< Esther 9 >

1 And in two [plus] ten month that [is] [the] month of Adar on thir-teen day in it when it approached [the] word of the king and law his to be done on the day when they had hoped [the] enemies of the Jews to domineer over them and it was reversed it that they domineered the Jews they over [those who] hated them.
Siangpahrang lokpaekhaih baktih toengah, sakhaih atue anghnaih moe, Judahnawk ih misa ah kaom kaminawk mah Judahnawk ngawn loe ka pazawk o tih, tiah a poek o haih ih niah oh e, Judahnawk mah nihcae hnuma kaminawk pazawk lathaih ni, khrah hatlai hnetto haih, Adar khrah, ni hatlai thumto naah,
2 They assembled the Jews in cities their in all [the] provinces of the king Ahasuerus to stretch out a hand on those seeking harm their and anyone not he stood before them for it had fallen dread of them on all the peoples.
nihcae tamit hanah pacaeng kaminawk tuk hanah, Ahasuerus siangpahrang prae thung boih ah kaom Judahnawk loe nawnto amkhueng o; kaminawk boih mah nihcae to zit o pongah, mi mah doeh nihcae to sui ai.
3 And all [the] officials of the provinces and the satraps and the governors and [the] doers of the work which [belonged] to the king [were] supporting the Jews for it had fallen [the] dread of Mordecai on them.
Mordekai to zit o pongah, prae ukkungnawk, bomkung angraengnawk, vangpui ukkungnawk, siangpahrang toksah kaminawk mah Judahnawk to abomh o.
4 For [was] great Mordecai in [the] house of the king and [the] report of him [was] going in all the provinces for the man Mordecai [was] going and becoming great.
Mordekai loe siangpahrang im ah lensawkhaih hoiah oh, anih ih ahmin loe prae kruekah amthang; anih loe nito hoi nito ahmin amthang aep aep.
5 And they struck down the Jews all enemies their a striking down of sword and slaughter and destruction and they did over [those who] hated them according to pleasure their.
To na niah Judahnawk mah angmacae ih misanawk to sumsen hoiah takroek o, nihcae to hum o moe, amro o sak boih; a sak koeh o ih baktih toengah nihcae hnuma kaminawk nuiah a sak o.
6 And in Susa the citadel they killed the Jews and they destroyed five hundred man.
Siangpahrang ohhaih Susan vangpui thungah, Judahnawk mah kami cumvai pangato hum o.
7 And - Parshandatha and - Dalphon and - Aspatha.
Judahnawk ih misa Mammedatha capa, Haman capa hatonawk; Parshandatha, Dalphon, Aspatha, Poratha, Adalia, Aridatha, Parmashta, Arisai, Aridai hoi Vajezatha cae to hum pae o boih.
8 And - Poratha and - Adalia and - Aridatha.
9 And - Parmashta and - Arisai and - Aridai and - Vaizatha.
10 [the] ten [the] sons of Haman [the] son of Hammedatha [the] opposer of the Jews they killed and on the plunder not they stretched out hand their.
11 On the day that it came [the] number of those killed in Susa the citadel before the king.
To na niah siangpahrang ohhaih Susan vangpui thungah hum o ih kaminawk to siangpahrang hmaa sinh pae o.
12 And he said the king to Esther the queen in Susa the citadel they have killed the Jews and they have destroyed five hundred man and [the] ten [the] sons of Haman in [the] rest of [the] provinces of the king what? have they done and what? [is] petition your so it may be given to you and what? [is] request your more and it may be done.
Siangpahrang mah siangpahrang zu Esther khaeah, Judahnawk mah Susan vangpui thungah kami cumvai pangato hoi Haman ih capa hatonawk to hum o moe, tamit o boih boeh; kalah siangpahrang ukhaih prae thungah timaw sah o vop tih? Vaihi tahmen nang hnikhaih timaw oh vop? Nang hnik ih hmuen to kang sak pae han; to tih ai boeh loe tih kalah hmuen maw nang hnik let han vop? Nang hnik ih hmuen to kang paek han, tiah a naa.
13 And she said Esther if [is] on the king good let it be permitted also tomorrow to the Jews who [are] in Susa to do according to [the] law of this day and [the] ten [the] sons of Haman let them hang on the gallows.
Esther mah, Siangpahrang koehhaih baktiah ka oh nahaeloe, vaihniah a sak o ih baktih toengah, khawnbangah doeh sak o hanah Susan vangpui ah kaom Judahnawk khaeah lokpaek ah. Haman ih capa hatonawk to tung pongah bang o nasoe, tiah a naa.
14 And he said the king to be done thus and it was given [the] law in Susa and [the] ten [the] sons of Haman people hanged.

15 And they assembled (the Jews *Q(k)*) who [were] in Susa also on day four-teen of [the] month of Adar and they killed in Susa three hundred man and on the plunder not they stretched out hand their.
Susan vangpui ah kaom Judahnawk loe, Adar khrah, ni hatlai palito naah nawnto amkhueng o moe, Susan vangpui ah kami cumvai thumto hum o; toe hmuennawk loe lomh pae o ai.
16 And [the] remainder of the Jews who [were] in [the] provinces of the king they assembled - and they made a stand on life their and they had rest from enemies their and they killed among [those who] hated them five and seventy thousand and on the plunder not they stretched out hand their.
Toe siangpahrang ukhaih prae thungah kaom kalah Judahnawk doeh, angmacae hinghaih to angvaeng o, nihcae loe misa ban thungah pha o ai kamongah khosak o; nihcae loe nawnto amkhueng o moe, angmacae ih misa sing sarih, sang pangato hum o, toe hmuennawk loe la pae o ai,
17 On day thir-teen of [the] month of Adar and they rested on [day] four-teen in it and they made it a day of feast and joy.
to tiah kaom hmuen loe Adar khrah, ni hatlai thumto niah oh, ni hatlai palito naah loe, anghak o moe, anghoehaih hoiah buhraenghaih poih to a sak o.
18 (And the Jews *Q(k)*) who [were] in Susa they assembled on [day] thir-teen in it and on [day] four-teen in it and they rested on [day] fif-teen in it and they made it a day of feast and joy.
Toe Susan vangpui ah kaom Judahnawk loe ni hatlai thumto hoi ni hatlai palito naah, nawnto amkhueng o; ni hatlai pangato naah loe anghak o moe, anghoehaih hoiah buhraenghaih poih to a sak o.
19 There-fore the Jews (the rural villagers *Q(k)*) who were dwelling in [the] cities of the open regions [are] observing day four-teen of [the] month Adar joy and a feast and a day good and [the] sending of portions each to neighbor his.
Tapang pakaahaih om ai avang ah kaom Judahnawk doeh, Adar khrah, hatlai palito haih nito, ani kahoih, anghoehaih hoi buhraenghaih ni, maeto hoi maeto tangqum paekhaih niah patoh o.
20 And he wrote Mordecai the words these and he sent out letters to all the Jews who [were] in all [the] provinces of the king Ahasuerus near and far.
Hae tiah kaom hmuennawk to Mordekai mah cabu thungah tarik moe, Ahasuerus siangpahrang ukhaih prae thung boih, kangthla hoi kanghnai ah kaom Judahnawk boih khaeah,
21 To impose on them to be observing day four-teen of [the] month Adar and day fif-teen in it in every year and year.
saning kruek, Adar khrah, ni hatlai palito hoi ni hatlai pangato naah patoh han ih,
22 As the days when they had rest on them the Jews from enemies their and the month when it was changed for them from sorrow into joy and from mourning into a day good to make them days of feast and joy and [the] sending of portions each to neighbor his and gifts to the needy [people].
Judah kaminawk misa ban thung hoi loihaih, palungsethaih to anghoehaih ah angcoenghaih akhrah, qahhaih to nawmhaih ah angcoenghaih ni to poihsakhaih hoi anghoehaih niah patoh moe, maeto hoi maeto tangqum angpaekhaih ni, amtang kaminawk abomhaih niah patoh o poe hanah, ca a pat pae.
23 And he accepted the Jews [that] which they had begun to do and [that] which he had written Mordecai to them.
Mordekai mah ca pat ih baktih toengah, Judahnawk mah sak amtong o;
24 For Haman [the] son of Hammedatha the Agagite [the] opposer of all the Jews he had planned on the Jews to destroy them and he had cast Pur that [is] the lot to trouble them and to destroy them.
Judahnawk ih misa Agag acaeng Hammedatha capa Haman loe, Judahnawk to hum moe, tamit boih hanah, Pur, tiah kawk ih, taham khethaih phoisa to a vah;
25 And when came it before the king he said with the letter let it return plan his evil which he had planned on the Jews on own head his and people will hang him and sons his on the gallows.

26 There-fore people called the days these Purim on [the] name of the Pur there-fore on all [the] words of the letter this and whatever they had seen on thus and whatever it had happened to them.
To pongah nihcae mah Pur, tiah kaom ahmin to lak o moe, vaihni ni khoek to to ih ani to Purim, tiah kawk o. To ih ca pongah kaom lokpaekhaihnawk boih hoi nihcae mah hnuk o ih hmuen kawng pongah,
27 They imposed (and they accepted *Q(K)*) the Jews - on themselves - and on offspring their and on all who joined themselves to them and not it will pass away to be observing [the] two the days these according to writing their and according to appointed time their in every year and year.
Judahnawk loe angmacae hoi a caanawk boih, nihcae phung ah akun kaminawk boih, Mordekai mah tarik ih ca baktih, anih mah khaeh ih ni baktih toengah, aek ai ah saning kruek, hae ani hnetto hae uumhaih sak han ih,
28 And the days these [were] remembered and observed in every generation and generation clan and clan province and province and city and city and [the] days of the Purim these not they will pass away from among the Jews and remembrance their not it will cease from offspring their.
Pur ni loe Judah kaminawk thung hoiah anghmat ving han ai ah, a caanawk dung khoek to anghma ai ah, adung maeto pacoeng maeto khoek to patoh han ih, angmacae imthung takoh boih, prae boih hoi vangpuinawk boih ah pahnet ai ah patoh hanah a thuih pae o.
29 And she wrote Esther the queen [the] daughter of Abihail and Mordecai the Jew all authority to confirm [the] letter of the Purim this second.
To pacoengah Abihail canu Esther hoi Judah acaeng Mordekai mah, Purim ni to caksak poe hanah, sakthaihaih tha patoh moe, vai hnetto haih ca tarik hoi let.
30 And he sent letters to all the Jews to seven and twenty and one hundred province[s] [the] kingdom of Ahasuerus words of peace and truth.
Mordekai mah Ahasuerus siangpahrang ukhaih prae cumvai, pumphae sarihto thungah kaom, Judah kaminawk boih khaeah, monghaih hoi khosak hoihaih loknawk hoiah ca to pat pae hoi.
31 To confirm [the] days of the Purim these at appointed times their just as he had imposed on them Mordecai the Jew and Esther the queen and just as they had imposed on self their and on offspring their [the] words of the fasts and cry of distress their.
Atue phak naah, Purim ni to patoh hanah, Judah kami Mordekai hoi siangpahrang zu Esther ih lokpaekhaih baktih toengah, angmacae hoi a caanawk dung khoek to, buhzahhaih hoi qahhaih tue ah patoh o hanah, lokpaekhaih to a sak hoi.
32 And [the] command of Esther it confirmed [the] words of the Purim these and [it was] written in the book.
