Esther 9
1 And in two [plus] ten month that [is] [the] month of Adar on thir-teen day in it when it approached [the] word of the king and law his to be done on the day when they had hoped [the] enemies of the Jews to domineer over them and it was reversed it that they domineered the Jews they over [those who] hated them.
Im zwölften Monden, das ist der Mond Adar, am dreizehnten Tage, den des Königs Wort und Gebot bestimmt hatte, daß man's tun sollte, eben desselben Tages, da die Feinde der Juden hofften, sie zu überwältigen, wandte sich's, daß die Juden ihre Feinde überwältigen sollten.
2 They assembled the Jews in cities their in all [the] provinces of the king Ahasuerus to stretch out a hand on those seeking harm their and anyone not he stood before them for it had fallen dread of them on all the peoples.
Da versammelten sich die Juden in ihren Städten, in allen Landen des Königs Ahasveros, daß sie die Hand legten an die, so ihnen übel wollten. Und niemand konnte ihnen widerstehen; denn Furcht war über alle Völker kommen.
3 And all [the] officials of the provinces and the satraps and the governors and [the] doers of the work which [belonged] to the king [were] supporting the Jews for it had fallen [the] dread of Mordecai on them.
Auch alle Obersten in Landen und Fürsten und Landpfleger und Amtleute des Königs erhuben die Juden; denn die Furcht Mardachais kam über sie.
4 For [was] great Mordecai in [the] house of the king and [the] report of him [was] going in all the provinces for the man Mordecai [was] going and becoming great.
Denn Mardachai war groß im Hause des Königs, und sein Gerücht erscholl in allen Ländern, wie er zunähme und groß würde.
5 And they struck down the Jews all enemies their a striking down of sword and slaughter and destruction and they did over [those who] hated them according to pleasure their.
Also schlugen die Juden an allen ihren Feinden mit der Schwertschlacht und würgeten und brachten um und taten nach ihrem Willen an denen, die ihnen feind waren.
6 And in Susa the citadel they killed the Jews and they destroyed five hundred man.
Und zu Schloß Susan erwürgeten die Juden und brachten um fünfhundert Mann.
7 And - Parshandatha and - Dalphon and - Aspatha.
Dazu erwürgeten sie Parsandatha, Dalphon, Aspatha,
8 And - Poratha and - Adalia and - Aridatha.
Poratha, Adalja, Aridatha,
9 And - Parmashta and - Arisai and - Aridai and - Vaizatha.
Parmastha, Arisai, Aridai, Vajesatha,
10 [the] ten [the] sons of Haman [the] son of Hammedatha [the] opposer of the Jews they killed and on the plunder not they stretched out hand their.
die zehn Söhne Hamans, des Sohns Medathas, des Judenfeindes; aber an seine Güter legten sie ihre Hände nicht.
11 On the day that it came [the] number of those killed in Susa the citadel before the king.
Zu derselbigen Zeit kam die Zahl der Erwürgten gen Schloß Susan vor den König.
12 And he said the king to Esther the queen in Susa the citadel they have killed the Jews and they have destroyed five hundred man and [the] ten [the] sons of Haman in [the] rest of [the] provinces of the king what? have they done and what? [is] petition your so it may be given to you and what? [is] request your more and it may be done.
Und der König sprach zu der Königin Esther: Die Juden haben zu Schloß Susan fünfhundert Mann erwürget und umgebracht und die zehn Söhne Hamans; was werden sie tun in den andern Ländern des Königs? Was bittest du, daß man dir gebe? und was forderst du mehr, daß man tue?
13 And she said Esther if [is] on the king good let it be permitted also tomorrow to the Jews who [are] in Susa to do according to [the] law of this day and [the] ten [the] sons of Haman let them hang on the gallows.
Esther sprach: Gefällt es dem Könige, so lasse er auch morgen die Juden zu Susan tun nach dem heutigen Gebot, daß sie die zehn Söhne Hamans an den Baum hängen.
14 And he said the king to be done thus and it was given [the] law in Susa and [the] ten [the] sons of Haman people hanged.
Und der König hieß also tun. Und das Gebot ward zu Susan angeschlagen, und die zehn Söhne Hamans wurden gehänget.
15 And they assembled (the Jews *Q(k)*) who [were] in Susa also on day four-teen of [the] month of Adar and they killed in Susa three hundred man and on the plunder not they stretched out hand their.
Und die Juden versammelten sich zu Susan am vierzehnten Tage des Monden Adar und erwürgeten zu Susan dreihundert Mann; aber an ihre Güter legten sie ihre Hände nicht.
16 And [the] remainder of the Jews who [were] in [the] provinces of the king they assembled - and they made a stand on life their and they had rest from enemies their and they killed among [those who] hated them five and seventy thousand and on the plunder not they stretched out hand their.
Aber die andern Juden in den Ländern des Königs kamen zusammen und stunden für ihr Leben, daß sie Ruhe schaffeten vor ihren Feinden; und erwürgeten ihrer Feinde fünfundsiebenzigtausend; aber an ihre Güter legten sie ihre Hände nicht.
17 On day thir-teen of [the] month of Adar and they rested on [day] four-teen in it and they made it a day of feast and joy.
Das geschah am dreizehnten Tage des Monden Adar, und ruheten am vierzehnten Tage desselben Monden; den machte man zum Tage des Wohllebens und Freuden.
18 (And the Jews *Q(k)*) who [were] in Susa they assembled on [day] thir-teen in it and on [day] four-teen in it and they rested on [day] fif-teen in it and they made it a day of feast and joy.
Aber die Juden zu Susan waren zusammenkommen, beide am dreizehnten und vierzehnten Tage, und ruheten am fünfzehnten Tage; und den Tag machte man zum Tage des Wohllebens und Freuden.
19 There-fore the Jews (the rural villagers *Q(k)*) who were dwelling in [the] cities of the open regions [are] observing day four-teen of [the] month Adar joy and a feast and a day good and [the] sending of portions each to neighbor his.
Darum machten die Juden, die auf den Dörfern und Flecken wohneten, den vierzehnten Tag des Monden Adar zum Tage des Wohllebens und Freuden, und sandte einer dem andern Geschenke.
20 And he wrote Mordecai the words these and he sent out letters to all the Jews who [were] in all [the] provinces of the king Ahasuerus near and far.
Und Mardachai beschrieb diese Geschichte und sandte die Briefe zu allen Juden, die in allen Ländern des Königs Ahasveros waren, beide nahen und fernen,
21 To impose on them to be observing day four-teen of [the] month Adar and day fif-teen in it in every year and year.
daß sie annähmen und hielten den vierzehnten und fünfzehnten Tag des Monden Adar jährlich,
22 As the days when they had rest on them the Jews from enemies their and the month when it was changed for them from sorrow into joy and from mourning into a day good to make them days of feast and joy and [the] sending of portions each to neighbor his and gifts to the needy [people].
nach den Tagen, darinnen die Juden zur Ruhe kommen waren von ihren Feinden, und nach dem Monden, darinnen ihre Schmerzen in Freude und ihr Leid in gute Tage verkehret war, daß sie dieselben halten sollten für Tage des Wohllebens und Freuden, und einer dem andern Geschenke schicken und den Armen mitteilen.
23 And he accepted the Jews [that] which they had begun to do and [that] which he had written Mordecai to them.
Und die Juden nahmen's an, das sie angefangen hatten zu tun, und das Mardachai zu ihnen schrieb:
24 For Haman [the] son of Hammedatha the Agagite [the] opposer of all the Jews he had planned on the Jews to destroy them and he had cast Pur that [is] the lot to trouble them and to destroy them.
wie Haman, der Sohn Medathas, der Agagiter, aller Juden Feind, gedacht hatte, alle Juden umzubringen, und das Los werfen lassen, sie zu schrecken und umzubringen;
25 And when came it before the king he said with the letter let it return plan his evil which he had planned on the Jews on own head his and people will hang him and sons his on the gallows.
und wie Esther zum Könige gegangen war und geredet, daß durch Briefe seine bösen Anschläge, die er wider die Juden gedacht, auf seinen Kopf gekehret würden; und wie man ihn und seine Söhne an den Baum gehänget hätte.
26 There-fore people called the days these Purim on [the] name of the Pur there-fore on all [the] words of the letter this and whatever they had seen on thus and whatever it had happened to them.
Daher sie diese Tage Purim nannten nach dem Namen des Loses, nach allen Worten dieses Briefes, und was sie selbst gesehen hatten, und was an sie gelanget war.
27 They imposed (and they accepted *Q(K)*) the Jews - on themselves - and on offspring their and on all who joined themselves to them and not it will pass away to be observing [the] two the days these according to writing their and according to appointed time their in every year and year.
Und die Juden richteten es auf und nahmen es auf sich und auf ihren Samen und auf alle, die sich zu ihnen taten, daß sie nicht übergehen wollten, zu halten diese zween Tage jährlich, wie die beschrieben und bestimmt wurden,
28 And the days these [were] remembered and observed in every generation and generation clan and clan province and province and city and city and [the] days of the Purim these not they will pass away from among the Jews and remembrance their not it will cease from offspring their.
daß diese Tage nicht zu vergessen, sondern zu halten seien bei Kindeskindern, bei allen Geschlechtern in allen Ländern und Städten. Es sind die Tage Purim, welche nicht sollen übergangen werden unter den Juden, und ihr Gedächtnis nicht umkommen bei ihrem Samen.
29 And she wrote Esther the queen [the] daughter of Abihail and Mordecai the Jew all authority to confirm [the] letter of the Purim this second.
Und die Königin Esther, die Tochter Abihails, und Mardachai, der Jude, schrieben mit ganzer Gewalt, zu bestätigen diesen andern Brief von Purim.
30 And he sent letters to all the Jews to seven and twenty and one hundred province[s] [the] kingdom of Ahasuerus words of peace and truth.
Und sandte die Briefe zu allen Juden in den hundertundsiebenundzwanzig Ländern des Königreichs Ahasveros mit freundlichen und treuen Worten:
31 To confirm [the] days of the Purim these at appointed times their just as he had imposed on them Mordecai the Jew and Esther the queen and just as they had imposed on self their and on offspring their [the] words of the fasts and cry of distress their.
daß sie bestätigten diese Tage Purim auf ihre bestimmte Zeit, wie Mardachai, der Jude, über sie bestätiget hatte, und die Königin Esther; wie sie auf ihre Seele und auf ihren Samen bestätiget hatten die Geschichte der Fasten und ihres Schreiens.
32 And [the] command of Esther it confirmed [the] words of the Purim these and [it was] written in the book.
Und Esther befahl, die Geschichte dieser Purim zu bestätigen und in ein Buch zu schreiben.
