceva sempre in potere.
5 And they struck down the Jews all enemies their a striking down of sword and slaughter and destruction and they did over [those who] hated them according to pleasure their.
I Giudei dunque colpirono tutti i nemici, passandoli a fil di spada, uccidendoli e sterminandoli; fecero dei nemici quello che vollero.
6 And in Susa the citadel they killed the Jews and they destroyed five hundred man.
Nella cittadella di Susa i Giudei uccisero e sterminarono cinquecento uomini
7 And - Parshandatha and - Dalphon and - Aspatha.
e misero a morte Parsandàta, Dalfòn, Aspàta,
8 And - Poratha and - Adalia and - Aridatha.
Poràta, Adalià, Aridàta,
9 And - Parmashta and - Arisai and - Aridai and - Vaizatha.
Parmàsta, Arisài, Aridài e Vaizàta,
10 [the] ten [the] sons of Haman [the] son of Hammedatha [the] opposer of the Jews they killed and on the plunder not they stretched out hand their.
i dieci figli di Amàn figlio di Hammedàta, il nemico dei Giudei, ma non si diedero al saccheggio.
11 On the day that it came [the] number of those killed in Susa the citadel before the king.
Quel giorno stesso il numero di quelli che erano stati uccisi nella cittadella di Susa fu portato a conoscenza del re.
12 And he said the king to Esther the queen in Susa the citadel they have killed the Jews and they have destroyed five hundred man and [the] ten [the] sons of Haman in [the] rest of [the] provinces of the king what? have they done and what? [is] petition your so it may be given to you and what? [is] request your more and it may be done.
Il re disse alla regina Ester: «Nella cittadella di Susa i Giudei hanno ucciso, hanno sterminato cinquecento uomini e i dieci figli di Amàn; che avranno mai fatto nelle altre province del re? Ora che chiedi di più? Ti sarà dato. Che altro desideri? Sarà fatto!».
13 And she said Esther if [is] on the king good let it be permitted also tomorrow to the Jews who [are] in Susa to do according to [the] law of this day and [the] ten [the] sons of Haman let them hang on the gallows.
Allora Ester disse: «Se così piace al re, sia permesso ai Giudei che sono a Susa di fare anche domani quello che era stato decretato per oggi; siano impiccati al palo i dieci figli di Amàn».
14 And he said the king to be done thus and it was given [the] law in Susa and [the] ten [the] sons of Haman people hanged.
Il re ordinò che così fosse fatto. Il decreto fu promulgato a Susa. I dieci figli di Amàn furono appesi al palo.
15 And they assembled (the Jews *Q(k)*) who [were] in Susa also on day four-teen of [the] month of Adar and they killed in Susa three hundred man and on the plunder not they stretched out hand their.
I Giudei che erano a Susa si radunarono ancora il quattordici del mese di Adàr e uccisero a Susa trecento uomini; ma non si diedero al saccheggio.
16 And [the] remainder of the Jews who [were] in [the] provinces of the king they assembled - and they made a stand on life their and they had rest from enemies their and they killed among [those who] hated them five and seventy thousand and on the plunder not they stretched out hand their.
Anche gli altri Giudei che erano nelle province del re si radunarono, difesero la loro vita e si misero al sicuro dagli attacchi dei nemici; uccisero settantacinquemila di quelli che li odiavano, ma non si diedero al saccheggio.
17 On day thir-teen of [the] month of Adar and they rested on [day] four-teen in it and they made it a day of feast and joy.
Questo avvenne il tredici del mese di Adàr; il quattordici si riposarono e ne fecero un giorno di banchetto e di gioia.
18 (And the Jews *Q(k)*) who [were] in Susa they assembled on [day] thir-teen in it and on [day] four-teen in it and they rested on [day] fif-teen in it and they made it a day of feast and joy.
Ma i Giudei che erano a Susa si radunarono il tredici e il quattordici di quel mese; il quindici si riposarono e ne fecero un giorno di banchetto e di gioia.
19 There-fore the Jews (the rural villagers *Q(k)*) who were dwelling in [the] cities of the open regions [are] observing day four-teen of [the] month Adar joy and a feast and a day good and [the] sending of portions each to neighbor his.
Perciò i Giudei della campagna, che abitano in città non circondate da mura, fanno del quattordici del mese di Adàr un giorno di gioia, di banchetto e di festa, nel quale si mandano regali gli uni gli altri. Invece gli abitanti delle grandi città celebrano come giorno di allegra festività il quindici di Adàr, mandando regali ai vicini.
20 And he wrote Mordecai the words these and he sent out letters to all the Jews who [were] in all [the] provinces of the king Ahasuerus near and far.
Mardocheo scrisse questi avvenimenti e mandò lettere a tutti i Giudei che erano in tutte le province del re Assuero, vicini e lontani,
21 To impose on them to be observing day four-teen of [the] month Adar and day fif-teen in it in every year and year.
per stabilire che ogni anno celebrassero il quattordici e il quindici del mese di Adàr,
22 As the days when they had rest on them the Jews from enemies their and the month when it was changed for them from sorrow into joy and from mourning into a day good to make them days of feast and joy and [the] sending of portions each to neighbor his and gifts to the needy [people].
perché giorni nei quali i Giudei ebbero tregua dagli attacchi dei nemici e il mese in cui il loro dolore era stato mutato in gioia, il loro lutto in festa, e perché facessero di questi giorni giorni di banchetto e di gioia, nei quali si mandassero regali scambievolmente e si facessero doni ai poveri.
23 And he accepted the Jews [that] which they had begun to do and [that] which he had written Mordecai to them.
I Giudei si impegnarono a continuare quello che avevano gia cominciato a fare e che Mardocheo aveva loro prescritto.
24 For Haman [the] son of Hammedatha the Agagite [the] opposer of all the Jews he had planned on the Jews to destroy them and he had cast Pur that [is] the lot to trouble them and to destroy them.
Amàn infatti, il figlio di Hammedàta l'Agaghita, il nemico di tutti i Giudei, aveva tramato contro i Giudei per distruggerli e aveva gettato il pur, cioè la sorte, per confonderli e farli perire;
25 And when came it before the king he said with the letter let it return plan his evil which he had planned on the Jews on own head his and people will hang him and sons his on the gallows.
ma quando Ester si fu presentata al re, questi ordinò con documenti scritti che la scellerata trama di Amàn contro i Giudei fosse fatta ricadere sul capo di lui e che egli e i suoi figli fossero impiccati al palo.
26 There-fore people called the days these Purim on [the] name of the Pur there-fore on all [the] words of the letter this and whatever they had seen on thus and whatever it had happened to them.
Perciò quei giorni furono chiamati Purim dalla parola pur. Secondo tutto il contenuto di quella lettera, in seguito a quanto avevano visto a questo proposito ed era loro avvenuto,
27 They imposed (and they accepted *Q(K)*) the Jews - on themselves - and on offspring their and on all who joined themselves to them and not it will pass away to be observing [the] two the days these according to writing their and according to appointed time their in every year and year.
i Giudei stabilirono e presero per sé, per la loro stirpe e per quanti si sarebbero aggiunti a loro, l'impegno inviolabile di celebrare ogni anno quei due giorni, secondo le disposizioni di quello scritto e alla data fissata.
28 And the days these [were] remembered and observed in every generation and generation clan and clan province and province and city and city and [the] days of the Purim these not they will pass away from among the Jews and remembrance their not it will cease from offspring their.
Questi giorni devono essere commemorati e celebrati di generazione in generazione, in ogni famiglia, in ogni provincia, in ogni città; questi giorni di Purim non devono cessare mai di essere celebrati fra i Giudei e il loro ricordo non dovrà mai cancellarsi fra i loro discendenti.
29 And she wrote Esther the queen [the] daughter of Abihail and Mordecai the Jew all authority to confirm [the] letter of the Purim this second.
La regina Ester figlia di Abicàil e il giudeo Mardocheo scrissero con ogni autorità per dar valore a questa loro seconda lettera relativa ai Purim.
30 And he sent letters to all the Jews to seven and twenty and one hundred province[s] [the] kingdom of Ahasuerus words of peace and truth.
Si mandarono lettere a tutti i Giudei nelle centoventisette province del regno di Assuero, con parole di saluto e di fedeltà,
31 To confirm [the] days of the Purim these at appointed times their just as he had imposed on them Mordecai the Jew and Esther the queen and just as they had imposed on self their and on offspring their [the] words of the fasts and cry of distress their.
per stabilire questi giorni di Purim nelle loro date precise, come li avevano ordinati il giudeo Mardocheo e la regina Ester e come essi stessi li avevano stabiliti per sé e per i loro discendenti, in occasione del loro digiuno e della loro invocazione.
32 And [the] command of Esther it confirmed [the] words of the Purim these and [it was] written in the book.
Un ordine di Ester stabilì le circostanze di questi Purim e fu scritto in un libro.
